Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features - Dismal Battery Life I traded in an S25 Ultra, and sort of regret it. I travel frequently for work, and wanted the bigger screen for watching movies during flights. It's great for that, and when in airplane mode the battery life is perfectly acceptable. When connected to a network, whether or not I'm actively using it, the battery level starts dropping immediately. I find I now have to travel with an external battery pack or plugging in frequently when sitting in an airport terminal. Something I never needed to do with my S25 Ultra. Knowing all this, I don't think I would do it again. Probably will trade this in when the S26 comes out. Love you Samsung, but this one just does not do it for me.

Opened the device is great for viewing videos ,PDF', And playing games. Decent battery life. With a military grade case, it can be used in even the worst environmental conditions.

I was worried about the size and weight and if it would fit in my jean pockets - but it has passed every test. My previous phones were part of the Galaxy S series so the operating system was familiar but there seems to be a lot of different things I can do on this phone - I'm learning every day!

I don't like it that I can't get the screen to stay on all the time. There are some other creepy things. The color is not all that great. I'm getting used to it.

The front screen is big enough to use like a normal phone easily, and opening it up gives me that tablet like experience that just blows everything up! The screen is very vibrant and fun to watch videos on. I will be sticking with this form factor from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the money! I do not recommend this phone. The only awesome thing about it is how thin they managed to make it. The Z Fold 7 gets absolutely TERRIBLE service. My S23 Ultra was amazing and would get excellent signal in places that this phone gets no signal. As someone that travels a lot, the Z Fold 7 is almost worthless. The battery life is also terrible, even if you rarely use the bigger screen. I wish I would have kept my Ultra.

I traded in my Fold 4 for this Fold 7 and was surprised at the lightness of the phone and yet it is still very solid and very high performance. I am disappointed that they did not include the LED cover over the big screen camera as in earlier versions. I now have to see a dark spot on the big screen when watching a movie or video. The ripple in the big screen at the folded area is much better than the earlier versions. I hardly notice it whereas the others was a noticeable bump. I am very happy with this phone so far. Let's see if the screen laminate holds up after a year or so. The earlier versions bubbled after a few months.

But the whole point of getting a phone that turns into a tablet is to draw, sketch, work, and TAKE PHOTOS. The device is not worth the cost without the pen. Features here vs the s series are minimal except for the large screen that makes using multiple apps at the same time easier.

Sent back to Samsung they advised that it's impact damage and I would have to pay to fix them phone. There is no physical damage and they confirmed that saying that they use specialized equipment to inspect. This will be my last samsun product. We have always stuck with a samsung appliances tvs and phones but after being treated this way I will be going a different route! When I asked for proof that it's was damaged they advised that they could cancel my repair ticket and close my claim.. Great customer service right there after years of loyalty they have ended the relationship of a longtime customer!!!

I expected it to be a little longer and the outer screen a little wider so needless to say when I did receive it, I felt cheated otherwise It is a nice phone. A step up from the original Z fold I first purchased. It was a tossup between purchasing S 25 ultra and Z fold 7. if I could I’d trade for the android S 25 ultra in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smitten Honestly, I absolutely love this phone. The design, thinness, and overall display sizes are amazing. In its folded and unfolded states, the phone feels amazingly thin, yet still sturdy. The hinge feels different, in a good way. It's got a certain snappiness when opening and closing. This is unlike the Fold 6 I used to have which, while still acceptable in general, felt more mushy and didnt "snap" open or closed. Display brightness is pretty great, however, an anti reflective coating would have been nice. As I type this with an overhead lamp behind me, it glares tremendously. I find myself "tipsy turvy-ing" the phone to see move the light reflection around. Battery is OK. Not terrible, not great. I use the Light power profile since I'm not a super power user. Mostly some social media shorts and video streaming, so full power usage is not necessary. I'm finding that the Light profile is still plenty fast and I'm not experiencing any weird glitching or slowdown. I got just over 10 hours screen time and 14 hours of standby on a 100% charge going all the way to 0 (doing a battery calibration). Mostly FB and YT, with FB having more than twice the on screen time than YT. The exclusion of the S-pen honestly doesn't bother me, never used it on the Fold 6 and I never use it on my S23 Ultra, so its a non-issue. I traded in my Fold6 for a major discount during pre-order, so the price became super enticing. I loved my Fold6, but made the mistake of going to a store and checking it out in person. It was game over after that. About a month later, I am still smitten and absolutely love this phone. At home, I strip the case and play with it naked. The Fold7, I mean... Unless they do something radical with the Fold9 or 10, I likely won't upgrade for a while. I'm also concerned about the fact that the subsequent successors won't be as thin, according to some rumors. I love this thinness.

The thinner profile of the 7 and the early adoption deals that Samsung offers with double storage drew me in to upgrading early. The 7 offers beauty and style matched with usability. Samsung's fold phones with Google's Android operating system are leap years ahead of everyone else. I plan to stick with this unbeatable line of cellular phones.

In less than a month, the inside screen developed a malfunction. There was no physical or water damage, and I never dropped it. I called customer service, and they said they would repair it and run some tests. Later, I received a text saying I would have to pay \$636 to replace the screen. I’m not satisfied with this new Z7—I had my Z6 & Z4 for over a year and never had any issues. This new technology and the customer service are very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect, but still nice. I previously had the Z Fold 5, and skipped the 6 because I didn't see much reason to upgrade. The 7 is nice, I love the thinness and the weight. However, Samsung REALLY missed the mark by keeping the cameras vertical, instead of horizontal like the Pixel. The phone never sits flat on any surface because it constantly rocks back and forth, and putting a magsafe case on this phone makes almost all accessories impossible to line up correctly because they hit the camera bump. I think if they rotated the camera setup 90 degrees to the top of the phone, they would have had MUCH better end result. Here's to hoping they make that change in the Fold 8.

It is often said people do not want thinner phones, but that is not true when it comes to foldables, which double in thickness when folded. The thinness does not feel fragile either, there is a comforting solidity to the phone. And the differences between this model and last years are more pronounced, which is a great value add to those who wish to have the latest and greatest. I also feel as though the phone runs cooler than the previous fold.

Magsafe charging capability. The slim build is great and much lighter than previous models. Cons - The main screen would be prefect at 3in wide. A built in magsafe magnet would be better. The camera lens placement should be horizontal because it doesn't allow you to use magsafe wallets and batter charges. You have to position them diagonal so it's pointless.

Even with the 200MP main camera it doesn't hold a candle to even my S22 Ultras picture and video quality. I'll probably switch back in a few years unless they figure this out. 2. Battery life... smaller battery spec wise so I figured it wouldn't be as good but have a cable to charge on your car or you won't make it through a full day. Outside of that it's dope. I love the functionality, the display is great, it feels good in my hand. Everyone complements it. Love the new AI features like call assist, this has been huge. Bullet pointing business calls so I can be on the move and hold meetings at the same time.

But it is nice when I occasionally play a game. Having said that, the phone is thinner and more lightweight than my Ultra was, which is surprising. It has nice speed and a lot of storage space. A bit pricey. The camera bump out is a bit extreme. Overall, no real complaints.

With is a very helpful feature with this phone. Have owned a early model Z fold will not order without. Maybe consider a Z Fold 6 refurbished

I used to brag that I could perform specialized functions like document signing, drawing, coloring, detailed editing, etc.; without having to carry a full size tablet. I think Samsung forgot that this is a nichè item, not a everyman item. We pay the extra fee for bells and whistles to be accessible to us that you wouldn't normally get on a standard phone. A big screen is nice but there is only so much to brag about when the big screen functions like a small screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Death Of the S-Pen I no longer need accessories for the Fold 7 phone, as I have decided not to purchase it due to its incompatibility with the S-Pen. In my opinion, the S-Pen and its capabilities were what set the Fold series apart from the rest of the mobile phone industry. Now that the S-Pen has been removed, the Fold series feels just like any other smartphone and lacks its distinctive appeal. I will not be buying the Fold 7 and will wait to see if the Fold 8 will support the S-Pen. I have been a customer for over 20 years, but my patience is wearing thin. This truly is a big disappointment!

I am almost convinced to buy one and make it 5 star. Still needs a few improvements, though. In-screen Fingerprint sensor and a true, 3d face unlock and just a little bigger battery. Samsung's almost there!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Samsung, why did you do it? Samsung, what have you done? This is one of the most disappointing and lacklustre launches I have ever witnessed. You took away so many cutting-edge features just so you could brag to consumers that you have a thinner phone (which is mitigated by the huge camera bump), and you gave the lazy excuse that nobody uses these features, so you took them away. Am I nobody, because I loved the under-display camera and the S Pen? In particular, I took a leap of faith from the Note series to the Fold, starting with the Fold 3, because it had S Pen capability. Now I feel... betrayed. The only silver lining is that now I get to save my money this round. In addition to that, perhaps I will experience the thrill of searching for a new device, perhaps from a different company, that is as innovative as the Note and Fold were in the past.

Samsung did not remove the S Pen compatibility from the Z Fold 7 they only deleted the S Pen from the Phone Case that they sell. You can purchase an aftermarket phone case that houses the S Pen.

Then I switched to foldable phones, had fold 4 small battery small front screen,same with fold 6.Samsung won't put bigger battery compare to others 5800 mah I guess samsung hasn't recovered from exploding batteries shock.The 2 biggest problems were the small battery and front screen on fold 4 and fold 6.Fold 7 i see slightly bigger front screen and same small battery which doesn't even last a day.So yes I'm done with Samsung will use this Fold 6 till breaks down and go for other companies. Fold 4 had broken screen after 6 months and repair shop wanted $600 dollars to fix. Good thing I had warranty and traded in for Fold 6....Not buying Samsung phones any more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as thin as claimed I was going to buy the Fold 7 until I saw that the phone, when folded, will not lay flat because of how far out the camera lenses protrude. And, while so much is being made of how thin the phone is it's not true. They don't include the protruding lenses when measuring the thickness. Make the phone a little thicker to match the lense depth and provide for better cooling and a larger battery with that extra 1 or 1.5mm and then I'll buy one.

I was very disappointed with this launch. I rather a thicker phone WITH the best camera AND A PEN. I'm staying with my 25Ulta. (Which I'm still upset about the pen not being Bluetooth no more.)

The phone is raised the price, and lower the the trade in value. Samsung is too greedy this year, I do not feel worthy to buy the phone.

When I went from the fold5 to the fold6 I got so much more. The trade in was a better value. I only had to pay $350 out of pocket with the trade for the fold6. This one is less than the fold6 yet its $1000 out of pocket. It's not that much thinner than the fold6 either. I was so excited for this phone to come out but its a HUGE disappointment! BIG FAIL SAMSUNG

Under display camera sits in the middle of videos 3. Battery capacity is poor I'll take extra thickness for the S-pen and larger battery anyday. Release a Fold 7 special edition with these features and I'm in! -

Dont take it camping, to the beach, to a concert, or a park. One grain of sand in the spine and it doesn't lay flat. They just cant seem to fix this poor design. I bought 2 and won't fall for it again. Great idea just doesn't fit life. And dont get me started on the terrible stylus pen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "wow" from a folding phone veteran Upgrading from a fold 5 to 7. Love the new size and how slim it is. A bit sad about them nixing the under-pixel camera on the inner screen since it was so neat, but I feel like I won't miss it. Love the green color too. Feels great in hand, I do use both a case and a popsocket, which I think really helps me keep a good hold on it. Unboxed it at work and a group of coworkers oohed and awed at it. We'll see how it holds up but based on my fold 5 staying pristine over the last 2 years despite a few frizbee-esque drops, I'm hoping for great things. I will say the hinge on this thing feels crisp and so satisfying to me, even as a folding phone veteran. I'm really impressed so far. Pic is a comparison of my fold 5 in a case to the fold 7 in a case. Samsung didn't sell a full case so I went with an aftermarket one that covered both sides.

First of all Samsung, what is the deal with these speakers. They are by far some of the quietest and less than average. If you're a heavy music video listener get the 25 ultra. Next is the battery, let's get on track with the other foldables and switch to silicon carbon. The last thing is this dang camera bump is out of this world. I'd much rather than useful and makes this phone very annoying.

It's not a bad phone, but it's at least 3 steps down from the 23ultra I had.. This phone has a constant lag problem.. The comparable download speeds are at a minimum 300 megabytes less. Just know that your getting a lot less phone if trading a 23 ultra or similar phone. Not very satisfied with the purchase, but it will have to do for now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one device you'll want to get!! I get the new "flavor of the month" every year when the flips & $Olds come out. I have to say, so far this phone is the best comparison to a note that asammy has put out! I know, I know..but I use my device as if it's my personal assistant. There hasn't been a device on the market since the Note line, that functions in this manner. As far as cameras go, well it functions & takes pics with awesome definition. I don't have an eye to pick out megapixels, etc. All I know is that it works & takes awesome pics & that's how I determine the effectiveness of the camera. One thing I can't get over is how light this thing is...crazy light..ive only had this phone since last wednesday and even to this day when I pick it up I do a double take to make sure it is my phone im grabbing. Even making it this light they didn't skimp out on any features in order to do so. Well, they did take out the S-Pen. I'm not really broke up about it, I do miss some features that came with the pen but it's nothing you can't do with your own S-Pen.. The inside screen still comes with the screen protector already in place, which to me is a great thing.. I like everything about this phone EXCEPT FOR THE BATTERY SIZE. Sammy went all out for this Fold-7 & changed/upgraded numerous features, yet they they still throw the same size battery into it. That is a HUGE OPPORTUNITY WASTED!! I'm still i the early days of use and the phone doing it's own "evaluation" so soon I'll be able to go through everything & make tweaks to the system & apps, so that maybe I can go 12 hours without having to recharge. I'm not holding my breath though. Overall, I'll have to say this is the best fold in the fold product line. While it might skimp on a few things along the way it doesn't take away from the overall effectiveness of the device itself!!

The cover screen feels like a normal phone and the inner display is perfect anytime you need a tablet experience for reading or watching videos. I'm used to the note and ultra series since the note 4 so lack of s pen is disappointing but other than that the phone is perfect. I know I'm one of the few that probably actually still used that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's worse then 6 for me. Stick with the fold 6. I have had this phone for a couple weeks and already it has multiple problems that I never had with my fold 6. Network issues, battery life is worse. The inner screen sweats for some reason just being closed. It's clean and everything not hot and when I go to open it there is residue build up inside the folding screen. Already dealing with a "warranty" replacement because im 2 days out of return policy. This is my last samsung phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone so far! I'm enjoying my new Galaxy fold 7 more and more as I become accustomed to its features. Bottom line I am really enjoying it! I only took off one star because of the lack of support for an S-Pen, which I had used to sign documents on my previous S22 Ultra. Now I have to transfer documents to be signed to my TAB 10+ for that. I have used Samsung phones since the Galaxy S4, through 2 Note series phones and the S22 Ultra that I traded in for this Fold 7 about 4 weeks ago. They were all great phones which is why I also bought a Galaxy Tab 10+ a few months ago.

I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra and there is a huge difference between these cameras especially in the zoom quality. Compared to other phones on the market that have foldable devices some are out there have amazing cameras. You've got way cheaper phones out of China that have amazing camera quality like vivo. I paid too much for too little.

My biggest complaint with the phone is that the battery doesn't last long and it has absolutely terrible cell reception. This phone will lose signal where no other phones on our account will. Phone calls are always choppy and cutting in and out with this phone as well wearing my s23 ultra had no such issues at all.

I have been looking at the Fold for the past 2 years, but didn't pull the trigger due to the extra weight and thickness compared to normal phones (I have been using the Flip and loved it's size and flexibility). However, this year the Fold 7 really took a huge leap forward with this super slim and lightweight design! I have been using the phone for a few weeks straight and absolutely love it! Some improvements I would love to see for the Fold8: 1. Longer battery life - right now I am only getting ~% hours of a large screen time and I need to top up the battery at least once per day. Please consider using silicon-carbon batteries like the the Chinese manufacturers! 2. Fixing the camera bump - can you make it more like the Pixel Fold 10 where its horizontally laid out vs. vertical? The vertical messes up the balance and the Qi2 magnets! 3. Qi2 out of the box - I ended up getting a case with Qi2 which kind of works, but the camera actually makes the magnets misaligned and awkward. Please make it Qi2 compatible straight out of the box! 4. IP68 - this is probably my lowest ask. I would fix the first 3 first.

I have been using Galaxy fold phones for almost 10 years . This newest one you don't see the crease in the middle it's very light and very stable form rock solid performance no issues whatsoever.It is really easy to use and do screenshots. I love photography this is by far one of the best phones Samsung have ever made. It is dustproof and water resistant . I like the way the hinges they close open it gives you a very sturdy feeling.. . Samsung has really perfected this phone where all the flaws they had for the past few years have been eradicated. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who's looking to purchase a Fold 7.

Been using it since (2 weeks) and just love everything about it. The only thing I find aq little difficult is the phone case and screen protector. I am on 2nd screen protector keeps ripping from the middle where it folds. Note I bought mine on aftermarket. Other than that, it works beautiful, pictures are amazing has helped me a lot in my work and in personal things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fold or nothing. Honestly, I keep reading it's expensive. Agreed. Cheaper though will cost more in the longrun. Since my Fold 5 I will never get another phone. I purchased mine with Affirm. Made the payments interest free easier for me to buy 2. My wife adored her phone.

I didn't think it could get any better than the 5, but I was sooo wrong!! They have blown it out of the water with this latest Z Fold 7 model!! It's so much thinner, the screens are bigger and it is all around faster at processing. I thought it was impossible to make it thinner, yet bigger and faster than the 5. BRAVO SAMSUNG!!! THANKS!!! I am a Galaxy Z Folder for Life!!
