I upgraded from the Watch7 to the Watch8 just to have updated functionality with the Samsung Health app. This watch does everything I need and allows me to keep up with texts and alerts without having to look at my phone. I definitely recommend if you like smart watches.

Tough for a beginner
Few directions or ways to ask questions...I lost ability to access workouts for a while and still takes me a while. I'll figure it out eventually, but don't think it should be this hard. Also - what's with the battery life?

Great watch
I upgraded from. Galaxy 5 watch to the Galaxy 8. It is a great watch for tracking my day and health. It is much more comfortable to wear than my Galaxy 5, which means I can sleep comfortably with it to track my sleep health etc. It is also slimmer. It’s all around a very nice watch. It wasn’t hard to find and download some apps. I also learned some new things to make it easier to use certain gestures to use the watch. I am very happy with my upgrade!

The watch 8 40mm is a nice size for smaller wrists. All the health features are superior to past watches. The heart monitor and sleep tracking are exceptionally accurate and help you stay healthy. The new antioxidant and vascular load are great additions

I love the new shape! The clip in watch bands are much easier to use but it's unfortunate that previously purchased watch bands no longer fit. The battery life is much better than previous galaxy watches.

Comfortable to wear, lighter than previous versions. The installed apps open quickly, are easy to use, and work reliably. The display is very nice and doesn’t scratch easily. The strap is easy to replace. The battery lasts about 20–24 hours, but it’s worth noting that I move a lot — around 8–10–12 km a day, including running and walking — so it’s in constant, active use.

It fits better, the wrist bands improved but oxygen level measurement is still poor. Most of time you have to repeat to get it done.

I had the Watch 6 for a couple of years and really liked it. When I saw the special on Watch 8, I actually hesitated since the Watch 6 was performing well. But the trade-in opportunity moved me to decide for the Watch 8. And I am so glad! The performance is noticeably superior. It is well worth the switch.

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 for a month now, and overall I’m really impressed with it. The design is sleek, modern, and very comfortable to wear all day. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel bulky, even when I sleep with it on.
The display is beautiful—bright, sharp, and easy to read outdoors. Notifications are clear, and navigating through the menus feels smooth and fast. I haven’t experienced any lag, and apps open quickly.
One of my favorite things is the health and fitness tracking. It tracks heart rate, sleep, stress, and workouts very accurately, and I like how detailed the insights are in the Samsung Health app. The GPS works great for walks and workouts, and it automatically detects activities, which is super convenient.
