I HAD NO IDEA THAT I BOUGHT A REFURB
I bought the iX1400 because my perfect S1500 doesn't work with W11. Colin from tech support was FANTASTIC. If not for the refurb thing, I'd probably give it a 5 and would "recommend to a friend." But I'm annoyed now.

We had to upgrade our scanner to to software updates and this one has been great. it's very fast and easy to save files on the computer. This scanner and the ix1300 are all we use in our small business. We have at least 20 of them

Finally a scanner that just scans!
When Ricoh/Fujitsu started putting screens and wifi connections on every device we had to start looking at alternatives. We needed a scanner - just a scanner that works when you push a button. No constant notifications about setting up wifi scanning, no waiting for an unnecessary screen to boot up, just a plain old reliable scanner like the old S1500 and iX500's. AND THIS IS IT! Glory glory! It's fast, reliable, and it has replaceable consumables. Hopefully they will bring back ScanSnap Manager too!

Fantastic Scanner
I had one of these in my office at my old job, and I liked it enough I bought one for my home office. It scans quickly, it doesn't jam, and it just works!
