Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 - aqua black aluminum - smart watch with band is rated 3.50 out of 5 by 138.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade over the Gear S3 Frontier upgraded from s3 frontier and love it. nearly the same features, but looks much better and runs smoother. battery lasts much longer at 2-3 days instead of the s3's 19hrs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU PAY MORE FOR LESS after a few weeks of use i noticed that i was literally charging it every two days! it also does nothing that my fitbit does like track my sleep, send weekly dashboard updates, have a dashboard and health center in the app, and it doesn't nearly track as many steps as my fitbit charge 3 did. on top of that it is very big and bulky and i am constantly afraid i am going to scratch it. i like getting the notifications on the watch but the constant dinging is so annoying. i am very unhappy and would have liked to return it but samsung only allows a 14-day return period! really? most companies have a 30 day policy and want to have satisfied customer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed i have had this watch for 5 months and although it's pretty awesome as far as notifications go, the power management is very poor. they claim it lasts 2 days but recently my watch has been going from 100% to shutting off within hours after charging. i look at my watch and it shows 75% after a few hours, but then minutes later i will get a notification that i have 15% left. within ten minutes of that, it shuts off with 0% left. fyi, support had me send my active 2 back so it is getting looked at by samsung right now. after 5 months! i will not be buying a samsung watch ever again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money this watch is said to be for swimming. what they don't tell you is that exposure to liquids voids the warranty. after only a few months my watch is dead and samsung will only repair it if i pay close to replacement cost. this is the last samsung product i will ever purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smartwatch. Exceeded my expectations really great watch: well designed and built, very functional, high resolution display, truly waterproof, already loaded with most/all apps you need, and plenty of watchfaces and apps to choose from the app store (many free). so many configurations possible to suit your specific likes and needs. having purchased a couple of generic/cheaper watches, and having seen and played with my wife's really good fitbit versa light watch, this watch exceeded my expectations and is leaps above all others. the only thing i can think of to improve would be: - battery life: if you use it to its fullest, the battery will drain in a day or so. i tweaked my preferences and my battery lasts 2 to 3 days - ecg: i am also eagerly awaiting samsung to enable the ecg feature a great product overall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality i purchased 5 watches for my family to go with their samsung phones. after about three months, my son's watch wouldnt come on. i sent it back and they said "water damage" not covered under warranty. a month later my wife's watch wouldn't respond. i sent it back "water damage". they could fix both for $30 more than i paid for each watch. you would think that with so many watches being returned for the same reason they would correct the flaw. the watches weren't submerged in the water so i guess you can't sweat in them. i think they should change the name from "active", because you cant be active while you are wearing them. i think that "water damage" is something they use to keep from replacing the watch. i haven't read many reviews of anyone actually getting their watch fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! i had the samsung gear 3 from 3 years ago, and this watch outdoes the performance from the gear3. the heart rate sensor is very attentive. counting steps is the most accurate i have seen. the battery life is great and i love the water lock feature. i use it when washing dishes at home! i have had 0 issues with this and i'm extremely happy and satisfied with mt purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Smart Watch I've Ever Used i love the look of this watch so much. before this one i had the samsung galaxy watch 46mm but that was too big and i didnt really like how bulky it was so i traded it in for this and im so happy i did! this watch is so comfortable and the battery lasted me one full weekend with 30% left to spare!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it!!! i'm loving it because it works just as my phone. the phone calls, to find my phone that was always a problem, i can text message and i can transfer whats on my phone to my watch. great product! it looks so fancy. i got in in rose gold and it looks beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from App Issues Mar Total Happiness With It the active2 is mostly fine. we don't like the samsung weather app - it rarely updates on its own, won't update on demand & the temp is mostly off by 4+ hrs. the new ecg function is another problem. we looked forward to it! but, to use the active2 ecg app, samsung health monitor demands we set a 2-step verif on our phones. we don't want to do that! we're senior citizens. it's hard enough to single swipe our phones open for rapid use! we can't bumble with 2-step verifs in order to use the active2 ecg app. we want to use that watch app. samsung should add a 2-step verif just for the health monitor app & its data files - not require it for the entire samsung phone's use. that's a real downside to active2 app use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love My Watch i am so happy with my watch...i love the size...i purchased the larger one as i am a large person. it can be customized to reflect your taste and lifestyle. it is user friendly with lots of options. the battery life is excellent and the charger it comes with is convenient to use. the quality of phone call thru watch is excellent...i can not tell the difference nor can the people i am talking to...quality of calls are just as good as my samsung note phone. the watch band is comfortable and made very well...watch stays secure on my arm. highly recommend to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pebble Replacement! until the galaxy watch active 2 came out, there was not a worthwhile contender for my pebble imo. this watch meets all my requirements and even has a touchscreen! i can talk to it, listen to it (couldn't do that with the pebble), control music with it, and do all of the other things i need with it (appointments, texts, phone calls, etc.). i even found a text based watchface (one of my favorites for my pebble). i am very pleased with it so far, and even the battery life has surprised me (i avg. 5 days/chrg, but i don't use any of the fitness/health tracking stuff and i turn off wifi and bluetooth every night). i'd have preferred a stainless steel band instead of the rubber (so i picked one up). i even find bixby quite useful/helpful. nice watch and looks to be an awesome replacement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features ive been a fitbit users for 5 years, and samsung is much better. i love that it tracks more accurate and does not give me steps for sitting at my desk like a fitbit does. i really like the heart rate monitor and the built in gps. the battery life does suck, i get 3 days if i am just using it for daily routines and about 2 days if i am using the gps and exercise tracking. here is a big tip, put it in sleep mode at night and it only uses around 5% battery during the night

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will not connect after to phone i purchased this watch and tried adding it to a new phone after just 4 months of owning it. the watch will not connect to the new phone (or any other phone now). samsung will not accept a return and only repair it. so, i have to mail it back and wait weeks for a return. horrible customer service. i will not purchase another samsung product after purchasing this watch and two s20's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch i have had other fitness trackers, but this has got to be the best watch i have. i love being able to track my workouts, control my cell, and the seamless integration with my note 20 ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable watch, mostly good features the wrist band is comfortable, the watch is attractive, the watch face and watch face options are good. the syncing to my phone works well. the fitness tracking is mostly good, but sometimes the screens jump around and the tracking is off, for example when swimming laps, or taking a break from swimming and just walking in the pool between laps. i was disappointed that i need to jump through app hoops to get a blood pressure measurement. i found adding apps and widgets a challenge but that may be because i am not a young wiz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch but big miss on Battery Life i was torn to give 1 star given functionality & design are great (i have lte version). battery life killed it for me. if i'm lucky i get 6-8 hours. can't even track my sleep since it doesn't last a full day. i truly regret not returning it. went back to my fitbit. now let me tell the great: -lte functionality is great. when my hands are full (most times) i just answer on the phone. don't mind paying the extra $10 for lte -the watch design & variety of e-skins are awesome. i love them. option to customize them is also great (steps, date, etc.) -i couldn't care less for wireless charging. i actually prefer to plug; quick, relieable & no need to wait to confirm is charging. also, most electronics are usb-c now. i would like to leverage my usb-c charges around the house to plug my watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my Apple Watch! i really love this watch! from how customizable the faces are, to how it just works without having to download special watch apps, i could not be more impressed. its also loads more comfortable on my larger wrist than the apple watch ever was, no painful pressure points or too-tight straps. a+ in my book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Service not only did i purchase this watch i also purchased the galaxy fold 2 phone. when placing the order i was eligible for the military discount. once i hit submit the military discount was gone. i contacted samsung and they were not willing in any was to apply the military discount. they were in no way helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great daily companion and watch! i think this watch is great. just as good as the apple watch in my opinion. the screen is nice looking and sharp. i'm not a runner but i wanted something that looked nice and would help motivate me to workout more. this watch does that. it encourages me to stand up and move and you can select the type of work out you are doing (other than running) and it'll track that. for example, i do hiit videos and it tracked my heartrate, approximate calories burned, etc. i also like how the watch looks. the round shape looks classy and not overly tech-y. i feel like you could wear this in any occasion. i didnt feel that way with other wrist devices from other manufacturers. thanks for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Water Resistant keep your watch as far away as you can from water as it it not intended for swimming as advertised. mine stoppped working and when i sent it to samsung for repair i was told the warranty was void because it was exposed to water. The repair cost is even more than the price of a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks nice, but the durability suck! the paint chips very easily. if you get water damage its not covered under warranty. i suggest not swimming or showering with the thing (which is 2 big reason i.got the watch ) had mine for under a year. if you want something that can handle everyday usage and can handle water from swimming, have a great speaker, and can function even with getting banged against things on everyday use. i do not recommend this watch!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible quality screen messed up after one time swimming in a normal swimming pool. when i sent the watch to get repaired they said it was out of warranty due to water damage. i have always been a loyal samsung customer but i will be switching all my products to apple from here on out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not reliable got this in 2019 sep. used few months and then due to covid, stayed home the entire 2020 (worked from home and when going out for groceries, i usually left it home). today i found that this 'barely used' watch's screen is coming off!! i never dropped it nor used it aggressively. the bottom screen is detaching from the body and i can see glue holding the screen. i've been using galaxy watch for few years and the reason i switched to this was because my old galaxy watch simply died (lost power suddenly) after 2yrs without any reason. samsung told me to throw it away because it's out of shelf product. now this watch is detaching its own screen about 5 months out of initial 1 year warranty, very disappointed as samsung-fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is great, but the battery life. everything about this watch is smooth. from the way it looks, the way it function. everything works fine. the only con is the battery, i can go from the start of my day to the next morning with only 50%, but unfortunately the other 50% percent don't last a day...more like 4hrs....don't get it. so i have to charge the watch daily cause it won't last couple of days like advertised

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's great when it actually works bought it jan 20 by feb 4 it gave the first rebooting screen on its own. it restarted and was good until 1 week later when it started the rebooting loop of death. it powered off then rebooted then all over again for abt 2 hrs. contacted support who said reset w the phone app. it worked. march same thing but worse. besides rebooting loop it started major ghosting. nothing on the screen responded to touch. i left it off for 3 days. after that many features wouldn't work and still doesn't work in july! i can't scroll the apps, opens them up instead. i can't type text msgs, parts of the screen are dead to touch. 2 days ago it started rebooting and ghosting and no touch works. so basically a regular watch. if you get 1 that works like mine did for 1 month, its a terrific watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good upgrade i upgraded from the galaxy watch. it's a good upgrade. functions better and the battery is great (depending on what you have the settings on and what you use it for). only gave it 4 stars because the color options suck as usual. i would have preferred a true black or silver. i hate the blueish tint on the black one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for 4 months -Warranty VOIDED bought this in april 2020 with $200 credit i received for trading my phone for the new samsung galaxt s20 ultra. worked great until until i decided to try the swimming feature on it, it stopped working. sent it in to get it repaired since it has a 1 year warranty. was later told water damage voids the warranty and told to pay the repair costs which were 95% of the retail price of the watch! i do not recommend, will stop working in water and warranty will be voided. ridiculous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not purchase! i switched from fitbit to samsung hoping for a more full featured exercise watch. it does have more capabilities, but it never synced as well with strava as my fitbit. i put up with it as the watch was overall nice. fast forward about 10 months into ownership. the screen stopped respodning appropriately and started having ghost touches. it was unusable. i sent it in for warranty repair and they said it was not covered due to "water damage". this is a device that is supposed to be able to be taken into the water to swim. what a disingenous warranty. i never had a fitbit fail in under a year and my last one was working great after 2 years. congrats samsung, you've lost a customer for a lifetime. if you don't support your product i don't support you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Active2 is not water resistant as marketed purchased in july 2020. in august 2020, heart rate sensor cover fell off. this is a common issue for these watches. samsung boards has multiple people complaining about this issue, and samsung refusing to repair without charge claiming water damage. this is a design defect. the glue does not last in heat and moisture. this is a watch marketed for heavy exercise use, and does not hold up to heat and moisture. it is not water resistant as marketed. it does not even resist sweat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's ok, but I miss my Fitbit when my fitbit died i "upgraded" to samsung for the smart watch capabilites. i chose this model because advert said i can track my swimming. what i like: the band, specifically how it is secured- the variety of bands for purchase for more formal occasions-the find phone feature. love it- the variety of watch faces and the ability to change it instantly. what i don't like: you can only choose 4 types of automatic workouts to store and there is nothing comparable to a zumba workout- apparently from looking at other reviews, i will not be able to swim with this- it does not transfer my stats to my weight watchers app (or any app aside from the samsung ones)-2 day battery life- it does not correctly keep track of stairs - it will pause while i'm walking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Band size WAY TO BIG! the band is way to big for women with smaller wrists with about 1 in of space between my wrist and the watch. the website provides no specifications of actual band size other than the 20mm width to fit into the watch. i was informed samsung doesn't offer any smaller band size and i would have to purchase another band else where. if the price we are paying for the watch includes the band that comes with it, as a future suggestion to samsung they should offer different band sizes that comes with the watch as they did in the past with their fit watches. or have the watch sold individually allowing different size bands to be purchased after so we are not spending money on a band that we will never use. unfortunately i will have to return the watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed. i bought the watch active 2 to replace my gear fit2. i expected, based on advertising and reviews, to get an upgraded watch, especially in regard to the fitness aspects. the heart rate monitor while obviously not professional grade is worse than the gear fit2. it will stop monitoring during a workout. workout tracking will just randomly shut down. the calorie counting is also way off by several hundred calories. plus the promised ecg has not been added to the watch. restarting or resetting the watch over the last few months have not helped. the smart watch part itself works but this watch was advertised as a fitness/active watch and it doesn't hold up to previous models and promises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for everyday use, i can't leave without it. all the trackers work great but need improvement. the battery life is okay but takes a little over 2 hours to charge. i have had this watch for a year now and i love it. the galaxy store has a large selection of faces. works amazing with s20 plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Watch but Needs More Work i enjoy this watch, its features, and the ease of connecting to my android phone, however; i expect heart rate features to be available in real-time on the watch face. currently, i have to request this manually. additionally, i would like to see more exercise options or be able to input my own. furthermore, the buttons have a tendency to get pressed during weight training exercises thus stopping and restarting the timer and stats. this is a huge turn-off as well as the text capabilities. this watch is constructed better than my fitbit ionic but would benefit from some of its features. overall, a great watch for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the was this watch interacts with my phone. this watch has faces i like. the pulse and health features are fun. it did freeze on me and get stuck on battery saver mode. i tried everything they tell you to do, nothing kept going back. that and how the battery doesn't last as long as the galaxy watch 1 are why i'm taking a star off. i since learned how to fix it by going and factory resetting it. i like the ui. i just wish you could connect it to a computer or tablet with usb or something. i hate how on google there's tons of free apps and on the samsung watch store every app that is worth something even apps that should have been included are at least $2.99. kind of annoying but other than that i love this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly positive with a few drawbacks when i ordered the watch the specifications said it could measure blood pressure, but that app has now yet been released. some notifications ring a chime but never show up on the screen to tell you what it was and if you happen to get into a multiple person text list it chimes once for each member it's sending a reply (a bit aggravating). bluetooth interference from nearby devices can cause erratic effects as well. i do like the majority of the functions and can't wait for the blood pressure app. after reading other reviews i don't plan on getting the watch wet if i can help it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mediocre pros: slim, water-proof, answering text and phone calls, longer battery life than apple watch and the fitness capabilities made me wanted to purchase this watch asap so i pre-order it as soon as it came out. it was the first real competitor to apple watch that can be used also on android platform. cons: during shower, the water drops acts like finger touches on the screen. that triggered in my case an alarm to be set on the phone even if the alarm app was uninstalled battery should be bigger and they should remove the wireless charging that is very slow and add a direct charge port. (3 hours to charge) quick answer text list can't be synced successfully with the gear app on the phone it requires you to install to many applications migrating to iphone was a pain weak chat support

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Watch but it doesn't last long. I love the features of this watch. The ability to take calls, short messages, etc and the vivid colors. However, they say you should be able to wear it for up to 50 meters, claim it's water resistant. I wasn't in the pool for 5 minutes and had been it on water lock mode. The screen went Black, I immediately took it off, dried it, got home and dried it again and the back sensor fell off! Now it will not cut on! I have never dropped this watch and take very good care of it, and it was a mother's day gift. They want me to pay 75 to send it in for repairs but I've heard horror stories requesting additional money to fix because of liquid damage which shouldn't be an issue for a water resistant watch. You spend over 200 bucks and only get 14 months out of it? No thank you. So I'm not sure I'll ever buy one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only good while it lasts. used it religiously. loved it for the most part but only while it lasts. i had issues with it twice. it kept resetting so i had to do a complete factory reset about 6 months of owning. now it completely died on me today. will not charge, turn on or do a thing. it lasted just long enough to to go out of warranty. for the price i expected much longer lasting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware please be aware that even if you live in the u.s. if you have an international samsung phone the ecg feature will not work. that is straight from tech support. i have a samsung s10e that was made for international usage i can not use the ecg feature living in the u.s. so if you are looking for this feature really make sure you have a us made phone. the rest of the features are ok, can over count steps compared to fitbit but i knew that from an older samsung watch but the main reason why i got this one was for the ecg and i am not in the market for a new phone yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, not so great experience the watch is great on certain apps but does not work with other apps. one app keeps freezing and ended up uninstalling it. the particular app is why i really ordered the watch. battery life is good many watch faces hopefully updates will create a better experience with the product on a side note: ordered this together with the buds. the buds were not working and then returned the order. second order the watch was not working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Standard Band Size - Do not fit smaller wrists I am a long time samsung user of various products. Unlike previous versions of Galaxy watch, this version only ship with standard size bands. which do not fit all wrist sizes (especially smaller than 6"). When asked before purchase I was told it has bands that fit all sizes which turned out to be a lie. When reached out to customer service, I am told right away to return if it do not fit. Bad experience!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good smart watch, not a great fitness watch works well enough as a smart watch for calls, text, etc. spotify is terrible on this watch. i frequently have it tell me i have no songs downloaded. you have to re-start the watch to fix it. really disappointed in the fitness functionality. i use it for running and the first mile distance and pace is wrong about 80% of the time. even after turning on the gps 10 minutes before my run it misses the first 2/10s (consistently this distance) of the mile even after starting a run manually. ignoring the first mile issues, it will quit in the middle of a run with no warning. this is also at a consistent point in the run: 1.3 miles in. no warning. nothing until you get ready to hear your second mile pace and it never gives you your splits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEWARE! Sensor cover will fall off. great watch until the back sensor cover falls off. then you send it in to get it replaced a few months after buying it. you're within warranty so they glue it back on. guess what? 3 months later it falls off again! for an "active" watch, it has shoddy craftsmanship and poor product quality. i have never swam or gotten water on it and it doesn't matter. the back will fall off. don't waste your time with this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch but lacks lot of important stuff Watch looks good, nicely built and good for physical fitness stuff. Downside, It doesn't work with whatsapp. It does show up whatsapp text notification, but it doesn't work with whatsapp call. Most of my calls are through whatsapp, so basically I can't pick the call nor I get any notification about the call. For regular users this is very important feature which is missing in this watch which am very upset about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch Out Now! I've been using Samsung for over 10 years now. I have plenty of their phones, watches, televisions in the past. I would totally recommend Samsung to anyone who was inquiring about there products. I love the new galaxy watch. I previously had the galaxy sport before I received this one. I love the design it is real sleek and not bulky like the previous models. The only thing I wish was better is the battery life. Granted, I do use it very often but charging it every other day is a hassle. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars, that battery-life needs some improvement!

However, finding specific watch faces is surprisingly hard. Been trying to find the flower watch faces in Samsung's marketing photos (gold and silver watches have them in press photos) and I cannot find them, anyone know what they're call?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features, Good Connection to Galaxy S9 I pre-ordered and got the free battery pack which is awesome. Size & Comfort - I got the 44mm in Cloud Silver - the original band is great and comfortable, but I opted for a beautiful silver magnetic band as replacement. I have very small wrist, but I love how the larger size looks. Watch Face - I wish there were more options to customize the watch faces, but I I did find one I like. Notifictions - This connects like a dream to my Galaxy S9 and I love the notification options. I get calls, texts, and important location notifications perfectly as I wish. Samsung Health - I started looking into Samsung Health because I was so in love with the Fitbit application I was worried, but it is great and gives me all the data I need. I do think the sleep data is even better! And workout detection is excellent. Why I got it - I had struggled for over a year with my Fitbit Versa. The notifications from the phone never worked, I had FIVE replacements in that time and finally got payout from SquareTrade to pay for this awesome tracker/smartwatch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good but lacking i originally bought this for the ecg feature that samsung originally advertised this watch would have. it never happened. i also wanted and active style smart watch so i could wear it in the pool and this watch is rated ip68 . however samsungs warranty now states that the watch should not be used in water and they will not honor the warranty if it is damaged by any moisture. so what's the point. i returned the watch. on the plus side it was a nice size and very comfortable. the display was excellent and readable in direct sunlight. it did a good job of tracking my steps, pulse, and sleep. it did a lot of things right, but missed the mark on the "active" name. i will buy another if it has ecg and i can swim with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst ever product from Samsung samsung active 2 watch is one of the worst products from samsung. samsung claims, this watch as a water resistant but with a mere sweating during jogging caused water damage to the watch. even if my watch is in warranty they are asking me to pay 200+ for the damage which i didn't cause. if the active gear can not be used for active exercises then what is the use of buying a 300$ product. customer care is a worst experience. these guys are not even capable of talking in proper english. they just claim that service center deciding that water damage is caused and can not be repaired even if the product is in warranty. don't buy any active gear products from samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this watch! I bought this a few weeks ago and I don't regret spending the money. I wanted something that will help me be more active and also track the miles I ride on my bike. This does all that and more. It tracks your heart rate through the day without you asking it to measure it, it has different exercises you can do and counts off the reps for you, and a wide range of watch faces. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Quality and Waranty Service Bought this watch in January 2020 for almost $300 new. Watch band breaks in February 2020. It is now May 2020 and I have been sent 5 incorrect watch bands to replace the one that broke. After many phone calls, chats, and emails i keep getting the wrong band sent. I even sent a picture from this website of the one I'm supposed to get replaced and continue to get the incorrect band sent. The last 3 times I was sent the same band which was gray when I'm supposed to get the black sports band. Once I was even sent a leather band. After 3 months of this I'm about sick of dealing with Samsung waranty that I'm ready to get rid of the watch and buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Android Compatible Smart Watch I have had this watch for about a month, bought on a Black Friday special. There was a quick learning curve, I've learned to love it. I have the Pixel XL 2, I was misinformed that Samsung watches work best with Samsung phones, but a co-worker, another Pixel user, got one and raved about it, I had to have one too. So count that rumor busted. The battery life is phenomenal, the accuracy of the fitness tracker and heart rate monitor is very good. I am still learning new things about this watch, certainly the do not disturb function is wonderful, as I've never worn a watch to bed, but the sleep monitor is pretty darn nice too... I surely can acknowledge I need to work on getting more sleep... Now, if there was one thing I would change, and probably will change, is the watch band. The under tuck of the band flap is annoying and uncomfortable. I am glad the band is fit with the easy on, easy off clasp (kudos Samsung) but if it is comfortable, it gets to be too tight, with extended wear. If I wear it too loose, it is too loose and slides all over. That being aside, I would buy this watch again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MST Missing - a big disappointment Not gonna buy this Galaxy Watch Active2. Short Reason - NO MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) Long Reason - I own a Gear S3, bought in 2017, was really impressed with style, battery life. Features were limited but enough at that point of time. The real fun part of owning this S3 Version is constantly surprising the retail store cashiers where those card swiping machines are old and don't have the modern NFC tech, compatible with Android pay and Apply pay. When you get ready to pay with your S3 watch, they start saying "THESE DOESN'T WORK HERE, THEY ARE NOT THE MODERN TECH ONES" and before they could finish saying that, the payment goes through and they'll be like " I DIDN'T KNOW THAT, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'M SEEING THIS GOING THROUGH" and I liked those surprises on their faces and that's where I proudly reply "THIS IS SAMSUNG PAY AND ONLY SAMSUNG CAN DO IT". I did try Galaxy active2 for a few days and I won't be able say that with the new Samsung watches including Galaxy Watch Active2 and Android Wear now supports more apps with more features. Only Gear S3 watches has this tech, so I'm holding on to this old watch. Once my Gear S3 Frontier is obsolete, I might go for Android Wear Watch unless Samsung comes back with MSD in their new watch this year.

I have Bluetooth version and for some reason it looses its connection from time to time if my phone is in my pocket or if I leave the phone in another room so I am not sure about that so for that reason I can't give it 5 stars but other then that seems like a pretty good watch.............

Turned off wifi. Bluetooth. Deleted spotify. Turned off automatic updates. Nothing helps the battery last more than 3 hours. Nothing! I've called. I've spoken the several people, from sprint tech, to Samsung support. No one knows why this is happening. Nothing helps. I am truly disappointed in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! But there is a wish list First of all I love my GWA2, I came from the Gear Fit and obviously there is a huge difference in form and functionality. That being said there are some things to get used too as well as changes/additions I would like to see Samsung do. First and foremost is the ECG feature, this is a promised feature along with fall detection and neither have been activated. The other is more google integration, I understand it runs on Tizen but Google's "Wear OS" seems smoother than Tizen to add on to that Samsung is still holding on to Bixby being a viable smart assistant, it's not. Bixby is horrible on the galaxy phones and it's 10x worse on the GWA2. Please, please, please removed Bixby and replace it with the Google assistant. Other than those issues the watch looks great, is comfortable and light on the wrist and incorporates very will with the galaxy platform. It has a very decent speaker for taking calls or even watching YouTube videos on and reply to texts are a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its, um, fine, but cedes function to fashion read my email on a round screen? grrr. swimming--works. it will even automatically record it after a while, so i recommend manually putting in swim mode and manually recording your swim. if you swim in salt water or surf, you absolutely must put it in swim mode to avoid severe software errors and watch damage. cycling & running--does not work as stand-alone device (no gps). i recommend manually recording your exercise. you can export to mapmyrun or strava. so, that part's super cool. physical dial--i never wanted one and don't miss it. you can take phone calls on it, and it works fine for that.

It has a fancy heart rate monitor, but there is no software feature to exercise within specific hear rate zones with a vibration alert for the low and high setpoints of those hear rate zones. It seems like a basic training feature that should be on all smartwatches with a heart rate monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch but buggy I was using the the galaxy S3 Frontier before this. I loved that one. I saw that this had the ECG feature, and thought it would be cool. When I got it, i found out that the ECG feature is not approved by the FDA, so it is unavailable. On the other hand, the watch is very buggy. It randomly starts vibrating and switching screens, like a ghost it rotating the touch dial. This goes on for minutes, then stops. I had high expectations for this. I was never let down by a Samsung product before. This is a first. I hope they fix this. But for now, this will be the last watch I pre-ordered. I will wait for the reviews. I like how you can change the bands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't like it The phone is great and has a lot of cool stuff, but the battery life is bad and the pictures are bad, when you zoom in you see pixel dots. My j7 aura kept charge for 2 days plus and with the note 10 plus I have to charge daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected from reviews I read! I decided to buy myself a little Christmas gift while it was on sale. I currently have the Gear S3 Frontier, but decided to upgrade to the Active 2 44mm. I received the watch 5 days ago, charged it and set it up as soon as I could. I was very pleased with the size of the watch and the way it looked! The operating system runs much smoother than my Frontier did, and felt much lighter and less bulky on my wrist. Reviews I read stated they felt the battery life was not as great as the frontier. I completely disagree! I believe it is better than the Frontier! I wear my watch to sleep, and wear it out of the house whenever I'm out (I do go out often, and for many hours at a time). After 2 days of use, my battery goes from 100% to about 50-60%. This is insane, since my frontier would typically be dead by the end of the 2nd day of use. I am in love! If you're thinking of upgrading, do it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't get wet i bought this watch to keep track of my heartrate because i have a condition that causes my heartrate to bounce to extremes often. what i wasn't told until the watch started glitching, and the lcd screen randomly responded without being touched, and i sent it in for a repair was that you are supposed to turn on the water lock feature (which when you first get the watch only tells you that it makes it less touch responsive). they claim this feature does something inside the watch to protect the motherboard and internals. so they void the warranty and charge you more than the cost of the watch to repair it. i loved everything else about the watch, but i'm not happy that washing my hands made it so sensitive to "water damage" when the repair order says os failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of Warranty I purchased my Active 2 watch about 7 months ago. It comes with a one year warranty, but it's very difficult to find what that warranty is for. One would think it covers manufacturer defects. While the watch has worked well since I received it, today the center of the watch back came off! It was like it was attached with double stick tape. I immediately stuck it back on and contacted Samsung's warranty group. I was told to send it in for repair, but it would be at my cost since the warranty doesn't cover "damage" to the watch. I explained that I didn't consider the back falling off damage, but a manufacturer defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch i've always wanted a smartwatch. i wanted to track my sleeping to gain some insight on how i sleep since i have been using cpap therapy for about 4 years. i find the sleep data interesting and am starting to see sleep patterns that correlate to good and bad sleep. i'm pleased with the sleep tracking. i have enjoyed messaging with my watch while my phone is charging. i have made a few calls with the watch and the quality is fine so long as there isn't a lot of background noise. i haven't gotten in to the fitness aspect of the watch but i plan to. i have some knowledge of it thanks to owning a galaxy phone and using fitness on it in the past. i like the watch. i am interested in ecg and blood pressure monitoring which hasn't released state side yet. i do hope we'll get those features soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ALEXA on your Galaxcy Active 2 ?? YES you Can!! This new Galaxy Active 2 watch does it all!! I’m not a fitness fanatic, so I will not comment on the accuracy of the calorie count or heart rate monitor. I'm happy to know my daily steps taken, be reminded to move when I've been sitting too long at my computer, know my ticker is still tick’n, and receive kudos when I've reached my daily goal. First of all this is a stunning piece of technology, very sleek, and looks great on any wrist. I replaced the pale pink silicone band with a slim black leather one so it looks very sharp and professional. The Pink Gold color keeps the watch looking slim, not bulky (although the Aqua Black was intriguing), and blends well with most skin tones. I chose the 44mm for better battery life - yes, I get 3 days between charges. I also like the larger screen for easier interaction with the touch screen, which by the way is very clear, bright and easy to see even in sunlight! LOVE LOVE LOVE, that I can receive and respond to texts and calls. I have found that the 30 foot maximum distance to my phone requirement is actually conservative, my phone has been further away from me than that and I still receive texts and calls. I work in a showroom where I cannot have my phone with me; I can now react immediately when I'm contacted. For texting, I can use voice to text and even edit my response after I have spoken it using my voice again or hand writing on the screen. There are endless emojis I can reply with and I can send and receive texted images. I can ANSWER THE WATCH, if my phone rings. There is a mic and a speaker on the Active 2, and the voice clarity is perfect. I can also reject a call right from my watch and send a text back instead, like letting the caller know that I'll call them back in a bit. The Galaxy Active 2 also gives you detailed quality of sleep feedback. It does a great job breaking down time spent in REM vs the other sleep phases. And with the ability to fully charge in about 2 hours, every 3 days, you can absolutely wear the watch to bed every night to benefit from that useful information. The watch is completely customize-able. You can choose what notifications you want to receive on your watch and how (vibration, sound, or both). With the Do Not Disturb feature, you can also schedule hours at night that you won’t receive any notifications at all. You can arrange the widgets in any order, add and subtract Apps, and navigate by scrolling between them or use the digital haptic bezel. The digital bezel adds a bit of class to the watch and works flawlessly. It's responsive and brings back that rotating functionality that the first Galaxy Active lacked. I have uninstalled the Apps I did not find useful to conserve battery life and added a couple, including Alexa. YES, ALEXA!! I added the Alexa App, called "Talk to Alexa" In the companion "Galaxy Wearable" App. You can find it in the App section: Discover>Top Watch Apps>Categories>Lifestyle>Top Paid. I can ask Alexa to answer questions, things that I would typically Google on my phone, in addition to finding out the weather, set timers, and control my smart home, RIGHT FROM MY WRIST! I have tested various requests using my Active 2 vs asking Alexa in my home. The responses were identical. The first photo below is of Alexa ready to listen, and you can program her to launch when you double tap the Home button. This is an amazing Smart Watch, get it, you won't be sorry. Now complete with Alexa, this is a perfect alternative to an Apple Smart Watch if you are an Android/Samsung phone user... I have been using it since the day of its release and it is a fun watch to use and a wonderful companion. Click below if you found my review helpful. I purchased this watch at full price and was not compensated for my review…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I swapped from being a long time fitbit user to getting the active 2. I opted to get the 44mm watch face and I honestly don't regret it. At first it was interesting to get used to after having a fitbit versa but I really enjoy the larger screen. I also really enjoy how interactive the watch can be. One of my favorite features to use is Good Night mode for bed time. I also really like that i can respond to my Message+ text's. Generally I get anywhere between 2 and a half days to 3 our of my watch unless I am frequently messing with it or using it for workouts. I am not super thrilled about how short the charging cable itself is, but I just hook it up to my laptop or find a spare charging block to plug it into. Charging isn't THAT fast (about 2+ hours to fully charge from about 10%) but that is also because I don't have any charging blocks (even samsung ones) that match the charging block requirements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch only comes with one strap size Previous models of galaxy watch come with 2 straps to choose from. Active 2 only come with 1 size. So if you have a small wrist but want the 44mm watch face, too bad! Cause Samsung doesnt care if it doesnt fit, customor service cant even help with the situation. Their only solution was to return the 44mm watch and purchase the 40mm watch. Samsung website doesnt even sell the smaller strap, what a joke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch but disconnects frequently i loved this watch for the first few weeks i had it. now, it is constantly vibrating saying that i've disconnected from my phone, sometimes when they are on my nightstand right next to each other. i bought the watch strictly to be able to leave my actual phone up on my fireplace mantle out of the reach of my 4 and 2 year old but still be able to get texts and phone calls. the fitness tracker does not work very accurately. the flights of stairs tracker never gives any data.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stair Count not working the active 2 watch has been working great ----except---- the stair count function is not working. checked the web for fixes, nothing except the usual nonsense from samsung to reset everything, even though there there were dozens of messages from users who tried this with no result. so now whether to send the watch back to samsung while it is still under warranty and hope that glitch is unique to my watch and not something that samsung has not gotten around to fixing in the software. very frustrating!!!
