I use my tablet for many different things from typing out estimates to creating spread sheet, also playing many different games Call of Duty mobile is great of it. I stream Netflix and many other apps the screen size is great for watching YouTube and scrolling thru socials. My kids also play on the app with there amazing parental control feature I don't have to constantly check and make sure they what they are doing is age appropriate. It's definitely a great tablet to own and I highly recommend it.

I use my S22 ultra as my daily driver for all the tasks, calls, messaging, email. Best part is gaiming, no ther phn is as good as Samsung when it comes to gaming, especially the screen is amazing.
I use my Tab S8 for the productivity, emails, editing, gaming and work calls. Great camera positioning for my zoom calls.
Buds 2 pro are my fav ear phones when it comes to sound and noise cancelation. Best part is everything can be controlled through the buds.
Lastly, I love my Galaxy Book 3 laptop for seamless connectivity with rest of the accessories and powerful enough to run my coding tasks.
Overalls, the best eco system to go for.

Galaxy Tab S8: a blend of power and portable
After owning the Galaxy Tab S8 for over a year i am delighted to share this tablet exceeded my expectations! First, the display is stunning! As an avid comic book reader and movie streamer the displays clarity & vividness enhance every aspect! Although I was worried about the size (this model being the smallest) my fears were quickly pushed out of the way. The aluminum body allows for easy travel (lightweight) and the sleek design is a wow factor! My coworkers who are Apple product lifers are repeatedly complementing my S8. As an artist the S pen integration enhances the S8 versatility, from note taking to person digital art project. Great Tablet and Value!
I love my Tab S8! I use it for writing my schedule, crafting with my Cricut, gaming, digital media, and digital art.
The Tab S8 exceeded my expectations in so many ways! I was on the fence between the Plus and Ultra models, especially because it was during a sale, but I'm glad I saved some money.
The Tab S8 has a beautiful screen, included S Pen, seamless integration with my S22 Ultra, 6 month free trial of Clip Studio, option for expanded storage, some good tablet cameras, a fingerprint sensor, and unlimited customization.
I got it for $500 on sale and I couldn't be happier. If you've been on the fence about getting a tablet, take the plunge and get the Tab S8!

Consider this device when you might buy a foldable
I was originally in the market for a fold device, thinking it would be nice to have a device that would do everything. In truth, having a pocketable s22 and a separate device that very easily connects to my phone was just a better option. After purchasing keyboard and connecting a mouse this device makes it powerful combination for me to use for work. It also gives me a place to offload some of my work photos nice because I need to keep them. My one gripe os browser based copy and paste which doesn't work in some places that works in Windows based browsers. No regrets in my purchase though.

It's cool occasionally I'll draw on it it works great for that and when I'm not drawing I'll just use it as a media device in my bed and that's pretty cool It's not as big as the other tabs in this series but that's probably fine in my case since I don't need a comically large slab of metal for anything I do

I had a galaxy tab A8, but it just wasn't fast enough or bright enough for me. So I decided to trade up to the S8. Wow.
I have literally used my new tablet every day since I got it. It's very bright and responsive with great resolution. Add the included s-pen and easy connection and sharing with my phone and earbids and I am completely sold on this tablet!

Consistency is key
This is my second Samsung tablet. My first lasted for 8 years, and technically didn't die, just couldn't keep a good charge anymore. After a year with another company, I went back to Samsung and felt like I was back home with the great navigation and intuitive functions the other did not possess.

I feel the galaxy s series 8 to 10 are the highest tier of electronics throughout all brands. I buy second hand and refurbished because they don't make them anymore. I would love to continue to be in the galaxy family and try the newest generation but I don't want to part with my s8! It is still fast and reliable

I love to play games on my PC and I found myself minimizing the game to look something up...how did I not know how much easier play would be with a second screen? Stay in the game, look up content, data, even if the soundtrack has dropped and where!
My S8 is every thing i needed in a compact fork that can sit easily on my computer desk.

Love this tablet
This is great for all my movies, reading,photo editing and drawing apps. Finding a case is important to keep it looking great. The sound is great too with 4 speakers it can be loud. Using the Tablet as a second screen is very cool although the font size is smaller. My Samsung Buds sound great and connect easily. With the Ui 5.1 qnd Android 13 this Tablet has a lot of features to customize till your hearts content. ??

My tablet is great for watching Netflix, YouTube, etc. when I'm out of the house but want a screen bigger than my phone.

Powerful Tablet
I wanted to get a tablet that I could use for games, work lunch-time videos, and occasional browsing/word processing.
I have been very impressed with this tablet. The size is perfect. I almost went for either of the other two larger sizes and I think they would be too big for holding long periods of time.
I was worried about the screen being an LCD panel and not OLED but I do not notice when it is on. Only really notice when it powers up and there is the high contrast between the logo and the black background.
I love the multi tasking that you can do on the tablet. It is similar to Android phones having multi window but the larger screen, in my opinion, actually makes it viable.
The S-Pen is great and I almost always choose to use it over my finger so that I do not have to move my hand as much and have greater visibility when playing games.
I also love that Samsung Dex uses the tablet screen as the PC live display interface. That essentially turns this tablet into a laptop. Only thing I wish was there in Dex was a better way to resize windows and exit full screen when an app is watching for similar inputs. Makes it hard to move things around sometimes.
Very happy with my purchase. Worth every penny.

A Great Tablet & Better Than I Expected
I have had multiple iPhone and iPad, including the iPad Pro 11". When I got the Tab S8, it was actually an upgrade.from the Tab S7, and I was surprised by how much I love both Samsung tablets. I actually find myself always reaching for the Tab S8, and almost never for the iPad these days. While the iPad may have a bigger app selection, all of the apps that I need are either available on the Tab S8, or an equivalent alternative is.
However, DEX is a real game changer. It really let's the tablet act as a laptop replacement. It is easy, intuitive, and reliable. Ms Office is available. Mouse and tracpad support are just like a laptop. It just works great.
As for the hardware, It is beautiful. The build quality is outstanding. The design is striking. And the screen is gorgeous. As someone who has had multiple iPads, I never thought I would prefer an android tablet. But I do like the Tab S8 better than the iPad.

All around everyday use tablet
I am disabled and spend tge majority of my time online. Streaming, gaming, video chat, and social media are my main uses and my S8 has been the best investment I could make. I fully intend on upgrading when the time comes but as well as this has performed over the last year, I doubt will need to anytime soon. When that day comes I will definitely get another Samsung.

As a freelance artist, this tablet has everything i need, the S Pen works just as if not better then the apple pencil. And when i'm not using it for work it's perfect to take around with me for media consumption. It's light, snappy and still holds up well after using it for a year, highly recommend.

When it first released, it took a long time to get this tablet, but since I arrived it, I must say it has worked almost flawlessly. The flaws are more so software related in some instances and they're third party. Samsung should continue to promote and ensure that when new versions of apps are released that those that especially benefit from a large screen such as for watching movies and drawing are made to work right away on the latest Android version for tablets. In terms of Samsung's own software, there is little to complain about. From split screen features, to S Pen use and the innovative Bixby Routines, pretty much everything works quite well. The screen is right up there where Samsung is in a category of its own with the Super Amoled type display. As a owner of a couple other premium devices from competitors, unless my device needs recharging, pretty much all my media consumption is done on the Tab S8 Ultra. Same when it comes to mobile productivity. Being able to use three apps at once, in addition to having others floating can be very useful. From watching informative videos, taking notes using Samsung Notes and if need be to use the calculator as part of it, it can all be done seemlessly. The SPen is included and is clearly an integral part of the experience. I use it all the time, there are so many uses for it. The nib is perfect for writing and drawing. Interestingly although I use it every day the equivalent of a few pages worth of writing daily.

Great tablet for the power user
I originally bought the Tab A8 as my tablet, but soon outgrew its capabilities. In my search for a replacement, I looked at the S8, and pulled the trigger on a purchase. Was glad I did, not only was it marginally more expensive than my A8, it was more bang for buck. More storage and more power for not much more, and it's light! Would definitely suggest for anyone doing more than web surfing.

Streaming classes & music are my top uses; but reading & viewing photographs is right up there! Very nice 'little touches' like the moveable pattern area enhance security- minimizing screen dirt fm giving away dirt build-up of security pattern on the screen… Which i a great screen, clear, super color, & fast refresh.
I also really like the fingerprint button on top of the power button; & how it allows fast, more secure wake up of the screen.
The only drawback is that my password 'safe' app's fingerprint 'open' feature doesn't work, although on other Samsung devices it does.

Awesome Tools for Productivity
I love the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. I also have the 8+ and the 8 Ultra. I use the S8 to do reading and browsing late when I'm just relaxing. It's the right size and does not get in the way of anything (like forgetting it's there when you fall asleep). The same can be said for the 8+. The 8+ can double as a mini computer if you feel like you want to keep your laptop at home. The feel of both are great. I like that you have the option to add expandable memory (SD card). The 8 Ultra was bigger than I imagined it being and I took a chance and kept it. I now use it as a second monitor. The visuals are epic. Like I said before it is not the typical size of a tablet. It is great to use to double as an actual laptop in a crunch and the same with the other 8 series all are great investments with speed, memory and reliability.

Perfect for Uni/Work/Play
I use my Tab S8 for almost everything that I do. I use it as an ebook and note taker for uni, for teaching little kids and grading papers, and of course gaming... I use it so much in a day that I am able to burn through the batter by mid day, which is telling of his great battery life since my old Samsung tablet, the S6 couldn't even reach half my day's work load... That and everything else I threw at this thing, it handled it like a champ and kept on going.
Despite being so thin, it is quite durable. I dropped mine from a decent height into hardwood floor and tile multiple times (no case/skin/screen protector) and tossed into a backpack everyday; and outside of a few chips and scratches from the metal back, it is still working like nothing happened. Maybe my drops are just lucky or maybe the internal weight distribution makes it handles drops better, who knows, but this thing is a tank.

I really like this tablet. I use it to check emails, do business, & watch movies. It's fast, no drag, very responsive. It's just the right size. Unlike the ultra, it doesn't feel like I'm walking around with my laptop. The only thing, I wish it came with a cover that holds the pen, which is an awesome tool by the way. With the amount of money it is, it could at least come with a cheap one. Leave it up to the customer to get what works for them.

When i watch Youtube the sound is very real, feel like theater.
The pen is very useful for me to sign a contract, that my computer can't. It also has a reminder when i careless drop the pen, and pen charging status.
It has an option to attach keyboard and connect wireless mouse to use as computer.
The only thing i don't like is the brightness automatic dim when i turn off my room's light.

Really good tablet for students
Tablet is good for student tasks. Screen is 120hz so its smoother to do writing with the pencil. It is working fast and without major bags. Screen is good enough for comfortable using at daytime but I wish they put mini-led on the new one. Play store lacks professional apps for android tablets.

Honestly I was having a hard time choosing between this and another tablet. But the freedom of the S8's OS and platform won me over!
I take a lot of notes on a weekly basis, and I wanted something that I could hand-write with. Samsung notes, of course and the S-Pen had me covered there. However, I had discovered that on my Tab S7 I could also use handwriting input on the keyboard anywhere I wanted, and it would convert my handwriting into type. This was a game changer for me since, I sometimes like typing my notes for better organization, better referencing, and also better shareability. So now I can choose between 100% handwritten notes and also handwriting my notes but into text format WITHOUT A KEYBOARD!
When I searched for this capability on other tablets, I saw that they were not allowed to be used this way. Right then and there, I made my decision to buy the S8.
The device has been wonderful, has never stuttered on me, it's always been able to handle the multitasking I need. I was afraid that the LCD screen might be hard to get used to, but it's a complete non-issue and I actually appreciate the easier daytime visibility. Gaming is a smooth dream, the audio is amazing, the Smart view is so easy to use, and I love that I can use the Tab as a second screen with my PC setup. Not to mention, the battery lasts as long as I need it to.
I love that this tablet gives me freedom without sacrificing functionality. 10/10, I always recommend to friends and fam.

Everything I need in a tablet
I use my Tab S8 primarily for school and work. I am a music student, so I am always needing to read and annotate music. Using my Tab S8 to do my homework has been not only simple, but superior to traditional pencil on paper. I download what I need to download since it syncs with my Microsoft and Google accounts directly in the Files app, then do my work using the S Pen, and then send my now-completed work in. I also use the tablet to teach private music lessons, and having the ability to have my tuning and metronome apps in floating windows is a great convenience to me. This device has been an invaluable tool for me and honestly makes my life easier. Not to mention the battery life is great, the display is bright and fast, and the thing can do practically anything you throw at it in terms of processing power. Overall, the Tab S8 has been an absolute grand slam of a purchase for me.

To me, this is a CCC product. Let me explain.
It is Comfortable to use, it fits into my hand, on my desk, and in my lap with no issues,
It is Compact enough to fit into my purse, yet big enough to see everything clearly.
It is very Convenient. I can easily take it with me where ever I go, be it shopping, outside to enjoy coffee, or in the kitchen to follow recipes.
I purchased this Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 for the sole purpose of learning digital planning, but I have also found that it is very useful for other tasks as well.
I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially if you are just starting out, because it is so easy to navigate, learn, and works great for a multitude of different things.

I use my tablet to take notes for school. It is very convient because it is lightweight and syncs effortlessly withmy phone.the tablet is very responsive to handwriting and there are many note taking apps available.
The only con is it occasionally gets hot and that causes my apps to not respond correctly.
I also really like the softness of the pen nib, but it wears down quickly.

I love my Samsung S8 tablet for multitasking! It's incredibly easy to put two apps side by side and just start multitasking! I've used it for checking off a shopping list while shopping online, keeping an eye on important messages while using my work app, and searching up references for what I'm writing a paper on.
The screen is fantastic, and battery life is great. I also really enjoy using the S-Pen, it makes nearly every facet of using the tablet even better.
Overall I enjoy this tablet a lot, and plan to use it for years to come.

I bought the tablet as a gift for my mom, a retired graphic designer, when I saw her struggling with her old (not so much) 2020 laptop. I love this little thing. I literally use it everyday. I would use my IPad every now and then. Too slow, limited in use, it was a big IPhone that couldn't make calls. I can use the DEX mode on my s8 to type files and complete applications for work and for school which is upcoming. The design of this tablet is right out of Westworld, and the free content on Samsung TV app is a welcome treat.

I love my Samsung Galaxy S8 Tab! The sound quality and how loud it is for the size of the speakers is amazing! I didn't think it would be as loud as it is and I love it! I have also had little to no issues with it slowing down when I have 10 or more apps open. Also the picture quality it pretty nice as well along with the resolution of the pictures, only thing I dislike about the cameras is how the front camera is along the side of the tablet and not at the top like my phone so it throws me off when I use the tablet for video chat. ?? Oh and one other thing that I dislike is the placement of the stylus. I have lost mine due to falling off the back at some point, I even bought a case that was suppose to help keep it in place, but we see how well that worked out. ?? Other than that it's an amazing product! I would recommend it I just advise you to find a case that will actually hold it in place. ??

I needed a tablet specifically for note taking, mainly handwritten, for business.
Tab S8 is great! Perfect shape ratio, amazing integration with the S pen (which works great with my S21Ultra, too!)
And what about the rest?
Great for multimedia: 4 speakers are very good for movies and music...for movies you will probably miss an Amoled display...yes, this is basically the only flaw of this great tablet...but not a game stopper, this LCD is still very good!
Battery life is good... unfortunately handwriting for 5-6 hour per day is a battery killer, but I can do at least 1.5 days of heavy work with a battery run.
Very good tablet, suggested for everyone!

Solid Compromise
I purchased this to use for streaming & podcasts as well as handling things I'd typically do on a PC that are just too difficult to do on a smart phone. Ideally what I'd really like is a true phablet, so I could just dump the phone & do almost everything on a tablet & when that's possible, I'll upgrade to a tablet with more memory, but for it's present use as more of an infotainment device, the basic S8 doesn't a great job & has plenty of speed.
The feature I LOVE, that you may have guessed, is the tablet's ability to link to my phone so that I CAN use the tablet to make calls & text! While it's not ideal, due to being wifi, it's an excellent compromise for the time being.
The con is the screen. Even with the eye comfort shield, the screen is very harsh. Idk if most people will notice, but I mention this for others with light sensitivity. Likewise, the audio is also harsh and because this is a common problem with samsung devices, perhaps they need to add special controls so that people can fine tune their devices, as the things that presently come stock aren't sufficient. Users shouldn't need to outside shop in app stores for the basics.
Overall I think this tablet is a very good fit, and while I prefer the idea of a true phablet, the Z Fold is still 2 small & the s pen can't be used on the top screen, so for now the S8 along with an S23 make a really great combo!

Great tablet
This is a great tablet. I have had this model for about 8 months now after upgrading from the s7. The newer updates to the software have heavily improved the tablet experience without needing to use dex mode. With the keyboard cover or even just a Bluetooth key board dex mode is an amazing experience that feels a lot like windows 10. This tablet is much easier and more comfortable to carry than a laptop so for most general computing tasks I have used this tablet instead of a computer. When it comes to gaming this thing can handle just about anything you can find on the playstore plus a wide range of emulation. I also have luma fusion for video editing which has decent optimization and a really solid interface, 1080p video editing works great and even 4k functions fairly well. When it comes to general needs (school, social media, content consumption, and entertainment) this tablet is enough I'd say to replace a laptop. The added s pen is a great experience as well. Drawing and taking notes for me has been a great experience and a lot of fun. I personally have been very happy with this tablet and would recommend it.

I got this tablet originally to only read and highlight pdf ( I already have a surface laptop but needed something smaller specifically for reading). However, once I realized the connectivity advantages I could get when using it along my phone and laptop on apps like notes it has quickly replaced most of my folders and notebooks that I would usually take to class.
I got the basic option because like I previously mentioned I only intended to use it for reading, so I can't expand on how comfortable it is for typing or trying to edit a pdf. But, I will say that this little tab has made my work/school life a lot more easier (organizing wise)

Excellent Tablet / only one downside
I mostly use it for note taking, web, and occasional YouTube watching.
Pluses:
- Love the refresh rate @120
- screen size is almost to big for me, but nice
- pen is great and with my paper feel screen protector, it mostly feels like paper when you write on it
- battery life is excellent as well. I'm not a heavy user, about 30 mins to 2 hours and it last 5 to 7 days before needing a recharge.
Cons:
- LCD screen instead of AMOLED... Battery life would be even better if AMOLED

Gaming response is very fast. Not lag. Colors are magnificent. I watch movies and my favorite series daily. The magnet keeps the s pen where it needs to be. It also works great. I got this tablet mostly for reading and streaming. This tablet is very light weight so it feels comfortable when holding it. I didn't really think I would enjoy using for streaming but surprisingly it's really good. The s pen and s pen app are really nice. I had used the apple pen but the s pen feels like an actually pencil and is easier to write with. I plan to tackle drawing with it after getting inspiration from the s pen app.

I use my Samsung Galaxy Tab s8 for everything from streaming movies and TV shows to doodling and writing poetry.
My s8 is my first tablet ever. I didn't know why I was getting it or what for really, but I just felt like it was time, that I'd held out long enough without a tablet. At first, I hardly touched it because it was just one more thing, like, my phone is big enough for youtube and if I wanted something bigger, just skip to my laptop/TV.
But then I started using my tablet, to draw, to take notes (handwritten and typed with the keyboard cover), play games like slay the spire. Download movies n shows and take it with me on planes and just for everyday use.
It has, admittedly annoyingly, become a very useful multifunctional on-the-go device for me. M work, my hobbies, and my schooling all have a place through my Galaxy Tab S8. The S-Pen is lovely, marking up PDFs or doodling on a sketch up, using the tablet for wellness apps like yoga, watching videos and movies, even reading E-Books (when absolutely necessary because I love the feeling of paper).

Great tablet for work support
I bought the Galaxy Tab S8 to help me at work. I use it a lot for taking notes in meetings and then have them with me on my phone or tablet whenever I need them. This is a huge win...
It's also great when I am on site with a customer to easily look at excel reports, word docs or even refer back to my notes.
Battery life is great, pen stylus feel is quick and natural, screen is very bright in outdoor setting.
Many people have commented on the Tab S8 and I'm sure have purchased one for themselves. It just a great tool for work and it saves me time while making me quicker.
PS... I do use it to stream music and TV at home especially on the deck.

Amazing job site Device
I use my S8 as a laptop replacement. I'm a contractor and I'm able to utilize all the programs I need. I send out quotes, bookkeeping, CAD drawings and program equipment, FROM MY TABLET!!!! I'm on my third tablet and thinking about getting the Ultra next. The Dex app is amazing and it just completes a great piece of equipment. If you're on the fence, get off and get one!

Every day i find somthing new . i love how i can find so many ways to spend my time . Exploring the internet shopping gaming and streaming videos . It is the most versitile tablet I have ever owned . This is my fourth Samsung tablet and by far my favorite yet . By the way the other three still function great . Needless to say samsung has been a part of my life for a long time .

Tablet is great. The stylus is nice and I love the storage with the Samsung keyboard case. Snaps on the back next to the camera, and then is closed up for security. The only qualm I have is there seems to be a dead space in the bottom right corner where the stylus seems to lose calibration a bit.

This product has so much to offer.
I primarily use this product for school and work, making the switch to digitized notes. As a college student, this product does help substantially and offers a lot more features, such as display, hardware, battery, and performance. With the Tab S8, I find it very helpful to take notes on and organize them and easier to look at.

I've never had such a good android tablet. The Galaxy Tab S8 is awesome. I've always been an android guy, I dislike apple but this android tablet is phenomenal. Everything loads up right as you touch it, and the fluidity of the animations have gotten a lot better over time. If you need a laptop or android tablet replacement this is a very good choice. There's an option to use it in a computer like interface called, "Samsung Dex." It's a great option for those who want to use it as a laptop. Battery life is great too! Lasts me the whole day and sometimes a whole week based of usage. All in all, its a great tablet and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 tablet handles all the expectations. This like-phone Android operating system has features that is similar to a regular phone. Best part is, you can connect your phone to the tablet in order to text message or make a call.

This product has a grate feature, it replaced all my notebooks, watching movies, playing games without any lag, samsung dex feature is awesome.
I personally use it on daily basis for my school and also for the work. And in traveling too.
Build quality and camera quality is awesome, it takes batter pieces then iphones. And can do a lot with those pieces afterwards, like editing or creating images.
It has a endless limits of use.

Very enjoyable
I got this tablet mainly for drawing and I've been enjoying the pen a lot. The tablet runs clip studio very well and it came with a 6 month subscription as well. The screen is very vivid and runs at 120hz so it's very smooth. The pen is very seamless and has touch protection. Overall it's a good tablet for drawing and I'm very happy with it.

Great Product, Perfect Size for Me
I upgraded from an S6 Tab Lite to the S8 Tab and I love the size of the S8. It still has all the same great features that I'm used to with a bit more sprinkled in.
I use the table for office work (word files and spreadsheets), digital planning with Samsung Notes, and watching videos. It's the perfect size to take on the plane an for comfortably on the seat back tray.

Never using my PC again
I love using my tablet for multiple things throughout the day.
This includes reading newsletters responding to emails responding to messages, watching videos on YouTube, doing shopping on apps like Amazon...
I had other tablets before but this one is so powerful I think I'll ever need my PC.
One thing that could be better is the Google suite of productivity tools like slides or sheets.

I use my tablet for taking notes in the class and completing my assignments using a samsung notes. I love samsung notes app and how it get sync with the samsung account. You can view that same document on your phone in seconds. Notes taking system is very reliable and easy than the Microsoft software. It is easy to add, crop, draw, and even add audio clips on the notes. I mean, can't be more awesome.

I obtained this tablet to use at school, and it has changed my life.
Samsung loads in two different note-taking apps from the get-go, allowing me to make some choices before I commit to using one app.
Before, I struggled with keeping my notes organized or even struggled to consistently take notes. Having a combination of a large screen and ergonomic stylus has motivated me to keep going, thus increasing my performance in my degree.
I owe at least some credit to samsung for my college success since they created the tool that I use every day.

My only wish is the ecosystem between devices was easier to use.. I believe you concentrate in a smart home ecosystem while phone, tablet and TV suffered a little bit..

Solid Affordable Tablet with an S Pen
I use the tablet mainly for reading, mobile games and online shopping. I also will, at times, use it to watch movies on a plane or train. Ultimately it was a good upgrade from my previous non Samsung product.
Similar functionality to prior tabs, I find this one responsive and with the pen, easier to write what I am searching than to type.
Have had some strange scenarios with apps but it generally is resolved in a few days (app issues not so much the tablet).
Highly recommend for rhe budget conscious.

Got this tablet to use as a travel device for the car, kids and business. I really love that this can be used with the Dex dock. I connected a blue tooth keyboard and mouse, and it works great. My Tab S8 reveiw
I'll be using this device to video chat with my fiance while I do regional trucking. I'll use my S22 Ultra as a Hotspot for internet access. The build quality is outstanding. It's no Tab S9, but it still has that snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The 120hz display is great. Even though it's LCD. It's still a a great tablet that's got 8gb of RAM on tap! Very functional, very easy to copy all my data from my phone to the tablet. I like the micro SD card slot because I do plan to upgrade the storage some time. The S pen is super cool as our charges on the tablet itself and has bluetooth functionality! Works great! This is a solid product. I recommend it to those who can find it for a good discount! If not then get the Tab S9. Highly recommend getting a solid case for it.

Very sufficient college tablet
I got this tablet in the midst of college application season and it majorly leveled up my game. It is so easy having a device with a touch screen because there is an easy portability to it, especially if you purchase the case as well, and it can pretty much do everything your computer would do. I sue it for a combination of assignments, e-reading, movies, and music. The speakers are thoughtfully designed to offer almosta surround sound sort of feel since there are four speaker points embedded in the device. The battery life has been phenomenal and the display is great as well, serving my needs for photo editing and movie watching. One major pro for this over Apple is the option for an additional SD card insert, though the standard storage on this has been more than enough so far. I do worry a bit about the S pen's tip durability and the way it catches dirt on the screen, but as long as you stay clean and be careful like I have it should last. I've had this device for two years and I'm still just as happy with its performance overall.

I use this tablet for EVERYTHING.
Take notes, draw, read, play, watch videos, study, and take pictures. This tablet has been great for me ever since I got it. Great product. It also has an amazing battery that lasts up to days, and it also charges very quickly. The sound on this thing is astounding. I have dropped it a couple of times, but the screen holds up nicely. Yet it doesn't have any cracks on the screen. Overall, it's a great tablet for any occasion. It simply has everything packed up so you'll always be prepared for anything!

I'm a current owner of the Tab S8 and loving it. I love the different features. I had to get this tablet because my last tablet died and would not power on. There are several ways that I use the tablet like taking notes during church service while the sermon is being delivered. I love that a keyboard can be connected. When traveling and waiting for my flight I use it to watch pre-recorded shows and movies. I also watch shows while doing things in the kitchen. I love that my earbuds connect so effortlessly. When turning on the device I love that there is several different ways to get on.

This device has all that I need and comes pretty close to being a small form factor laptop replacement. Even as the lowest model without an Amoled screen, it still looks great. I use it with Dex mode and it works great even as a secondar screen. It is plenty fast to keep up with my multitasking. As an Android tablet it more than what I expected. Fast with great overall performance. It would be better if developers developed Android apps for tablets and Dex. This is the best Android tablet I have owned. And I have a lot in my 15 years of using Android.

I use my tablet for a combination of media consumption, video games via Xbox Game Pass, Google Drive, work emails, and to write short stories using the included S-pen. The Galaxy Tab S8 has always delivered on performance and features, never once letting me down. I got it at an amazing price during a trade-in promotion. I previously owned the older model Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, but felt it lacked the performance I needed during multitasking and more strenous tasks.

I have had this tablet for several months and it has handled everything I have thrown at it. I have had iPads in the past, but they do not compare for me. Ipad os is just too restrictive. I use my tablet for work as well as entertainment. The file management on this tablet is far, far superior to iPad.

Very powerful, sound is amazing
With tablets you normally only worry about chip, ram, storage. Noone ever gives sound a actual thought, Samsung took a master class. It fills the room with full rich sound. To say nothing of a display that's very smooth. The snapdragon is all that n a bag of chips....the days of arms being as fast if not faster than x86 is very 80s. The dex is also amazing...y is no one else doing that?
Cons. Price changes rapidly down, I bought for 699 a week ago now 299. Not fair.

I love the tablet. Why I'm I being preasured into securing my wifi? I got a standard S8. I'm upgrading from an a7 2020. I felt hurt from that one, 1 os upgrade.? Then they release this one with promises of 4 os updates 5years of support. I get it its a work of art, that trys to sell stuff everywhere. Y. Why Samsung? Unbelievably beyond my expectations. First the size and shape. Holding in my hand became natural once I found a sweet spot to hold in one or both hands while in motion.
My reason for the Tab is I love making music. With the use of a docking station, external microphone, keyboard workstation and headset. I was making music faster than any windows program I've ever used.
I was worried about the small amount of ram and memory. But pleased because of how responsive everything still is.
Of any tablet made to date... this is the one for price, size and productivity.

Great tablet
I preordered the tablet and received it before its release date. They gave a boosted trade in value which put this tablet in a good price range. The preorder also came with a keyboard case which in itsef is way over priced but for free is great.
I have the 256gig model. I do nothing that stresses the processor or memory. It allows for expanded storage via micro SD. Additional storage via micor sd is a plus for those that need it. it is sad that many high end devices are dropping it.
The screen is crisp. I have had no issues with anything. Movies play great. everything else is crisp and clear. Screen size. This is slightly bigger than my S6E which being wide screen was to small. This adds just enough so this is not as noticable. The debate is always what format is better. Samsung went wide screen while apple stayed 4:3. For this size screen and the way I use it 4:3 would be so much better. I loved that in my S2 but that was getting old. So the format is decent but 4:3 would be better.
Camera. Its a tablet. I doubt anyone uses the camera on the tablet except for maybe video confrences which I don't do. So I have no oppinion on the camera.
Headphone jack is gone which is sad.
Stylus. Samsung has done this right and a little wrong. What they did well was the S Pen itself. It functions flawlessly. Placement is accurate to where it touches. There software reads my chicken scratches and converts to text perfectly. What they haveent figured out is what to do with the stylus when not in use. It magnetically clips the the back to charge. This can be brushed off very easily. They keyboard case has a internal spot where it will clip but that makes the case wider than needed. Other cases ignore the pen or come up with terrible places to put it. To be fair apple has not figured out what to do with their pen either and they charge alot for it.
The keyboard case I received with my purchase I love. It magnetically connects to the back and when closed to the front. It stays shut. It has a slot in the fold where you can store the S Pen when it is not in use. The down side of course is the price. It is over $100 which I would never pay for it. It was included free with my preorder which is well worth it. They need to cut the price to under $50.

Ideal Tablet
Having worked in electronics sales and support for years, I have seen, used, and sold many tablets. Of all the tablets avalable on the market right now, the Galaxy Tab S8 is at the top of my list for recomendations. The seamless integration of accessories is second to none, and the hardware is the best in its class. The only down side is the lack of third party accessories.

Great Functionality
I have been very pleased with the quality of the display when watching videos, whether homemade or streaming. I have also used my tablet to cast to my 55" Samsung TV with ease.
I have used my laptop less and less as I am able to do most of my computing work on the tablet using a Bluetooth keyboard.
I am a wedding officiant and use the tablet instead of a binder to contain my notes when performing weddings.

I reach for this for handheld used with the rugged cover. While OLED is in a different league, this display is also great and the size is perfect for carrying. Had the 7+ and now the S8Ultra as well, and the S8 is great. Unless the S9 has an OLED screen, I'm not trading up.

Intuitive, customizable and powerful
I have had this device for a month now and I am using it extensively. My primary reason of getting the device was to be able to remotely access my work station (desktop pc) because of my work. I didnt quite expect to use the S8 beyond that and maybe to brows the web. I was quite pleasently surprised by the multi-screen/split-screen capabilities as well as by the S Pen. The smoothness and versatility of the split-screen is great especially when you are on the go and dont have two monitors available. The S Pen and its responsiveness is as close as you can imagine a digital pen can be to the actuall pen and paper. In conclusion, i wish that i got the S8+ or ultra.

Great tablet!
For the first time, a Galaxy tablet came with an S pen and it is amazing to have! This is also the first time a fingerprint scanner was Integrated on the side panel above the power and volume controls. It took some getting used to, but in the end it's nice to have that extra level of security on something so mobile.
I use my tablet every day, primarily for reading and internet. But with the S pen, it is also easier to jot down notes/reminders. It's also super for watching videos and streaming services.
My only dislike is the inability to manually turn the screen off. The only way, I have found, is to close the cover of the separately sold Samsung smart cover.
This is an amazing tablet from a company that strives for excellence in electronic devices. I highly recommend this and so many other Samsung electronics!

My husband bought me the Tab S8 to replace my Tab A for work because I would be using it daily for upwards of 6 hours including internet and video conferencing.
I absolutely love this tablet. It is quick, the battery lasts for 2-3 days on average with moderate use of Wi-Fi, internet and occasional zoom calls. The screen is clear, easy to read and easy to customize. I also love how seamlessly I can sync my calendar, notes and Microsoft apps with my S22+ without even having to think about it.
The S Pen is also a great accessory that I didn't even know I needed until I had it. I use it more than I thought I would and I love all the different things I can do with it. The best part is that it comes with the tablet!!
I can't say enough good things about this product. Oh! One more thing, it fast charges! Such a convenience when needing to charge it quickly.

Great tablet
I replaced my kindle with this.
It's great for reading ebooks, occasional streaming while traveling and with spen , it's perfect for taking quick notes.
I honestly didnt think I will enjoy using spen this much, its great utility to have, it now has replaced my notebook too
The battery life is great , as I don't play games at all, the battery lasts 2-3 days easily with streaming and reading.
I recommend this tablet .

Great for school and productivity
I typically use my tab S8 for my work as a graduate student. It has made reading academic papers and studying ver convenient with the S-pen allowing smooth annotations making note-taking to be a really pleasant experience.
The Dex Mode is also great, and enables me to perform simpler web based work to be done solely on the tablet, allowing me to leave my much heavier lapptop behind at home. Would certainly recommend it to anyone in school looking for a great note-taking and study tool!

I use my tablet daily for games, mostly. I have 2 I play regularly. I had upgraded from a Tab S4. Wow! Talk about a huge change in speed! Graphics are so much smoother. The colors are crisper.
My only "complaint" would be that when I use my Tab S8 for other every day apps typical to what I use on my phone (ie, Gmail, Facebook, etc), these apps tend to run somewhat slower. I can't figure out why, but I have very little in terms of apps and data on my Tab.
Regardless, I love this tablet! The integrated S-Pen is super helpful to have, as well.

My experience with the Tab S8 so far
I picked up the Tab S8 to play mobile games and watch videos while doing stuff around the house. As far as gaming, it's definitely worth it. No slowdown or stuttering. Easy to pair Bluetooth devices like earbuds and controllers to. As far as watching videos on the Tab S8, I have to say I enjoy watching them on them on it more than my laptop mainly because of ease of use and the speakers. There're louder than I expected and clear enough that I can hear and understand the conversations on the videos from 2 rooms away. I recommend this for anyone that wants something between a top-tier smartphone and a laptop.

I'm very happy with this tablet. It is fast. The screen isn't OLED, but the LCD looks great. The battery life usually gets me 2 or 3 days of use. I like the ability to expand the storage with the SD card slot. This tablet can also be used as a laptop with Dex enabled and a keyboard/mouse. I like the included S pen to create notes and drawings. This isn't a budget android tablet, so if you're looking for a premium experience and it's in your budget, this tablet should be at the top of your list for consideration. The only negatives I can think of are: there is no headphone jack (but you can use USB-C wired headphones) and there is no official IP water / dust resistance rating. I would highly recommend buying a protective case and screen protector. Overall, this is a great tablet and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Samsung eco system and want a premium tablet.

I use my S8 for searches. For E-books, streaming, online news feeds, YouTube for information, instruction, how-to, tech reviews.
Google maps for location, places to stay and things to do and of course directions.
Being able to open multiple apps at once, in regular Android or DEX can be a big help.
I really appreciate the S pen as it adds another level of use.
As I am retired, I don't need all of the capabilities one might use for work, but I really like this tablet as it provides what I need on a daily basis and I continue to learn more about the myriad of features available.
I just updated to this tablet from the S5e a couple months ago and very pleased with the upgrade.

Amazing Tablet - Better than Ipad
I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S8 from a S6 and was very impressed. I have had Ipad's, Lenovo, cheapo Tablets, etc . The S8 is king. Having access to the play store, DEX and the S pen makes it hard to use anything else. The power has finally gotten as good as flagship phones. I use it in conjunction with my S22 ULTRA and love being able to go back and forth from devices like it's almost one device. I also play Fortnite with my daughter , connecting an XBOX controller and it runs exceptionally well. Samsung has had my vote for the best devices for quite a few years now and I have no loyalty whatsoever. If someone makes a better device I'm gone, but that has happened in a while. The value, customer support and quality is unmatched. I can't wait to see what they come out with next. The S8 is the bottom teir of the 3 versions , but I actually like the size the best and the screen even though not OLED is crisp and beautiful. It's also strong and can take a beating inside a case. Thanks again Samsung for exceeding my expectations!

Solid replacement to my other branded tablet
I use my tablet to read, do some light gaming, shopping and entertainment while traveling. It excels in all these areas. Although the sound output cannot touch my previous tablet, for the value, I'm fine to connect my earbuds and enjoy from there. The s pen also helps a great deal when in need of writing or selecting in a much small area than my thumb. Impressive for the cost.

This is definitely a premium device. I've had some A series tablets before, and boy, is this a huge step up.
The large battery and quick charging are something that I noticed immediately. This is the biggest complaint I've had with tablets in the past.
The speed of the device and clarity of the screen are most welcome. I use a tablet for productivity, and this S8 never keeps me waiting.
I was a bit concerned about the S Pen and how it attaches. After using the device for a bit now, this seems a pretty thoughtful design, with the magnet being strong enough to keep the pen in place. I would still recommend a case which protects the S Pen, however.

I love this tablet because I attached a key board and mouse so its like a mini laptop, but i can also split the screen and have the book on oneside and write my homework on the other. the pen is also cool and I use it to take all my notes which are very neat and organized because of the tablet.

The wife loves to draw and create art on it. I find it perfect for movies and games when we travel. The pen and Samsung software definitely set this tablet leagues apart from anything else I've used.

This tablet is super easy to use and makes giving my phone time to charge easier. I can do office work as well as normal day to day activities. Simple and fun.

Love this tablet. Great for Artists.
My girlfriend's family recently bought this the Galaxy Tab S8 for use with school but also some video watching and art. The screen is crisp and smooth and is a perfect size for any kind of gaming or video watching. The pen that came with the device is outstanding as well and it's awesome being able to use different drawing apps with such precision in the strokes you make. The touch sensitivity detector on the pen is also great as you can make lighter or heavier strokes depending on the amount of pressure you use. Overall, we've been very happy with the performance of the Galaxy Tab S8 and it's pen and would give it a solid 10/10.

Good battery life
I use my tablet for non-business (personnel) use. I charge my tablet and even though I use it a lot during the day the charge has never run out before I am finished. This greatly reduces downtime. I also purchased for a laptop but the items (keyboard and mouse and stylus) work excellently.
I like that I can (and I am older than dust) hook up to Wi-Fi easily and fast.

Great device
I've had Samsung Galaxy tablets in the past and the tablet s8 is probably the best to come. This thing is amazing. No complaints what's so ever, I could knit pick some stuff but to the average use this thing is great. The attachable keyboard is a great add on for me also with school I can go from tablet to laptop within seconds. The pen allows me to free hand notes as well and with the quick presses you can pretty much control the tablet with the pen. It's the best tablet I've so far. Looking to see if I get the s9 for my wife. She also a huge fan of the tablet.

Gets the job done
I use my tablet on a daily basis. I originally I got it for school but now I use it on the job to manage my schedules and projects. I highly recommend not only this tablet but any Samsung tablet.

Love Samsung Devices
I love the clarity, the durability, the sound, the overall functionality and the ease of my tablet. I've never owned an apple product and I never will. I'm an Android user and Samsung is my "go to" for phones, tables, laptops and earbuds.... its all I know. Thank you for making such incredible products that make my day to day life so much easier.

Versatility is endless!
I love this tablet!
I got it with the idea of making art with it, but I use it for so much more. I use it to keep a daily planner! The stylist is the best thing ever on this tablet. It's great for writing in your planner, taking notes, or just drawing.
I stream movies and TV shows when I am traveling for work. I also use it for reading and listening to audio books or music.
It's been wonderful! Performance is great! It has not slowed down since I've got it. It runs flawlessly! Battery life on it is really good too! I'm really impressed with how long it lasts.

Versatile tablet that rivals competitors.
For the value of this product, the Galaxy Tab S8 has the versatility and productivity that rivals iPads and even surfaces. I primarily bought this device for notetaking, but I am able to do more than just that with how capable this tablet is: I can watch video content with a beautiful 2k display 120 Hz, write documents (with the keyboard case) and do light productivity work, use the tablet almost like a large smartphone with the hand-friendly 16:10 ratio--I believe I recieved a lot of value for the price I have payed for this device.
One caveat that justified one less star pertains to the durability of the S pen. After just 1-2 months of use, the tip of the S pen broke off when I accidentally dropped the pen one day. I struggled finding reliable tips or pens that Samsung might offer, but they were either non-existent or expensive, and so I struggled with searching for third parties.
Overall a great value for its eager versatility.
