Great sound
I own the soundbar and the Samsung TV. I am amazed at the sound quality for both the TV and music via bluetooth. I love that there is no delay between the picture and the sound. I own a Bose MusicWave radio and this soundbar actually sounds better than my Bose.

Well, that was a surprise...
We replaced our very old Samsung TV with a new 65" QN800C Neo QLED TV.
I fell for salesman's upsell and spouse's nod and also purchased the Q800C Soundbar.
I didn't think we needed a Soundbar as the old Samsung TV, though small, had good audio, especially with its room placement: the wall and bookcases helped provide reflected sound that spanned the room in front of the seating positions. Pretty Decent.
I thought the larger new TV would have more speakers, more power, and better sound than before. I was not wrong, but...
I did not know what I didn't know.
First, the sound bar provides balanced natural sound, giving middle and lower frequencies that a TV alone doesn't do as well or cannot do at all.
Second, coming from a much smaller TV, I really noticed the limits of even good TV speakers alone. Bigger TVs need more speakers to complete the audio/visual experience. When visual images on the screen are large and you feel much closer to the scenes, you need more audio information to help you feel that closeness.
You want more sound, but not small sound cranked up louder, you want more speakers making more audio information.
I hope that made sense.
Large images with cranked up standard (TV) sound are not quite the same.
I did not expect that.
Thirdly, I never watch concert videos, or other grand scale events that have big sound. My wife watched the Taylor Swift concert and I learned what soundbars can do: put you in the space with the crowd and the performer. Wow.

Beautiful and engulfing sound
We have this soundboard set up in our great room with high ceilings, large open room and many angled walls along the periphery.
The soundboard provides amazing surround sounds during movies. Sounds from all directions which is amazing from just 1 single piece of equipment. Bass is perfect, adds to the dramatic effect without being over powering. Clear crisp specific sounds during concerts and sporting events. Exactly what we were hoping for all while looking stylish and sleek.
Easy to install. Took about 2 minutes to set up and immediately start working with our Samsung TV. Also can easily connect with phones for amazing surround sounds over Bluetooth.

Upgrading to this sound bar is a game changer. It's also like adding a Patrick mahomes to your fantasy football team. It really does make your living room that much better. You really can hear the difference when using this elegant looking sounds with dolby Atmos content. Whereas most content on your average no atmos soundbar may still be good granted....... This will make you feel apart of the action and alive.... Almost as if Patrick mahomes is calling the plays right in your own living room.

Integrated sound bar
Bought a samsung tv oled and wanted a sound bar after research and budgetting settled on the q800c it is good.
I am not sure if I am underusing it though because when used as a sound bar alone I do not feel I am getting the best bass value out of it.
That being said fir ordinaru listening it is good ckear vocals and treble and midrange is very good
I recommend it highly only wish I knew exactly where to place the bar and sub woofer with my samsung oled TV.

Easy to setup, the subwoofer goes offline
Using the soundbar with the TV, it was easy to setup to use both the TV and soundbar sound, however, the subwoofer often goes offline qnd it is not easy to get it online. The soundbar also lacks tools to test and verify the functions.

Easy setup and pairs great with a Q series TV
This sound bar is great in a medium sized room. The Atmos works great and pairs easily with a Q series TV which allows for consolidation of remotes. The built-in wifi and Bluetooth allows for easy pairing of other music devices.
The subwoofer is also pretty powerful and yet can easily be hidden.

Ehh for the price, shouldn’t be issues.
We bought this expensive set up because the model number below was so terrible compared to this one. However, we are experiencing problems. The subwoofer keeps cutting in and out ruining watching movies and other tv shows. It’s connected to a Samsung tv using Bluetooth.

Generally speaking this 'Sound System' is used in my life for either music (a wide variety. Ex: Lorna Shore, Morgan Wallen, MGK, Jake Hill, and anything in between,) along with streaming different types of video media for either the kids or the two adults. General streaming quality is not what I would put at spectacular but it's not awful either. Music is both great and just plain dull, depending on both the genre and the song by that band.
The design itself is cool enough looking, but it's nothing we have not seen before. It's plain to say the least.
I would give it a 4/5 simply because the rest of the household enjoys it, but they are not as picky as I am. Personally I'd give it a 3.4-3.6 if possible. Not awful. Just kinda plain.

A real upgrade for a good price.
I've been looking to upgrade from my 2.1 system to something more because voices were so hard to hear without a center channel.
This did just that and way more. Its super clear, super custom, and it's fantastic with music. I'm hearing things I've never heard before in my favorite songs.
Its pretty big so be aware of your space.

Best value for money as a atmos enabled sound bar.
I have a huge eco system of samsung and ended up with this sound bar when I saw it on sale. For the price this was the only system as a whole with sub woofer and rear speakers. No matter what they say about virtual surround you won't get until there are rear speakers, so whichever brand you are buying make sure to buy rear speakers and seperate sub for the best experience. For what it is the q800 series as a package was the best sounding speaker system and not very far from 900 series from a year before. Samsung has come a long way in sound system and worth considering for the price over bose or sonos. You may get a 5 % improvement for double the cost if you go with any other brand.

I changed the sound bar in my living room to Samsung HW-Q800C. The sense of presence was incredible. From the gently flowing sound of orchestral instruments at the beginning to the delicate and powerful sound of the main melody, it touches your heart. When you actually listen to it in the field (living room or mainroom), the strength and weakness of the sound and the sense of space are vivid, so you can feel a strong sense of immersion. Usually, there is no hesitation in purchasing larger and larger TVs and TVs with vivid picture quality that makes you feel like it's right in front of your eyes, but In order to dramatically upgrade the quality of content viewing, you need to invest in sound that fills the space, touches your skin directly, and transmits vibrations to your heart.

When it is right, this soundbar is pretty awesome. Problem is; it is only working correctly about 55-60% of the time. Voices pop in and out from sounding correct to sounding like they are coming from the bottom of a coffee can. This happens both on streaming apps (YouTube TV in particular) and watching blu ray and 4k DVDs. We've gotten to the point we just turn it off and use the TV speakers, which defeats the purpose of buying this fairly expensive soundbar. Have tried 2 different 2.1 HDMI cables, resetting the wifi, resetting the soundbar, pulling my hair out--none of which works. Very disappointed in this purchase!

Absolutely blown away by how good this soundbar sounds. Bought it to pair with a Samsung Neo g9 and it makes gaming such a joy. I rarely ever go above 15 percent volume but when I really let the speakers loose it can shake the whole house without distorting. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a really nice upgrade

At first, I was not sure what to expect with a Samsung surround sound but after these last eight months of great clarity and deep bass, I'll find it very difficult to select any other brand for entertainment enhancement. I give it a five star rating because it has never given me any issues and talks well with my TV which is also a Samsung. This surround sound system comes with its own remote to configure the settings. If you are using a Samsung TV as well, your TV remote will most likely control the surround sound as it does mine. It takes about ten seconds for your TV remote to be recognized but after that, it is so convenient. You will not be disappointed in this product. I highly recommend it to anyone regardless of their TV brand or loyalty to other surround system brands.

Great speaker and set up was easy. Integrates with the Samsung OLED very well. Good setting management. Only thing I wish it had is Google with it. Looks like it has Amazon so I think Google should come with it too but I understand it probably cost them too much. There is Google with the TV so I guess that counts to make it Google assistant compatible? Either way... Great speaker, sounds good with awesome Dolby Atmos sound, almost has a full surround sound vibe. Subwoofer is on point as well.

Great value and/or performance for a small space
Bought this about a month ago as a replacement for a Q900 bar that got damaged in shipping, still worked so I can make a brief comparison between the two.
The Q800c is physically much smaller than the 900/990c and that can be good or bad. Bad in the sense that it can't match the volume or clarity and extra drivers that the 900/990c have but good as it can make more sense in a smaller space where the 900 would be overkill.
Still have not tested it with the rears but on it own the bar is good for music, great for movies and while the Atmos performance is limited, it is definitely present.

I use my sound device mostly for TV viewing. But also, a significant time, to watch music in YouTube. It sound great and it does not distort even at 100% volume.

The sound on the soundbar and subwoofer are great
Love this system since I am a movie lover, the sound that the soundbar and subwoofer is clear and nice bass. The only lows is that the sound stays at a level where you have to go to volume 27 just to have a clear sound with voice.

Sound is amazing. I don’t my previous Boss system.
I'm using a Bose home theater, and this time I've added the device to the
First of all, I was satisfied with my previous device, but it had too many wires, which made it difficult to organize and not very aesthetically pleasing. However, this Samsung home theater is wireless, so it was convenient to install, and I liked it a lot because I only needed to connect the power cord.
The sound was amazing, and it was so natural that it made me think that I was actually listening to it. However, when I turned off the home theater, the sound was so disparate from the sound coming from the TV's own speakers that I was forced to listen to it only through the home theater. I also like the fact that it turns on and off automatically when the TV is turned on.
At one point, I even looked out the window because I thought the horn in the movie was coming from the neighborhood.

Product is good value
Better than average around quality and decent value at the time. Only issues are that the center speaker can be quieter than expected and voices can be hard to hear. The voice enhancer does fix this, but some higher frequencies can end up too loud. Connection when playing over wifi can be inconsistent and does not have room calibration.

Forget Sonos
We have a large walkthrough living room, and the TV always sounds a little flat. After searching for awhile I decided on an Atmos sound bar in the hopes of getting more room filling audio. I looked at a lot of different brands, but what I found on review sites we the newest Samsung bars were some of the best at all affordable price. So s couple of months ago we upgraded to the q800c and couldn't be happier. Some of our favorite things about it are: the q-symophony functionality, and the voice enhancement. Or TV audio is now crisp, words are clearer, and we're no longer adjusting volume every time it goes from action to dialog.

Engulfing Sound
My 85” Neo QNED has the best sound I’ve ever heard on a stand alone TV. Paired with my 5.1 ch Q Symphony soundbar, it’s nothing less but awesome. I feel like I’m being engulfed by the beautiful picture, paired with a theatric sound system. It’s the best wireless system I’ve heard. Well done, Samsung.

My wife and I watch alot of TV and movies. This sound bar is a great upgrade from our previous Samsung sound bar and the sound is amazing! We can now control our volume with our QN85 TV remote.

Perfect combination for a true cinema experience. The small soundbar delivers outstanding, immersive and cristal sound. I'm using this in combination with a Samsung The Frame and the plug and play it was very easy to setup.

Awesome sound but settings and remote lacking
So I do love the way it sounds so far but most the reason I got this was for the Atmos.. cone to find out it's only available with Samsung tvs! I have an LG boo.. and only available through the wifi or hdmi arc which I can't get to work. And I know there are more features but dunno how to access them and the quick setup only said so much... the remote doesn't have all the buttons so u have to hold certain ones down to access them? And thats if they available? I thought I would be able to control and hear the upfiring speakers/sound better? Also can't get the wifi to connect? Supposed to use my galaxy phone to setup but doesn't show up anywhere ? And my phone only couple years old note20 ultra... so overall with the issues and still trying to setup but amazing sound... meh.. bummed bout the atmos or any sound effect besides surround not working...

Great Product if you are looking for amazing sound
I bought this sound system because I needed one in my bedroom. My bedroom has a non-Samsung TV and the sound is not good on it. This soundbar sounds amazing and really makes content sound great. The bass rumbles the room and makes it feel like a true theater in a bedroom. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good-sounding sound system that won't break the bank.

Hearing the difference
I used to have a cheap Vizio sound bar i got off eBay. Upgrading to this one was night and day. Sounds is loud and bass is booming with music, I haven’t even gotten close to max power yet. With tv and movie it’s definitely more balanced with action movies having that extra punch but still able to deliver dialogues with clarity. Very happy with this bar. The only bug I noticed was that with space fit turned on the bar would randomly turn the volume down. Didn’t notice much difference so it’s kept off now.

I am currently using this is a large living room with tall ceilings. This system sounds amazing! The rears are a little quiet but you are able to balance the sound pretty well if you take the time. I haven't found a movie I couldn't enjoy and atmos sounds perfect for a soundbar.

I bought the Q800c after I bought a s90c TV. they compliment each other very well. I like how the TV works in sync with the soundbar. I was going to buy the rear speaker but I'm glad I didn't. It's really not needed.

Works well when paired to my Q series TV
The sound on this unit is great, a bit light on punch though. My only complaint would be that it seems to unpair from the TV on ocassion, however I am unsure if it is the Soundbar, the TV, or the HDMI cable that makes that happen. When it is working correctly (99.9% of the time) it sounds better than my old Sonos Arc. Definitely fills the soundstage.

The surround sound and Dolby Atmos are insane!
I have had several different soundbars in the past and nothing has compared to the Q800C. The surround sound and Dolby atmos fills the room and feels like the sound is all around you. I use this with a TV with Q-Symphony and the sound is even better! I was blown away when I first heard this sound bar. It's crystal clear with a dedicated front speaker to be able to hear people speak in whatever you may be watching. The bass is booming if you decide to turn it up (you can literally feel the bass). I highly recommend this product, I didn't know I needed this soundbar until I heard it.

I use my soundboard for watching TV and gaming and I love it. It has pretty good bass, very loud even on lower settings. Very detailed audio as well. Setting it up took about 5 min or so. Several different audio mode so you can choose which option best suits your listening needs.

Very good Soundbar that changed my perception
I am not in favor of Soundbars until I experienced the Samsung Q800 with S9500 ATMOS satellites. I have a complete 9.1.2 AV system in media room and wanted a simpler setup for the game room and Q800 has very much met my requirements.
The sound quality is very good, the features such as expanding to satellites, controlling audio and levels through Smartthings works fine. Enough input options, including Alexa is a plus.
Overall I like the Samsung Q800 and would recommend.

I ordered the Q800c online and store pickup option. Picked up the next day. The salesperson in the chat pointed out that I qualified for an additional 10% off. Very nice surprise. It was the last one on the shelf. The store sales person didn’t have the ordered pulled off the shelf , luckily no one came and purchased it from under me. The bar was easy to install and subwoofer synced right up. The sound is amazing! Rattles my windows and the clarity is just what I need. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to watch a movie without surround sound again.!! I’m not a bot or a paid reviewer I’m just a guy from southeast Louisiana that loves movies and football.

Great sound. Love the fact it uses the TV volume and sound bar volume simultaneously. Plug and play satellite surround speakers are great. My only issue is that the connection between the TV and sound bar doesn't stay every time I turn on and off my Samsung 2022 TV. I have to go through settings to connect it 3-4 times a week.

The speaker sounds great however be very specific when buying rear speakers. This sound bar will only work with the 9500S rear speakers. I bought the sound bar and TV from Best Buy and they didn't know that the only rear speakers that will work with this sound bar is the 9500S speaker's.

Brings the punch and clarity!
Upgraded from my stereo HomePod mini set to this and its been night and day quality. Way more punch, clarity and movie theatre like surround sound. I do have a very slight problem with Qsymphony overlapping from time to time but corrects itself in a matter of seconds. Overall no real issues and completely satisfied to be getting high-end sound quality.

Shocking how good this system sounds
Replaced my old soundbar with this system after upgrading the Samsung OLED TV. The way it synced the TV speakers and the soundbar is really cool. The subwoofer is also very punchy, even at its lowest setting. Definitely happy watching movies and music on this thing. Totally recommend ??

Great Quality, Irritating Design Decisions
This is my third Samsung soundbar, and the best one I've purchased. The quality of the sound is phenomenal in just about every regard. However, I'm knocking off one star because I did find myself a little frustrated with the make-up of the bar itself.
I bought the Q800C alongside my 55" Samsung S95C. I had the expectation, given the amount of coverage I've watched, let alone the marketing photos, that the soundbar was meant to fit nicely on top of the stand, sandwiched underneath the television screen. The user manual even illustrates as much. This isn't the case. The bottom panel of the S95C stand is not wholly flat when assembled, and the rubber feet on the soundbar cannot make contact with the structure below when rested on top of that panel. So, trying that results in the soundbar being poorly supported and at laying at an off-angle. It doesn't work.
That in and of itself isn't a huge deal, however, what feels like another small but agitating oversight is the placement of ports on the bar. This soundbar targets the more premium television models, most of which come with the One Connect Box. When that box is rested on the back of the S95C stand, its ports are facing left when you're positioned toward the screen. On the other hand, the HDMI eARC port on the soundbar, relative to that same placement, is on the right side of the bar. It's weird that they are placed in opposite directions, but that's largely insignificant should I have not now had to move my soundbar further away from my TV to the shelf below. The included HDMI cord no longer reaches, so I have to buy a different one solely to solve a problem that I was led to believe wouldn't be an issue in the first place.
But, the sound quality is still superb.

I bought the sound bar online with a pickup in store option. The sales rep was very helpful finding the exact system I wanted. I ended up with the 5.2.1 system. It has so far exceeded my expectations. I have a JBL sound bar as well and hands down my Samsung is a far better sounding system.

The sound quality in my Samsung soundbar is amazing and I am so spoiled to the point that I no longer enjoy listening to audio on my Bose headphones or in my 22 speaker Bose audio system in my car. It's just not the same as the Samsung soundbars. The bass is sublime and the audio is crystal clear for both music and movies. We have a mostly closed Living room and The Dolby Atmos effects are also amazing! Love these speakers.

This sound bar is absolutely awesome. In a large open room it provides amazing surround sound. So good it makes you look around to see where the sound is coming from. Deep bass and superb mids and highs. Just the best. So happy with this sound bar

Great clarity, powerful sound
I use it for movies, tv shows, listening to music, and it's got a mode for every situation. Works seamlessly with the tv to add to the sound.

Great Performance
The soundbar looks great. I am really glad to have it in my room. The installation is easy. The sound quality is great also but I am not sure about the loudness I need to do some settings for the best outcome. But so far I am happy with my purchase.
