Great product, use them with our NEC SV8500 system with Dterm Series i and DT300 phones, works perfectly out of the box. Always remember to get the handset lifter - makes life so much easier. Highly recommended, and in the case of a problem, Plantronics has been great about replacement in a fast manner to keep business moving.

Used this for a few years with Cisco and Mitel hardware and have never had any issues. These headsets usually outlast the phone they are plugged into. Great product.

Reliable and Sleek
I just installed one for the ED and he loves it! It's lighter and sleeker than the previous Plantronics he had. I love the ease of setup, and he loves the range and reliability of it with answering calls.

This headset is the best we have tested in this category of VoIP headsets. It costs under $200, has superb battery life, and the range is insane. I have been able to walk all the way out to the parking lot and still remain clear on a call, with the base behind 5 walls and a brick building, over 50ft away. Highly recommended.

We’ve currently have Cisco 7961s for our CSRs and will eventually be upgrading to 8841s. We decided to test the phone and headset out on one user. I bought this headset with both the lifter and the EHS cable. The user wanted the EHS cable as they were sick of the lifter; however she didn’t like that you had to press answer on both the headset on the base. My boss and I both tinkered with the settings and looked at guides/instructions and we couldn’t figure out how to change it. The user decided to go back to the lifter. The conversion cable was a little tricky to set up, some models you plug both the conversion cable and the headset cord into the base, and others you plug the headset cord into the conversion cable. The 8841s headsets are too light for the lifter – we had to put Velcro near the mouth piece or it would just slide off!
The user loves the headset. Her favorite feature is that she can choose between an over the ear piece or add the headphones band onto it. She also likes that she can have it on/in different ears.

I dig it
Small, light and has great sound quality.
When I call India, I always wear my plantronics CS540 headset. It's my way of working hands free while I sit on hold for hours at a time.

We have deployed one of these to one of the secretaries desks to allow her to work hands free from the phone on her desk. It has worked very well and has generated zero issues in its time in service.

Using three of these currently and all users love them. They sound great, are comfortable and the coverage/range is amazing. Folks have walked out of the building to their cars and kept phone conversations going. Great product from a long time great company.

Constantly On the Phone?
Then you need one of these. Simply put, I could not do my work without it. This headset gives me the ability to multi-task. It also has very long range and I can walk the office with it without losing connection. Especially handy if a bathroom break becomes an emergency. :-)

Constantly troubleshooting
Since I've got this headset I had to constantly troubleshoot it - it's fully charge but it turns off in the middle of calls - now the new one is that I can hear the call both, on headset and handset, so what's the point of privacy calls??? I hate this headset, which our company would purchase another brand or product...

Beats any Jabra
I tried several headsets before settling on this one. Most were Jabra. They were too heavy and didn't stay on the ear when using the ear hook. This Plantronics version is light enough that the hook always stays attached and stays on my ear. I bought 4. My colleagues also love these. They call quality is crisp. The design is pristine and slender. Used with the hook switch, you can pick up calls with ease while away from your desk. All buttons are easy to find (by touch) and use.

Meh. It's ok. I would prefer to have my CS70N back from the dead (the battery was hard wired and trying to solder in a new one was unsuccessful).
PROS - Reception range seems to be a little bigger. The volume button is easier to operate. The wrap around ear piece is okay as long as you have the cheap foam cover on it.
CONS - I hope you have some desktop room for the base. While at 3.4" (85mm) wide it is on the narrow side of most, the depth is ridiculous. It's about 4"(100mm) for the base and then another 1.25"(30mm) for the wiring plug. Not sure what the designers were thinking. I would rather see some mounting hardware that would allow me to attach it to a phone or monitor or even the wall.

oh my, where do I start? The CS500 series is just awesome! While it lacks multi-device compatibility, it is a rock solid deskphone headset!

I have used this headset at 2 jobs now, both with the HL10 lifter. The headset itself is great. There is a slight learning curve to be able to get it comfortably on your ear within the 3-4 rings before VM picks up. I'm used to it now so I can typically get it on quickly. It is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time. Simple controls, clear sound and interchangeable ear pieces make it a somewhat customizable fit. The ear hook with foam is comfortable but the foam padding is kind of cheap. My suggestion for improvement (and a 5th star) would be to improve the ear hook with maybe a rubberized coating or something like that.
