At first glance, you might think the USB-C Dual HDMI Docking Station (USBC-6950PDZ) is just a simple USB-C travel hub for adding a couple of ports. But the moment you start connecting to the 2x HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB ports with charging, or the SD slot, you might feel differently. Windows and Mac laptops get a full desktop experience that only comes from a docking station.
There's a lot of big talk about the dock's size, but the first feature to focus on should be its HDMI port, both of them. The HDMI hub extends your display across two monitors with resolutions up to 4K 60 Hz.
For this laptop docking station, Plugable used DisplayLink Technology. That means you can connect two monitors, no matter what full-featured USB-C-enabled laptop you're using, Windows or Mac - even an M1 or M2-powered MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.
A somewhat unique approach to powering a docking station, the USBC-6950PDZ doesn't have its own power supply. Instead, it uses the USB-C power cord that came with your laptop. The docking station takes advantage of USB-C pass-through charging, here's how it works: find your laptop's power cord, plug it into the marked port on the USBC-6950PDZ, and now plug the docking station into your laptop.
The dual HDMI adapter will support up to a 100 W power adapter, reserving up to 18 W for itself. So, if you have a 100 W adapter, your computer will receive 82 W of power. However, the computer may charge slower through the docking station than when directly connected to the power supply.
This particular unit is just a docking station with 2 HDMI ports that happens to be slim, and incredibly portable. For those who do need to take it with them, this USB hub is ready. Because it uses the laptop power adapter you're carrying, it saves the weight and space of a second power brick.

This is such an awesome device! I love how it requires absolutely no setup. Just plug it in and it’s ready to go. It allows for many more ports and different devices to be used and has a great, sleek design. Totally recommend

I took this to work because I always have so many cords and I was amazed on how neat and clean under my desk looks it’s nice not to get my feet tangles in the cord and now I can charge my stuff without a problem.

this is a good port and works well so far but it is a lot bigger than i thought it would be. i was hoping to have one i could throw in my backpack but this is a bit clunky, i will probably keep this one at my desk instead

Affordable and Convenient
Decent Docking stations tend to be one of two things, pricy and full featured, or cheap and largely useless. This cheap hub/docking station manages to split the difference. It has some great features, dual 4k monitor support, 100W charging and some situationally useful, like the SD card reader. I currently use this dock in my work from home setup, which allows me to make use of my gaming PC's desk and monitors with little to no fuss.

Compact and portable
I got this for travel. It’s so compact, light and portable. I now keep it in my backpack. As you can see it’s not much bigger than a coaster. I love that it allows me to plug a few things in and then just this into my laptop. Makes for a cleaner experience.

This Plugable 7 Port USB-C Dual HDMI Docking Station is a very handy item. It has pass through charging and it works great to accommodate multiple monitors. You can get much more work done by being able to use several monitors. It is able to plug in HDMI, USB and USB-C cords. Works great and is very functional.

Perfect addition to home office!
I absolutely love the versatility of this new plug and display dock from Plugable. First, having 2 HDMIs in the same port is clutch and makes my desktop significantly less cluttered. Multiple USB options are also extremely handy when I’m working. I love the sleek design and the longer cord is perfect for keeping my space professional. Sleek & efficient…This is the best addition to my home office!
