Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good watch but expected better battery performance I switched from a 6 classic and when it was new the battery used to last 2 full days. With the time, battery started to last less and less which was expected for me. Before changing it, it lasted one day and on the 2nd I would have to charge it by noon. And this brand new 8 Classic lasts only one or two hours more than my old 6 Classic. And according to the Samsung's salesman this is expected. We are talking about same use. Let me tell you that the word that he should use is disappointing. You developed lot of features so the watch can track my sleep and etc but how is that supposed to work if half of the nights the watch needs to be charging so it won't die in the middle of the following day? To be honest... Disappointed of you mess up with the things you were doing fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch Good--Customer Service Bad The watch is a clear upgrade from my Watch 4, which had served me well but the battery life was getting problematic. With the new watch, using all the same settings transferred over from my old watch, I now get 2+ days of wear rather than having to recharge in the middle of the day. My issue has been with the trade-in process and the customer support that I've had to deal with because of the decision to not allow a trade-in. I will not go into the details, but I will mention that if you're looking to try to save a couple of dollars through a trade-in, think about it. The liklihood that, despite everything working on my end that would indicate an easy trade-in, the company will give you that discount is pretty low in my opinion. Save yourself the trouble, just buy the watch from a different retailer and give your old watch to someone who can use it--it will save you an awful lot of irritation.

There doesn’t seem to be a simple way to lock the screen to prevent my kids from touching it. Right now, the only option I have is to take the watch off and put it back on once it locks, which isn’t convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent watch with a couple minuses I used to have the gear s3 Frontier watch, but when I upgraded my phone to the latest Samsung model, I couldn't connect to it anymore. So I got the Watch 8 Classic (like I needed to spend any more on tech). I am very pleased with the ease of operation and features. My only complaints are that controlling the volume on my phone from my watch is more obscure and it just barely lasts 2 days. I used to be able to charge my watch overnight and then wear it 2-3 days. I get that this model does much more and the pluses do vastly outweigh the minuses, but the shorter run time is, for me, one star's worth of disappointment.

The apps and features are about the same with a few enhancements. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE that the battery life lasts much longer. All-in-all, I would say it was a good upgrade.

Watch has some improvements over earlier versions with the rotating bezel to move through the menus the highlight for me. My last Samsung watch had no issues for the 2+ years I owned it and I expect the same high quality for this one.

I upgraded to the watch 8 and it's a must have with all the features that are really convenient in my daily activity. One thing that my watch did was to alert me that my heart went into Arrythmia. There were no symptoms, but my watch gave me insight to seek medical help. That's how good this watch is. Thank you Samsung.

The rotating bezel feels smooth and satisfying, the display is bright and crisp even outdoors, and the overall performance is fast with zero lag. Health tracking is accurate, notifications come through instantly, and the watch integrates perfectly with the Samsung ecosystem. It genuinely feels like a high-end timepiece with modern smart features layered on top. That said, the battery life is the one area that still needs improvement. Even after applying all the usual optimizations — disabling unused sensors, limiting background apps, adjusting brightness, and using power-saving modes — the watch still drains faster than expected. It’s manageable, but you’ll likely find yourself charging it more often than you’d like. Overall, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic delivers a fantastic user experience with premium hardware and smooth performance. If Samsung can improve the battery life in future updates, it would be close to perfect.

The only reason i couldn't give it 5 stars is because the battery life is too short. I've used an lesser known brand watch for the last 2 years and would only have to charge it every 4 to 5 days. With my Classic i can only wear it for 2 nights and have to charge it on the morning so i can use it. Please Samsung figure out a way the battery life is longer...

However, these shining aspects are unfortunately dimmed by a couple of significant design and performance issues. While the rich functionality is a clear win, a minor design oversight is the classic diver's bezel. Its fixed five-minute hashmarks and ten-minute numbers cannot be reoriented, rendering them useless if you choose to wear the watch on your right wrist. More critically, the battery life estimates are significantly overoptimistic. In my two weeks of use, I've had to charge it at least twice every three days. Each charge takes about 90 minutes, meaning the watch is out of commission for a considerable period every 24-36 hours. To avoid missing activity tracking during these frequent charging sessions, having a companion Galaxy Ring or a second watch is highly recommended.

So, Ultra and Watch8 are not fitable. You can buy Watch8 / classic and put on any band, it changes like in classic watches. I just puted my watch8 band to watch3 and chenged it to my old natural rubber band from classic wathes. Watch8 / classic fits 22mm band. Also I was nervious about size. They are smaller than Ultra and not to much bigger than Watch3 classic.

How chunky it looked ?? even for this one. This watch is a cleaner look. My only complaint I hope Samsung improves on the classic is audio/sound. Yes, they finally move the speaker in a better position where you can FINALLY HEAR while your wearing it. Now, please improve the audio, so I can use it on-the-go (LTE) without the need using my buds 3pro. All in all, amazing job on everything besides the design( seems like almost everyone hates the "squircle" look).

Some advice, Samsung: Newer trade-ins that are refurbished and resold are way more valuable than they used to be. No tariffs! You don't pay, and neither do your customers. Just saying.

Compared to the old models, to me the frame looks ugly! I hate it and thought about returning it multiple times! Keeping it just so I can use the new features and since I am a long term user of Together! BP tracking is till not available in the US! This might be the last version I use if things don't change.

It show me consistently with a three hour span if ti.e when sleep records says that I wasn't asleep at all. I am in bed the whole night and I do not sleep walk. I do not sleep alone and my wife assures me that I am in bed the entire time. This watch does do other tasks well but it does not do the one reason I bought this watch. Oh, this is the new replacement and it does the very same thing as the original watch. I will look elsewhere in shopping for a other watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance, a look I've grown to appreciate Finally traded up from my GW4C, which had gotten so slow it would sometimes take dozens of seconds just to pattern unlock. Makes the superfluid snappy performance of the GW8C all the more gratifying. Battery life has been a little uneven, and the Wear OS usage monitor not very useful, but having identified and disabled one apparent culprit, a tile for a weather app with more info and cooler graphics than the built-in one, I've never failed to make it through a day, even with a couple of hours of exercise tracking. Was reluctant about the squircle design, but I like it better on my wrist than in the product photos. Annoyed Samsung hasn't navigated FDA acceptance of some BP monitoring that was implied to be impending when I got the GW4C, and instead proffered a bunch of never-heard-of quasi-medical metric inventions no regulator (& few customers) would care about, or derive useful information from. But at least my "vascular load" is stable :-) My other complaints relate more to a new Wear OS device than this watch in particular, such as use of Gemini as the assistant, still missing key features I've relied on for years. All that said, I'm actually really happy with the watch. Beautiful screen, great performance, good band-swapping mechanism have kept the honeymoon period going.

Sadly, the battery life in the watch 8 is shorter than my watch 5. Not sure why because the watch 8 is larger than the 5.

The screen is slow to respond and sometimes won't even with touch sensitivity turned up. When I turn it off then put it in the charger it turns back on...I want it off! Not many apps, watch faces, and bands are limited. I plan on contacting Support when I have time to go through all that but you asked for a review... bad timing!

Nothing really bad about it, I do prefer the physical rotating bezel vs the touch bezel which makes the Classic excellent. Only things I wish were a little better would be the battery live (always want more), Gemini Integration (wish it could control more like Android Auto), and for the money you pay for the Classic, it should come with two bands, although I do really like the Hybrid band and probably would choose it over others.

Quick note on a purchase, look for the best price on line and then find a reputable seller that "price matches". Then you get a good deal from someone who will actually send a watch and not merely advertise a low price to get your money. So far the watch is cool. Lots of usual computer things but there is a learning curve on where to find them in the watch. I just took the watch out and started clicking things. Sometimes I found what I was looking for and sometimes I had to ask on line where to find stuff. For an example, at first, when looking to take an ECG, it was not entirely user friendly. It was not hard to do after reading a few instructions and a watch face can be added to make it really easy. I use that watch face when sleeping so if I want to record an AFib episode, I only need to click one icon and then do the thirty second process. By the way, both my cardiologist and GP dismiss the data. I think doctors are a little bit egotistical and if it is not their idea, they are not interested. Overall, it is a fun, FDA approved health monitor that one can use to send a text, look at calendar items, ect. but only in miniature. There is even a calculator but I have not had any luck clicking the correct tiny little function keys. Maybe I will find out that I can make the keys bigger but then all the keys would not be on the screen. I call it "my expensive FDA approved ECG toy with benefits" machine.

Battery is good but not as good as other previous galaxy watches. Take in count that this one has more gadgets and functions. And the other little detail might be the wrist bands, but it cannbe changed.

I only charge it when I shower and its good enough to use. Never had a day with battery below 40% on how I use it. Im now more conscious with my health in regards to sleep, water intake, and active hours. The delivery of the watch was spot on. I thought it will not arrive on time. But it did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to Have Consumer Grade Device This watch would get 5 stars...... I have had this watch for 2 weeks now. It is my first smart watch in 25 years. Twenty-five years ago, I purchased a "smart watch" but soon after I took delivery, I quit wearing it. It simply duplicated what my cell phone did with text messages, reminders, email stuff, etc. The duplicate data was in miniature form and difficult to navigate....my fingers are too big. Now it is 2026. It is the same thing with many, many more miniature features. The Classic 8 watch is larger, but my fingers are still too big. I do have a greater range of experience with computer gadgets, and a better understanding of how the computing things work. Still, the watch mostly duplicates what my Galaxy phone does. The exception to the duplication is the ECG health feature. To be fair to my cell phone, the watch does not actually track the ECG either unless I manually take actions. The phone does not automatically do ECG things by itself. (It might, if AFib goes on for over an hour.) The few Atrial Fibrillation recordings and the several ‘unknown irregular’ recordings over the past two weeks are the result of me physically feeling them and then manually starting the recording. Of course, Samsung puts all of the disclaimers in to let the users know that the watch is a toy heart monitor and that a real doctor should be consulted for medical issues and the doctor will have a real ECG machine. It just happens that my cardiologist had a Zio patch glued to my chest the day after I purchased my Galaxy 8 Classic. It will be interesting to see how the watch did. I like the watch because it is a gadget, it has a “I fell and cannot get up” feature, and I can see that what I am feeling is something and not just my imagination, I get some reminders that I would miss if I were not in the same room with my phone. Since I am wearing the watch, there is a greater chance I will always have it, unlike a phone. An improvement would be if it vibrated when it lost contact with my phone. That would alert me that I left my phone behind. Some of the app functions are not 100% user friendly and I have to research how to use them. One example of this is that I somehow put in a duplicate medication and the phone keeps telling me that I forgot to take the pill. I might have to delete all the pill reminders and start over. I set an alarm and when it goes off, I think I am turning if off, but I am only snoozing it, I have to look it up…. One last note: the band that came with the watch looks like leather, but it is some sort of rubberized material. The only watch bands that fit the watch are expensive proprietary Samsung bands. This is not a problem if it is comfortable and the user likes it. If I put the watch on and it is perfectly lined up, it is OK. The position cannot be realigned without undoing the strap. This is an issue when the watch tells me to reposition the watch to for it to take a measurement. Summary, this watch is not ‘sold as’ or ‘relied on’ as a medical grade device. The watch satisfied my curiosity as to some of those physical feelings I get from time to time but, seeing a doctor is more important than a luxury watch. I use the term luxury because the watch is not a necessity. Most smart phones, also luxury items, in terms of necessity, do the same things except for the health stuff (please see a doctor if you are are experiencing health issues).

I've only had the watch for a couple months and the back/bottom button was missing all of the sudden. They would not fix it under warranty, which is extremely disappointing. The people I spoke with on the phone with Samsung were not helpful in getting me answers - only saying that I would have to pay over $300 to get it fixed. I've had only Samsung watches and phones for the last decade and this will be my last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I suspected It's a nice-looking watch and for what it does, it works well but I wanted it to replace my Samsung Gear S3 and it doesn't. It's mostly a health device and what I was looking for is an extension of my phone on my wrist. I went to trade in my old Gear S3 and they took so long to DENY my trade in because the battery was dead (which is why I was replacing it - batteries are EXPENSIVE!) I can no longer return the Watch8 Classic. Customer support was not very user friendly also.

Battery life isn’t as strong as the Watch5 but lasts a full day. My only gripe is Samsung removing the smart auto-switch between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth—it now runs both at once or just one, instead of switching as needed. Overall, very happy with the watch.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, a step above the base Galaxy Watch 8, has all the same features; however for the increase in cost it provides extra styling and usability that includes a rotating bezel and two day battery life. The Classic has a squarish frame (unlike the block style of the competitor) surrounding a circular watch face, which give it a stylish look. It also has a new lug system for bands; so unfortunately, older bands won’t work. However, this should not be a dealbreaker, as bands are easier to attach with the new design. If you are a Galaxy watch user, Samsung offered a $150 trade in (at the time of my purchase), which brought the price down below most retail sellers. Well worth it. Between my wife and I, we’ve had 3 models. This, by far, is the best.

For me, not sure about others, the battery doesn't last a full day. I shouldn't have to put my watch in battery saver mode just to get through the day. The auto brightness option dims screen in 5 seconds before you can read all complications. You dont expect to buy a $600 watch and then struggle to see display!

The watch functions are slow to respond, i.e. heartbeat, etc. unlike my Garmin which is instantaneous. The notifications are slow, and do not stay up for any length of time, and I have not found a way to extend them. I was going to send it back but missed the window.

Battery life has been fantastic even when using it heavily, and features are plentiful. My only issue is that some features are behind a Samsung wall. As I don't have a Samsung phone, I can't use all of the health features that the watch has to offer. The irritating thing of course, is that a Samsung phone isn't necessary as these are features of the watch, the phone shouldn't matter. Also, when buying the watch I didn't see anything on the store page saying not all features would be available if you didn't have a Samsung phone. So I'd say great watch, but beware, you can't use all features unless you also have a Samsung phone.

The Classic is beautiful and feels like a real watch, the rotating bezel is also has a very fun click feel. im. not sure ill ever go back to a normal galaxy watch.

At that time watches with bazel did not call as "Classic". And I have never had so stinky band like this one. It smells like it was made from some cheap chinesse rubber. So sad. I am planning to send complain to the samsung customer service to ask for replace the band.

Recently upgraded phone, head phones, and watch. 2 out of 3 are disappointing enough that I would return them if I could. So the watch, looks awesome and thats where the complicates end. I was so excited to get the extra tracking things that the Watch 4 couldn't do but they don't matter because the tracking is way off. It has me sleeping for 4 hours and snoring for 5. This sucks because I've come depend on the tracking from my watch to adjust my life accordingly for health. The other issue is notifications. I won't get text notifications on my watch or phone sometimes. This happens only when I have the watch on. Love the look and idea behind the watch if it only worked. Samsung please don't reply with a user guide clip, this is my 5th Samsung watch over 16 years, it just doesn't work like its supposed to. Samsung quality is going down unfortunately.

The battery life is about as I expected. It's much better than the 6 but not as great as I wish. I get about 2 days. I bought it on the Samsung site with the trade in and it was a fair value for the watch. I found aftermarket nads and I like them a little better than the one that came with it. It's only I am not a big fan of the solid silicone bands.,I prefer a band that breathes.

Other notifucations that i would like from other aps, still trying to figure it out. May be because im 60 years old, but i would like to have it work easier i do like to see who text me so i dont have to pull out mt phone, xant fifgure out how to sink with MS teams. If i can get it to work with my employers applications, may see value. If its just texts, not so sure. Still need to see how the health aps work. Watch does more than what im familiar with. I can see what time it is though very easyily. As i said, nice novelty, im glad it was a gift

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major downgrade from Galaxy Watch5 Pro- Returned My wife and I both used Galaxy Watch5 Pro watches for years. With normal use, they reliably lasted about 3 days per charge. We upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic expecting a meaningful improvement, but both watches struggled to make it 24 hours, even with power saving mode used during the day. That makes the Watch 8 Classic a downgrade for our use. The newer health features did not add enough real-world value to justify the worse battery life, added charging hassle, and extra weight. I work in healthcare, and for my use, these features feel more like novelty upgrades than practical tools that change daily decision-making. Blood pressure support is also now available on older Galaxy watches, so that was not enough reason to keep the upgrade. Charging was another major disappointment. Using a fast USB-C charger, the Watch 8 Classic took over 3 hours to charge. Our Watch5 Pros charge in about 90 minutes. Cosmetic flexibility was also disappointing. We bought adapters to reuse our existing straps and bought face covers, but after trying the watches, we returned those accessories too. Samsung keeps pushing AI, but I would rather see AI used for practical tools that reduce friction: better gesture control, swipe, scroll, tap, back, answer, dismiss, phone controls, SmartThings controls, and TV controls across the Samsung ecosystem without digging through menus. That would be useful. AI-powered wellness summaries are not enough if the watch cannot reliably last through the day. I do not need a smartwatch for HD video, extra screen performance, or novelty features. I need it to work as a watch, reminder tool, health tracker, and daily-use smart device. For that purpose, the Watch 8 Classic was heavier, less efficient, slower to charge, and less practical than the Watch5 Pro. I am glad I did not send in our trade-ins before testing the new watches. We returned both Galaxy Watch 8 Classics and are keeping our Galaxy Watch5 Pros. Hopefully the next version focuses more on battery life, charging speed, and practical daily-use features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice watch Bought this as a gift to myself for making it 5 years at my current job. I had the galaxy watch 4 which I got for free a few years ago. Last summer I wore it to cedar point, and the battery died way to fast. The last ride I stood in line for my watch died. We lost my friend, and with my watch being dead no way to contact her, and her husband asking me over and over if my watch worked. I have been needing a new watch. Which the battery lasted longer other than that I really like the watch. Im glad I went with the black watch with the stainless steel, and the pink wrist band it looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from my Watch 4 classic I am upgrading from a Watch 4 Classic. My Watch 4 Classic battery life was getting very low, so it was time for an upgrade. This Watch 8 Classic is quite a bit more stylish, although I did wish it came in black like my Watch 4. But I have to admit the silver can be made to look more upscale than the black. I have many watchbands I interchange often. I'm not sure yet what I think of the band attachment method of this vs the 20mm quick attach method on the Watch 4 Classic. I think it will be ok, but worry the locking mechanism will wear out with time. The ability to measure my blood pressure is a nice addition. I have a leaky heart valve and checking it so easily is awesome. The OS is the same as my Watch 4, so not a lot to differentiate, other than it is quicker and battery life is very good.

I think there needs to be an option that is smaller and more feminine. I don't need my watch frame to be wider than my wrist. I understand that some like a large face but I use my phone for most of my larger tasks. The watch needs to be more discreet so when I look at the time or get a notification, my wrist doesn't tell everyone who is calling or what the time is. The rest of the watch is fine, like any other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems Problems. The charger cable uses USB-C plug. To charge watch need to own or buy a wall plug that accepts USB-C. That is a nonstandard item, as commonly the wall plug accepts the standard USB-A. I bought watch because I wanted to monitor heart rate for atrial fibrillation. But this does not continuously monitor for afib. You have to go through multiple steps to run ECG for 60 secs, which then states if normal sinus rhythm or not. The watch does not come with any instructions or manual. I had trouble getting through to customer service to obtain any manual. And I haven't found videos to explain how to work it. For example, there are 3 buttons on it. But NO explanation for what the buttons do or are for. Clearly the engineers tried to cram a huge load of features, but with essentially no instructions (except for the occasional brief onscreen prompts). I suspect most watch owners never understand or utilize most of the features. The watch face is way too complicated. There are many many things the watch can do, but access is not obvious nor what each does. Often you end up with a screen that is nothing that you were looking for, and makes no sense. And I had to press buttons hoping it would go back to home screen. I could go on with these comments, but you get the gist.

I was on the fence for a while about the ultra but went with the watch 8 classic. I'm a pro auto detailer, So there would be some removal of the watch during some of my processes . Connectivity is great, size is perfect, no lagging, and a snappy OS. I'm still aclimating to it, but I have no cons to list. Thanks Samsung!!!

The first order the customer service rep sent me, the watch was incorrect, so he had to send another order over. The new order, the watch was correct so i just reviewed that. I did not notice the incorrect band until I recieved my watch. I wanted a medium hybrid band in white, but recieved a small sports band in white. I should have completely checked the order. Other than that I love the watch and the chat option was relatively easy to use.

I have purchased 4 Samsung Watches over the years and never had a single issue with any of them. After conducting research, I purchased screen protectors to aid in resisting scratches. Not even a full two months of owning this watch, the screen cracked on the top right side. Look up the purchase to return the watch for a warranty repair. Filled out he request and returned my Samsung Classic Watch 8, Only to find out that I would be required to pay almost $400.00 for Samsung to replace the screen. I highly recommend not purchasing this watch, unless you have money to throw away. I would like to think that the manufacturer would warranty an item that costs $500.00. Go with a different manufacturer. Samsung does not honor their products. Thumbs down across the board.

I bought this watch after lots of research. I was impressed with its many health offerings. After having the watch for 2 months I have lost 7 pounds easily. I can go at my own pace and it's so easy to use. I am 68 years old and encourage anyone who wants to get in shape GET THIS WATCH!!! Also it's very easy to set up with your phone!! I wish I could customize my watch face like I could in the past and I cannot receive text messages from my Google voice account anymore which I actively use. Other than that, I like the watch a lot.

My phone is on the lowest end of the ringer and i have a lot of miss calls. With the watch now, I see more notifications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The service and product really disappointed me I bought the watch because I always loved the classic series but I started seeing problems like the bezel getting hard to turn and the home button clicking itself and when charging all of a sudden I heard hissing so I decided to send to service since it was still under warranty just to get an email back that the repair are not covered une warranty and the the cost of th watch is 494.70 cents that more then what I paid new and is even more expensive then the top of the line watch ultra at this time very disappointed with this product

It's kinda bulky and the screen is not truly 46 screen either because my 44 screen savers I had left over for my watch 5 fit it perfectly. Also I have not got my redeem code for smart scale either. Battery does ok so far.

I tried everything and nothing is fixing this annoying little problem. But besides this problem i think the watch is awesome!

Previously, I used the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm, a device with which I was extremely satisfied. Trusting in Samsung's consistent innovation and quality, I made the decision to upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. However, I have encountered a design issue that has significantly impacted my user experience. As a fitness coach and athlete, I maintain a demanding lifestyle that frequently includes outdoor activities and training sessions at the beach. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the rotating bezel mechanism of the Watch 8 Classic is highly susceptible to sand accumulation. This causes the bezel to jam and compromises the device's functionality in coastal environments. This is particularly frustrating, as I acquired this smartwatch specifically to reliably monitor my training routines. As a customer who deeply values the performance and durability of my technology, this experience has been disappointing. I currently feel that this model limits my training capabilities rather than enhancing them. My intention is to remain a loyal Samsung customer, which is why I am requesting a review of my case to explore a satisfactory resolution. I would be extremely grateful if you could consider authorizing an exchange for a current 2026 model that features a more sealed design suited for my activities, or alternatively, assisting me in reverting to my previous device, the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Content but not Overwhelmingly Impressed Everything in my opinion as far as funcionality, speed and design is better in my opinion. I put a case on it to protect it. I upgraded from the Watch 6 Classic. I gave it 3 Stars because of the Band and its ability to become more comfotable and interchangeable. My most important Quirk is the Size. 46MM is a downgrade, its already difficult to manage with fingers and touch sometimes, but Universal 46MM without options is an issue, Id rather have a 48-49MM watch at the very Least the same 47mm but, In reality a little bigger is an upgrade, not smaller!!! Other than that my overall experience is great, I'm content with my purchase, the Battery to me is better, or maybe its just the software making the battery last longer. I can say this, Ive earned over 20,000 points with Samsung and because they expire Ive never Used 1 point. Thats a huge fail and disappointment to anyone trying to save points for a purchase they want, vs a purchase forced to buy in order not to lose them.. A wasted point system in my opinion!!! If you agree please Like this post so Samsung can see Im not alone in my Opinion and possibly make changes for the better!!!

The 3,000 nits Super AMOLED display provides incredible brightness in any lighting condition. It looks like a traditional watch bit has all of the bells and whistles of a smart watch, which is what I was looking for. I often get asked if it's a traditional watch. I love that I can track my sleep, my steps, and heart health with this device. I never not have a samsung watch.

The physical spinning dial to navigate menus is a must-have for any wearable at this point for me. The custom classy looking watch faces make this watch feel natural and stylish, I couldn't be happier with my choice!

This is my 2nd wearable and I absolutely choose samsung galaxy watch 8! The new ultra watch is out and if love to have it but gotta make the payments! Its ok im still overly satisfied! I can wait. I think I'll try the ultra watch this time around because I thought id use the spin dial more on the classic. Ill get the ultra next time around. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung is the best I have been using smart watches for several years. Last year I switched to Samsung found it better than the competitors ive used. This year I went for an upgrade. I chose the galaxy 8 classic because I wanted more features and instantly fell in love with it. I feel it is more compatible with all my other apps and is more accurate. I also love all of the watch face options available. As for my old Samsung watch, my wife is currently using it and it works as well as it did from day one. She agrees that its a better product than other brands she has used as well. She loves it so much I will be upgrading hers soon as well. Great product and we both love it.

The watch performs very well in our hot climate, In Arizona, have no issues with it, i recommend this watch to those who live in a hot climate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged, Premium, and Built for Heavy Use The 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra is an excellent smartwatch for anyone who wants Samsung's most rugged and capable wearable. The titanium construction feels extremely solid, and the bold design gives it a premium look that stands out from the standard Galaxy Watch lineup. The display is one of my favorite features. It's bright, sharp, and remains easy to read outdoors, even in direct sunlight. Performance is fast and responsive, and the Quick Button is genuinely useful for launching workouts and frequently used functions. Fitness and health tracking are excellent. Samsung Health brings workouts, GPS, heart rate, sleep, and other wellness information together in an interface that's easy to understand. GPS performance has been reliable, and LTE connectivity means I can leave my phone behind while still having access to calls, messages, music, and navigation. Battery life is another major advantage compared with Samsung's smaller watches. It handles heavy use much better, particularly when using GPS and LTE. Integration with the Galaxy ecosystem is excellent, and switching between my Samsung devices feels seamless. The Ultra is definitely large and won't suit everyone, but that's part of its appeal. If you want a rugged Galaxy Watch with excellent battery life, a great display, LTE, and comprehensive fitness features, the 2025 Watch Ultra is an excellent choice.

I love the heart rate monitor and how it tracks my sleeping. There are so many features that are great and helpful. Some that I still need to try. I like that you get alerts on it and you can even take calls using the Watch. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a smart watch.

It tracks my heart rate, steps even to the weather outside. It is my constant companion. It also keeps track of my sleep and how deep of sleep I may of been in and may not of been in. I'd be lost without it. When I take it off just to charge it I literally feel lost for that brief period. Though not long thank goodness. It doesn't take long to charge and it holds its charge for around 2 days before needing to be fully charged. More if I set it on battery saver. I can control functions on music to my calls to my ear piece thru it so I can be completely hands free from my phone which can be helpful alot at times. Overall my watch is my life and I absolutely love it.

I put a metal band on it to give it even more of a real watch feel and I cannot be happier. It tracks all my sleep, heart rate, breathing per hour, even my skin temperature fluctuations. I'm not a power user so I don't make calls or anything special with it. But having a watch that looks amazing and has all the features of a smart watch is the best of both worlds.

And all the normal things that the watch does, but also to make sure my heart stays in the rhythm. My Reason for only a 3 Star rating is the Battery life just isn't as good as it was when they were running TIZEN, which my first Samsung watch had. I Ordered the same size band as my GW 6 and it was too small. I ended up Cancelling that order as it was easier for me than to have them send me a larger band. Go Figure on that. After that, I just ordered a Titanium band that is magnetic to replace the Samsung Band. I like the bands on the Watch 6 from Samsung better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and horrible watch. This is my 4th Galaxy Watch Classic. It seems heavier and more uncomfortable on my wrist. There is no way I can wear this watch when I sleep. I now have a round soft knot the size of a quarter under my skin on my wrist. It doesn't hurt but is worrisome. The tech on the watch is great, the processor is much faster that my previous Watch 4 Classic and the battery life is a solid 2 days. The screen brightness is great in the direct sunlight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice watch with serious fitness glitches Beautiful, bright display screen. Nice customizations. It's like having my phone on my wrist. Phone calls are clear. Could be more accurate for fitness and health. Step count isn't accurate unless I'm dramatically swinging my arms, especially on stairs, and even then it doesn't usually count stairs. Nice that it has a lot of exercises built in, but heartrate isn't super accurate while working out a lot of the time (measures it lower than it actually is). I love that it has a stress monitor and vascular load tracker. Can also perform EKGs which seem to be accurate. Good sleep insights, but SPO2 has never worked well for me. Antioxidant index is a joke. Running Coach is a nice feature. I like the health insights it offers, but sometimes they're silly (like recommending a bedtime of 2:30pm to 4:30pm). Troubleshooting including factory reset hasn't yielded different results. Samsung wants me to send it in for evaluation, but it's a brand new watch and I feel like the glitches are software-related, not specific to my actual watch, after reading other reviews online. Too expensive to get rid of, but not sure that I'll get a Galaxy next time. Fitbit is more accurate in my opinion, but doesn't have as good or many health insights (unless you pay for premium, which still isn't as good as Samsung Health). Far superior to any Google Pixel watch though!!

This it my 3rd Galaxy Watch Lots to like, but has some bizarre design misses: 1) Screen is smaller. 2) They crippled the watch's Find My Phone function by adding too much friction. I used it all the time, but now, instead of quickly tapping the find icon, then FIND, now we need to go through several steps to get to it. 3) I want a PIN to ONLY to enable Samsung Pay, not to use the watch -- the original Tizen GW only required PIN for Pay. The squircle shape is not a problem all; it looks great!

This galaxy classic 8 feels cheap compared with my old classic still with rotating vasel. Not sure I'll keep it the "black" looks more like a cheap metal and rotating vasel loos out of f place.

I could check my blood sugar. Then after I purchased i asked how? I was then told, i can not!!! Yes i was really upset ?? felt like they just wanted to make a sale. Well that's not the way to do it! Very misleading. That was the only reason I really wanted the watch. Be truthful Samsung. Don't need to lie to customers!! You can do better!!

Biggest complaint is the impromptu activity tracker. It starts tracking after 10 mins of sustained activity (brisk walking or cycling), you can tap the small timer at the bottom of the watch screen to bring up the activity details, but it won't stay and will go back to the clock display. I want to see my HR during activity, even impromptu ones, not the clock. Duh!!

Its not, hiwever,the newest watch features -'whuch are all very good - that take it to the top tier. Its the band. The athleisure band is peefection. What is a perfect band band? It's snug, it's attractice and stylish, and most importantly.- after so many misses - it doesn't cut into your wrist, leave deep marks, and require half or a whole day relief days not wearing your watch to let your wrist recover. This band does all of that. No marks. No deep wrist marks. No perspiration build up. It feels great It locks great. You dont have to wear it too tight. You wear it just right and it treats you just right.

The settings are easy to navigate since it looks like a phone navigation. I only have one tiny complain. Putting straps on the watch is difficult. I have tremors and it makes it extra hard. I still give it five stars because I am super happy with my purchase. Thank you for making such a great device.

Sent it back for repair and it barely lasted 13 hours when I received it back and also was unable to set lte service on the the repaired watch after spending 4.5 hours on the phone with Verizon. Had to send it back again. Currently waiting

It just fits much better and looks great. Very comfortable to wear. A lot more comfortable then the watch 5 pro. Besides that it's obviously faster and all that.

If you have a small wrist the watch is quite large and sometimes you have to move the watch around to find the right spot to measure your sleep, heart rate, etc. However they don't give you the promo code to redeem the 6 month free ifit premium code and when you contact them, they bounce you around from department to department and never provide a resolution.

Many functions like heart rate monitoring and AFib detection, and moving my arm to bring up the display seem much more reliable than the 6. One complaint for marketing: it reads like the watch can detect many things like blood pressure and blood sugar, when it is just that the phone app lets you hand enter the data into the health database.

Sometimes it does not respond to screen touch to open other screens and i have to reboot to fix. Power is as advertised 24-36 hours w/o Always on screen. Not consistent in this action but is common enough to be annoying at times. Charger is odd and you will have to attach it to something to keep it in place, but charges quickly on high speed source. Purchased due to inability to get my S3 Frontier (Tizen) to work with S25 Phone. Not impressed with pricing, Feel it is higher than needed, even after shopping around, but did not want to purchase via a cell service provider. Band is OK, but am considering moving to some other type of material due to sweat. Not at all impressed with the free or paid digital watch faces from any source I have found so far.

Easy setup and integration (disclosure, this is paired with a Galaxy Note 20, so both in the Samsung ecosystem!). The only issue I find annoying is that the watch notifies me about texts before my phone can. I have specific ringtones for specific people. It's the way I can tell what to respond to, and what can wait until later. Most likely that's a setting I have yet to find and modify.

At some point perhaps battery will be more improved. Main complaint is even with eco mode on 3-4 days maximum battery life. With other brands capable of most health monitoring functions yet can run over 10 days before requiring charge. Much left desired there but, the samsung classic 8 is that classy rotating functional bezel with all samsung features band selection is kinda blah luckily lots out there aftermarket wise.

A return for service repaired a "different issue" and returned the watch with the same problem. Software is quite buggy. The most annoying to me is when you finish a workout and you manually enter a distance, instead of saving what you've chosen, it saves a mile less. It's almost impossible to get it near the correct distance. Looks good but garbage product for $500+. Wish I could have my watch 5 pro that I traded in back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this purchase! I had an old Galaxy Watch 3 that I upgraded from. I wanted to Galaxy 8 Classic because I am a huge fan of the rotating bezel I had on my 3. For me this upgrade is substantial for several reasons. The first, the battery life is pretty decent. I can run this for two solid days and I generally spend 60-90 minutes a day in workout mode. I pop it on the charger each night when I shower and it tops off in typically around 40 minutes. Second, I love how crisp the display is, it's very appealing, especially coming from a Galaxy 3. The layout of the tiles makes it easy to navigate and customize. I typically use watch faces to track daily metrics and the amount of information you can have on your watch at a glance has really gone up. On just my watch face I have 11 separate metrics/info available. You start playing around with the "complications", which is what they call the separate information displays and you can pick from, there are close to 50 separate mini information displays you can choose from. In short, I love this watch, especially given that I have been using Samsung phones for the past decade. Good job Samsung!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch. Classy look! Watch is amazing. It has a classic watch look. I selected the tan band, it looks like a standard watch. The watch is very responsive. Display is bright and clear. The health features seem to work very well. The "Stress" level was a bit eye opening!!!! Need to calm down! The battery lasts about two full days with the options I have turned on. If I turn on more sleep detecting options like snore detect, etc. the battery life will drop to less than two days. Conversely, if I turn off a few items I can get about three days out of the watch. I love that the bezel is back! My original Galaxy watches had it and I missed it when it was removed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Step back on the Watch 6 Classic I'm a hugh fan on Samsung products for many years. Extremely disappointed with my new Watch8. It's bucky and the screen size is too small. I went for my typical run and noticed the distance measured was shorter by a good .5 miles. It was a cold day about 28 degrees F, wonder if that had an effect. My old Watch6 was much better in looks, and performance. It was a big mistake in trading in my Watch6. Wish I had more time to evaluate b4 the 15 day trade-in deadline.

The screen on both models is incredibly bright, so even on the sunniest days, you won't have to squint to read your notifications. The overall design is also more comfortable than previous models, which is a big plus if you plan on wearing it to bed for sleep tracking. Speaking of features, the new AI is a game-changer. It feels like you have a true assistant on your wrist, ready to handle tasks without you having to pull out your phone. The health features are also top-notch. The new running coach is a fantastic addition for fitness buffs, and the detailed health tracking, like antioxidant levels, is really impressive. I am very pleased with the product. My Watch 6, from new had a tendency to not charge fully overnight or, frequently overheat during charging. this Watch 8 is leaps ahead. the appearance is elegant. I have it in silver.

So basically in power save mode all the time, and yet dying super quick. I imagine the battery use will be even worse once I figure out some of the features. Super disappointing considering the reviews I've seen.

The chargers are the same, the software settings and information flow are the same, and I love the newer features available on the 8 over the 5. The trade in program also made a compelling reason not to mention the extra discount being a veteran. That, was an added bonus.

What a beautiful watch. It is clean and elegant. I get two days of use on one charge. I did not get a sports band but the material one. I like that a lot. It has been really hard for me to get accurate sleep readings. I think the watch slips when I sleep which might be the band. Also with the watch band that does not open up completely, it is tricky to lay flat for chargine. The screen is amazing and the features are rich. This is a great watch for the average person who wants a watch that works well and looks great.

I'm very satisfied with the battery time over my Watch6. The display is noticeably brighter and sharper. Response time on everything is faster. I had used my watch6 with the Samsaung Wallet to pay with. It didn't always work. With Watch8 any attempt has been immediate.Having no trouble with the screen size. The overall case size is a perfect and comfortable fit and the Hybrid band is very comfortable and has a nice leather finish. I find myself wearing this one all the time and I didn't with the Watch6. I installed the free Analog Classic Watch Face by Luxsank from the Google Play Store and it's the perfect compliment and doesn't have all the little useless geegaws that pretty much all the others I looked at had. It's just a nice standard face with customizeable basic colors.

Like it would be nice to be able to see full WhatsApp picture or videos. Battery also could have lasted longer. And would be great if they could put animated Snoopy or Marvel watch faces. Will finish by saying, I love the hybrid straps.

This is my third Galaxy Watch, and each version continues to improve. The functionality is noticeably better than the previous model, and I appreciate how easy it is to switch between the different colored bands. The app selection is more robust, and I am actively using many of the watch’s features. I look forward to continuing to use and enjoy this watch.

No bloodpressure measurement especiall when there are somany watches out there that can, anddomuch more in the way of medical measurements. Whoes fault FDAor Samsung dragging ius feet. Sleep app has only fully reported once in amonth of wearing. Watch is in Samsung possesion as I was told by Assurion in was sensors and it couldnot replacesemsors. Samsung repair received it today. Missed my return date by a few, or I might not ownit today. Had a $50 smart china watch 2 yrs ago, worked perfectly, blood pressure measurements matched arm unit measurements and it never failed to keep active all night, which this Galaxy 8 Classic has not done. Own Fold 6, Samsung Tablet and have used Samsung phones since Note 4.

I was a little skeptical as I have small wrists and the Watch 8 Classic is bigger than the Watch 6 Classic. This turned out to be no issue at all. The watch is about the same weight, so wear is comfortable. I like that the watch is much better with regards to operation. I love that the new bezel has knurling and more click with rotation. I could not be more happy with my purchase.

Within a few weeks time the metal bezel got a small ding in it and made the rotation of the bezel stick and not function correctly. The materials seem to be of less quality than the previous models. I was wondering if there is anything I could do to get the bezel replaced since it interferes with the basic functions of the watch itself. No, I did not get the extra insurance thinking that the quality of the watch and the metals would at least avoid daily wear. It's disappointing to see that the price of the watch has gone up in the quality of the materials has gone down. Please advise me on what to do to repair this issue.

Even with Silent mode on and all vibration settings disabled, the watch still buzzes on certain notifications and system events. For someone sensitive to haptics, this makes the device unusable, and it’s unacceptable that Samsung ignores its own settings. I contacted tech support, but they were useless.

I am already a fan of the smart watches for health tracking/exercise/etc but this newer format (classic) is much better for everyday wear. I also had a really great experience dealing with Samsung Support and was very pleased with how they treated a loyal customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Burn mark on wrist One morning, I felt a burning sensation on my wrist. I took off my watch and noticed it had overheated, leaving a red bump on my wrist. A thin layer of skin peeled off after a week. My watch wasn't in heavy use at the time. It's the Wi-Fi version, so no LTE. It wasn't just coming off the charger. The screen was off while I did something else. I thought this could be a fluke, so after my wrist was back to normal, I restarted the watch and resumed using the watch. A few days later, I again felt an uncomfortable amount of heat on my wrist. Again, it had overheated while in low use. There's lots to like about the watch, but these two incidents are kind of overriding for me, and I can't recommend this watch because of them. Based on review guidelines, I'll withhold my thoughts here on the Samsung customer service response.

I am very happy wearing this watch, It alerts me and tracks many activities, exercise, sleep, naps, text, etc. I no longer wear my ring as this watch tracks many other things the ring did not. I am pretty impressed with the accuracy of the sleep time and circles tracking. One day I will be able to talk to it and tell it what I have eaten (food/drinks) and it will just input it into the app. It has an EGC and Blood Pressure monitor. The battery last longer so I wear it day and night and when it needs charging it charges pretty fast. I am very happy and I have not reviewed all the options this watch comes with.

Came down from my ultra as I thought the ultra was not getting the new health tracking features (but it actually does SMH) so yeah I have 2 watches. But anyways cons: compared to the ultra the speaker volume is low almost unhearable at times, vibration kinda weak too. Pro: looks good, feels good, battery life with aod on is at least a full day which is good enough for me but my ultra I get almost 2 days and this is with all bells and whistles on on both devices. New lug system is sweet just like in the ultra but doesn't use ultra size bands. Rotating bezels is nice but not so use full and scrolling via screen is faster and bezel turns only go 1 way can't scroll up and down with it so you end up touching screen anyways.

The touch sensitivity is perfect and I was amazed at how well I could use the keyboard. The health features are incredible and fun. The sensors seem accurate. Battery life seems ok. I need more time to judge that but it has lasted all day so that's good. Everything on my phone synced up perfectly with no issues. If you want a watch, go with Samsung Watch 8 Classic. The rotating bezel is such a convenient feature for scrolling or toggling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hardware, Software can use help Not planning on keeping it. The hardware is incredible, as per usual, for Samsung. Feels premium and has a nice weight to it. Plus I am always a fan of spinning bezels. Using this on a non-Samsung smartphone however, is less than an ideal experience. From issues with initially syncing to the device, to widgets/apps not updating unless you manually refresh I think that unless you have a Samsung phone it's better to avoid for the time being

Samsung continues to make improvements and updates to their watch line up and the Galaxy Watch8 Classic 46mm Black WiFi/Bluetooth does not disappoint. New enhanced features and capabilities make the watches useability even better. Battery life is the only place I feel could use some tweaking. It would be great to charge the watch fewer times during the week.

First, the weight: it feels heavier than expected for a daily wearable, and that heft doesn’t translate into a clear benefit. The strap’s design is another weak point — it refuses to stay neatly in its loops, making the watch feel less secure and less refined. Performance-wise, basic apps sometimes lag and don’t deliver the smooth experience you’d expect at this price point. Overall it’s a capable watch, but between the heft, the band issues, and occasional sluggishness, it doesn’t quite earn top marks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Step Up! I traded in my Watch5 for this Watch8 after seeing one on my friend's wrist. Whew! What a huge step up in terms of design and functionality. The screen is brighter and renders the apps much clearer. The health apps and sensors seem to be far more accurate. The speakerphone on the watch is actually usable and not fuzzy with low volume like my last watch. Then the compliments that I get on the style. This is the best smartwatch Samsung has put out and IMO the best smartwatch on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Running workout Error Replaced my Watch 7 with watch 8 classic, I liked the design, features on it, but the Walking, running tracking is very wired compare with Watch 7, It almost half mile behind what i am usually doing while running, Have running on the treadmill for 3 mile but watch shows 2.45 miles for the same timing, I am having this difficulties after with watch 8 classic, have checked the same without treadmill but no changes on the tracking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch 8 Classic is a Classic I was not so sure about the shape before buying, but I am really glad that I decided to give it a try. Having owned other Galaxy Watches before and having changed from the 4 Classic to the 5 Pro, I chose to come back to the Classic as I was missing the rotating bezel. It just makes scrolling through the options much easier. The battery easily withstands 2 full days with AOD. It is a smartwatch that is rugged enough to go to the outdoors and beautiful enough to be used with a suit. Best one ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch 8 clasic This is my first smart watch, I am happy when I chose the clasic 8 because I was looking for a smart watch that has so much technology but not something that says " I am digital smartwatch" and the clasic 8 looks like those old clasic watch but when u touch the screen is a machine of technology, I do not regreat getting this watch, this watch has help me a lot improving my timing to go to bed, and getting a better rest to have energy for my day, steps and so many amazing things that this watch can have done

I have to charge it twice just to make it through 24 hours. ?Performance: It's incredibly slow. Apps freeze constantly, and the screen lag is frustrating for something this expensive. ?The Bezel: The rotating ring feels cheap and "crunchy," and half the time it doesn't even move the menu. ?Tracking: The health sensors are inaccurate. It missed hours of sleep data and gave me weird heart rate readings while I was just sitting down. ?Bottom line: It’s bulky, buggy, and way overpriced. Save your money and skip this version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a good investment I decided to buy myself a Christmas present last December and purchased a watch8 classic. It looks great and is comfortable, but the battery life is horrible. It hasn't even been 6 months and I frequently don't get an whole day of battery life. I am a medium to heavy user, but that is simply not acceptable. For the record, I now use the battery saving options, and I do monitor my sleep. I also workout, but don't sync with the watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Upgrade since Galaxy Watch 3 After deciding that it was time to upgrade, I had to talk myself into giving up my old faithful Galaxy Watch 3. This watch is beautiful! The clarity of the screen and functionality are top notch and there's sooo many more features than I had. Makes me wonder what took me so long. Smooth, easy to get to functions. Smooth graphics and more features than I'll ever use. Quick charging and hold a charge decently between sessions. Good size and weight and a very smooth rotating bezel. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I truly enjoy feature to tap/rotate bezel face. I chose this particular watch because of the versatility. Bio feedback an array of useful data. Two wristbands, a wonderful, 44 inch colorful face to display sleep, wake exercise, vital sign. However my request is that SAMSUNG R&D work on a serum blood sugar assessment tool that reads the values as watch sensors against bare skin while the device is worn. That would be a, life "game changer" for people.
