Sturdy?
I like the bag but, as a graduate student I use the bag to carry heavy books, laptop, papers, water bottle etc.--daily--to and fro the campus and I'm afraid, the bag is just not sturdy enough, it feels.

Heavy but good quality
It's heavy and thick, so it feels like you can't put too much stuff like max. for two days clothing. But it's good quality and can fit 17" laptop. It's also bulky.

High capacity backpack for business, travel, school
I have searched many other brands and models and this was the best overall backpack for me in terms of functionality, capacity, and style.
The large compartment stores all my business work accessories such as my power supply, notebook, phone accessories, large headset, and it can even hold a small change of clothes, travel pillow, and baseball cap!
The organizer is okay. It can hold a tablet, eyeglass case, pens, memory sticks, etc. It's just that the zippered pockets inside can't really hold much and can be hard to reach/open if the bag is full. Still decent.
The small soft fleece-lined pocket at the top is a nice touch. It's a good place to put your cell phone, eye drops, metro subway card, earphones, etc.
There's a quick access pocket on the back that is partially closed by velcro. I like this pocket for grabbing things like tissue, gum, snacks, or a small tube of hand lotion. The things mentioned tend to stick out a bit when I store them there. I know it's not meant to be a closed pocket and it works well. But I do wish it was a little bit deeper. That way, things would sit more comfortably in there.
The two cup holders are fantastic. They can fit large tumblers. I use to hold all sorts of misc items such as a leak-proof thermos, gloves, or a compact umbrella.
As others have stated, the top handle is great. It's nicely reinforced. It's what I always reach for first when picking my bag off the floor.
The zippers themselves are very high quality. They are thick, the straps are large, easy to grip, and the zip action is smooth.
I do really like that the bag itself is rather large but light-weight at the same time. This is key for a frequent business traveler whose body gets mangled by carrying laptops and sits in economy class flights all the time.
My only big complaint is that I wish the bottom was more reinforced. If your bag is sitting on a hard floor and if you don't put your laptop in carefully, it will bang the floor.

Great Backpack!!
I bought this backpack recently when it went on sale. When I received it, I was really happy with the design and the quality. I love Samsonite products and this backpack did not disappoint. It has lots of great compartment space and is the perfect size for my laptop. I give this 5 stars!

Great Business Backpack
Great bag, has plenty of storage. The only downside is there is no velcro strap to confidently hold your pc from slipping out. I like the gray bag, as it is easy to identify, as most other people carry black. I am looking forward to travel with this bag as it can slip over the pull handle of a carry on bag.

Great Bag would give 5 Stars but Zipper broke.
Best Backpack I ever had, however the Zip broke after a year. I am having a hard time trying to get it repaired. I have brought two other Backpacks as replacements, but this Bag is by far the best. I could have saved money just ordering another one.

Nice backpack but disappointing quality
I really like this backpack for its generous size and key features: strap for a suitcase handle, side pockets for drinks; several outer pockets for small items (though I wish it had compression straps - the only thing it is missing). However I am disappointed at the quality. My previous backpack (from a different company) lasted for many years. This is not very old but out of warranty, and the zipper on one of the compartments broke. The teeth just pulled out from the tape so it can't be repaired. Bummer.

Perfect bag for working
Great cost-benefit for working bag. Nevertheless, for personal use is more limited. You wont be able to carry volume (jackets, tennis shoes...) items besides flat items (e.g. books, laptop...)

This is not a 17" laptop bag
Buyer beware. 4 years ago, this may have fit a 17" laptop. Not today. I returned mine 15 minutes after UPS dropped it off. My new 17" Legion did not fit. I have read other brands don't either.

Great backpack for a 17 inch laptop
I've used a computer carrying case for years. It always seemed very heavy and it regularly slid off my shoulder. I had to use one arm to manage it. I switched to this backpack that will hold my 17 inch laptop and everything else I had in my carrying case. I just used the backpack for the first time on a trip to New York City. It was comfortable to wear, didn't seem as heavy as the carrying case and freed both my hands and arms. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I use this backpack for business. Its replacing my old 1 that I had for 5 years. So far I like it. It's big enough to carry everything I need. The lines pocket for my tablet really is nice

Great work backpack
I use this backpack for work purposes. I travel 80 to 90 percent with my job and this is a great backpack for traveling. It easily fits overhead or under the airplane seat. It is sturdy and comfortable on my shoulders and back. I love the suitcase handle on the back. It holds all of my goods including a portable monitor and laptop. The cushioned laptop pocket keeps my laptop and portable monitor protected from bumps. It has a sturdy handle so that I can hang it on bathroom stalls without worrying about the weight of the backpack breaking the handle. I only wish it had more zippers/pockets to hold items, especially smaller items. It has only 2 small pockets and then the main pocket and laptop pocket.

I loved it, I would buy it again
I bought this backpack for my brother, so he can go to school with it. He asked me for a backpack who had a lot of space and lightweight. And when I finally had it in my hands it was what I really asked for.
Actually I would buy this backpack for myself as well because I can use it in travels and for business.

Tectonic 2 Large Backpack
I use this backpack to organize and carry all my business needs that includes laptop, documents, tools, cords, chargers ... It has compartments for each. Best is the easy in out for laptop so when traveling through an airport I can easily dig out the laptop for screening. This is my second one as I wore out the first one after many years of hard use. Only thing that wore out was the left shoulder strap since I sometimes one arm carry and a zipper finally gave out ...
