Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound BarGreat sound bar works well. The only thing would make it better is if the cable was included to power the tv as well instead of having to purchase a separate mount that doesn't work with my television.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not much better than TV speakersWish I'd paid closer attention to the reviews. As with others, I have found the soundbar to be of no help. It sounds cheap and there is no bass, even after adjusting and changing to "surround" as suggested. I have ordered rear speakers to see if it helps, if not, this unit is going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful for having 9 speakers...I bought this along a Samsung Q8 series QLED TV. I'm not sure if I received a bad unit but it keeps losing the settings and no matter what I do it just sounds very flat. Almost no bass perception at all. In contrast, I got the cheapest Bose Solo 5 that only has two speakers and the bass and highs are a LOT better. I would NOT recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from its missing only one thing that keeps it from getting 5/5i know this can be fixed in an update but it really needs to have Dolby Atmos!!!! I bought this because its the latest and greatest yet at this point I'm disappointed, I bought the best TV on the market by getting the 55" Class Q8FN QLED Smart 4K UHD TV (2018). I truly have never seen anything so nice! best display in the world! with great sound by itself. I bought this expecting the lastest and the greatest sound to go with it! I will give this 5/5 when it get dolby atmos!!!! if not i want to return it for one that will get it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice product. It was easy to install and it works great with my Samsung TV and Comcast XFINITY service provider. Comcast Voice remote works great with this sound bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High in quality, doesn't make up for lack in quantity. The new Sound+ sound bar does offer impressive quality of sound, unfortunately the attempt at removing the sub-woofer failed. If your purpose of the sound bar is for listening to music, this will suffice, but if you are looking for an all-round sound system to enhance your TV and movie viewing experience, select something with a dedicated sub. I had to replace my HW-J650 sound bar due to a failed warranty issue, and I miss my J650. I do not get that rumbling feeling with the new MS650 like i did with my older J650. I choose the MS650 because of the similar multi-room functions of the J650, and anticipating compatibility with my Samsung TV. I have a 2013 Samsung Smart TV, and it doesn't recognize the MS650 being plugged in even after the latest update like it did with my J650. The comparability issues are related to ARC function. I still get sound; the TV just doesn't acknowledge that it has a sound bar plugged in. When using the ARC to activate the sound bar when the TV is turned on, it doesn't ways work. I cannot replicate the issue on demand so I cannot pinpoint the exact issue. In short, - The MS650 has quality sound, but lacks the bass of a traditional sub-woofer.- ARC Compatibility issues with older Samsung Smart TVs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds good, constantly displays connection issueThe soundbar works good, but it frequently asks if it can connect to the network through the tv, they were both Samsung and purchased on the same day. It is really annoying, and I wish I would have gone with a different soundbar because of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine with some minor issuesI was interested in this product because I didn't want a large subwoofer hoggig up floorspace and I didn't have the need to be blasted out of the room with bass. It seemed to be a good choice. I guess what sound mode you should choose might depend on the dvd or bluray that you are watching because I HAVE noticed a difference between movies. That said, I got pretty tired of playing with different modes for each movie and trying to second guess what I should select, so for the most part I just stick with the smart mode, although there are times when something else might be better. The soundbar is connected to a Sony X900E and while I think the sound for the tv isn't that bad (I'm not a raging audiophile...) the HW-MS650 does improve it. My issues? I hate the time lag before I hear sound upon start up - about 15 seconds. Most annoying is when the sound either quits on its own or when I change a channel, find that I need to adjust the sound level up or down (because it's never consistent across broadcast tv) and the sound level is stuck in place. This happens about once, maybe twice in an evening. In that instance I need to turn the soundbar off and then back on again. That means that I will have the annoying 15 second delay again before I hear anything. I can't recall this happening with dvd/bluray movies, just broadcast tv. When I first purchased the soundbar I hooked it up with the optical cable for a day, then bought a quality hdmi cable and connected it to the HDMI/ARC on the TV. I mentioned this issue to a salesman at Best Buy and he opined that it was most likely an ARC issue. (Whatever that means.) I've only seen a few references to this as an issue for anyone else. It's irritating but I guess I'll live with it. I have a rotten internet connection so if there's a firmware fix... I'd be dead before it ever made it to the soundbar.Overall, I'm satisfied. I didn't want booming bass and I don't have to deal with it. It has improved sound for movies and I've found that when bass is relevant to the movie, I get some without getting blasted around the room. Given that my wife wouldn't tolerate that anyway, I'm fine with it. Voice is generally clear but again that might depend on what you are watching. I was very surprised to find that with some TV programs the sound was vastly improved... Gotham for example. When I tested the unit with music cd's, I found that the Lord of the Rings music cd's to be a good representation of sound.
