Very Fragile screen
The most Fragile phone Samsung Z Flip 7. If you deciding to get this model, make sure to get an Insurance. I wish someone told me that. Used less than 2 months and cracked half way right on flip side. Samsung doesn't covers and it cost +400 plus tax to repair. Camera not so great, my old Samsung was much better.

The Best Z Flip to date.
The Z Flip7 is more responsive than the Z Flip6. Everything is a bit better with this model. After a thorough test, I ordered one for my wife for Christmas.

Can't change font color on status bar
Very disappointed in this model compared to my old Samsung Flip 4. It is wider than my old model, which I don't like. The biggest issue that I have with the Samsung Flip 7 is that you can't change the font color on your status bar. It only displays as black and it blends in the darkness on my wallpaper so I can't see what it displays. Highly disappointed in this.

Love the form factor
Works great, form factor is wonderful. I will never go back to a slab phone again. Crease is only noticeable if you are looking for it, otherwise invisible.

Great deals on trade ins
I always buy my Samsung phones from Samsung directly. They make it easy by giving great trade in values for their phones and I get them unlocked

Great phone but fragile
Still new to me, but I really like the way the phone fits in the palm of my hand and slides easily into a pocket. The ergonomics when folded are excellent - I only wish that Samsung provided a native way to access apps on the cover screen. IMO it's a little baffling that they haven't - that they still restrict the cover screens to widgets and dumb static graphics. When open the ergonomics are a little wonky due to the need avoid the hinge area for buttons etc. This means that to reach the volume and power/fingerprint reader you need to slide your hand up a bit, which can be done with one hand but is probably not a good long term technique. That inner screen is also vulnerable given that it has nearly no bezel and any phone case can't do anything to help as it would otherwise impinge on the clamshell closing tightly. The recommendations almost all suggest getting a warranty - I definitely agree.

Galaxy Z Flip 7
This is my 2nd Samsung Flip phone, and I love it!! The front screen on the Flip 7 is much bigger, and more useful than previous models. Battery charges very quick, and lasts pretty long. Great phone!!

Screen breaks w/normal use- warranty doesn't cover
The screen stopped working after less than 6 months of normal use. 3 of Samsung's U Break I Fix recommended repair partners, couldn't help, the last one told us to mail it into Samsung. We were told by Samsung that screen damage isn't covered by their warranty. This is an unreliable product with a life span of less than 6 months with a warranty that does not cover normal use. DO NOT BUY. I will look for a different manufacturer with a real warranty in the future.

Smart, sleek and functional.
I love my galaxy z flip 7. It's so practical and stylish. The phone closes so particles don't disturb the screen. It's sleeker and performs well.

Not for me
It gets hot easily and freezes frequently, which is very disappointing. If I had known this, I would have chosen the s25 or waited for the s26 to be released.

it's my first foldable and last one from samsung.
Posting this as a strong warning to anyone thinking about buying a Samsung foldable.
I’ve had my Samsung Flip 7 for about 5 months. From day one it has always been in a protective case, never dropped, never hit, no water damage, nothing. The body still looks like new.
Most importantly:
**the original factory screen protector on the INNER screen has ZERO scratches, not even a tiny mark.**
A few days ago, during completely normal opening and closing, the inner screen suddenly developed a crack exactly along the crease. There was no drop, no impact – I simply opened the phone and saw the crack.
I send it to a Samsung authorized service center. The technician inspected it and classified it as **“physical damage”** and quoted me **$356** for an inner screen replacement. This is still within the first year of warranty.
I disagreed because:
- The frame and corners have no impact marks
- The phone is still in like-new condition
- The **factory inner screen protector is perfectly intact**
- The crack appeared along the crease during normal use
I escalated the case through Samsung support. The manager basically told me that:
> any damage/crack along the crease may not be treated as a manufacturing defect,
> and **any screen damage is considered “physical damage” and out of warranty.**
So in practice, what they are telling me is:
- Even if the phone is only 5 months old
- Even if it looks brand new
- Even if the factory screen protector isn’t scratched at all
…a crease crack on a Samsung Flip 7 is still “physical damage” and **the most fragile part of the phone is effectively NOT protected by warranty.**
I’ve asked them to return the phone to me. I’m not going ahead with the $356 repair right now, and I’ll be sharing screenshots of the conversation so people can see exactly how this was handled.
?? **Strong warning to anyone considering a Samsung foldable:**
If this is how crease cracks are treated – automatically labeled “physical damage” no matter how carefully you use the device – you should think VERY carefully before spending your money on a Flip/Fold.
My questions to the community:
Has anyone with a Flip/Fold 7-style device and a “crease crack but no drops” case actually managed to get Samsung to cover it under warranty or goodwill?
Is this now the standard: **ANY crease crack = physical damage = no warranty**?
For those who have had screen issues more than once, did you eventually get a replacement, or did you just give up on Samsung foldables?
People deserve to know what “warranty” really means on these phones before they buy.

Nice Phone, Slim Pocket Profile
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is a nice phone overall. Getting used to the flip version but the slimmer and smaller profile while stored in my pants pocket is great. I was looking to get a smaller pocket footprint to be able to help me sit up and down easily at work without always taking my phone out of my pocket. If I would not remove the larger phones from my pocket, they would fall out and slide down the seat or side and hit the hard floor. The only downside so far is the transfer of Samsung Wallet and Samsung Rewards card stored inside the app. Still trying to resolve after a couple weeks. Support is great and attempting to fix the problem.
