According to to sells rep, I had to return everything in my order because their system wouldn’t just let me return the watch and keep the SmartTag 2. So, I have to give the SmartTag 2 a one star….

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped me find my truck when it got stolen I originally bought a samsung tag to put under the seat of my truck due to my grandfather having dementia and was still able to drive. I never moved the tag after he passed away. I inherited the truck and took it to the airport while I was on vacation for a week. The vehicle was parked in the airport parking garage. My vehicle was stolen the second day into my vacation. The samsung tag showed me the entire history of where my truck had been, giving me the ability to call police departments in advance to watch out for the vehicle as I watched it travel south towards the mexican border. So very thankful for the samsung tag as it saved me from losing my only vehicle, no matter the damage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worse than previous versions I really had high hopes for these new tags, but man what a let down. These are slightly heavier than expected, but manageble. The biggest let down os the battery life and connection/location reliability. These were promoted to be a huge step up in reliability from previous models, which I've had all of them now. We use these on our kids backpacks, our key sets and our dogs collars. I started off just buying 2 to see how they are, and I'm glad I didnt buy more than that. I put these on our dogs collars, one lost connection within a week even though we live in a small apartment and don't walk the dogs more than 2 to 3 miles per day. It stugglss to connect even when its inside the house and we all have samsung phones and tablet. Worst so far is one of the tags died after a week and a half. I just put in a brand new battery 2 days ago, and just got an alert the battery is already about dead again. These definitely arent reliable for our intended use with the dogs if they ran off, let alone for our key sets or backpacks. Really had high hopes they'd finally be on the level of the Apple tags, but clearly no where near that.

MUST BUY GALAXY TAG!!

Able to make the tag ring and look for it with your camera to get precision accuracy. The tag also comes with little feautres that come handy upon what you decide the features to do.

Today for the first time I am seeing warnings SmartThings Samsung app stating that my battery is now too low. I have barely used the device, and I am surprised by the low life of the battery. I have tested the alert feature about two times since owning the SmartTag2. Two alerts does not make sense for such a low battery life.

Downloaded the app and tried to connect the device and it said it couldn't add it because a device had to be using Android 11 or higher. I'm using Android 12 on my Moto Edge Plus.

In photos, it looks significantly larger, however in person it's even more compact and ergonomic than I had anticipated. The new loop design at the top makes attaching it to things much easier, as now you're no longer limited to a small key ring - larger items like carabiners are possible. The lip is reinforced with metal, and feels as sturdy as it looks. Overall functionality of the tag seems similar to the previous generation, so I'm expecting battery life and ease of use to be similar and acceptable.

However within the two months it stopped working and I discovered that the battery holder and battery were no longer attached to the tag. It was only used once a week so it is clear the quality is not good enough. Poor design. Not worth the money. Maybe the battery should be held in by a screw rather than a plastic hook.

It’s very loud and distracting especially if you’re in a quiet setting. Maybe if it only made noise when I was actually looking for it via the app.

Sure doesn't work to well, if you lose site of animal while he is down the block. How well is it going to work at airport luggage facility when they span miles. Not sure it will work there at airport luggage facilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No good Will not shut up. It's constantly making noise. Obviously defective. Samsung support told me to take it to ubreakifix for diagnosis, then told me to just buy a new one even though this one is only two months old. It's a $20 disposable device. I'm not taking hours out of my day to bring it to a store that will only say "What? We can't do anything with this". I have 6 of these and 2 of them have the same problem. If you search you'll see many people are dealing with these tags constantly making 3 beeps over and over. The tag is trash, Samsung support is trash, and you should not waste you money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointing product. By the time I receive an alert on my phone that the tag is out of range, its long gone. I was told by support that the range is not adjustable. The fact that every single time either of my two tags are out of range, I have to manually set things for me to be alerted when either one is "found". Every. single. time.
