The buttons are too small, too close together and do too many things resulting in winding up where you don't want to be or at least on a different channel than you desire. The picture is good, but the sound is only OK. Definitely overrated unless your hearing is as good as a newborn's. As most adults hearing is not that good the audio portion of the tv leaves something to be desired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV for kids Room The TV is nice and and has a lot of good features. It isnt bad to set up and if you have other Samsung TVs you should feel at home with the interface. There are lots a great feature with the Picture and Sound with fine tune adjustments and even a little help from AI. If you like gamings this TV has everything you need and would want from a TV. Short on consoles, no problem as you can play XBOX Gamepass or Amazon Luna right from the TV. The downside to the TV is that there are significant delays in waiting on menus to appear and loading into the games service. (Good news is once you are in a game it works well.) Sometimes the streaming quality for streaming services can be a little degraded when compared to a set top box at 4K but that is to be expected. This is a great budget TV that does everything that it would a nd some thing that you wouldn't expect, but sometimes at a delay and doesn't perform as well as it more expensive Samsung TVs.

I takes a moment to learn where things are to make changes, as I heavily use over the area broadcasting, and there is a regular need to rescan the channels. The remote is a little quirky. Having a similar one on another Samsung tv made using it more familiar and less of a headache. I really do not like the remotes button for channel up and down. The unit connected easily to a Sony 4k, Ultra-HD blue-ray/dvd player. Overall good value for the price. Good picture and sound quality.

It has sleek and slim design that I really appreciate in my space. Also, it comes loaded with a plethora of apps and features. I really want to give it 5 stars, but the menus and UI just aren’t quite as fast as I was hoping for. It’s definitely not slow, but every now and then it takes a few seconds to launch an app, or navigate through certain menus. But overall I am extremely happy with this tv, and i definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a small smart tv that does it all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV upgrade Our new Samsung 43 inch QN43Q8FAAFXZA TV was easy to unpack and setup. The picture is exceptional, even in a bright sunny room. Watching sports and movies is a whole new experience! Sound is as expected on a TV, a bit tinny without a lot of bass. My biggest gripe with the audio is the experience using an external speaker, auto volume no longer functions, you cannot use TV and external speakers at the same time. Samsung soundbars are able to work with the TV speakers with Samsung's QSymphony feature. My soundbar is not a Samsung soundbar so i could not experience QSymphony. The TizenOS is easier to navigate than i expected and streaming app experience was fairly pleasant. So much so I quit using my FireTV, easier to use TizenOS. I have a complaint with how the TV starts up, it annoyingly starts the Samsung TV app. It was not as easy as it should be to turn off. Without Samsung TV app it searches for another source, on-air channels in my case, which can be a very low quality viewing experience. I wish you could select an app to be opened at startup (to be fair there could be a way of doing this i do not know about). Playing my PS5 on this Samsung TV was a smooth responsive experience. The battles look so much more alive now, so much easier on the eyes. A nice bonus is the built-in Smartthings hub. I was able to add this hub into my ecosystem easily and appears to be stable. The Samsung 43 inch QN43Q8FAAFXZA is much more TV than I hoped to be able to afford.

The sound is great and I did not feel the need to buy a sound bar. The set up was super easy and I was enjoying my TV in no time. I am not a gamer so the QLED was the perfect choice for me at a great price. I do wish the Samsung TV's would come on a base, instead of legs, so you could swivel the TV and it would fit on a smaller stand. It would also be nice if the legs would have the capability to raise higher. Overall I am happy with my purchase and love Samsung quality.

They both provide superior picture quality and you can see a difference between the OLD and the QLED however they both serve useful purposes and I would definitely purchase them again if needed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected The QF8 43" was disappointing considering its price. The picture was fine when straight in front of it but starts to get washed out at about 5 degrees. Brightness was fine and color was good. Noticed the side edges were a little grey on a white background. Since this is a small TV and I sit fairly close to it, the sound was real good; good enough that a soundbar is not needed. The remote is fine and I like the idea it was rechargeable. There are many TV's that perform as nice as this one at this one at half the price (or more), which is why I returned it. I was expecting a vivid picture at this price point. Not a bad TV but also not great.

Gaming mode works for the most part flawlessly. The only thing is, it has some weird bars on the picture sometimes. They can be distracting, but it's a bit rare. If it wasn't for that, it would be a 5-star review. But all in all, I love it.

Then in November, I noticed two yellow vertical streaks in the middle of the screen. They’re very noticeable when the screen is displaying a white or light colored scene. Very disappointing as I have had other Samsung smart tvs and have had no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not user friendly at all Very hard to use. You have to wait a long time before the channel you want actually comes up on the screen. There is all this Samsung TV stuff to get through before the channel you want shows up. The sound is very muffled…this TV cost a lot. The sound should be excellent. Color is garish and viewing angle is restricted. Would not buy a Samsung again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall satisfaction Overall, I am happy with my tv. The only feature I really dislike is the motion sensor turning the tv on each time I pass by. It’s annoying and a waste of energy. I tried to turn it off, but with no success. Recently , the tv has been turning on but with no image. This is slightly concerning as I wonder if something is breaking down with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture The TV is everything I could have wanted. The picture is really good, sharp resolution, vibrant color, and brightness and I didn’t have to adjust it at all. I’m still learning some of the features and the best way to navigate everything but I’m very pleased with it and recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is great except the remote This TV was purchased as a secondary unit. Picture is very good quality. We strictly stream with it. My only gripe is the same as so many others; the remote sucks! Because it’s not our main TV I haven’t dove into all the settings options yet and so far haven’t felt the need to either. For the money this is an excellent TV and Samsung Plus Channels are a nice bonus. I have plans to buy the 55” for my son’s new apartment as a house warming gift.

With the addition of a decent soundbar, it is hard to beat the audio/video quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and use. I absolutely love this television. It is intuitive so setup and operation has been a breeze. I haven't needed the instruction manual at all. I was building my own stand to mount it to, and I wasn't able to definitively able to determine its weight as the stand parts I was looking at were rated for a specific maximum weight. I called customer service and they were able to instantaneously find and deliver the weight to me. Mounting the television was very simple for just one person who has serious back problems, and now my television and mount match my room perfectly. Thank you, Samsung, for making yet another quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More good than bad. Our TV is on about 10 hours a day. It’s background noise mostly. But, I’ve noticed that sometimes, it just goes black. The remote is not where anyone can change the channel. No other interference. But, it will just go black. If you simply change the channel up or down, it resets and the picture comes back until next time.

If I turn on a video game or my 4k uhd player it even automatically switches the input for me. This is definitely the best television I’ve ever owned and I am completely happy with my purchase. The price was affordable enough though I would expected to have paid more for it after experiencing how well it performs. I really love my new Samsung tv and would like the company to know they do an excellent job! Thanks so much for making awesome products!!!

I push the sound through an Onkyo 5.1 receiver with ARC and Atmos support and once I figured out the best settings and switched to an HDMI 2.1 high speed cable my setup is exactly what I wanted. Thanks Samsung!

The 43” Samsung Q8F delivers one of the best pictures I’ve ever seen on a TV this size. The colors are insanely vivid, the contrast is incredible, and the 4K clarity makes everything look cinematic. Sports, movies, YouTube, streaming — literally everything looks premium. The Vision AI features are surprisingly impressive and actually enhance the viewing experience instead of feeling gimmicky. The TV adjusts beautifully depending on what you’re watching, and the motion handling is buttery smooth. Gaming on this thing is also phenomenal with almost no noticeable lag. The design is sleek, modern, and ultra clean. It instantly upgraded the look of my room. Setup was simple, the smart features are fast, and navigating apps is effortless. Samsung absolutely knocked it out of the park with this model. I’ve owned a lot of TVs over the years, and this is hands down one of the best overall experiences I’ve had. And we just brought another Samsung larger TV (98") and its the WHOLE Family love it. Never got a product review on it. However, the only thing with that TV (98") is we don't like the product when it GRAY's out some items like channel searches; once you search (it grays out items, in other words you cannot search again for channels) IAW Samsung TECH support. that's the only bad item for this 98" Samsung TV.

The motion detector was on, and it took me a while to find how to disengage it because no manual comes with the TV, and I take one star away for this inconvenience. You must have internet access to the manual. Overall, I am pleased with the TV and recommend it for its features, picture & brightness!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Love My New TV I had a fire in my home and was made to destroy and remove all electrical and electronic devices along with anything padded, paper or plastic. Basically, everything I own. I did my research and was very concerned for sound quality coming to the front of the tv and, of course picture quality. This 43in is a delight. The fact that I can get major station subgroups through Samsung is wonderful, and I managed to hook up a long range indoor antenna to get more local stations. The solar remote is strange, so far it hasn't needed charging. The tv is easy to control, easy to load or added extra station apps, too. The picture is great. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed. Volume too low. Needs a boost. There is a lag time when going from sound off to sound on. And the sound itself is all over the board. The main complaint I have is controlling the volume. I had the same kind of TV before my new one. The sound is much worse. I realize you want to sell me products that will make my sound more reliable but that should not be necessary. When you buy a new TV, it should be turn key and complete. I should not have to buy extra controls to get the right volume. Your greed has cost you a customer. I will not buy Samsung again.
