Two EVO SSD's primary and carbon backup, works great now issues. I had issues with OS and Games in past, restoring is easier too. Tho you could separate OS from game since I have 2 SSD's but I don't see much benefits, having backup is much better.

Why upgrade?
I have always loved Samsung products. Being an avid PC gamer, I do what I can to put as much Samsung into my computer. I have always wanted an M.2 but never saw the bed too upgrade my SSD. I an aware that an M.2 is lightyears faster when it comes to storage. It doesn't seem to matter though co.paring to my SSD. That's the only thing holding me back from upgrading is that I don't have any complaints when it comes to my SSD. I'm sure one day I will upgrade to the next Samsung storage device, right now though my SSD is still kicking strong and providing me with a great gaming experience.

Cost effective and incredibly reliable.
I used this hard drive when I built my first computer since then I've used the SSD for years in diffrent computers. I've been upgrading parts that weren't performing as needed or simply broke but I've never had an issue with either of my 870 evo's.

Alright, so I just got my hands on the Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD, the 2.5-inch SATA one, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. I was running on an old hard drive, and the difference is like night and day.
Seriously, booting up my computer now is ridiculously fast – like, blink and you might miss it fast. Applications that used to take their sweet time loading now pop open almost instantly. Even just opening and saving files feels so much snappier. It's like my whole system got a serious shot of adrenaline.
One of the things I really appreciate is that it just works. No complicated setup or anything. Just plugged it in, and my computer recognized it right away. Plus, knowing it doesn't have any of those spinning parts like my old drive gives me peace of mind. I don't have to worry as much about it getting damaged if I accidentally bump my laptop or something.
Samsung's also got this cool software called Magician. It lets you keep an eye on the drive's health and even tweak things a bit. It's pretty user-friendly, even for someone like me who isn't super techy.
Yeah, sure, there are probably faster SSDs out there – the ones that plug into those fancy NVMe slots. I bought this years ago and use it for my laptop windows OS. So far 25TB written with an average temperature between 40-44C. Did a quick benchmark, Seq. Read 560MB/s. Seq. Write 525MB/s. Random Read 54687 IOPS and random write 41748 IOPS. I've never had issues with it or any other Samsung drive.

This CD was purchased a little over a year ago, and there have been no problems with it during this time. I am completely satisfied with it. the only thing is, when installing the disk, I had to read the instructions and download the application, but the application is very useful, there is information about the status of the disk in real time. In general, for its modest price, the EIO is a very good device.

I bought this to upgrade my laptop and I will say that the integration was seemless. This SSD, like all my other Samsung products is in a class above the rest. It gave me fast read/write speeds with zero glitches. Before I retired my laptop I ran a quick health check and it had no bad sectors and I do a clean install sometimes 2 a year and consider myself a power user and popped this drive out to throw somewhere else later. I always recommend Samsung products to the many people who ask me for recommendations because their quality control is always a cut above the competition, in other words you won't need to mess around with replacement products if you buy Samsung = 0 downtime. There really isn't any other company I can say that about.

Great pre installed software
So I bought this hard-drive for my laptop that I was upgrading.
I have a Toshiba satellite laptop.
The whole point for me was to transfer a mirror image of the original drive and benefit from the the new SATA tech.
Involved a caddy mod and sata ribbon.
Gotta say Samsung's Magician program automatically detected the process and copied the files and info

I've had this drive for over 3 years now and it's still going strong. For it's time it was a pretty fast SSD but it's still a great SATA drive, perfect for an upgrade from a hard drive or as a storage drive for games. I use it as a game storage drive and it loads game fast. Never had any issues in the time I've owned it.

I started to build my own computers when I was 16 years old and due to costs I would only use HDDs. That was until I was gifted an SSD and once I installed that into a computer the speed was better. I had always thought that how much faster can they SSD really be. Well once I bought the 870 Evo SSD I have never gone back to any other Hard drive, it is incredibly fast, high security, and easy to install.

I got this SSD a couple weeks ago and am using it as additional memory for my Xbox one X. It is by far the best SSD product I have ever used. Even though it's almost completely full the games I have saved to it still have no problem running at all no lag, not skipping, and also no difference in the quality of the picture. All those things are what I have had issues with in the past so to finally find one that runs not only to my expectations but above that is even better. I would give it 10 stars is it allowed that but I can only do 5. GREAT PRODUCT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK SAMSUNG.

This was my 1st 1TB SSD and it has served as my mass-storsge drive in three computers. I love it. Plug-and-play, hot swap and so fast! File transfers are a snap. And I've never suffered any data loss. It's durable, as well. It's been dropped more than once and while technically not a portable, external drive it's served on those roles admirably. Not surprising as every piece of Samsung gear I've owned including several Galaxy flagship, SSDs, an expansion card and even an old, beat up, second-hand chromebook have been high quality and reliable. Definitely will purchase Samsung ahain.

The EVO 870 SSD has been my go to for capacity and flawless access to all my computer games. It's quite, low heat and doesn't distract me when I'm pwning the competition. I'll be getting a second one soon to consolidate my older games and pictures off those winding clunky aged drives. I have had this phone for a couple years now. It is easy to use because it helps me get familiar with content on my phone. The only thing I dislike is Google tries to control everything! It has even blocked use of apps until I agree to give them the permissions it wants. My next phone will not include access by Google in any aspect of my phone!!

I bought my ssd for my xbox one x and I love the extra storage it provides. I don't have a problem with the size of any games. I also don't have to worry about deleting certain games or apps to download anything...ever! It runs smoothly or problems whatsoever. Just plug it in and set it aside.

Snappy Loading: Always In The Game.
I bought this product a couple months ago and installed software required for it to be compatible with a Playstation. I installed it into my PS4 PRO and it's been running amazing ever since. Beforehand, the system used to hiccup and was hesitant to load things. But now I can install updates and load into games at speeds almost comparable to that of the PS5. Definitely an amazing product.

Purchased this product a few years back to upgrade an older laptop that had a mechanical primary drive. The speed was absolutely phenominal compared to the original drive which gave my laptop 3 more extra years beyond its lifecycle. I bought my Samsung 870 Evo 1tb ssd to replace the hhd in my Xbox x (older version). It was like night and day. In my online game I play. Destiny 2, I would be flying while my clanmates were already on the ground fighting.
After the hhd swap to ssd. I was on the ground fighting before some of my clanmates. Everything on my Xbox did a total 360. Everything was so much faster my gaming experience went from a zombie type feeling to a run away train feeling.
If you are on the fence, just thinking about making the switch from hhd to ssd, I highly recommend this product! I promise you'll thank me later.
P.S I can't take a Pic of the inside of my Xbox. I made the switch about 6 months ago.

Had this drive less than a year and started getting blue screens and boot errors saying the drive was needing to be backed up before failure. Weeks later the drive is not Bootable or seen by my operating system and alot of my much needed pictures and info is on the drive. After reading up on the EVO line it appears others are experiencing the same issues....I thought samsung had one of the best drives out there but I guess I am sadly mistaken on this one.

Greatest Buy Of The Year
Bought this product for almost a year now for a 10 year old Dell Laptop. This laptop was never a flagship laptop. I paid $350 for it at PC Richards. It became so sluggish that reboot and boot up times were around 5 minutes. Apps were slow and glitchy. It was time for me to replace the hard drive. It was a complete night and day difference after replacing the old tired HDD with the 870 SSD. Boot up times were now in the seconds, and apps were opening instantaneously. It is not a difficult task to do and neither expensive. It beats spending 500+ for even a cheap computer that will slow down again. Make the jump and revamp that old computer!

More memory the better
Now this isn't Samsung's fastest SATA SSD, but I really like this one it's a one terabyte and my current internal storage was only a 512GB HDD so expanding to a 1 TB SSD on top of the 512 HDD it's been nice plus since it's SATA it was as simple as plug and Play

Game Changer!
I was finally fed up with the glacial speeds of my old hard drive. Games took forever to load, and my system felt sluggish overall. After doing some research, I decided to give the Samsung 870 Evo a try.
Installation was a breeze, and the difference is night and day! Boot times are significantly faster, games load in a fraction of the time, and the overall responsiveness of my system is a huge improvement.
The Samsung Magician software is a nice touch. It's easy to use and provides helpful information about my drive's health and performance.
The 870 Evo isn't the cheapest SSD out there, but considering the performance boost and the peace of mind that comes with Samsung's reliability, I think it was a worthwhile investment. If you're looking to breathe new life into your older computer, I highly recommend this drive!

After 5.5 years it is still reliable and fast
I purchased it from Samsung store on Amazon to upgrade my mechanical disk on my laptop to enhance the speed, power consumption and capacity.
After 4 years it is working fine, no degraded in terms of read/write speed and it is still reliable.
I recommend it.

I have had this for a couple years now and it is excellent. Before, I had a no name brand SSD which gave me many problems and I was always afraid of loosing my data. Thankfully with this 870 I am confident that I will not have to wory about transfer speeds or data loss anymore.

I Like this hard drive
I bought this hard disk drive in April 2021 and installed in Dell optiplex 790. The hard drive is amazing, faster than the old one and more stable.
After Windows installation, i installed many softwares and applications i surprised about the quick responses and the speed of working. Thanks Samsung for this product.
