Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I never knew I needed I previously had the s6 lite and loved it. Unfortunately I dropped it and shattered the screen. As I was already considering the s8 ultra, I figured that was my sign. I love almost everything about it. The size is my only drawback, making it a bit less portable than I was used to and needed. But I have gotten used to it quickly. I am always on the go, it moves with me pretty flawlessly, it connects automatically to my phones Hotspot. The picture display is absolutely gorgeous. The split screen capability and processing speed is great for multitasking and getting things done quickly. I just love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with S Pen I have had this product now for about a month. I got rid of my HP Omen laptop for this laptop/tablet. It works flawlessly and it's really is huge and worth every penny I spent on it. Plus the S Pen is also a real game changer. Compliments my samsung galaxy products very well pretty much mirrors my phone screen. I would give this a 9 out of 10 would recommend to anyone.

Had to return it as first off they couldn't get me the $350 trade in credit after being a customer for so long. And the screen wouldn't recognize the S pen when using it in the Samsung Notetaking App. Had so many good expectations for this tablet. And am super disappointed. Even more upset that the trade in I had, Samsung had lost the case and S pen for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected Suprise I ordered this tablet to replace my TabS7, and as a senior at the University of Louisville BA Biochem major, I primarily use it for taking notes and organizing information for my classes; I did not realize I was ordering the ultra, and although it is much larger than I am comfortable with it has become quite useful as a stand-in laptop, its comparable in capabilities to my current one and is much more efficient in the both it's handling and capabilities compared to my laptop. The slim, lightweight design makes it more convenient to carry with me, and its software capabilities leave nothing to be desired (at least in its use as a laptop) It provides all of the luxury of a laptop with the added convenience of easy handling and functional transition from tablet to laptop. However, it is no replacement for a personal tablet which functions as a notebook and document database. I much prefer the smaller and sleeker design you get in the standard-size device, which allows for an effective and powerful alternative to notebooks and textbooks. I will definitely have to invest in a more tablet-like tablet. Still, the ultra gives the option of a tablet and laptop in one without sacrificing the functionality of either. If you are looking for something that is like an all-in-one, this is the perfect device if easy handling and subtle are your goal, this is not the tablet for you; it could offer those qualities as an alternative to a traditional laptop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay Away - Failed after 14 months. I purchased this product 14 months ago, and it worked great until the screen failed. It is extremely expensive to repair. Tech support said it was in perfect condition, however suggested just throwing it out an buying a new one because that would be cheaper. It's very convenient for Samsung for these failures to happen just outside of warranty, and they have refused at this point to acknowledge any defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glorified hardware with poor software I bought Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra yesterday after considering about it for a few months now. I have been using both iPad and different android tablets for 10+ years. 10 years back, my major disappointment was many apps still worked only in mobile mode in android which defeats the purpose of buying a tablet. After 10 years, nothing much as changed. The apps that I frequently use such as Twitter, Slack and Proton Mail to name a few still display only in mobile mode. I had to create chrome shortcuts to use them in Desktop/Tablet mode. I wonder why I should spend 1000 dollars for this gloried piece of hardware. I wonder if I should have gone with iPad Pro. I hope that Google and Samsung will take note of this. No wonder the machine is so powerful and the display is so great but at the end of the day, it is only as good as the software it is running on.

The only complaint or question I have is samsung going to give this amazing device carrier asebility? That is the only draw back to this beautiful device. Please samsung look into making this Device sim card capable. This will make this device the leading tablet in the industry. In my opinion this will make the tab s8 ultra hands down a 5 star product.

Being able to switch between dex and tablet mode allows for multitasking especially for people looking for productivity. The screen is amazing for movies and shows and the plus is the right size for portability. A must but.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing This thing is a powerhouse! It is capable to replacing your PC/Laptop (to a certain degree when you add a keyboard to it). It's multitasking capability is incredible. Split screen in it's massive screen is so easy and cool. It's perfect to content consumption, colors pop and black is reaaaaally black, it's amazing all around. Only downside is that is WAY too expensive for the same processor you will get in a Galaxy S22. If you compare it to iPad Pro and their M1/M2 processors, its ridiculously unfair of a comparison. Considering the price point, it should come AT LEAST with a cover (like it is done on the S6 series)

I could use Facebook it didn't scale to the app correctly and freezed and crashed all the time .. that was ready the main reason I brought it.. I send it back .. but I like youtube . It has made my job easy when it comes to doing assignments. You can open as many tabs as you need. Another one would be the PENUP app. Omg it takes away my anxiety coz I just click on the app take my s pen and color any drawing I want and it just relaxing for me. I love my tablet so much and it’s like a mini flat screen I use it to watch movies and show. Wait! Not to mention Samsung has Samsung tv plus app for free! I watch any shows, sports and news anytime and anywhere. This galaxy tab s8 ultra is next level yall. Y’all should definitely check it out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away by this tablet, selling my Surface Pro The size and price of this tablet kept me from buying in for a long time. My Tab S3 was just too slow to be usable for keeping notes at work. I have always used the Note series phones and have been a long time Surface Pro user as well. I love my Surface Pro; but due to security restrictions, I can't use it to access my work documents. That combination led me to take advantage of a work discount and the trade-in offer for the Ultra. It has absolutely shocked me how well it works itself into my workflow. On top of replacing my Surface Pro, DEX is everything I hoped a mobile OS would become. Lightweight, fast, and the screen on this thing is astonishing. It just checks every box for me. I always leaned toward the 8"-10" screen size for a tablet because I didn't want to carry around a huge tablet in addition to my laptop, but the Ultra is so thin, it isn't a big deal - I also carry a backpack around more often due to the nature of my job, which makes it a non-issue. I don't usually post reviews, but I have been so impressed by this tablet I felt obligated to share my experience so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is all about screen.. I had tab s7+ which i traded for S8 ultra. I also have latest generation iPad Pro 12.9. In my opinion S8 ultra has better screen than iPad. I love watching YouTube and movies on it. Speakers are very good on both S8 and iPad. Where ipad shines is magic keyboard and apps. Samsungs keyboard is good for working on desk only you can not use it on you lap. I pad magic keyboard you can use anywhere you want. Also trackpad gesture’s on ipad are way better and more responsive. Most of the apps for ipad are made for it so apps are fit properly on ipad screen. Allot of android apps are not optimized for big screen or not available at all on tablets “signal” for example. Overall S8 ultra is a very good tablet that needs more love from app developers and better keyboard design.

Battery lasts surprisingly long on performance mode, I always manage to get everything I need done on a daily basis and it integrates seamlessly with my Note 22 ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, huge tablet, with a few minor quibbles. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite over a year ago to use for displaying sheet music in the groups in which I play. I also used it for checking email and reading news, but nothing particularly taxing on the system. However, I found the the 10.4" screen a little small for viewing my music. I noticed that Samsung was running a promotion with an enhanced trade in value for my tablet that would allow me to trade in my old tablet on this for at least as much as I paid for it, so I decided to go for it. So far I find it well worth the upgrade. The screen on this thing is huge. This helps me display my music at almost the same size as the printed music. I say almost the same size, because the 16:10 aspect ratio means that the width has to be a little narrower than the actual pages, meaning I have to display it a little shorter too, to be able to maintain the aspect ratio of the printed pages. I understand that this aspect ratio works much better than a wider screen would have for using it in landscape mode, especially for things like watching media or gaming. Still, this is the first tablet that allows me to feel comfortable leaving the sheet music at home. The display is crisp and bright and page turns are instantaneous. My other minor complaint is the S pen location. Having the S pen on the back to charge is inconvenient, especially without a case. It falls off far too easily. I find it imperative to have a case of some sort that has something to hold the S pen in place on the back. However, even though the keyboard case for this does have that, it's too expensive, especially since I almost never have a need for a full keyboard. These are minor issues with a tablet that has a huge, clear, sharp display and great performance, at least for anything I'm likely to do with it.

It took some getting use to be normal with the larger size, but it is great for the digital art that I use it for. It is a massive tablet with a beautiful screen but doesn't feel to big in the hands or uncomfortable to use for a long time because it's so light and thin. Even my wife who doesn't like the bigger phones has no issues using it. The UI is just like using your Samsung phone the the size makes it feel like a laptop, really the best of both worlds.

With the S8 Ultra, I got a large and beautiful screen that works great as second monitor. The facial recognition unlock is good while the on screen finger print unlock works fine though a little bit slower than the S7 on the button.

I use this tablet everyday for work and it is exactly what I need for everyday and has pretty much replaced my laptop which is even better but it's portable. I can carry it in my hand with the case I have while I do my work with the S Pen and write notes about different wines, because I'm a Wine Specialist. I also use this for gaming as well. Using steam link, I can play any of my steam games with absolutely no problem. It's awesome!

I has no complaints and had I written this two months ago it would have gotten five stars. The cable that comes with it is usb-c to usb-c, which I don't have an AC adapter for. So I used my phone charger until I could get my hands on the appropriate charger block. Now it doesn't charge. If I plug it in, it will flash the green charge ring and immediately stop charging. It takes 15 hours to charge (IF I can actually get it to charge that long. Spoiler Alert: it charged for 6 hours and now I cant get it over 46%) I've tried different cables, different blocks, I even got the usb-c block and tried the cable that came with it. Nothing works. It's nothing more than a paperweight right now. A waste of money.

Never thought at my age I would have to learn an entire new system but well worth it. Bluetooth connects much faster than any other device I have yet to try. I have them all so speak from experience

If you are considering an iPad pro or a Surface pro AND you are an avid lover of Android OS then this tablet is for you. Having used the Surface pro line tablets I always felt they were lacking in the tablet department. They function greatest laptops but if the intention is to buy a tablet like device then you would expect that type of work style. In that case I would rather go for a Windows laptop instead of a surface. Now for the iPads, these tablets are great and are optimized quite well but if you are not in the Apple ecosystem you may find yourself having to obtain additional accessories to allow you to fully take advantage of all that Apple has to offer. Additionally you may be losing some key note apps that you love from the Google Play store. All this to say this is where the S8 Ultra triumphs. This tablet now gives you a large screen real estate to allow you to engage in full productivity. Not only do you get access to the apps you love from the Google Play store you also get a desktop like experience via Samsung Dex which is something that you cannot find on the iPad. You will love the colors that Samsung has beautifully mastered and you will want to do all your work with this tablet. If you have the extra cash and are thinking about getting the S8, as a plus or this tablet this one will definitely blow your mind.

The pen has dang near 0 latency so you can just get your ideas on the page no bs. Its crazy coming from my tab s4 to this. I cant even look at that piece of trash anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mind Blowing! I had a Tab S 7+ which I really liked and was hesitant to buy this "large" screen tablet. But oh my, what a tablet! The picture is unbeatable and the sound is crazy good. I use my tablet for teaching 3 days a month and when I have time I watch streaming shows on it. It's simply amazing. Don't care to go to the movies anymore. Have the sound and picture I need.

The S pen is a nice touch. I have yet to deep dive into everything it offers but I am a loyal samsung customer. I haven't been disappointed with their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Android Tablet! This is an awesome Android Tablet and easily one of the best tablets I've ever used. The 14.6" display on this tablet is killer. My only grip is that I wish it were brighter at only 420 nits. If you're worried about the notch, don't be it's hardly noticeable. The overall performance of this tablet is great and Samsung Dex takes everything to next level. While not a direct laptop replacement this tablet is certainly close. Media consumption, web browsing, emails, are really good on the Tab S8 Ultra. I would highly recommend the keyboard case and I personally think it's worth going for one of the higher storage models to get more RAM. This device is also great as a second screen for your PC. Overall I'm very impressed with the Tab S8 Ultra and can easily say its one of the best tablets I've every used. If you're part of the Samsung ecosystem or on Android this is a no brainer.

I am a university student at UIC, and I am able to do everything my laptop used to do but even better. Note taking is awesome on this tablet since there's no lag at all, and the screen size helps me have multiple windows open without feeling too clusterd. DEX on this device is awesome!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive Screen for Productivity! I replaced my Tab S7+ with this, and I'm definitely not disappointed. The big screen is absolutely beautiful. The battery life has been a perk that I didn't even expect. The SPen is great, but my favorite accessory is the Backlit Keyboard Case. I hardly ever use my Windows Laptop anymore, and if I need to for something, I just remote into it on the S8 Ultra. I have no complaints about this tablet.

I have enjoyed writing and drawing with it so much. Taking up digital art creation is easy with this! I'm excited to see more productivity apps being released for this tablet in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a masterpiece. I've had this tablet a little over a week now and I was a little worried about the size to be honest but those fears have all gone away. It is a massive tablet with a beautiful screen but doesn't feel to big in the hands or uncomfortable to use for a long time because it's so light and thin. Even my wife who doesn't like the bigger phones has no issues using it. The UI is just like using a phone but the the size makes it feel like a laptop, really the best of both worlds.

The pen function is amazing, coupled with the perfect size for multi-window multi-tasking.... fast, intuitive, and loaded with functions for connectivity to TV, computer, projector.... Great sound... decent camera, and depending on your cellular service (the only downside) it can be used interchangeably as your phone! Absolutely my favourite tablet of any I've ever used or seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible screen and company I have gone from the Tab S6 to the Tab S7+, and now to the Tab S8 Ultra. I have been more than satisfied with every Samsung tablet I have used. The Tab S6 to S7+ was a huge upgrade, but when the S8 Ultra was released I was more hesitant to upgrade since the performance scores were somewhat similar. I finally made the choice to preorder the S8 Ultra and I do not regret it at all. The display is almost unreal, and I haven't used my standard PC for the entire time I've had this tablet. The products from Samsung never disappoint, and also the customer support/trade-in services are remarkable. 10/10 recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tablet I have been buying iPads specifically the pro model since Apple launched the pro line up in 2015. I was very impressed with everything introduced until 2022. The iPad pro 6th generation was a a very big let down. Apple doesn't innovative and is usually late the party regarding new features. This year I decided to try the samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra. The huge 14 inch screen and admittedly oled technology made me the jump. Overall coming from iPadOS to Android was very easy for me, and I love how very customizable android is. I'm very glad I purchased the tab s8 ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GoPro Hero 10 NOT COMPATIBLE. NOT SUPPORTED. I baught this a month ago to edit GoPro and it's Not Compatible with the GoPro 10. The resolution is also poor compared with my Samsung A50 phone. It's slow to boot up but the sound is great quality.
