Rated 5 out of 5 by from Somewhat bluky In today's age of electronics, when they say "the bigger, the better" They really mean it. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy A7, I've noticed that it is very sleek, but also a bit heavy. Having a case will help with the situation. Upon looking the device over I've noticed a few good things. The screen resolution is beyond what I expected. The vibrancy of the screen itself is very good. Handling it however takes getting used to. RAM is fast enough for anyone to use, and picture quality is to my liking. I feel, anyone who is tired of using their actual cell phones for the daily entertainment area, will actually like this. It's easier than I thought to understand set up, and finding apps are with ease. Battery life is long enough to get whatever you need done, but takes quite some time to charge completely. I personally use the tablet for Netflix and the occasional gaming that my phone can't handle. The camera works great, it does take a minute to understand how all the functions works as far as editing. But overall, This tablet gets an "A" From our family.

It's quick, snappy, has a premium metal build, good quad speakers, and a nice larg display. This is the perfect "coffee table" tablet for people who want a second screen to reference, watch videos, or maybe play a few less demanding games. The only place this tablet falls flat is multitasking and serious productivity work, but at the price point it's not really designed for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tablet for everyday use. First off let me just say I have been through various tablets through the years. Some very good, others, not so much. This tablet fits nicely in the top end of my experiences. Lets get into why I think its a great tablet for everyday use, but not so much for the power user. First off, what you get in the box is pretty basic. You get the tablet in a nice cloth covering, the a/c adapter and the usb-c cord. Nothing extra, just what you need. Now for an everyday use tablet, you want something that is easy and intuitive to use. This tablet has this in spades. If you are a samsung phone user, you will get right at home with the interface. Almost everything can be brought over from your accounts on your phone which is nice if you have your favorite apps. The size is excellent, I highly recommend 10" plus for a tablet. Its not to big that you cant hold it comfortably, but not to small where it makes viewing it a hassle. After the initial setup of the tablet, everything went smoothly and worked as I expected it to for the price point of this device. The build quality is top notch, the tablet "feels" like its a quality device. It has some heft, but still in a slim body. The speakers sound great, and the Dolby Atmos sound does add some much needed depth to tablet sound for watching video's. Video quality is good for the price, not the best, but is very good. Running apps seems smooth, and accessing things like social media platforms works just as it should (Like on your phone). Storage is a little light, but you can expand it with a micro SD card, which I did. For this price range of tablet, I highly recommend this tablet. For power users, read on for my negatives about this table. Why I feel this is not a "power user" tablet. Lets start with picture quality. While it is good, its not great. Definitely not for photo editing and such. On a side note, there is no option for increasing the screen sensitivity, which I would like since I use a glass screen protector. Second of all, while it has a good processor, it still has issues running some things "smoothly". I have a few apps that run super fast on my phone, but lag on the tablet. Lastly, the camera's are not that great compared to other devices in the tablet category. Ok for everyday users, but people who care about photo and video quality should probably look for the higher end models. This tablet is excellent for every day use.

The picture quality and sound in the tablet is AMAZING.!!! The sound i felt like i was in a surround sound. I love amaz9n products but this one topped my currently 5 year old tablet. 11/10 for sure!!! I have had it for a few days now and have only needed to charge it once. It is super lightweight. I use it for my reading. The camera is okay. In my opinion not the best clarity but I will definitely try different settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Entry Level Tablet This tablet is perfect for basic use to navigate your favorite apps on a lightweight tablet with decent video playback performance and clarity. The speakers can play a pretty decent volume and in most cases could be to loud if you use max volume levels, but the speakers don't get distorted when you do max it out to rock out to some tunes while you work. You get an audio jack which for me is very important. The USB connection is the USB C and which is also nice since all my latest Samsung products use this same cable type. The tablet was designed to hold in landscape mode based off the selfie-camera placement and buttons. While in this mode the power and volume buttons are on the top and your headphone jack would be at your right same side with power plug so that if you do move to portrait mode it will be at the bottom no problem. Side bezel is large enough to hold to avoid accidental touches but it does feel a little to wide making the screen look a little smaller, but for my larger hands I like it. The negatives tie along with the fact that this is an entry level tablet and because of that its hard to mark the rating lower than 1 star off. Wifi caps at 433 mbps, Fast charging caps at 1500 mA, Internal RAM at 3GB is not enough when straight out of the box Android is using 1.6GB. Finally only an 8mp camera is not enough to do any real good quality photo taking/editing. Video streaming with products like youtube TV show its lack of processing power, but Netflix and hulu run just fine and look clear with very little hesitation. Make sure to close out unused apps, because you will find the tablet start to really show down after launching to many apps in the background. I like to pop in and out of apps to avoid loading delay, but not an option here. Fit and finish is a nice lightweight tablet and with the Samsung production gives me confidence it will last. A few things turned me off as a performance user for this tablet. Charging, battery size and RAM. Charging is rated for 15 watt, but even though I tested it with my super fast charger you can't get beyond 1.5 mA charging rate. With my latest phones those speeds don't seem like fast charging for me. I drained it to 5% and it took HOURS to charge back up to 100%. Not happy with those times on stock charger supplied with. From just initially setup of adding my gmail accounts (essentially just email no apps). was using up 1.6 GB of my 3 GB of RAM. Android alone was using up almost half of the stock RAM.

Immediately after opening the box I was impressed with the nice big, almost completely to the edge screen, major plus. As for the color, It's more of a grey color than black. It's not heavy at all which is nice. The color/screen is super crisp and the colors look great. I am happy to say that the tablet hasn't gotten hot at all which typically happens after long usage. I plan to watch a movie on it shortly and will update after I finish and add some more apps. I love that I can connect all my Samsung devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium tablet with lots of features. This Galaxy Tab A7 (2020) has a big nice 10.4 ultra-widescreen which makes everything look so clear and beautiful! The 7040 mAh battery gives me soo much user time. For comparison, my Note 10+ has a 4170 mAh and on heavy usage it lasts me well over 12 hours. It does have the double tap to wake feature that I feel every touch device should have. It has a front and rear camera with NO FLASH. The pictures are decent (definitely better than an iPad or fire). The speakers definitely output good sound and I haven't the need to install a speaker booster app. And yes, it does come with a Stereo 3.5 mm port for regular plug-in headphones. There is a MicroSDXC slot that supports up to 1 TB. It comes with a charging cable and power adapter and uses fast charging Type-C 2.0. This model has no mobile data connectivity but it has dual-band Wi-Fi which is very convenient. The Bluetooth works really good and doesn't drop connection like the fire does. I loved that they added GPS! I was relieved to see USB OTG which works very nicely. It has NO NFC which was a bit of a bummer for me, but it does not take away from all the other amazing features. It also includes quite a few sensors and that's a wow factor! The interconnectivity between all my other Samsung devices is such a HUGE plus for me. I can make calls and use text messages on the Tab A7 that is in sync with my Note 10+! I can interact with my Samsung TV so ridiculously easy that my 6 year old has done it. I can use facial recognition to unlock the A7 and that is truly convenient for my all day use. If you're familiar with the Samsung phone line, it sports pretty much all the same features, like it's Samsung browser, which you can sync. Customizability of themes/icons is still something that I haven't been able to achieve within its own environment but can be done with 3rd party launchers. I also haven’t been able to move any apps over to the SD card and I can see this concerning me in a few months so I truly hope they bring an update to fix this because this can be a deal-breaker for most users. Overall, I'm excited to have this Galaxy Tab A7 in my arsenal of devices. I can't see myself without the ability to interact with my phone and tablet anymore. It's innovating, and one of the biggest reasons why I truly enjoy Samsung. This is a great tablet to own even if you don’t own any other Samsung device. The numerous features and premium look of this tablet makes it feel like a flagship cellphone in a huge screen! There is an LTE version of this tablet if you really want to take it the extra mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Tablet with some quirks the operation of the tablet has been okay. i have owned for a little more than a year. i have used it for browsing, online banking and zooming among other random uses. it is fast enough to be functional. however, it has the habit of not wanting to wake up from sleeping. i often have to hold down the power button for > 30 seconds to get it to come on. then i have to watch it and catch the swipe up screen before it goes blank, else i have to repeat the power button thing. once it is powered up in works normally, and 50% of the time i can wake it from sleep okay. i have factory reset it and stripped off most of the apps that i can. having used old, slow, cranky computers i put up with this until it dies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not able to use SD card for apps its a good tablet. the problem is the expandability putting a sd dosent mean more space in the tablet. it will not let you put apps on the sd. or move them to it. so buying an sd card is useless. so would i buy another samsung tablet? not anything under 128 gb. to bad and i liked it to. to bad they don't allow for that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a letdown. got the super trade-in of my tab a 10.1 tablet (2016) but just assumed it would be an upgrade. the battery life is 1/2 or less of what i had. many apps are not compatible with this that were with the old - including samsung's own email client - play store says not compatible with device and samsung confirms. webroot bank security - not compatible. firefox - not compatible. i would give anything to have my old tablet back, but in talking to samsung my option is to send this one in so they can try to "repair" it. all of this was the way it is out of the box. every trade-up i have done with all my samsung phones, tvs and tablets have been upgrade. not here. a huge mistake on my part.

I was extremely hesitant to get this device initially and had my heart set on a Tab S6 or s7. I had feared that this tablet would be plagued with the same issues I'd run in to with cheap fire tablets and cheap cell phones; however, I was extremely surprised to find I really couldn't tell any difference in performance and image quality between this and my S21+. For cheap phones and tablets typically the screen looks washed out. For this tablet colors are vibrant and the image actually looks better than even most budget 4K televisions. The tablet is highly responsive and I've noticed no slowdown or lag during web browsing, streaming, and the occasional game. If something were to happen to this device I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with the exact same make and model.

In terms of heavy demanding stuff like gaming or over fluidity of the user interface it is very lacking for this generation. The speakers are very good for the price and are a stellar feature. The disappointment with this tablet is the gaming performance and the lag that I face when using it. It lags when using navigation gestures or when doing basic tasks. Also 32GB in 2020 or 2021 is extremely lacking as a base storage option. This is for video calling or watching YouTube or Netflix but the screen could also be a bit better with colour and response time. Please note I chose no for recommending to a friend because the Tab S6 lite or the Tab S7 FE is way more better value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the brand this tablet has an awkard length. which makes un even in weight. after 1 week of having it i was boarding a flight and dropped my tablet out of its carrryng case (which didnt fit it because i cant find any protective gear to fit it) . unfortunately it was not useable after i dropped it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great budget tablet with mid range specs This is my 8th Samsung tablet purchase as I have switched all my house to Samsung. I purchased this for my 8 year old as he is transitioning from a kids fire tablet to something with better specs for gaming and entertainment. The screen is great and the processor is very responsive for most of the games he plays (Roblox, Minecraft, etc). Sound is not bad and storage capability is on par with other devices. I use an S7 and S6 and do not expect it to perform at this level but performs and looks better than my Tab A from 2018 that my older kids use and those are still performing well. If you are looking for a mid range entertainment tablet this is perfect and priced right especially with a trade in. Highly recommend

Data transfer and files is important to us and Samsung tablets are easy to work with unlike iPad. I would definitely recommend this.

It has all the power to keep up with all the multitasking or game playing. The battery life is great as well. I average about 6-8 hours per charge. That's with some youtube watching as well. Definitely worth buying if you don't want to spend top dollar for the latest and greatest.

Everything is too blue. Reds are very suppressed. Comic books do not look good with this tablet. Other media such as movies and TV shows will be the same. My Grandmother's 6 year old Verizon tablet looks better than this thing. No settings to change the color grading.

Watching movies works wonderfully with the quad speakers and large screen. Particularly about how loud the speakers get and the Dolby Atmos effect is very cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Actually REALLY good for small kids I had a cheap tablet prior that just couldn't get it done for my kid, processor too slow, battery not good enough, screen too small etc. I chose the a7 instead of a fire tablet or iPad, and got a nerf style case on it. Definitely exceeds my expectations and I plan on keeping her with this line up throughout her life. Overall 10/10 product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tablet - right size for the right price Excellent all day battery. My kid uses it for both her school work as well as entertainment. The charge holds easily for the whole day. Nice silky smooth UI and feels sturdy in hand. Performance is a bit underwhelming under processor intensive usage, but perfectly fine for daily usage - browsing, youtube. Speakers are another wonderful part of this tablet. Best I've heard on any tablet I've owned, including iPad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB charging port failed again the usb charging port failed the first time at the end of my warranty. samsung repaired it then, but 9 months later the exact same issue is occurring. i am left with a device that i cannot charge and the cost to repair (shipping and repair) makes it not worth fixing. i do not recommend this product and more than likely will avoid samsung in the future.

It's a little slow when using multiple apps at a time but it's expected for a tablet with only 3gigs memory. Other than that, it's got the latest Android OS so has almost all the new features (except DEX) and it's quite responsive when using only one or two apps at a time.

The only suggestion is to make it easier to turn off. It is difficult to push both buttons at the same esp. when they are on the same side & close together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setting up parental controls is impossible I bought 2 A7's for my kids. It is impossible to set up parental controls. You have to have a separate account for each child, then add that to your "family group." It sounds good in theory, but in reality you get stuck in this endless loop of the tablet asking you to sign in with your account or the child's account... hours later and I still haven't been able to set up simple screen time limits. And I'm a computer genius! Seriously, I don't know how any parent who isn't computer savvy and who has trouble opening their email is going to set up parental controls. The tablet itself is nice. It has a powerful processor and nice screen. The inability to load apps on the SD card is a deal breaker. I can't even download downloadable Disney or Netflix movies to my kid's SD card! What a joke.

Since I already used a Galaxy phone, it was very easy to get this tablet up and running with all my apps and accounts. This will be perfect for my toddler to use while on the go, once I get a protective case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product but package is terrible Pros: 1. it's convenient. I can take it from room to room easily. 2. The screen is big so it's easy for reading and typing. Cons: 1. When I have 2 tabs open, I can't switch between tabs like I can do on my lap top. I can add tabs but can't close them. 2. The outside box came broken because there was no filling between outside box and inside tablet package. I hope my tablet is not damaged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tablet this is a fantastic tablet! bought it for my wife & we set it up & off she went! video & tv via multiple apps! had to install fb & amazon & google calendar & few other apps! but it's not full of bloat ware & is fast & has a amazing picture! camera works good for a tablet & put extra sd card in for more storage! this is a great little tablet & the price is reasonable! do wish it had the ability to load samsung tv but its not available for this device! very simple wifi only 32gb, but has plenty for a little tablet & my is very happy with it! thanks samsung!!!!

I love that it has a camera so you can use it for pictures. The camera quality is decent for a tablet. The thing I love most about it is that the battery life last a long time! When I have things I am doing I want a long lasting battery and this tablet has a great long lasting battery life. Weather playing it or even just sitting. The battery life is great. I use this one over my old tablet now and I love it. I would recommend to anyone adults or children this is a good quality and brand tablet. This makes playing games a fun and exciting experience. You can also watch movies, go on social media, and so many other things. This tablet is a great pick.

First off it has a great screen size and colorful display that is very pleasing when I'm watching movies or videos, playing games, or reading and searching the web on my tablet. The colors are vibrant and very high definition. I love the size of this tablet as well because it makes it very easy to read and game on. The duel Dolby Atmos sound speakers put out clear sound and a good amount of bass. I have no problem hearing media on my tablet. The front and rear facing cameras take great pictures and videos too. The processor on this tablet is amazing for such a affordable tablet because there is virtually no lag time when I am loading videos or surfing the web. I also love the facial recognition when you open the tablet it really is a handy feature when you're using it. If you are wondering whether you should buy this tablet or not definitely buy it you'll be just as impressed with it as I am.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I have used many iPads over the years and never will I go back. This is one of the most user friendly tablets. The screen is very reactive even to the lightest touch and the colors from the screen are unrivaled. I have used it to watch movies and sometimes I would much rather use it then my TV. This tablet has great features. It’s very easy to hold for an extended period of time as it’s lightweight, it doesn’t get warm to the touch while using neither. I recently started school and this is great for reading papers and even doing the work itself. The camera is a great feature and is very clear and crisp makes it great for all the zoom meetings that so many of us using in this bizarre time. I can truly say I will not be going back to an iPad.

I expect this tablet to have a high durable build, a sleek design,a loud and good quality speaker, and a crystal clear and responsive screen. The affordability sacrifices some of the power of other models, but the cost based analysis works for me. If you are a high powered gamer, this probably isn't your bag...though it does the job, you may expect a bot more if you want to play competitively. But for the casual gamer, you will easily play the games you want to play with no issues. The screen is great and the audio is boastful for a small device. I believe this is a worthy purchase for the price.

The tablet is super fast and I've already expanded the memory by adding a micro SD card Watching videos on the tablet is fantastic because of the crystal clear picture and great sound. I also have been using the tablet to read books and because the tablet is so light weight it's easy to hold and just carry with me everywhere I go. I highly recommend this tablet, you can't go wrong with it.

The size of this tablet is a 10.4 screen which is great for all your apps you can download. The tablet has a speaker system that is great for listening to music and streaming your videos or viewing your favorite movie. The feature I love is the camera lets you switch between a video call or taking quick photos. The speakers has a dolby surround sound that is wonderful to listen to music. You can also scroll through your homemade video movies. The Samsung tablet allows you to add additional memory by inserting a micro SD card in the side slot. The memory you can add can up to 1 TB or less which is a great feature. Time gets away from you when you spend endless hours browsing on your tablet that the battery has a fast charging USB port that charges quickly. The slim design is nice size where you dont have to hold a bulky tablet. I am a firm believer in putting my electronics in a nice protector case. I purchased a case that fits perfectly to protect the tablet from accidental drops or screen scratches. The accessories you can get is a stylus pen which is nice to have. The tablet has easy to use and has a great operating system that connects to Wifi. You can easily take it anywhere you go. If you travel a lit it comes in handy reading a e book or streaming videos. It gas a great notepad for quick recipes and jotting down quick notes. The tablet can be great gift to someone you dont have to worry being tech savvy. It has a bright display which is great for night time use. The kids live this tablet fir playing games and mom likes it to play her card solitaire game. You can get this fantastic tablet just about anywhereSamsung products are sold. The Tablet has a nice Facial recognition feature which is a nice security feature. The thin design has a sturdy structure which is great for easy handling. It weight about 1.1 pounds which is great because it’s not heavy and bulky. It is ideal for those looking for a content consumption device from streaming services, some gaming and light productivity work. It will also work if you need a device to attend classes online and type some notes. It has good battery life too. The camera is good enough for video calls but won't replace your smartphone for photography needs. The processor can play all the games you want and run apps from the Play Store, but high-end productivity apps can cause the device to stutter. The display can also get really bright. Just like other Samsung devices we’ve seen in the past, you can push the brightness just that bit above the maximum setting and this helps with daytime viewing of content. Also watching Netflix on this tablet is awesome! It’s nice and crisp!!

First off let me just say the battery life on the A7 is great, I can use this tablet for days in between charges. I use it to play games, watch videos, check my emails, and browse the internet and I can go days between charges. I love how bright and colorful the display is on this tablet. The colors just pop and are so rich and vibrant. The sound quality is way better than my old tablet, the speakers are really surround sound so it feels like I'm listening to audio on much bigger speakers when I am using this tablet. The A7 is a very lightweight tablet despite its large 10.4 inch size. I love watching videos, scrolling the internet, and reading on this tablet because I don't have to strain my eyes due to the large bright screen. I love the facial recognition feature that I use to unlock my tablet. Another great feature of the A7 is it has a great quality camera so it takes high quality photos and video and is very easy to use. This tablet makes it easy for me to enjoy doing my schoolwork on as well as play games and watch other media, I couldn't be happier with my new A7 tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out the box, brand new, it doesn't work. there's a different set of problems & the same problems every day & the touch is non-responsive or delayed. day 1: it didn't properly samsung switch the data from my phone and my google calendar filled with some raunchy adult website link everyday until the end of time. i deleted the calendar events and wrote it off as a fluke. d 2: barely touched it. watched quibi, seemed fine. d 3: the phone asked me to install updates, i installed, then it asked again, i installed, then it asked again, and again, etc. i factory reset the phone. d 4: i reactivate the phone and samsung switch correctly transfered this time. i got an install updates request. i ignored it. i open the looney tune game, it stuck on a loading screen for 20+ mins. i try to sign into a t mobile app, nope. doesn't work either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unhappy and disappointed in Samsung i have sent this tablet back for repairs two times already. it is still showing "action required" for touchscreen and hard keys. the last time i got it back it said "found nothing wrong". yet it closes down for no reason and touchscreen doesn't always work. it is a defective unit from day 1 and i just threw away my money for something that doesn't work and they don't want to fix. it just makes me ill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screenshot not working/turns off constantly. I was very excited to get my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Tablet. I can't screenshot anything. It is slow and when I had trouble with it turning off constantly, Dell told me to call Samsung. They in turn told me to go to a store in a city near me and they were useless. He looked at it for 2 minutes and told me it was slow and that was it. He didn't want to help me. I felt like I got the run around. I finally factory reset it and, it isn't as bad as before. All I wanted was someone to help me get my screenshot to work and to make it so it wouldn't turn off all the time. It doesn't turn off as much anymore after the factory reset. But it would have been nice to have it work 100%. It has a warranty. It doesn't do me any good if no one will help me. I like the tablet otherwise. Just wish someone would have said "yes, send it back and we will fix it". Instead of sending me to that store that wanted nothing to do to help me.
