Rated 5 out of 5 by from Book Cover Keyboard unlocks full tablet featuresI am reviewing this as a part of the Insiders product testing group. I like the Galaxy Tab S4 Book Cover Keyboard, and really without it you would lose a lot of the functionality of the tablet itself. By plugging in the keyboard you can put the tablet into Dex mode and use it like a small laptop. The keys are strong and well-designed, and the cover protects the screen from damage. I especially like the holster for the S-pen, which would probably get lost if I didn't have that dedicated spot for it. Overall I would say that the Book Cover Keyboard is essential to using the Galaxy Tab S4 at its full capabilities. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sidekick to a Great Device!I was fortunate enough to review this device as an Insider. I highly recommend the addition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 keyboard/cover for those who want to get the most out of the new cutting edge and useful features that Samsung has incorporated into the build of the Galaxy Tab S4. Samsung has done a tremendous job in transforming the Galaxy Tab S4 into a “Laptop Killer” running on Android 8.1 Oreo. With the addition of Samsung DeX, the Tab S4 provides a desktop style environment and improved multitasking with individual windows. I was able to easily have 8 to 10 android apps open at a time with no slowdown of the system and with the ability to move them around, resize them (like Windows), or go full-screen size with just one app. I would previously use my 6th gen “other” tablet more for email, web browsing, and gaming. However, when I needed to conduct other types of activities that involved heavier keyboard use, I found myself switching over to my personal computer or laptop to complete these tasks. I was pleasantly surprised that this was no longer necessary with the Tab S4 and I was able to utilize the keyboard and/or pen to quickly accomplish these tasks. Thank you Samsung for including key Microsoft apps (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneDrive, and Skype) so that I feel that I have a portable office when I have my device with me. The keyboard doubles as a stand and case for the Tab S4 and the tablet clicks into place with the keyboard. While I did find the angle of the tablet at a good angle for most tasks, since you cannot adjust the angle, the angle of the screen is locked in just one position. I hope that in the future, Samsung does change this so that the screen is able to be moved/viewed at various angles. I really liked the tactile feel of the keyboard and felt the spacing on the keyboard was not too close together as with other smaller keyboards that I have used in the past. One suggestion for Samsung would be to make the keys back-lit for nighttime typing. For those users who decide against purchasing the keyboard, Samsung does include an on-screen keyboard button which brings up a small version of the native full-screen Android keyboard. It’s helpful if you want to type using your voice, or add emoji’s or stickers. However, you would be doing yourself a favor by adding the keyboard/cover if you do want to take your high end tablet and fully utilize the DeX technology and tools. It makes for a completely different experience similar to a pc laptop that is truly special. #GalaxyTabS4Insiders [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The keyboard is nice butIts is nice how the key board locks in and DeX will start up. The bad part is the stylus holder will fall off with a slight bump. It falls off so easily. So you can't rely on it so spending 150 and then you need to go by a different case to carry your tablet. A case that can cost $15 but will hold on to the stylus. Which is not cheap to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great, pen holder can come offThe keyboard on the Book Cover works as advertised. The tablet goes into Dex mode as soon as you "dock" the S4 into the keyboard. However, when using the tablet without the keyboard, and folding the book cover back, the pen holder can come off. It would help if the pen holder was attached with adhesive, like the pen holder on the Tab S3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lang KeyIt feels alright but I never know what the key "Lang" is for since wherever I click it nothing comes out, and it seems unable to switch language. So is it ever possible to switch language only on this physical keyboard? How?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels durable! So, I like the fact that it is the official keyboard for the Tab S4, but it is kind of stiff in my opinion. I mean it can only have the tablet at one angle all the time, and the POGO connectors have to always be touching for the input to go through. I am typing this review with the keyboard cover and honestly my hands are feeling kind of cramped. I also don't like the fact that when I open the cover, the screen doesn't automatically turn on the screen. It does however feel like it is high quality and that it will protect the screen, but I don't think it warrants the other downsides to it. The key travel is also kind of weird. For example the backspace feels like it doesn't work or like it just a key with not resistance and a weird noise, but the middle keys make a different sound. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent AccompanimentThe Galaxy Tab S4 Book Cover Keyboard is an excellent accompaniment to the Tab S4. The cover is a sleek black case that is both appealing and subtle. I enjoy the ease of being able to switch between using the tab as a tablet or converting it to use the keyboard. The only thing I didnt care for was the pen holder. It popped of fairly easily. You also had to make sure you pushed the pen in enough or it continuously fell out. I know I almost lost my pen several times because of this issue. Other than the flaw with securing the pen, it is a great keyboard a d cover. Easy to use, not bulky, nice sleek design. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fails at a basic levelI have not had any of the problems with the pen holder reported by others, but unfortunately, the keyboard has a fatal flaw. It regularly inputs 2 characters for one press of the key (ie, "thhis keybooard reallly suucks"). This happens across all apps and pretty regularly. I am able to type on every other keyboard I use without this problem, and it's been reported by multiple users in the Samsung forum. It's frustrating and impacts productivity. You either have to keep backspacing and fixing typos or carefully proofread anything you are sending out, which takes time and breaks concentration. This is a $150 - $200 keyboard, depending on where you get it. It should work without problems. Samsung either needs to release a software fix or issue a recall for defective keyboards. Until then, I can only give this device 1 star. You can see the forum post here:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy Tab S4 Book Cover KeyboardThis cover works well for a tablet cover/keyboard combo. It has a nice spot to hold the pen, and a magnetic closure that also triggers the tablet to go to sleep or wake up. I like the fact that you don't have to worry about pairing the keyboard since it has physical contacts for communication, as well as the fact that is does not have to be charged in addition to charging the tablet itself. The keys are a bit small, but that is to be expected if you want to fit them all in a space the size of a tablet. I do appreciate the fact that it has separate arrow keys and other function keys (Ctrl, Alt, etc.). The only odd thing about key placement I noticed was that the top row felt like it was a little left of where I expected it. I found myself hitting "=" quite often when I mean to be hitting "-". Other than that it has a nice feel and performs quite well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Book CoverI am loving this book cover keyboard! The only thing I do not like about it is that the S Pen tends to fall out if it isn't properly snapped in and will still fall off at times. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential to the Galaxy Tab S4When I first received my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 that I purchased through the insiders campaign, honestly I was prepared to leave the keyboard case off. I was a 99% media consumer, not much of a producer of anything. Well when I first inspected the cover my plans changed. From first look, it just adds so much to the tablet, in terms of protection, usefulness and capabilities. The previous versions of this keyboard, specifically for the Tab S3, felt cramped to my larger hands, like I had to mash my fingers together in order to type anything. This keyboard version feels a bit more spaced out and I can easily type and perform tasks I need to do.The keys feel good to type on and I am able to type for long periods of time without getting that cramped hand feeling I usually get from mobile device keyboards. The cover is well built and feels good as a case for the tablet. I really like the holder for the magnificent S pen and how the keyboard case keeps the pen right there at the ready for any time I want to use it. For me, the display angle when using the tablet and keyboard combo is about the perfect fit. Whether I’m sitting at a table typing away, or laying on my bed, it keeps the tablet in the optimal position for typing and viewing. All in all, I cannot imagine getting the tablet and not getting the keyboard cover from Samsung. It greatly enhances the usability and productivity capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and does it all in a stylish, comfortable quality package. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid keyboard transforms the Tab S4I reviewed this as a participant in an Insiders Campaign. The Samsung Tab Book Cover Keyboard transforms the Tab S4 from a device that’s great for entertainment into one that’s also great for work. Adding a keyboard to the Tab S4 adds productivity that far exceeds using a virtual keyboard. The keys have a wonderful feel and good travel. The only major complaint I have is the size, which feels a little cramped. Some keys, such as the Shift keys, have been shrunk down to fit, but it’s not something that you can’t adapt to over time. Another item that would be helpful is a touchpad, but it’s not absolutely necessary since you can always touch the screen to move the cursor around. For my purposes, which are a mix between personal and work, a keyboard case is a must so it’s nice that Samsung offers one with their most premium tablet. However, what would be nicer is if it were included, as opposed to being sold separately for $150. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just okayI finally took my tablet out of the DeX book cover keyboard. Too many apps don't work well horizontally with it and it is very heavy. The pen is always falling out of the pen holder and that is annoying. The keys on the book cover case don't light up and they are hard to see during the day. They are also cramped. I prefer my laptop.By itself, I like the tablet. The picture is great and I bought a cheaper case for it and am happy with it. So tablet great, but buy a regular case!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice keyboard but no protectionThe first week I had my tablet "protected" but this cover, it fell off the couch to the tile floor below, a drop of less than two feet.....not only did the screen crack but so did the little piece that was supposed to hold the S-Pen in place. Of course with the S-Pen no longer attached to the cover, it only took another week before that was lost. Bad design IMHO

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice to have and holds the pen wellA very good cover to have on the go and holds the pen very well. I will point out there are some inconveniences with it. Seems like the keyboard has gotten laggy lately, but this might be due to the pins getting dirty? I also notice that remove the tablet from the keboard pin will have it auto-lock which seems like a feature that should be optional rather than default. The keyboard also doesnt have a home button which would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible design for pen holderI haven't even had this thing a month and I've already lost my pen. The little holder on the side is detachable and comes off very easily. So, I not only don't have a pen, but I can't even order a new holder for it even if I did buy a new one. I wish I never bought this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complete The Experience! The case compliments the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. The keyboard case looks and feels nice. Just snap the Galaxy S4 into the case and slide the S-Pen into the holder. The S-Pen holder is also removable and snaps back on easily. The keyboard connects to the Tab S4 with POGO pin connectors. The keyboard does not require charging since it draws power from the TabS4. The case has all the necessary cutouts. The keyboard keys are slightly small and does require some time getting used to typing. With the keyboard it makes the Tab S4 more productive. The cover is a slim design and provides protection for the Tab S4. In order to use the DeX interface mode I recommend the book keyboard cover. The cover also serves as a stand. The design and fit of the cover works flawlessly with the Galaxy S4. Without the keyboard you are missing ½ the value of the only 2 in 1 in the Android market. Thank you to the #Insiders for selecting me to review the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but 2 bugsThe keyboard is good (although it increases the weight of an already heavy tablet) but* The pen holder falls off too easily* How the heck l do you remove the tablet without 5 minutes of using fingernails and straining at the corner? I'm genuinely concerned about damaging the cover and maybe even the tablet - it takes a lot of force and cannot be done swiftly or elegantly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this keyboardI love this book cover keyboard. It makes this a true replacement for a heavy laptop for daily use. My only feedback is the pen holder. My pen always falls out. I have to be super aware at all times on where my pen is! They need to make this pen magnetic or do something to keep it in place on the keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leader of the PackThe Galaxy Tab S4 Cover Keyboard is the best I've seen. I love the magnetic connection, it's cool it lets you pop the Tablet in with no problems. The S-pen holder comes in very handy, especially if you're like me and are misplacing your S-pen between uses. The cover itself is very well made, of high quality & so soft, luxury materials went into putting it together because it's really nice. It holds the Tablet nice and firm, you really have nothing to worry about once it's in place, you know it's safe. I'm blessed to be sharing the review of this product as an Insider! I definitely recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FunctionalI got the keyboard with my new tab S4 and it works really well and is functional. The one annoying thing about it though is that when the tablet is disconnected from the keyboard it turns off the tablet when that may not be what you want to happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK if you are trying to make your tablet a laptopI found the keyboard very small and the keys a little hard to press. To me, the sign of a good tablet is one that does not need a keyboard or stylus to use. If you want a keyboard I would recomend getting a laptop instead of a tablet. I found the stylus redendent ... why not just use your fingers? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and functionalThe Samsung’s Book Cover Keyboard works great in combination with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 tablet. It doesn’t only look stylish and beautiful it is also very functional. It is a sturdy and durable cover and keeps your tablet protected. It is also handy to carry your tablet around for when you are traveling and on the go. The Samsung Tab S4 is easy to put inside the cover and keeps the tablet securely in place. The keyboard is part of the cover and folds right over the screen. The magnet that closes the cover is built into the edge of the keyboard. When the cover is closed it really protects your tablet and it keeps your tablet securely in place. The keyboard also functions as a stand for the Tab S4 and the tablet clicks right into place whey you want to use the keyboard. The keyboard is wonderful. The keys are easy to touch and are spaced out so it doesn’t feel cramped. The keys feel lightweight when typing especially when working in Dex mode. The only thing that would be a great improvement would be a backlit keyboard. The cover also has a holder for the S pen which is included with the tablet. The cover really gives the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 that premium look and feel and protection. Great for traveling or just when using the tablet at home. It makes your tablet go from a tablet to a laptop with the use of this cover with keyboard. When you want to have the full experience of what your Tab S4 can do this cover with keyboard is a necessity! Highly recommend it. Thanks to the Insiders for giving me the opportunity to review this book cover keyboard. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tablet keyboard packed with all necessary featuresIts been 3 weeks since using the Tab S4. The Keyboard seems good to use, but still lacks some features. The Dex Mode dock slot fits perfectly as needed. Unlike Apple, there are two small grooves other than the smart connector that holds the keypad. The Keypad looks almost as the Windows keypad, but some keys are located at different position. There is a Search button but as of now, hard to understand when to use it. Also, clicking the Keypad icon doesnt always bring up the on-screen keyboard. Also there is a Lang key and unsure what its for. The Keyboard keys has slight clicking noise which I really like as I am used to clicky sounds. Dont like the placement of the S Pen, as the S Pen holder is to the right of the keyboard, and the connector is a bit weak and easy to lose it. I would have liked a Pen holder that is a bit more secure and located at top of keyboard, not on the sides. The keyboard cover has a good grip when holding it, so holds well. When using flash, noticed that there is some extra flash reflection of light from edges of the case. One other missing feature is that when the cover is opened, the screen doesnt automatically show, and user has to tap the Lock/Unlock button and then unlock it. All in all, its a good keyboard, but still needs some kinks to be better. Reviewing as part of an Insider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cute and Very Simple to UseThis is a really great Tab S4 Book Cover Keyboard. My only wish would be a track pad like Samsung had for the Galaxy Tab S2. Backlit keyboard would be nice too, but that would cause battery drain. I really must say, I really love the look and feel of this cover. The stroking of the keys feels smooth and spaced just right. You have a Galaxy Tab S4, then it is a MUST HAVE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS THING NEEDS BACKLIT ASAPEverytime I try to type at night in this thing I have to turn on the lights. That beats the convenience of using a small tablet at night in your bed or desk since it has no backlit keyboard. How hard was it to include this must have feature in this expensive keyboard? Come on Samsung do an updated Book Cover Keyboard with BACKLIT PLEASE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice...but a bit too expensiveThis add-on for the new Tab S4 really expands what you can use the Tab S4 for. The keyboard has a very nice feel, and typing on it works well for me in spite of the compact size. Other than the price (why so expensive?), I like most everything about it. Typing on it is great, it is easy to insert and remove the tablet, or to fold down as a protective case for the tablet. The way the tablet/screen and the keyboard/case fit together seem well thought out--the charging and other ports are still easy to access when in the holder, and the sound is decent for such as small device. Using the S Pen while the tablet is in the keyboard works flawlessly, and I've often mixed and match all three input methods--keyboard, finger touch, and S pen touch. I'd say this add-on is a great purchase if you want to get more use out of the Tab S4 and use it in place of any more clunky laptop or notebook computer you've been using. Great for notetaking without lugging along a bigger computer. The only negatives I can think of are 1) Still seems more expensive than it needs to be, and 2) Not sure I'd trust the S pen holder, would be afraid of losing it. Other than that--very nice and useful, and hope to get much use out of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you love convenience the case is a must.As part of the insiders program I was given the privilege of testing the product. I had the case for a month thus far the case makes the S4 tab usage extremely convenient. The case has a vey executive feeling and look.Personally I love the fact that it gives me sense of a 2 in 1 not a tablet . This product makes the tablet feel like a ultrabook with the advantage that is far lighter weight wise . Thanks to the case I am able to accomplish more specially when trying to do work from home or even on the go because, of their multi window feature I can navigate a few pages at the same time like using 2 screens at work when working on expenditure sheets etc. It extremely easy to install however there are two things that will defiantly make it and even better product one major advantage will be to add light to the keys for those that work during late hours and two possible redesign were the pen is held since it can fall off rather easily. Other than that I am a happy costumer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides Great ProtectionI believe the keyboard book cover serves better as protection for the tab s4 then functioning as a keyboard. I used the tab s4 for emails and found my wireless keyboard to be more comfortable. The ability to have the keyboard in the case in all scenarios with you makes this a must have accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard, almost perfect coverThe Galaxy Tab S4 Book Cover Keyboard has a luxurious feel and looks great. The keyboard is responsive, solid and a pleasure to use. The fact that it does not require separate power or charging is a real difference maker. This makes the tablet a serious machine that can let you leave your laptop at home while traveling. My biggest issue is with the pen holder. While removable, you cannot reverse the side. For me a right side option would be better than the left side. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functionality, convenience, and protection. When I first received the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, I used it by itself because I wanted to get the full experience without any additional accessories and I really enjoyed it. Then I added the Keyboard cover and I went to using it for about 95% of my normal daily tasks. I even went so far as to use it instead of my work notebook during meetings as it was easier to carry, took up less desk space, and was very easy to type on. Three of the best things about the Tab S4 are, 1) The way the tablet magnetically locks into the groove above the keyboard to prevent it from accidently coming out and the stylus. The stylus simplifies and expedites a bunch of tasks, note taking, switching apps, markups, however, having to put the stylus into my bag and then dig it out each time was a little frustrating. 2) The Keyboard Cover’s built in stylus holder is a huge win. It keeps the stylus with the tablet, it is removable if you don’t wish to use it, and has a very noticeable ‘click’ as the stylus locks into it. 3) Added protection against scratches and cracks due to covering the from and the back of the Tab S4. The battery life is also fantastic. I charge it at night, unplug it in the morning, and then do not have to charge it until before bed. I only wish my phone lasted that long. All in all, the keyboard cover has been an amazing addition to an already fantastic product.Once again, I am so happy to be an Insider! Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Number One Tablet AccessoryAs an Insider, I was recently given the opportunity to try out Samsung's new Book Cover Keyboard, paired with the new Galaxy Tab S4, and until now, I didn't realize great tablet keyboards existed. Samsung's Book Cover Keyboard is beautiful! Wrapped in a charcoal gray, lightly textured soft touch material, it looks and feels premium and durable. This is the kind of case you can take into an important business meeting without feeling self-conscious. The Tab S4 snaps firmly and securely inside the cover, and the keyboard folds over the tablet screen. The whole thing closes with a magnet built into the edge of the keyboard that attaches securely to the tablet. When folded, the tablet is rather thick (nearly as thick as a small laptop), but it offers great protection. I feel very confident that my Tab S4 won't ever fall out of this case. Using the keyboard is a delight! This is a full featured keyboard including a number row along the top. Since the Tab S4 is a bit wider than other tablets, the keys on the keyboard are more comfortably spaced, and they feel nice and clicky with a good amount of travel. Additionally, the keyboard features a removable holder for the S Pen that comes included with the Tab S4. Aside from being a bit thick, and a little heavy, I haven't found anything to dislike about Samsung's Book Cover Keyboard. It's beautifully designed and engineered, it's durable, it's pleasant to type on, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I feel that if you're purchasing a Galaxy Tab S4, this cover is the number one essential accessory; especially if you plan on using the tablet in DeX mode. It adds a whole new level to the experience, and I can't recommend it enough. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Tab S4 Keyboard CoverThis tablet keyboard cover is amazing. I have had keyboards and covers for previous tablets but none of them compare to this one. The auto on/off feature on this cover is perfect. Every time you open the cover the tablet responds. The keyboard is very easy to use. While it isn't a big keyboard it functions perfectly. All of the keys are sensitive to touch and work every time. If I could add one thing to the keyboard it would be the 10 key. That is personal preference though. Thanks to the insiders for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to to experience and review this wonderful Samsung product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent keyboard - minor issuesI bought this back in August along with my Tab S4 and waited to open the tablet for 2 weeks until this keyboard cover arrived after backorder. I really like the size and feel of the keyboard. There is a nice feel to the keys, almost like a regular computer keyboard. The viewing angle is excellent for all landscape operations and the tablet is very secure when plugged into the keyboard. The only issues I have is that the stylus holder seems to fall off with just a little bump even though I make sure it is securely attached. And, on my keyboard, the right side of the space key doesn't work, I have to tap it in the middle or right. Samsung is taking care of that for me which is great.Overall a very good keyboard cover for my Tab S4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Great Keyboard & CoverI purchased the Galaxy Tab S4 Keyboard Cover about two months ago. My use of the keyboard is I must say, positive. With that, my rating for the Keyboard Cover a 4.75 star, you'll learn why I lift out that quarter in the third paragraph of the body. There are no worries of having to charge the battery, because there are none. The keyboard receives it's power from the Tab S4 Tablet itself. No need to to pair it via Bluetooth or WiFi. It is very easy and very simple to do to get the keyboard to work, all that must be done is click the tablet in the case, just be sure to have the rear camera as it must be aligned with the cutout slot of the cover. There are 4 contacts on what would would now be the bottom of the tablet that connects to four pins on the keyboard when in the cradled position. The keys and the home-row is very simple to find without having to look at the keyboard itself, because of the bump on on the bottoms of the "F" key and "J" key. The keys are spaced not too far apart making it comfortable for the hands. Now, there are only two reasons why I didn't give a full 5 star, I wish there was a trackpad with a courser on the screen. Also, I kinda wish the keys had backlighting o make it possible to see the keyboard in a not so well lit environment. But at the same time, having the keyboard light would cause for more battery consumption of the Tab S4. I would most defiantly purchase the keyboard all over again if I had to. I do highly recomend of you to purchase this, it adds a great deal of added features and usefulness. But all in all, what a great keyboard!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An optional at best accessoryI wanted to love this keyboard. I really really did. I thought the only thing missing from the perfect tablet, was a keyboard. I hate to admit it, but I was wrong. I found myself removing this keyboard more often than using it. I even purchased a cover for the tablet that didn't have a keyboard just to avoid using the thing. When trying to use the tablet for reading the keyboard gets in the way even when folded all the way back. When trying to use the tablet in Dex mode, the keyboard is useful, but the entire interface is poor in my opinion. The keyboard is flimsy, and does not give me a feeling of stability or sturdiness. Since this keyboard was created specifically for this talik, I or had really hoped it would match the high end feel and features of the tablet it was designed to protect and be used with. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very user Friendly! This attachable keyword snaps together with the Galaxy Tab S4 super fast and easy . It is just as easy to take apart. My daughter takes her tablet with keyboard cover to school for some of her high school classes ,it works perfect for that . She carries it in her backpack and the cover has protected it really well . The detachable S Pen holder keeps her from losing her S pen . For the keyboard to be so small ,the keys are normal sized and easy to use . I tried this book cover keyboard through the Insiders program! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tablet sleeps when keyboard disconnectsI like everything about this product except for the fact that a slight bump can cause the keyboard to disconnect for a split second and put the tablet to sleep. This is also annoying when you are switching between typing on a desk to carrying your device as a regular tablet. I hope they fix this with a software update but it is unbearable. Other than that it looks good, functions well and is nice a slim for a keyboard case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Companion Keyboard to the Galaxy Tab S4The book cover keyboard that accompanies the Galaxy Tab S4 is a solidly built, well operating device. The keys have a decent amount of travel, a solid feeling "click" when pressing the keys, and the size of the keys work for most any finger. The nifty part about the keyboard is the magnetic connector that signals to the tablet that the keyboard is attached and operable. Forget flimsy Bluetooth keyboards that take forever to connect! If you’re a fan of putting the Tab S4 into DeX mode, this keyboard makes it infinitely easier to operate. And it makes DeX behave more like a desktop computer replacementOn the side of the keyboard is a convenient holder for your S Pen. However, it's easy to knock off when shoving the cover into a bookbag. So, beware.Overall, the book cover keyboard provides an adequate amount of protection for the Tab S4, along with a solid, usable keyboard. It’s the best keyboard to use with the Tab S4, hands down. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible design flawsCovers up all 4 speakers with plastic, so everything sounds tinny and staticky. If you plan to use the speakers on the tablet, do not get this keyboard. The Dex? software that the tablet wants to switch over to when you connect the keyboard doesn't work well with many apps and they won't work at more than a cell phone size display. Some features of these apps won't work at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lacks Function Keys (F2, F3, etc)TL;DR: No function keys (F2, F3, etc.) makes this keyboard less useful for work (using Epic, Excel, etc.). However, this is the best case/keyboard solution around, which is why I would recommend it as long as you know the limitations. So this tablet and keyboard combination is ostensibly supposed to be a laptop replacement, but the keyboard lacks the function keys that would allow it to do that. While the keyboard itself is well-built, holding the tablet well, and the keys actually feel good to type on (despite being not full-sized), not having the function keys (F2, F3, F4) makes it so that working in Epic or Excel is impossible.I'm typing this review on the keyboard right now and touch typing works decently, with the exception being the top row is so condensed that I will mistype the symbols above (need too shift my finger reach a litte to the left for each one). In Epic, you can customize hot keys onscreen to simulate key presses, to include the function buttons, so I just do that and it isn't too bad, since poking the screen at the F2 is about where the actual key would have been. No easy solution in Excel. I thought that I would hate the S Pen holder, but it actually works really well and isn't as annoying as I thought it would be.Cons:- Lacks function keys- No backlight- Only one position on the stand- touch typing the number row is hit or miss- No touchpad/pointer controlPros:- Build quality- Compact size- Customize tablet attach/detach actions (mine does not activate Dex)- S Pen holder is actually pretty good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboardKeyboard works well, keys are a little cramped but you'll get used to it. Cover protects the Tab S4 well and styles stays in the holder even in transport. Good durable material, magnet works well, recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have!I was lucky to get the opportunity to review this product as an insider. The cover keyboard is a must have for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. It truly makes this tablet. I love how it completely turns a normal tablet into a portable laptop. Even with its small size its very easy to use. I don't find myself touching multiple buttons at once. They're spaced far enough apart. I love how it has a spot to hold the S pen. Very convenient so I don't lose it. I also enjoy having the added protection of the case. Definitely a must have for any tablet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small yet effectiveThis keyboard for the Galaxy Tab S4 is small yet super effective. The feel of the keys easily remind me of typing on a laptop. While the keyboard is smaller than a typical keyboard the keyboard does not feel cramped nor did I have any finger/hand fatigue while typing. The cover is slim and the shell in which the tablet snaps into the case makes the unit feel extremely secure. The outside material has a nice texture and feels high quality and durable. The tablet is extremely secure and stable once in the upright position. Even during a recent flight with turbulence, the unit never fell over. The only 2 downfalls to the case is 1) no backlit keys and 2) the S Pen holder can fall off easily. Overall, I think the keyboard case is an excellent accessory and a must buy if you own the Tab S4. *I received this keyboard as part of the Insiders campaign.
