Rated 5 out of 5 by from Champagne Silver is the color of my drive... And it is wonderful. This is well worth the price! It transfers files so fast... no waiting for it to transfer files over. The transfer speeds are listed as 300MB/s, but I suspect it was actually much faster. I did try transferring some files and I blinked and it was done! I wish everything transferred as fast. The casing is lovely and has a hefty, solid feel to it. The casing has a hole on the opposite end from the USB which would work not only as a key ring, as the specs say but may be stuck on a ball chain as a necklace. I like that it is waterproof and temperature proof, no more worries if you accidentally leave it in the car. Shockproof is also another nice feature, no worries about it breaking when it slips out of your hands. And 128 gigabytes of space is lots of room for videos, photos, files or programs. Rated 5 out of 5 by from great design and performance I purchased over 80 different sets of flash media for testing to determine the best/falsest/most cost effective for use in a very large deployment of new systems. the Samsung Bar Plus line tested the best accross the board. i would recommend that strong consideration be given to the 128Gb version. the increased transfer speeds are well worth the few additional dollars. That being said, the 64Gb drives performed flawlessly and held up for the deployment.

I am used to the cheap plastic feel of other brands but the Samsung Bar Plus is solid and doesnt feel like it will break or fall apart if dropped. I like that it is also waterproof and I found out that it really is after my drink fell over on my pants. It is fast and I actually had to create a USB restore drive and I was expecting that it would take awhile but it was ready to go in under 10 minutes. Great price for what you get. I use it when I am mixing to save my files quickly. I use it when I need to transport large music files fast and this drive is doing a great job with that. I am often very hard on my drives as they go in my backpack or my pocket, on my lanyard or one of the many of situations I put it through. It has done very well with all and any circumstances of use. This is such a small but powerful drive and it amazed me. It transfers data at high speeds no matter what you are storing on the drive. Be it music, photos or documents you will be more than happy with the speed of this drive. It can hold thousands of pictures and loads of music. The only thing I wish is that it had a light on it so you can see when it's working but that's a small feature. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a large capacity, fast flash drive. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's nice, but extremely slow The metal body is sleek and seems well built. The form looks great and doesn't get in the way of other drives. One issue is the write and read speeds are very slow. I've run many tests and I'm getting 25 mbs. The same as my USB 2 devices. It's a good price for a large amount of memory. Just don't trust their reported speeds. "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" doesn't mean anything about normal write speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Major Caveat, but Otherwise Fine In a world of super-fast SSDs, the rejects seem to all end up in these drives. Can't complain as much being on the lower end (regarding speeds- especially write, though it's a decent bit better than the worst drives I've had), but being an all-metal drive this will heat up if you're filling a good chunk of it. That's not my caveat- but rather being all-metal this WILL be disruptive to wireless devices in and around your computer. Annoying for things like my laptop which only run on WiFi. 5 year warranty seems nice, but time will tell if this holds up.

Its what my roommate would say, "Hefty" like its heavily good. Yes its got some weight to it but it should since its made of metal. It lets you know that it can handle hard drops hence the shockproof. Its also a plus knowing that it is waterproof although i don't recommend it but I have my days where i accidentally put it through the washer. As a wanna be IT guru I recommend this flash drive. With speeds up to 200mb meaning it transfers and reads files really fast. How fast? 3GB 4K UHD video file from your Bar Plus to your PC in just 10 seconds, that fast. What i also like about this flash drive is it's simple, sleek design. It feels and looks luxury but you pay a reasonable price for its functionality and everything else is a huge bonus. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Static electricity problem I bought two 64GB USB sticks for my DJ sets. One works fine, while I experienced shameful failure on decks with another: I put it in Pioneer CDJ/XDJ deck and after couple of tracks when I accidentally touched the USB stick I felt an electric discharge and both linked Pioneer decks just switched on the emergency loop mode, and I was not able to do anything besides restarting them -- so I needed to stop the music to full dancefloor. After restart the USB stick started working normally until the next electric discharge to the same failure. Different forums says there are such a static electricity problem with some of metal USB sticks with defective electrical insulation. I returned the USB to retailer, explained the problem, but they refused to replace it or refund saying it's fully operational. Very disappointed and would definitely not recommend this product to any DJ.

I do wished there was a light showing when it’s working but overall it’s very attractive and works well. I’ve done some testing for shockproof, waterproof, magnet and temperature proof. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The USB ro rule all others This USB easily replaces all of my other ones. From being in IT, i have almost a drawer full of USB's, between cheap ones, and then decent ones. Well now I've cleared it out and only this one sits in there. It is very fast, im hitting about 200-250MB/s constantly. Its very small and does not have a light on it, so it may be easy to lose for some, so just be mindful of that. Other than that, i am entirely happy and love my new USB stick! It can withstand all my every day hazards that can be thrown its way. This includes everything from the dust and lint from my pocket to an unexpected water event such as rain. The exterior paint finish can even resist the scratches from being on my key ring. The storage space and transfer performance are everything you can expect from a 3.0 usb flash drive. It is the exact same length as a previous 16GB drive I used to keep with me. I enjoy the style of this drive as well. Performance has been excellent. Zero issues with recognizing the drive in a variety of USB ports. Speed has been consistent to upper transfer rates for each port type. I am very happy with this drive and would recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great, until it didn't this product worked great for a couple years, then one day the transfer rate got horrible, and the next time i plugged it in, it caused my computer to lock up due to endlessly trying to load the drive. the drive also began getting very hot when plugged in; good thing i had the files backed up elsewhere!

Two of them can only write at max 25 mb/s. The read speeds are in the 205 mb/s area. I'm using a Macbook Pro with USB-c thunderbolt 3 ports. I also tried on a Windows 10 machine with superspeed USB 3 ports. The results are the same. Tried reaching Samsung support but they automatically disconnect after approx. 18 minutes of phone waiting time. These drives are not reliable. This is unfortunate because I have used Samsung EVO drives in the past and they are great. Going to return all 4 to Amazon.

Also don't have to worry about it falling of my keychain because the loophole is built in and the body of this usb drive is one solid piece. Only thing is that it seems to get scratched easily, besides that it seems very durable and sleek. It's great for transferring data when I'm away from home and didn't carry anything to transfer data with. Just whip out my keychain and plug in and go. Great product overall. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design. I recently purchased a USB 3.1 flash drive from Samsung. The first thing I noticed when looking at the package was, wow this is tiny. The Flash drive is one of the smallest drives I've seen that contains 128GB. Just think about 128GB of data that can fit almost everywhere and able to access that data at just about SSD speeds. You can technically use this drive as a computer hard drive and boot from it, even install an operating system. The second thing I noticed when I received the package is the styling. It looks very premium, modern and solid. When transferring a large data file I noticed it copied over like this was an internal hard drive. Not all computers have USB 3.1 but it will work with 3.0 and 2.0 drives as well just not as fast. Overall I hope these flash drives get smaller, faster, larger, cheaper eventually you will be able to back up your entire existence into your pocket.   [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This must be a dud or fake. I have a 128 3.0 that's been everywhere w/o problems. Are we having problems with the larger capacity? Trust is waning...

I can use it for so many different things like saving my work files, to personal pictures and videos. I always have it on the go for everything I need since I'm always doing new projects and work. I can keep everything organized and easily transfer files from one computer to another. I used to buy 6GB flash drives and I'd always get so frustrated because they never lasted long or I constantly had to override them and save files elsewhere. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and fast! I've been shopping around for new thumb sticks for a few months. All of mine are old, slow, and low capacity. Enter: THIS! First off, let me say that this memory stick is small. However, the build quality is fantastic. The exterior is metal which I wasn't expecting. Secondly, let me say that the speeds are soooooo much faster than the memory stick I've got. It performs 10x (sometimes more) than what I have. The third and final thing that makes me happy about my purchase is the warranty. I can't speak for others but knowing I've got a 5 year warranty completely solidified this deal. I am a very happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick processing So I work as a Technician/Service Advisor for Hyundai and we have to download the AVN updates for customers cars; well when using some of the cheaper options since they bulk purchased so we would have one for each Trim and Model, they would take extremely long for a small download to process to the flash, then to the vehicle. So I went ahead and got the Bar 64GB since I am a diehard Samsung Supporter. Well let me tell you, it took a 1/4 of the time to load data onto the flash and then to the vehicle. We got rid of the cheap brand and went with Samsung Bar from then on. Recommend to anyone in business, office, or home use. Amazing product! Keep it up Samsung!
