Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much faster I use my tablet daily for games, mostly. I have 2 I play regularly. I had upgraded from a Tab S4. Wow! Talk about a huge change in speed! Graphics are so much smoother. The colors are crisper. My only "complaint" would be that when I use my Tab S8 for other every day apps typical to what I use on my phone (ie, Gmail, Facebook, etc), these apps tend to run somewhat slower. I can't figure out why, but I have very little in terms of apps and data on my Tab. Regardless, I love this tablet! The integrated S-Pen is super helpful to have, as well.

The sound is great too with 4 speakers it can be loud. Using the Tablet as a second screen is very cool although the font size is smaller. My Samsung Buds sound great and connect easily. With the Ui 5.1 qnd Android 13 this Tablet has a lot of features to customize till your hearts content. ??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy tab s8 When it first released, it took a long time to get this tablet, but since I arrived it, I must say it has worked almost flawlessly. The flaws are more so software related in some instances and they're third party. Samsung should continue to promote and ensure that when new versions of apps are released that those that especially benefit from a large screen such as for watching movies and drawing are made to work right away on the latest Android version for tablets. In terms of Samsung's own software, there is little to complain about. From split screen features, to S Pen use and the innovative Bixby Routines, pretty much everything works quite well. The screen is right up there where Samsung is in a category of its own with the Super Amoled type display. As a owner of a couple other premium devices from competitors, unless my device needs recharging, pretty much all my media consumption is done on the Tab S8 Ultra. Same when it comes to mobile productivity. Being able to use three apps at once, in addition to having others floating can be very useful. From watching informative videos, taking notes using Samsung Notes and if need be to use the calculator as part of it, it can all be done seemlessly. The SPen is included and is clearly an integral part of the experience. I use it all the time, there are so many uses for it. The nib is perfect for writing and drawing. Interestingly although I use it every day the equivalent of a few pages worth of writing daily.

And when i'm not using it for work it's perfect to take around with me for media consumption. It's light, snappy and still holds up well after using it for a year, highly recommend.

When I got the Tab S8, it was actually an upgrade.from the Tab S7, and I was surprised by how much I love both Samsung tablets. I actually find myself always reaching for the Tab S8, and almost never for the iPad these days. While the iPad may have a bigger app selection, all of the apps that I need are either available on the Tab S8, or an equivalent alternative is. However, DEX is a real game changer. It really let's the tablet act as a laptop replacement. It is easy, intuitive, and reliable. Ms Office is available. Mouse and tracpad support are just like a laptop. It just works great. As for the hardware, It is beautiful. The build quality is outstanding. The design is striking. And the screen is gorgeous. As someone who has had multiple iPads, I never thought I would prefer an android tablet. But I do like the Tab S8 better than the iPad.

So when I saw the galaxy tab s8 came with a really good stylus, I just had to pick it up. I've used it for a few months now, and the battery life is really good and my note taking experience on the Tab has been amazing. This is one of the best tech purchases that I've made recently. It's super easy to create 3D models on this device for my class projects. It has great battery capacity. I already recommended this tablet for my friends and family memebers. Great product Samsung!

It has made reading academic papers and studying ver convenient with the S-pen allowing smooth annotations making note-taking to be a really pleasant experience. The Dex Mode is also great, and enables me to perform simpler web based work to be done solely on the tablet, allowing me to leave my much heavier lapptop behind at home. Would certainly recommend it to anyone in school looking for a great note-taking and study tool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy Tab S8 I'm very happy with this tablet. It is fast. The screen isn't OLED, but the LCD looks great. The battery life usually gets me 2 or 3 days of use. I like the ability to expand the storage with the SD card slot. This tablet can also be used as a laptop with Dex enabled and a keyboard/mouse. I like the included S pen to create notes and drawings. This isn't a budget android tablet, so if you're looking for a premium experience and it's in your budget, this tablet should be at the top of your list for consideration. The only negatives I can think of are: there is no headphone jack (but you can use USB-C wired headphones) and there is no official IP water / dust resistance rating. I would highly recommend buying a protective case and screen protector. Overall, this is a great tablet and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Samsung eco system and want a premium tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tablet This is a great tablet. I have had this model for about 8 months now after upgrading from the s7. The newer updates to the software have heavily improved the tablet experience without needing to use dex mode. With the keyboard cover or even just a Bluetooth key board dex mode is an amazing experience that feels a lot like windows 10. This tablet is much easier and more comfortable to carry than a laptop so for most general computing tasks I have used this tablet instead of a computer. When it comes to gaming this thing can handle just about anything you can find on the playstore plus a wide range of emulation. I also have luma fusion for video editing which has decent optimization and a really solid interface, 1080p video editing works great and even 4k functions fairly well. When it comes to general needs (school, social media, content consumption, and entertainment) this tablet is enough I'd say to replace a laptop. The added s pen is a great experience as well. Drawing and taking notes for me has been a great experience and a lot of fun. I personally have been very happy with this tablet and would recommend it.

Pluses: - Love the refresh rate @120 - screen size is almost to big for me, but nice - pen is great and with my paper feel screen protector, it mostly feels like paper when you write on it - battery life is excellent as well. I'm not a heavy user, about 30 mins to 2 hours and it last 5 to 7 days before needing a recharge. Cons: - LCD screen instead of AMOLED... Battery life would be even better if AMOLED

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall tablet! I got this tablet originally to only read and highlight pdf ( I already have a surface laptop but needed something smaller specifically for reading). However, once I realized the connectivity advantages I could get when using it along my phone and laptop on apps like notes it has quickly replaced most of my folders and notebooks that I would usually take to class. I got the basic option because like I previously mentioned I only intended to use it for reading, so I can't expand on how comfortable it is for typing or trying to edit a pdf. But, I will say that this little tab has made my work/school life a lot more easier (organizing wise)

I'm still learning how to use the pen, but so far it is fun. Writing instead of typing sure saves the fingers! I would definitely recommend this tablet to anyone looking to upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My experience with the Tab S8 so far I picked up the Tab S8 to play mobile games and watch videos while doing stuff around the house. As far as gaming, it's definitely worth it. No slowdown or stuttering. Easy to pair Bluetooth devices like earbuds and controllers to. As far as watching videos on the Tab S8, I have to say I enjoy watching them on them on it more than my laptop mainly because of ease of use and the speakers. There're louder than I expected and clear enough that I can hear and understand the conversations on the videos from 2 rooms away. I recommend this for anyone that wants something between a top-tier smartphone and a laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Tablet I wanted to get a tablet that I could use for games, work lunch-time videos, and occasional browsing/word processing. I have been very impressed with this tablet. The size is perfect. I almost went for either of the other two larger sizes and I think they would be too big for holding long periods of time. I was worried about the screen being an LCD panel and not OLED but I do not notice when it is on. Only really notice when it powers up and there is the high contrast between the logo and the black background. I love the multi tasking that you can do on the tablet. It is similar to Android phones having multi window but the larger screen, in my opinion, actually makes it viable. The S-Pen is great and I almost always choose to use it over my finger so that I do not have to move my hand as much and have greater visibility when playing games. I also love that Samsung Dex uses the tablet screen as the PC live display interface. That essentially turns this tablet into a laptop. Only thing I wish was there in Dex was a better way to resize windows and exit full screen when an app is watching for similar inputs. Makes it hard to move things around sometimes. Very happy with my purchase. Worth every penny.

I have also used my tablet to cast to my 55" Samsung TV with ease. I have used my laptop less and less as I am able to do most of my computing work on the tablet using a Bluetooth keyboard. I am a wedding officiant and use the tablet instead of a binder to contain my notes when performing weddings.

I honestly didnt think I will enjoy using spen this much, its great utility to have, it now has replaced my notebook too The battery life is great , as I don't play games at all, the battery lasts 2-3 days easily with streaming and reading. I recommend this tablet .

I didn't think it would be as loud as it is and I love it! I have also had little to no issues with it slowing down when I have 10 or more apps open. Also the picture quality it pretty nice as well along with the resolution of the pictures, only thing I dislike about the cameras is how the front camera is along the side of the tablet and not at the top like my phone so it throws me off when I use the tablet for video chat. ?? Oh and one other thing that I dislike is the placement of the stylus. I have lost mine due to falling off the back at some point, I even bought a case that was suppose to help keep it in place, but we see how well that worked out. ?? Other than that it's an amazing product! I would recommend it I just advise you to find a case that will actually hold it in place. ??

While OLED is in a different league, this display is also great and the size is perfect for carrying. Had the 7+ and now the S8Ultra as well, and the S8 is great. Unless the S9 has an OLED screen, I'm not trading up.

My primary reason of getting the device was to be able to remotely access my work station (desktop pc) because of my work. I didnt quite expect to use the S8 beyond that and maybe to brows the web. I was quite pleasently surprised by the multi-screen/split-screen capabilities as well as by the S Pen. The smoothness and versatility of the split-screen is great especially when you are on the go and dont have two monitors available. The S Pen and its responsiveness is as close as you can imagine a digital pen can be to the actuall pen and paper. In conclusion, i wish that i got the S8+ or ultra.

Perfect shape ratio, amazing integration with the S pen (which works great with my S21Ultra, too!) And what about the rest? Great for multimedia: 4 speakers are very good for movies and music...for movies you will probably miss an Amoled display...yes, this is basically the only flaw of this great tablet...but not a game stopper, this LCD is still very good! Battery life is good... unfortunately handwriting for 5-6 hour per day is a battery killer, but I can do at least 1.5 days of heavy work with a battery run. Very good tablet, suggested for everyone! i

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Compromise I purchased this to use for streaming & podcasts as well as handling things I'd typically do on a PC that are just too difficult to do on a smart phone. Ideally what I'd really like is a true phablet, so I could just dump the phone & do almost everything on a tablet & when that's possible, I'll upgrade to a tablet with more memory, but for it's present use as more of an infotainment device, the basic S8 doesn't a great job & has plenty of speed. The feature I LOVE, that you may have guessed, is the tablet's ability to link to my phone so that I CAN use the tablet to make calls & text! While it's not ideal, due to being wifi, it's an excellent compromise for the time being. The con is the screen. Even with the eye comfort shield, the screen is very harsh. Idk if most people will notice, but I mention this for others with light sensitivity. Likewise, the audio is also harsh and because this is a common problem with samsung devices, perhaps they need to add special controls so that people can fine tune their devices, as the things that presently come stock aren't sufficient. Users shouldn't need to outside shop in app stores for the basics. Overall I think this tablet is a very good fit, and while I prefer the idea of a true phablet, the Z Fold is still 2 small & the s pen can't be used on the top screen, so for now the S8 along with an S23 make a really great combo!

I have had iPads in the past, but they do not compare for me. Ipad os is just too restrictive. I use my tablet for work as well as entertainment. The file management on this tablet is far, far superior to iPad.

It fills the room with full rich sound. To say nothing of a display that's very smooth. The snapdragon is all that n a bag of chips....the days of arms being as fast if not faster than x86 is very 80s. The dex is also amazing...y is no one else doing that? Cons. Price changes rapidly down, I bought for 699 a week ago now 299. Not fair.

Holding in my hand became natural once I found a sweet spot to hold in one or both hands while in motion. My reason for the Tab is I love making music. With the use of a docking station, external microphone, keyboard workstation and headset. I was making music faster than any windows program I've ever used. I was worried about the small amount of ram and memory. But pleased because of how responsive everything still is. Of any tablet made to date... this is the one for price, size and productivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tablet I preordered the tablet and received it before its release date. They gave a boosted trade in value which put this tablet in a good price range. The preorder also came with a keyboard case which in itsef is way over priced but for free is great. I have the 256gig model. I do nothing that stresses the processor or memory. It allows for expanded storage via micro SD. Additional storage via micor sd is a plus for those that need it. it is sad that many high end devices are dropping it. The screen is crisp. I have had no issues with anything. Movies play great. everything else is crisp and clear. Screen size. This is slightly bigger than my S6E which being wide screen was to small. This adds just enough so this is not as noticable. The debate is always what format is better. Samsung went wide screen while apple stayed 4:3. For this size screen and the way I use it 4:3 would be so much better. I loved that in my S2 but that was getting old. So the format is decent but 4:3 would be better. Camera. Its a tablet. I doubt anyone uses the camera on the tablet except for maybe video confrences which I don't do. So I have no oppinion on the camera. Headphone jack is gone which is sad. Stylus. Samsung has done this right and a little wrong. What they did well was the S Pen itself. It functions flawlessly. Placement is accurate to where it touches. There software reads my chicken scratches and converts to text perfectly. What they haveent figured out is what to do with the stylus when not in use. It magnetically clips the the back to charge. This can be brushed off very easily. They keyboard case has a internal spot where it will clip but that makes the case wider than needed. Other cases ignore the pen or come up with terrible places to put it. To be fair apple has not figured out what to do with their pen either and they charge alot for it. The keyboard case I received with my purchase I love. It magnetically connects to the back and when closed to the front. It stays shut. It has a slot in the fold where you can store the S Pen when it is not in use. The down side of course is the price. It is over $100 which I would never pay for it. It was included free with my preorder which is well worth it. They need to cut the price to under $50.

Of all the tablets avalable on the market right now, the Galaxy Tab S8 is at the top of my list for recomendations. The seamless integration of accessories is second to none, and the hardware is the best in its class. The only down side is the lack of third party accessories.

Unlike the ultra, it doesn't feel like I'm walking around with my laptop. The only thing, I wish it came with a cover that holds the pen, which is an awesome tool by the way. With the amount of money it is, it could at least come with a cheap one. Leave it up to the customer to get what works for them.

Too slow, limited in use, it was a big IPhone that couldn't make calls. I can use the DEX mode on my s8 to type files and complete applications for work and for school which is upcoming. The design of this tablet is right out of Westworld, and the free content on Samsung TV app is a welcome treat.

This is also the first time a fingerprint scanner was Integrated on the side panel above the power and volume controls. It took some getting used to, but in the end it's nice to have that extra level of security on something so mobile. I use my tablet every day, primarily for reading and internet. But with the S pen, it is also easier to jot down notes/reminders. It's also super for watching videos and streaming services. My only dislike is the inability to manually turn the screen off. The only way, I have found, is to close the cover of the separately sold Samsung smart cover. This is an amazing tablet from a company that strives for excellence in electronic devices. I highly recommend this and so many other Samsung electronics!

Using my Tab S8 to do my homework has been not only simple, but superior to traditional pencil on paper. I download what I need to download since it syncs with my Microsoft and Google accounts directly in the Files app, then do my work using the S Pen, and then send my now-completed work in. I also use the tablet to teach private music lessons, and having the ability to have my tuning and metronome apps in floating windows is a great convenience to me. This device has been an invaluable tool for me and honestly makes my life easier. Not to mention the battery life is great, the display is bright and fast, and the thing can do practically anything you throw at it in terms of processing power. Overall, the Tab S8 has been an absolute grand slam of a purchase for me.

I've used it for checking off a shopping list while shopping online, keeping an eye on important messages while using my work app, and searching up references for what I'm writing a paper on. The screen is fantastic, and battery life is great. I also really enjoy using the S-Pen, it makes nearly every facet of using the tablet even better. In my search for a replacement, I looked at the S8, and pulled the trigger on a purchase. Was glad I did, not only was it marginally more expensive than my A8, it was more bang for buck. More storage and more power for not much more, and it's light! Would definitely suggest for anyone doing more than web surfing.

It is Comfortable to use, it fits into my hand, on my desk, and in my lap with no issues, It is Compact enough to fit into my purse, yet big enough to see everything clearly. It is very Convenient. I can easily take it with me where ever I go, be it shopping, outside to enjoy coffee, or in the kitchen to follow recipes. I purchased this Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 for the sole purpose of learning digital planning, but I have also found that it is very useful for other tasks as well. I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially if you are just starting out, because it is so easy to navigate, learn, and works great for a multitude of different things.

The only con is it occasionally gets hot and that causes my apps to not respond correctly. I also really like the softness of the pen nib, but it wears down quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tools for Productivity I love the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. I also have the 8+ and the 8 Ultra. I use the S8 to do reading and browsing late when I'm just relaxing. It's the right size and does not get in the way of anything (like forgetting it's there when you fall asleep). The same can be said for the 8+. The 8+ can double as a mini computer if you feel like you want to keep your laptop at home. The feel of both are great. I like that you have the option to add expandable memory (SD card). The 8 Ultra was bigger than I imagined it being and I took a chance and kept it. I now use it as a second monitor. The visuals are epic. Like I said before it is not the typical size of a tablet. It is great to use to double as an actual laptop in a crunch and the same with the other 8 series all are great investments with speed, memory and reliability.

When i watch Youtube the sound is very real, feel like theater. The pen is very useful for me to sign a contract, that my computer can't. It also has a reminder when i careless drop the pen, and pen charging status. It has an option to attach keyboard and connect wireless mouse to use as computer. The only thing i don't like is the brightness automatic dim when i turn off my room's light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all around Honestly I was having a hard time choosing between this and another tablet. But the freedom of the S8's OS and platform won me over! I take a lot of notes on a weekly basis, and I wanted something that I could hand-write with. Samsung notes, of course and the S-Pen had me covered there. However, I had discovered that on my Tab S7 I could also use handwriting input on the keyboard anywhere I wanted, and it would convert my handwriting into type. This was a game changer for me since, I sometimes like typing my notes for better organization, better referencing, and also better shareability. So now I can choose between 100% handwritten notes and also handwriting my notes but into text format WITHOUT A KEYBOARD! When I searched for this capability on other tablets, I saw that they were not allowed to be used this way. Right then and there, I made my decision to buy the S8. The device has been wonderful, has never stuttered on me, it's always been able to handle the multitasking I need. I was afraid that the LCD screen might be hard to get used to, but it's a complete non-issue and I actually appreciate the easier daytime visibility. Gaming is a smooth dream, the audio is amazing, the Smart view is so easy to use, and I love that I can use the Tab as a second screen with my PC setup. Not to mention, the battery lasts as long as I need it to. I love that this tablet gives me freedom without sacrificing functionality. 10/10, I always recommend to friends and fam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Uni/Work/Play I use my Tab S8 for almost everything that I do. I use it as an ebook and note taker for uni, for teaching little kids and grading papers, and of course gaming... I use it so much in a day that I am able to burn through the batter by mid day, which is telling of his great battery life since my old Samsung tablet, the S6 couldn't even reach half my day's work load... That and everything else I threw at this thing, it handled it like a champ and kept on going. Despite being so thin, it is quite durable. I dropped mine from a decent height into hardwood floor and tile multiple times (no case/skin/screen protector) and tossed into a backpack everyday; and outside of a few chips and scratches from the metal back, it is still working like nothing happened. Maybe my drops are just lucky or maybe the internal weight distribution makes it handles drops better, who knows, but this thing is a tank.

Highly recommend My husband bought me the Tab S8 to replace my Tab A for work because I would be using it daily for upwards of 6 hours including internet and video conferencing. I absolutely love this tablet. It is quick, the battery lasts for 2-3 days on average with moderate use of Wi-Fi, internet and occasional zoom calls. The screen is clear, easy to read and easy to customize. I also love how seamlessly I can sync my calendar, notes and Microsoft apps with my S22+ without even having to think about it. The S Pen is also a great accessory that I didn't even know I needed until I had it. I use it more than I thought I would and I love all the different things I can do with it. The best part is that it comes with the tablet!! I can't say enough good things about this product. Oh! One more thing, it fast charges! Such a convenience when needing to charge it quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gr8 features, 5*, butfor small app compat prob Streaming classes & music are my top uses; but reading & viewing photographs is right up there! Very nice 'little touches' like the moveable pattern area enhance security- minimizing screen dirt fm giving away dirt build-up of security pattern on the screen… Which i a great screen, clear, super color, & fast refresh. I also really like the fingerprint button on top of the power button; & how it allows fast, more secure wake up of the screen. The only drawback is that my password 'safe' app's fingerprint 'open' feature doesn't work, although on other Samsung devices it does.
