Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not IP68 Resistant, Poor Warranty Service I bought the watch 7 to replace my watch 4 late last summer. It worked great, much like my old watch, for a while. Then the sound went out. I trouble shooted and sent it in to Samsung for repair. They identified water damage. I have never come close to meeting the watches water resistance IP68 rating. I've been around and around with Samsung and they keep saying water damage is not covered and the watch is only water resistant. If that is so, then why rate it? Why have a swim mode and lap counter? The warranty clearly states liquid damage is only not covered if conditions are "inconsistant with specifications". Swimming laps is not inconsistant with advertised specifications. This is a manufacturing issue that is not being addressed.

Last time I got a new phone, I tried the big competitor. I couldn't navigate the watch and never liked the app that went with it on the same competitor's current phone. I couldn't wait to get back to my Samsung watch and newest phone! The watch is beautiful, comfortable to wear. Works well with the Samsung apps on my phone. It's easy to navigate to many things on the watch. I had many bands from my past Samsung watchs, with smaller faces. I was thrilled to see that the lugs on my new 44mm watch were 20mm, same as my older watches. So my old bands are new again! .

I have the watch 6 classic and this seems to be as large for some reason, even though 3mm smaller by specs. I would give this watch a 5 star rating, but compared to the classic, I just cannot. However, I do feel this watch is more suitable for working out and watching sleep patterns while the classic is heavier and more for going out, in my opinion. Either way, this watch is very nice and I highly recommend. If you have a smaller wrist, this watch may seem large.

Definitely improved, but the watch should be able to open the more popular apps, and show notifications of chats such as what was said, in different apps. I know this isn't only the watch but a partnership with those apps. But that's what I would like in a future update or new release. Other than that I have no complaints. Samsung watches have came a long way in the past few years.

Watch faces and complications were accessible and helpful. My only criticism is really the watch band connection mechanism. It seems unnecessarily complicated and not very sturdy. Not easy to swap watch bands for people short on patience or who have trouble with fine motor skills.

Being able to switch the bands to color coordinate with my outfit is nice as well.. My only complaint is the battery life doesn't seem to be as good as my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. I can get about a day and a half out of this watch, the other would get me to about 2 and a half days. I still love it though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed Although this watch has many positive features, which I do like, the ones I most wanted to use have disappointed me. For example, the watch has less than two days of battery life. Therefore, it must be removed to be recharged frequently. One of the options I was excited about was to track sleep mode. That is difficult to do unless I remember to recharge it in the evening of the second day before it is time to retire. Another feature is tracking exercise and steps. Sometimes it seems to be accurate in exercise and other times, it is way off. Also, when recording steps, it is not always accurate. For example, one day I went to Costco and checked my watch as I picked up my cart. I walked all over Costco and checked my watch again as I returned my cart after depositing items to my car. It indicated I had only taken 40 steps! I've noticed that if I carry items in my arm with the watch or hold onto a shopping cart, I don't get credit for the steps. In addition, another item is that I don't care for the watch band. Of course, it has to be really tight to register items on the watch; but my arm gets feeling sweaty with this watch band. Also, the actual watch seems a little large for my arm.

I don't miss messages as much and it's easy to reply using my voice... if it works all the time. There's times it won't capture what I am saying and it gets annoying. After exiting and going back in, it would work. I use it for messages mostly and to set timers and alarms and reminders and to pay for things using tap. Overall, I love this watch.

I wish they had kept the ring around the display for cosmetic reasons also wished they had kept the simple analog face available. Found something similar but it is still more cluttered than I would like. Getting used to it.

The battery if used miserly lasts 3 days. The ai, well, its really no different than the 4 from my perspective. The b02 meter is wildly inaccurate. It shows as much as a 10% difference without moving and under 1 minute. Which is disturbing. I have asthma and really wanted this to be great. All in all I am not unhappy with the newer watch but it was only 85$ with the trade in. Samsung only supports devices for 4 years so I kind of had to upgrade.

Not a big fan of the watch only feature when the battery gets really low. You have to press the button to see the time. But other than that is a really nice watch like the fact that it doesn't weight much which makes very easy to sleep with in on your wrist especially if you have nerve pain.

The UI is bigger and more pleasing to look at, and the watch faces are more informative and look a bit better. The battery life is stellar for my usage, I rarely see anything less than 70% after 1 day which makes me more comfortable to use the sleep detection feature.

I read that some people are experience battery issues but I have not noticed any issue. I expect my watch to last the day. I put it on my charger as I get ready for bed and do some reading, and then put it back on to track my sleep. The accuracy of measurements seem to have improved, especially the weight and fat percentage values. They don't fluctuate as much -- that could be the better sensors. I do like the classic with the rotating bezel, but this one feels better without the rotating bezel because it is bigger. It looks nicer with a suit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Health & Fitness Improved Pretty much daily exercise (non competitive) and have had every version of the watch since the Gear S3. I Bike, Run, Weight Training, Cross Training at least 30min a day. I have the S24 Ultra phone. The new sensors and software are definitely an upgrade from 6. GPS is much improved. Heart rate sensor is improved. The heart rate still wanders, but it's much quicker at finding your actual pulse during rest between lifts, high intensity moves, etcetera. So far, it hasn't seemed to wander not finding the actual HR for several minutes. I have had the dreaded no--HR--at--all happen during at least one P90X type workout, but it's happening less frequently for short duration. Energy Score, overnight HRV average, are good additions to rival competition. The AGEs Index might be useful, but doesn't provide a value or feedback. So far, it would seem it's just in line with my age on the scale, telling me I will probably die sooner than later at 50+. :-) Battery is similar. I charge daily, but rarely drops below 50% before recharging unless I go for a long bike ride. With a lot of activity, it would not last two days. New charger is slightly faster than previous charger. We are talking a minute or two faster from my comparison, so minimal. Not a social media person, so the smart watch part is the same as always. Very good for glancing at texts, emails, calendar reminders and can respond with short replies from watch. I haven't noticed these new AI tools with more suggestive replies. I prob don't have something configured correctly. Ref back to my age. :-) With the Samsung trade in program, it's a no brainer to keep the newest one on your wrist! Design and Battery are pretty much the same, so reason for not giving 5 stars for a great upgrade.

It has proven to be quite useful and has exceeded my expectations, given its price point. This is an exceptional device and the best watch I have ever used. I like how it looks on my wrist, the edges, the screen is very bright and it is very necessary when you are outside, the only thing I don't like is the battery... it only lasts me 8 hours, the 'always on display' is consuming a lot and but not more than the 'media playback', when I am at work I have to deactivate the Bluetooth so that it does not discharge quickly. Another thing I didn't like was the 'wireless charger' I can't charge it with my phone and it was something very necessary for those like me who spend a lot of time away from home. But after that it's a great watch.

However, my biggest issue with this is what they've done with Wear OS 5 that no longer supports/allows third party watch faces installation. Man...how greed can this guys be? Are you seriously begging to make some additional profit on faces that costs cents? Killing the face creation community is a shot on your own feet. Not to mention that I just got this one to replace my perfectly working Gear S3 due to the forced obsolescence, once it became unrecognizable from Galaxy S24 lineup on. Other than that, I'm enjoying the watch. I can see huge improvements on health monitoring sensors, compared to initial watches. It's light and confortable to wear. This is the first watch I have that I can sleep with. Hope it lasts (at least until next forced obsolescence).

Also, its measurements do not include smaller ones except 40mm, which is not much of a difference. Otherwise, it would be nice if the charge lasted a little longer.

However, the trade-in incentive was too good to pass up in conjunction with the battery improvement in the 7. Boy, am I glad I upgraded. The transfer from the 6 to the 7 was seamless. It took less than 5 minutes to accomplish. Processing time has been improved enough for it to be obvious in most operations. The clarity of the screen is better as is the battery life. The additions to the watch's capabilities in conjunction with the Samsung Health app are great for an active Senior like me. This remains my favorite piece of personal technology.

I assumed it was the charger, samsung gave me a new charger. Same issue. It's the watch. Watch bettery even dies while sitting on the charger. Now too late to send the watch back. Ordered one for my husband and cancelled order after all my issues.as of this day still have not worn watch. Will try tech support since I cant get my money back. Shame because I traded in a my watch3 that worked like a gem for this piece of junk.

They also will throw out your items when you return and then claim you never sent them. They sent a video where the person clearly threw both watch bands with the packing material on the floor, only picked one of the bands up and claim I only sent 1. Then claims to contact Fed Ex about a perfectly sealed box.

The battery life is very short no matter how you use the watch. The design is uncomfortable because the bottom path is sticking out. The settings get messed up even if you set them up properly. My Samsung Watch 4 classic was much more comfortable and worked much better than this one. Also, the medical functions that are the most important for me are not accurate and even which were approved by FDA always states don't look at the results because they are not intended for diagnoses. So, completely disappointed.

However, the smart switch was not so smart, kept disconnecting and proved to be difficult to pair with wear app when the watch 6 was also paired. Just not as seemless as previous upgrades went.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the upgrade? I had a very hard time deciding if i wanted to keep this or not. I think the only thing that swayed me was the new health tracking. Sadly this is the only upside to this watch. My previous watch was a gear 3. The things i really don't like about this watch are as followed. Aluminum build. this is going to get destroyed very fast. Its very light and doesn't feel like a real watch. No turning bezel. trying to use the screen to navigate is a nightmare 80% of the time it doesn't matter what direction you swipe its going to pull down the settings bar. and probably the worst feature is the power / back buttons have been swapped. now in order to press back you have to put your hand in an awkward position unlike with back being at the top its very comfortable to operate. considering i had my gear 3 sense release the only time i touched the power button was to turn it on why in the world would they make it the most accessible button with no way to swap the functions in settings? blows my mind. that being said features are about the only upgrade but for me i think thats worth it. I will 100% be trading it in next time a bezel and solid stainless construction becomes available that isnt a crappy looking square box. hope this helps some people.

The included apps are very responsive and the new health sensors are very responsive. Unlike my Watch 4, the new sensors do not burn my wrist. The additional promotional watchband for pre-ordering this watch was 1.5 inches longer than the one received with the watch and replacements are not possible. Samsung Customer Service did send me a return label so that I can return the promotional watchband for resale?

The only challenge is using wireless power share to charge it. Also the battery life is not more than 24 hours. Samsung touts the sleep apnea feature of the watch but that cannot be used due to the battery life if you are fitness and Samsung Health user.

But it must need some software tweaking, mine doesn't hold a charge all day with minimal use. Many complaints out there about that. I also miss the real bezel, although the virtual one works well. I put mine in a case to protect the exposed watch face.

The oxygen sensor is now where near accurate and not having the rotating bezel just sucks. It does have some cool new features with the sleep app and the watch is more responsive but for me that doesn't make up for the other short comings and the horrible sensors.

It operated a little different but there's plenty of videos on YouTube to assist in this. It holds a charge for a few days which I don't sleep in mine. Heart rate monitor is pretty accurate

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY POOR BATTERY LIFE and INACCURATE TRACKING I purchased my watch for the features. However I am unable to use all the features of my choice at all times. The battery DIES within 24 hours of usage. Samsungs resolution to this issue is for the customer NOT to use all features all the time. It's very frustrating because that is the reason I purchased the watch to USE ALL of the FEATURES. The other issue I have is the accuracy of steps and pulse. Sometimes the inaccurate information won't update until the next day or after hard reset or update. I am using the tracking to have real time info. I want so bad to LOVE my watch not just tolerate it since I've spent my money on it.

I got a new phone so I wanted to be able to take advantage of all the new features. Tracking of workouts and sleep is even more informative than before. I also love the larger screen (44 mm).

But I feel Samsung seems to be gearing their watches more towards being health addict machines rather than maintaining good watch features. I actually liked the features of the Galaxy 6 better than 7. To Me with Galaxy 7, it's is starting to become clogged with health features and not enough watch features. One can't even use the popular FACER watch face app as with the Galaxy 6. One has to refer to Google Store faces instead which most are not enriched with great watch features.

Operation is smooth and responsive. The sensors are always spot on with measurement of all my activity. The new gestures are useful and I am happy with the new band design and backward compatibility with all of my old bands. This is a great watch that I highly recommend for anyone who wants a quality watch at an accessible price point.

Syncs well with my peloton and fitness apps. Not quite as functional without my phone as I would like compared to my Garmin. But I didn't boost for a data package, so that's kind of on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Battery Life I have to update my review on the galaxy watch7 white . Unfortunately lower. I have had my watch for roughly 3 months. BATTERY LIFE IS HORRIBLE. In order to track my workouts, sleep and just in general I have to charge this watch every day. It lost 20% power overnight while sleeping. I went to sleep after just charging the watch, 6 hours later, even with power saving on. Finding time to charge the watch is frequently inconvenient. Also, the white band has picked up my blue uniform sleeve color in the ribbing. I suggest more colors should be available with initial purchase.

Was anticipating 150 for trade in for prior watch but i guess there is difference between Samsung 4 and Samsung 4 Classic. So got charged 50 bucks making the trade in 100 instead. I dunno. Praying the battery life is better than the last Samsung, but so far, not impressed. Going to check out different watch when it's time again.....

However, the band was way too big for my wrist. I actually had to add extra holes just to get it to fit properly. It would be great if Samsung offered more size options or different band styles, especially something like an elastic or stretch band for smaller wrists. The watch is fantastic overall, but the band design could use a little more flexibility (literally!).
