Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound! I've needed a better sound bar for a while. Have a large, unfinished basement, and my previous sound bar just didn't sound good in that space. I've been looking at this one for a while, and the stars aligned! It was on sale, and I had quite a bit of points saved up. I hooked it up the old fashioned way, HDMI e-arc, and the room came to life! No more having to crank the sound bar just to hear people talk. I have the sound significantly lower than I did before and I can hear everything perfectly. Very happy with my purchase, and hope to replace another sound bar in the future, as long as the price is right

For some reason the soundbar doesn't have a volume indicator which is such a massive oversight for something as expensive as this product. There are lights showing the volume going up or down, but they don't give you an idea of how loud the soundbar is before audio starts playing. No bar showing a level, no numbers, no nothing, just lights as you adjust the volume showing the direction the volume is going. I know it seems like a small thing. I thought it was too, until I didn't have it.

It fills the living room with sound. Even at low volume, the bass and treble is very punchy and powerful. The S-series soundbar with Q Symphony is such a game changer.

The sound exceeds my expectations no matter what I'm listening to. The TV that I bought is also a Samsung smart TV and this soundbar pairs very well with it No matter what I listen to, whether it be a concert, music station from an app, regular antenna TV, or a movie, the sound fits each application very well. The instructions were not quite intuitive. But once done, I love it. It makes watching tv and movies a better experience. Like being in the movie theater. I no longer need to listen intensely to the dialog in the movies or news. It's all clear now. I like to change the connection sometimes, either via Wi-Fi or Arc/HMDI, which I like them both the best. I would strongly recommend the product, especially for condo/apartment dwellers. It has enough oomph without disturbing the neighbors on the other side of the wall.

Tried installing directly below TV (within 1”) and found we had an echo when using Q Symphony feature. Sounds great now. Customer support was not helpful when troubleshooting this issue. Each time I reached out for support I was inadvertently directed to new sales support.

However, it does not provide the depth of sound a more sophisticated setup would, nor does it offer the sense of surround sound. However, given the price point, it is certainly satisfactory. The design is excellent. It is attractive, discreet, and easy to install. It is also operationally transparent with the system, requiring no additional adjustment.

It has equalizer settings but not intuitive using the actual soundbar settings.. The equalizer settings are better in the SmartThings app. The main reason I chose this soundbar was to be able to have addition sounds with our new Samsung TV.

It shows up connected to Bluetooth and wifi, and even got it paired as q-symphony, but it holds that connection for a few minutes, hours or even days, then drops the wifi connection. It was pretty easy to connect and then use the q-symphony setting to sync with the tv. The dialog on the shows we watch is much more clear with this soundbar! It has only been a few days, but I am hopeful we will not have to use captioning any longer to be able to follow the dialog. I am very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Bought two Samsung Frames and assumed getting Samsung soundbars would improve compatibility but boy was I wrong. These things are constantly requiring hard resets, one won’t connect via WiFi so the Q-Symphony feature is useless, and Samsung’s tech support is utterly clueless beyond asking you to perform the same resets for an hour. I’ll never buy a Samsung audio product again; hopefully this review can save one person from having to deal with it.

If you have issues with your sound bar not working with the TV q symphony you need to click gear icon and sync through sound bar with the TV. I called in trying to get this to work talked to two techs who couldn't figure it out and the tech who came to my house said q symphony was working which it wasn't. I only found out how to fix it by reading a bad review and what that tech support said to fix it.

It doesn't need a subwoofer, as the bass that comes from the soundbar itself is quite deep and clear. With the subwoofer, you are able to hear more mids and highs from the soundbar itself and it's very clear. Throw in the rear speakers and you now have a full 7.1 surround setup that you added to gradually. Highly recommend this soundbar.

I was using a LG one with a bass but it broke and I was looking for a good replacement and I thought bose was it but nope, then I was like, I love Samsungs handheld tech let me try the soundbar. And sure enough it was impressive sound. Sounds wonderful for music and tv and really good for music. This sound bar was so good I upgraded my TV from a LG to Samsung s60d 32inch model and the Q symphony feature is awesome! I definitely recommend. Especially in small rooms. It supports google home and alexa

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung HW-S60D Soundbar We purchased this soundbar to match with our Samsung 45" bedroom tv. Both are hung on our bedroom wall. We love the sound that the S60D produces, it's way over & above versus just the TV speaker. This soundbar also has many other integrated uses & connection means that adds value such as Spotify & Apple integration for music, Wi-Fi for connection, blue tooth for direct connection to cell, & Samsung Smartthings & Google home integrations for remote control and casting. However, again, the sound is perfect for a small area such as our bedroom. We can also expand with blue tooth surround speakers if wanted, although not needed, it's nice to know we can add that option. Great sound, easy installation, great price, and multiple integrations & connections make the S60D an overall excellent purchase.

The sound quality is incredible, and the features are top-notch. When paired with our Samsung TV, we get the best of both worlds - TV speakers and a soundbar that creates an immersive sound experience. Can get pretty loud for it's small size. Q-symphony feature does not work, plenty of evidence here in other reviews and online. I walked through all of the suggested set-up and troubloeshooting steps, and verified that everything else works but the TV speakers and the sound bar at the same time. I wanted this feature but in the end the eARC was more important.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Soundbar Bought the Samsung HW-S60D/ZA four months ago after comparing it to the Bose Soundbar 600 and Sonos Beam Gen 2. All three soundbars produce very similar sound (the Bose does have upfiring speakers) but the Samsung was on sale for $200 less than the sale price of the Bose and Sonos. So I went with price on the Samsung and have no regrets. The sound is great and has plenty of bass for me. One issue I had was a yellow light on the front of the soundbar and I could not find any information on what it meant. I do have Alexa enable on the soundbar and somehow by accident discovered that the yellow light means that I had a notice from Amazon. If I ask Alexa what's my notificatio, she reads it and then the yellow light goes out. It would have been nice if Samsumg included that info in the manual, if they did I could not find it.

The 5 channels shine throughand provide a really nice listening experience. The seperate channels help seperate different frequencies which creates an emersive feel especially when watching movies and shows as well as while gaming. You really feel that you are hearing content as it was designed. This paired with our 65 inch TV has really transformed our living room into a movie theater! We have tried other sound bars on both ends of the price range and we have not been as happy as we are with this S-series sound bar. Other systems left us messing around with settings just to get a mediocre sound. The others we tried we had difficulty getting a clean sound where we could hear clear dialogie while still enjoying ambiance and action scenes that arent way too loud. Not woth the S-series! We absolutely recommend the s-series for just about every use case we can imagine!

My hearing isn’t the best and wanted something to project more sound, particularly dialogue, more directly towards me without taking up a lot space. I don’t have room for a subwoofer box so this fit the bill perfectly. It works well with my tv with the Q symphony feature. The sound is great.

I also have used it for entertainment when I have guests over, plays music So well, it's crisp and just perfection. Never had an issue with it, and once it decides to finally toss in the towel, welp, I'll just purchase a newer version of it to replace it. Absolutely love this!! 10/10 would buy again.

I plugged this sound bar in, plugged it into my LG TV using provided HDMI cable and my TV immediately connected, pressed 1 button on the remote to change the audio mode, and have amazing sound. I imagine it would be even easier, with better sound, if my TV was Samsung. Worth the money. 10/10 recommend.

This is one of the most loud, clear sounding devises I have ever owned. I have it in conjunction to the speakers and when I play a movie with them, it sounds like they are in the room with you.. After a lot of inquiries I made the final choice to go with this compact sound bar, and it really gave me the best sound i want in my living room. Specifically it has a little tiny footprint but the sub bass is really majestic for its little size.I connected it to my cd , and i can adjust the volume with the tv remote and the samsung. And i also set up the SmartThings for full control of UI and graphic EQ control.so i highly recommended it to others the sound is on another dimension.

It's versatile in that it can be used dedicated as a TV sound bar but also seamless connection through Bluetooth. The sound is great and I'm able to understand dialogue being said a lot more without subtitles on all the time. Only thing is the bass is a little underwhelming at times although I understand why that is. If I had to purchase again I would save a little more and get Samsungs next tier that has a dedicated subwoofer for that extra rumble expected at times.

The setup/configuration on speaker system is very easy when you are using it with Samsung SmartThings App. I've connected the soundbar through Wifi and working perfectly without any lag with visuals. Lots of sound and speaker configuration features are available in TV directly, so we don't need to use the sound bar remote often. Speaker sounds good with front left, right and center channel. Rear channels (virtual) are not good enough but it's enough for filling a small room. Sound bar has Chromecast built-in features so most of the streaming applications will work with Android phones. Some of the 5.1 channel or Atmos contents not sounds good while using Netflix and Disney+. If I add subwoofer may that can be fixed but bass effects is totally missing for some shows and movies. Overall, the sound bar works well with Samsung Q Symphony technology and providing room filling(12x15) sound with good Atmos effect.

Otherwise there is no way to connect it to anything else other than Bluetooth with which the sound of my laptop speakers is as good. Samsung as usually doesn't give a cr..p about its customers and didn't even bother to add aux and or wifi drivers RETURNED! OH AND THEY CHARGE RESTOCKING FEES TOO!

The sound was crip and clear at low and high volumes, and when we got to mounting it, was pretty easy. Lack of actual hardware to mount to the tv or was was not provided though, I think some simple mounting hardware would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a good choice look at a different soundbar I purchased this soundbar based on the reviews. But have been very disappointed with it and wish I hadn't purchased it. I tried to return but it had been 3 weeks since it was delivered. There is very little sound difference in using it in Q- Symphony and using the TV speakers alone. You hear no base and only rarely hear or get anything that resembles a surround sound effect. You have to put the volume very loud to here it. I also frequently get an echo with speaking of actors on TV. I replaced a cheaper 3.0 soundbar with this one and I got better performance out of my old one. I ended up using my old sound bar and have put this one in the closet. I have always bought and used Samsung products and been completely happy with them until now and this experience has made me question if I will ever buy another Samsung product. I purchased a 65 in OLED tv at the same time as the soundbar and was told the TV and soundbar would work great together and produce a great sound. Not the case. I caution anyone who is considering this soundbar to pass this one and look for a different soundbar.

With clear and crisp sound I enjoy streaming movies and music. I enjoy rich depth and crystal clear audio weather it is dialogue between characters or the background noises in action scenes. After a long hard day at work I look forward to relaxing and listening to the impressive audio that comes from this sound bar. I highly recommend this product for all of those reasons not to mention, it's wireless & that is super convenient my entertainment display. It's also sleek and fits well and one of the little spots on my entertainment center so it was an absolute perfect choice.

I'm impressed with the sound quality, it definitely exceeded my expectations. It gets loud and still sounds great. Just waiting on the sub to arrive to complete my setup. Samsung has always delivered high-quality products and this is no exception.

I have it set up so its behind me, its better than the 7.1 system I have in another room. It does lack in bass a little bit though, though that is why you can get the sub to go along with it.

As of now, my TV sits on my tall dresser, so the sleek speaker lays perfectly below the screen and almost blends into the TV. I do not game, but use this TV a lot and am across the room from it. The enhanced sound is impressive and better than I expected. It's a great product and value!

I’m a brand loyal kinda guy so I instantly went straight to Samsungs site and picked out the soundbar. Piece of cake to set up and the sound is phenomenal. Totally recommend. On its own or with a Samsung TV. Now my gameplay sounds great and movies play like I’m in the theater watching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact design sounds great I like the fact that it sets up well with a Samsung television via Q Symphony although Alexa doesn't seem to play through the speaker. It does if you're in just Soundbar mode. I like the compactness and low profile it sits underneath the television and doesn't interfere with the screen. I'm a little older now and hearing is not as good. It's definitely an improvement. I have a fantastic surround sound system but it's so much easier just to use the Soundbar for daily use.

Just as soon as I connected it and powered it on, it setup and connected and sounds great! The voices are easy to hear and the projection is Excellent, we are glad we went with this model, as a bonus it comes with the brackets for wall mounting, which we are moving soon and will be perfect for our new home! I think if you want a simple and cost effective soundbar then this is the one for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality compact Soundbar with q Symphony High quality compact Soundbar with many features that sync up with newer Samsung TVs with Q Symphony capabilities. The Soundbar has good sound especially with compatible Samsung TVs. However it does lack bass so buying the subwoofer that is compatible with this Soundbar is highly recommended. I didn't buy the subwoofer because it is to expensive IMO at $299 which would make this system $549 at current prices. $250 for the Soundbar and $ 299 for the subwoofer and I believe there are better systems out there for less money that would sound better than this system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great soundbar I have a Sony 75 inch tv and I wanted a soundbar to add depth, not so much for loudness. Condo, neighbors, you get my drift. With this sound bar I get to enjoy the Q-symphony experience. It’s perfect. I don’t need the loud thumping sound. It’s nice to know I can add a subwoofer if I want for more bass but for now the system as is does a great job! I’m very happy that I chose Sony for both the tv and the soundbar.

It was easy to setup and connect to all of our devices through smart things. A little over a year of use, I noticed that when watching and playing games that the sound quality had diminished. That was because the audio was only coming from my TV and not the sound bar. It had stopped working completely. Wouldn't even turn on anymore. I contacted Samsung Support and they informed me that it was outside of the warranty window. Now it just sits there like a hunk if junk after a year of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The missing piece for our living room. After getting a 75" Samsung DU6950 4K television set, there was one thing missing. The sound on the TV was good but not great. Enter the Series S soundbar with Q Symphony. After I purchasing and hooking up this soundbar, this gave us the audio punch and impact that I was looking for. It sounds so good, it fills the living room, dining room, kitchen, and the pantry with sound. At high volumes, I can hear it down the hall to our bedrooms. The combination of the DU6950 4K & the soundbar have transformed our living room into a mini movie theater. We have thoroughly enjoyed the superb sound and incredible 4K visuals. We can hear things in the soundtrack that we never heard before. It also works great with our Tidal music subscriptions for incredible audio playback as well. We are very satisfied at the new Samsung TV and our Q-Symphony soundbar. The transformation of our living room from an old 13 year old Samsung TV with no soundbar to the incredible setup we have now is night and day.

Some time we desired to listen the same music on the three at a time and, please let us know y you create a comment device to integrate this model to listening as one.! For now on, it’s excellent product and we enjoy the bass’s performance!

My other Samsung Soundbar has a readout for mode and sound lever. This has an audio prompt when changing modes. The volume has lights that flash that tells you that it’s going up or down. Big deal! Bring back the visual que.

I use it for watching games, TV movies, during hosting party I even flaunt the tap to connect device feature. I love the feature of multiple device connectivity using wifi, Bluetooth and av/dv which gives a tap to change IRL. AWESOME, SMOOTHH...... All in all I think it has been great buy I want to switch to s25 ultra and want to explore what else does this speaker has to offer. I also have watch 6 classic and the fact that I am able to operate this sound bar through my watch is just creamy. Lastly the connectivity, hassle free and wireless is the gem of this product. I can move it easily across the rooms to get my Dolby surround sound experience without hassle of handling big woofers is best. Also to mention the sleek and modern minimalist design helps to blend in any space the attached photo is the proof.
