I watch movies off the apps and I also play xbox on it, though it's a bit big for gameplay it cast a great array of colors and fps is perfect. Alexa voice controls work flawless and I never miss my shows. Overall great buy and I didn't even put in the sound bar it isn't needed.

This TV allows us to watch our games with high performance and amazing graphics. You will not be disappointed! It makes it easy when we also have Amazon Prime Video and Netflix available with the click of a button. We also enjoy Samsung TV when we just either don't know what to watch or we just want some background noise. I love our Samsung products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a great TV. I stepped up from a cheap Vizio to this 98”. One if the first things I noticed was the response time (turning on/off, navigating, etc). Super fast. The first thing I checked after installation was the blacks - I went to several movies, both 4k and 1080, no more blotchy dark screens! Nice and bright, no problems viewing with all the windows in my room. Great picture and easy setup to my AVR. And it helps that it got it at half the price that it was just a couple months ago (new models coming soon I’d imagine). I stuck with my cheap model Vizio and my nitpicks with it for seven years, and just gave it to my daughter. This one I’ll stick with until dies. I know there’s better out there for around $20k(!), but I’m very satisfied with this purchase at less than 1/5th of that price. I even got free install and $100 off the wall mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the features including Atmos I originally bought an LG 98 inch because I was hooked by the AI abilities it advertised. I soon learned I should have bought the Samsung. I contacted the seller and swapped out for the Samsung. I already have several Samsung sets. Even an 8k 85 inch Samsung. The new set connects to all my appliances, very cool. The picture is fantastic. It looks as good as the 8k. The audio is also amazing because it decodes Atmos! This is the best purchase I have made all year. I buy a new TV about every year or two and I will never buy anything but Samsung from now on

It is why I have a Samsung refrigerator, washer/dryer, dish washer and phone. They all work through my phone and I have never had issues. I will be buying a second TV for my office space in a few months.

Especially after the user interface update.the audio quality is amazing with just the tv speakers on their own but paired with with q90 soundbar and subwoofer with rear speakers on q symphoney is just out of this world.i cant wait to see what samsung has in store for the future.

Can't imagine how great it would be with a sound bar. Think thats in the near future. Always had an issue with too much sunlight is this room, affecting picture quality. Problem solved. Watching TV now at high noon. Sun reflection is nil with this set. This set is 55"..... if i had the room, would have bought a 65".

I enjoy watching several different disciplines of racing and the size and quality makes you feel like you are there: and movies are clear and bright also. I can't say the sound using its own speakers good or not, because I use my Sonos speakers with the Sonos ARC soundbar. I have never spent 4K for a TV, but this was money well spent.

You will need to adjust the picture settings to get a nice image, but after some trial and error I found the perfect settings for the content I view. I am currently using the apps installed on the tv and have not had any issues. If you are looking for a large screen at a value price, I would recommend this tv without hesitation.

As a family we are 95% spending time in our family room. Using this 98 inch 4k tv to watch our sports, news and Disney + has been awesome. Have not been disappointed in the features and just how great everything we watch looks on this tv! Glad to continue to be part of the Samsung family!

It is bright, clear and handles rapid motion without pixelizing. The 4k reception is crystal clear on movies and sports. I can split the screen so my boyfriend can enjoying gaming while I watch tv. Not to forget the game features they know what device is being used and automatically switches you to game mode and nice that you customize those features as well.I also have a Samsung phone so the smart things app is perfect for casting and it's seamless integration with each product including Dex makes anything I want to do possible with this tv.

I chose to get a soundbar which helps a little bit. The TV was easy to set up. The navigation for Samsung's OS is fine and they have plenty of apps for streaming entertainment.

The picture is crystal clear and the screen lighting options are great. We have a sound bar attached to it as the only downside is the speakers on the tv, they're limited in function and don't give the surround sound we desire. All in all i love my purchase and when it's time for another tv, Samsung is our go to!

The reason this score is low is due to the "professional mounting" I had the run around for a whole month every day to everywhere day calling samsung customer service, RXO (their delivery and mounting provider), and even Angi. To schedule mounting, and waiting for approvals from Samsung and or RXO. To it never actually being an option because RXO and Angi can't do bigger tv's. RXO from the start said they do it and after the back and forth for over a month along with Samsung said they don't do it and have never done mountings for tvs that big. So if your in the LA area. Opt out of the mounting and do it yourself. The frustration of all the companies involved is not worth it.

The refund process was horrible, having to deal with samsung and Fed Ex. Nevertheless i order another one. The 2nd tv came and box was fine. However upon turning on the TV, the screen was defective, and so I had to request another return. They scheduled for someone to come pick. I order a 3rd time which is today, and guess what? the screen was also defective, and non useable. This time I asked them to take it back right away. I still currently have the 2nd tv leaning against my couch waiting to be picked up tomorrow. This entire process has been super frustrating. I get a nice discount from Samsung so I've been trying to stay with them, but at this point I'm unsure what to do.

I have spent the last 3 hours being transferred back and fourth trying to get SOMEONE to help. My tv was delivered and installed 5 days ago, it is on the stand and leaning slightly backwards. I asked the installer if that was correct and he said "yeah that's normal". I cannot get anyone at Samsung to help, just transfer and sit on hold forever. I am seriously considering having them give me a full refund and purchasing elsewhere (Best Buy).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible customer service experience I bought the 98 inch Q80C TV on August 16, 2024. It got delivered September 3, 2024. I bought it for my basement that was getting renovated. I had professional people install it today (because it's incredibly heavy) and once I turned it on saw that there was a crack. I immediately called Samsung and they said that it is past the return window which was Sept. 18 (today is Sept. 20). I talked to 10 people for more than 3 hours. I would give each person my name, email, address, order number, my story only for them to transfer to someone else where I would have to give all that information over again and for them to tell me that there is nothing they can do. One person even told me to buy the TV again at a "discount" which was more than I originally paid for. My hunch is the delivery people (which on record I gave them the lowest rating after the survey came to me) as they just tossed the tv in my hallway. I now have a useless TV that I will have to pay out of pocket for repairs to get the screen fixed... and will cost who knows what. I have bought so much stuff from Samsung - TVs, monitors, appliances and this experience has been terrible.

Stunning Picture Quality The colors on this TV really pop, and everything looks super sharp in 4K. It’s great for watching movies or sports, especially in bright rooms where the screen still holds up really well. 2. Great for Gaming I’ve been using it for gaming and it’s awesome — the response time is fast, and it supports 4K at 120Hz which makes everything feel really smooth. Plus, it works with both FreeSync and G-SYNC, which is a huge plus. 3. Tizen Smart Platform is Easy to Use The built-in apps and interface are smooth and easy to navigate. Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a nightmare! I have had an exact experience that others complain of. Waited a month to have my TV delivered and professionally installed by the Samsung people. After they hung it, the TV was defective and had giant lines through it. The installer and I called Samsung immediately. I was told to call back later once it was in their system as delivered to schedule a replacement to be delivered. They left the giant TV there - I assumed a replacement would be sent shortly. I call support the next day once I get confirmation that it is delivered in their system so I can set up a replacement. I am told that my purchase does not qualify for a replacement and that I have to re-order a new TV. So, what they are saying is that they don't want me to be able to get a new TV quickly. The soonest a person can come take this giant 98-inch TV is 2 weeks and if I were to order another TV it would be delivered in 6 weeks! NO THANKS! This TV is not that special. Based on the customer service at Samsung one thing I know is that if anything were to go wrong with the TV it would be an absolute nightmare to get help. Not only will I never buy a TV from them I will not buy any appliance from them, ever.

Naturally, the delivery men took it back with them to the warehouse because I would not accept delivery of a broken TV. Samsung will not reschedule a delivery or help in any way despite the fact that they sent me a $4,000 broken TV. I've had to call and speak to multiple people and waste hours of my time. Their solution is to refund my money in another week and suggest that I go back online and buy the TV again and do everything again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Do not waste your time! Buy from any other provider!

My TV was delivered broken so the delivery men took it back immediately. I never took possession of the TV. Samsung apparently cannot locate the TV from their own delivery service and it has been over 2 weeks now. They are refusing to refund my money or deliver a new TV. They have literally stolen $4,000 from me! I’ve never encountered anything like this in my life. I’ve spoken to countless people and managers and nothing has changed! DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing 98" TV with great features I have been a Samsung fan and buyer for decades now and have practically Samsung everything including TVs. I had been looking at this TV for quite some time and comparing it to TCLs QM8 which is a mini-LED. The quality and picture processing of Samsung can't be beat. Note that I have Samsung OLED S95B as well as a LG OLED G3 which are top of their class in picture quality. I was also looking at the Samsung QN900C 8K at 85" but wanted something bigger. Nowadays, 98" is the new "Normal" - just like foldable phones! I had the opportunity to look at content on the Q80C along with QN900C and the 4K Neo QLED and have to say that with the same content, Q80C was pretty darn close in image quality. It can't match the QN900C or OLEDs but with its Full Array panel, it does quite well with blacks, contrast and colors. Interestingly enough, when I compared the Q80C against the Samsung Neo QLED 4K, the color seemed to pop more on Q80C. It could be that it was oversaturated but to my preference I liked it better. As far as picture settings go I have done the Smart Calibration option which works well enough but I frankly just use the Intelligent Mode and let the TV adjust and learn as it goes. I did the same with my Samsung OLED and picture quality continues to improve with its AI neural engine. I have to say I have seen hardly any blooming whatsoever. There may be very slight blooming but really can't be seen unless you look hard enough. You will see in one of my photos with the star field and stars look great. However, I did notice during using the menu, the LED backlighting was slow to adjust so time will tell how it improves. The menu and layout of the home screen is familiar to me as it is the same on many of my Samsung TVs. It can be a bit clunky in my opinion and really shortcuts are needed to easily navigate to certain settings. The LG layout I feel is much easier to navigate. Overall, navigating the menu is quick but did notice a bit of a lag one time at start-up. The remote seems to get smaller and smaller which is good and bad. Hard to get to the right buttons. Do wish it had backlit capability. But I do like that it is rechargeable and also solar powered which is great. Overall, really happy with the purchase as I have already enjoyed watching shows and movies on the big screen. Who needs to go to the movie theater??? :) It fits really well in my home theater as I have huge space. Even with the 98", I still feel it's small. LOL. I used the Sanus slim mount which allows the TV to be only .6" away from the wall. This TV itself has 1.9" depth but since I fixed mounted it, it looks fantastic...like a large painting.

Sporting events are almost unwatchable. Picture does not show details very well and there is a lot of graininess and motion blur for fast moving action. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately, the system did not include the white glove delivery, so the delivery guys could not set it up. I reached out to the concierge, and she provided me with money back to find someone to install it. The TV is huge and very good for sports events and movies. The ATMOS sound is awesome and comes from everywhere (I added a compatible Q990C Samsung soundbar). Bottom line, I love it!

It also has the ability to accurately adjust the TV ratio (with your phone) to give you the best display and picture for whatever roon your in. The picture quality is sharp and colorful HDR content looks especially stunning. I mostly use it for streaming and gaming, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes games feel super smooth. It also has all the apps I need built-in, and the interface is really easy to use. Sound is decent too, though I use a soundbar for a better experience. Overall, I’m really happy with it and feel it’s a great value for the price.

It is pretty fast when streaming (no buffering or lowering of quality) but I am quite disappointed with 2 things. First, 4GB of storage is just not enough. The RAM is horrendous as well, and just turning the tv on needs at least a minute before I can control it.

There's a map zoom function which takes a part of the side of the TV and dedicates it to zooming in on your video game map. That way you can see it better! It comes with a built-in xbox! You subscribe to the Xbox Live and then you can hook up any wireless controller via Bluetooth to your TV and then play video games with no console! Did I mention the nits? 1,500!! At night, this TV can be blinding! The brightness and contrast and detail are indescribable.

Ive got the setting turned of for the TV remote to turn on the Xbox but it does anyways. Otherwise id give it 5star

In the early mornings, my mother watches the news, weather and a few of her favorite shows. As a senior citizen, her hearing & eyesight has been slowly dwindling, so the color, sharpness, zoom-in features and amplified stereo sound helps her a great deal while watching the T.V. For myself, I bought the Q80C specifically for the purpose of high-quality gaming, cinematic experience and the advanced sound quality of a movie theater. During gaming sessions the Q80C transforms itself during "Game Mode" to elevate your gaming experience. The 4K visuals, HDR, refresh rate and crisp motion movement (JUST A FEW OF Q80C's GAMING OPTIONS) will have the gamer forgetting to blink... The TV is set up in my living room and even during the day with direct sunlight the bright QLED display is visible, and at night the colors really pop. Also the software features and ability to adjust the TV are unmatched by anything at the same price point

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall perfomance The TV performs excellent, the sound and the readiness to add sound bar, surround system and even to integrate existing streaming accounts and other devices in your home. The thing I noticed needs improvement the most, is when the TV is on and runs all black, you can see leds in the frame that re not as black as should be, the second thing is that as phones, it might need to update faster, since many apps update and the TV lingers to open the updated versions of those apps, or maybe for the TV to "re-start" itself when turned off to account for those updates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When it works, it's amazing Since my purchase, I was amazed at the quality of the screen. However, many times, the screen slowly goes dark. I've had the screen and the system board replaced and the problem keeps coming back. I'm very technical and know how to troubleshoot. I updated the firmware, reset settings, etc and after a few weeks the screen goes dark on one side. The only resolution has been shutting up the system entirely for 10 or more minutes.

I dont know if it's the screen size or the screen technology but the movies like beautiful. Awesome tv ??.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding picture First of all out of the box setup and connecting all my devices with or without cable is a breeze. The picture on my Samsung QLED is 2nd to none. It is amazing!! Ive had several compliments on the quality of the picture and again it really is amazing. I use my Samsung QLED for streaming movies playing my PlayStation and even web searches. Game mode feature is fantastic when playing PS4 and PS5. Movie makes mode is another wonderful feature as both game and movie modes change automatically. Did I say the picture is outstanding? It's outstanding!! I can easily connect my Samsung Galaxy phone while sitting on the couch or if I'm walking by my Samsung QLED I can literally just gently tap the side of the TV with my phone and it connects. My Samsung QLED also works with Alexa. Oh did I say the picture on the Samsung QLED tv is amazing ? It's really amazing!! It's by far the best and best quality picture on a tv I've ever had. I changed I've a total of 4 TV's to the Samsung QLED because it's that great. A total of 6 of my friends swapped over to the Samsung QLED after watching both sports and movies. Refresh rate is excellent with fast paced sports and games. As you probably can tell by my review I " love " the Samsung QLED tv. I've had ZERO problems since turning this TV on. Not one single issue. Did I say the picture is outstanding!! Well it is!

There is no better way to experience a sporting event than to enjoy the clear motion smoothing effect of this 80" front row seat: no traveling, parking, or expensive food. Tailgating happens at home, as every friend I have requests a comfortable seat (they are all good seats, but around 10 feet away from the screen are the best seats). A Samsung audio system with surround sound is immersive. You can see the spiral of the ball! In addition, streaming movies exceeds the best theatre venues. Suppose you want to enjoy your time with friends and family in the comfort of your home. This investment pays for itself!

When it was received there was a darkspot on the screen and the TV required replacement. I had to remove the TV from the wall and hand the new TV when it showed up which is not what I paid for. Even after contacting Samsung they did not make good on the guaranteed services I paid for. But after I installed the TV it works as it should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had my Qled 82 in for a while now, I love it Out of all my TV's, my Samsung are the best when it comes to utilization, by that I mean searching the internet, adding apps, switching between connections and picture quality. Ease of use is also great, the menu and mode selection are at the touch of your fingers and easily accessed. And I can link all my samsung products which makes it easier to cast from each other. I prefer samsung products especially TVs and phones over anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still a great TV even after a couple of years! I have been a Samsung fan and buyer for decades now and have practically Samsung everything including TVs. I had been looking at this TV for quite some time and comparing it to other brand mini-LED TVs. The quality and picture processing of Samsung can't be beat. Note that I have OLED TVs which are top of their class in picture quality. I had the opportunity to look at content on the Q80C along with a higher end Samsung 4K Neo QLED and with the same content, Q80C was quite on par with image quality. It can't match the QN900C or OLEDs but with its Full Array panel, it does quite well with blacks, contrast and colors. Interestingly enough, when I compared the Q80C against the Samsung Neo QLED 4K, the color seemed to pop more on Q80C. I barely notice any blooming and love that the TV is slim and looks great on the wall when mounted flush against the wall. The AI feature is okay but I prefer the Standard picture setting which does really well in almost all content. The solar powered remote is nice but do wish it was backlit. The on screen menu has been updated so it is better than before and settings are easier to get to.

If I had to nitpick anything and had to come up with a negitive the only thing I would say is maybe the processor could be a little bit faster or snapier. But its not bad by any stretch im just impatient possibly.
