Better than the only other option.
For all the seeming flexibility of this case, it really only holds the tablet at one angle, and sacrifices protecting the screen to do it. The origami design looks nice but costs the case in functionality and protection. The construction is decent but the shape of the stand introduces failure points in the material. I would really prefer a raised lip design with sturdy bumpers and a kick stand if we're not making use of the three pin connection. This case as is is incompatible with protecting the pen or the screen. I still selected this case as my everyday use over the keyboard slim because it's easier to hold while drawing and I only had two choices. Now that third party cases which offer more protection are available In switching to that. If a detachable keyboard becomes available like we had for previous tab s ultras, I will switch back to using a samsung case.

Too much for too little
Seriously? For this price, you would expect some sort of keyboard or something to justify the exorbitant price.

Can't change view angle.
Have Samsung product designers lost their mind? This is worse design a tablet cover could have. How did it pass the product review process? You cannot do something very basic - change the angle of view. One has to prop it up with a solid object to change the view angle (usually a phone) and risk dropping that object everytime you close the cover. Bring back the old tablets covers.

I've seen better... From Samsung
Having just upgraded from the s9 ultra, this case is a giant step BACKWARD for Samsung. The s9 Ultra bookcover stayed closed on the screen. This one flaps loosely leaving the screen vulnerable to whatever sneaks in there. The 9 version accommodated portrait mode. This one doesn't. The 9 version securely held onto the pen (don't get me started on the pen downgrade), this one doesn't. I know Samsung CAN do better because they HAVE done better.

A little more thought
This Tab is very recent and the only cover available doesn't have a slot for the pen. I am going with not well thought out.

Look elsewhere
Received mine with 2 small rips, not easy to initiate return process. As others mention, no place to store pen. For this price, you would expect better.

Flap issue
The fact that the case is smart is convenient, however the flap that allows the case to be used hands free gets in the way because it doesn't stay closed when not in use.

It's nice looking
The cover is nice. But I dont like how the lid flops a little when I am holding it. I like the case I had on my Tab 8 Ultra. It was perfect! This one looks nice but again when I am holding it I dont like that the entire lid doesnt stay in place when I need to type or swipe. I does work well with the kick stand though.

What was Samsung thinking?
I am so confused - what was Samsung thinking? They produce the best tablet on the market with the most unbelievably brilliant screen, and to protect it they produce this janky glorified cardboard envelope that lost virtually all the functionality of previous generations. I'm coming from the Tab S8 Ultra, which had a perfect keyboard cover, detachable, with a track pad and backlit keys. This product is not Samsung-caliber - surprising that the company allowed it to see the light of day, and customers to waste their money on it. I say this as the ultimate Samsung fan.
