Plugable's Mini DisplayPort to VGA passive adapter allows you to connect from a Dual-Mode Mini DisplayPort (DP++)/Thunderbolt 2 output on your Mac or PC laptop, desktop, or tablet to virtually any VGA-enabled display. Passive adapters rely on the DisplayPort source output supporting DP++ in order to pass video signals to a VGA display. Our adapter supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz refresh rate.

Compatibility Plugable's MDPM-VGAF adapter is compatible with systems that have a Dual-Mode Mini DisplayPort output port (DP++)/Thunderbolt 2 on a PC or Apple laptop, desktop or tablet to add a VGA capable monitor, TV or projector. This adapter is not bi-directional and will not convert in the other direction. Note: Dual-Mode DisplayPort source ports are often noted with a DP++ symbol next to the port itself. If unsure if your DisplayPort is DP++ capable, please check with your system manufacturer. Compliant with VESA Dual-Mode DisplayPort 1.1

This plugable vga adapter came in just at the right time!! No downloading softwares or nothing, super simple, just plug and play! If you need one, you should go buy this one. So, pardon me....I am off now to use my new adapter and get my gaming on!

It is high quality and works perfectly. I also like the white color goes well with everything. Definitely saves money and time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brillant!!! Got an old legacy monitor collecting dust in the back of the closet. This fancy-dancy device is exactly what one needs. One example: got a laptop and just fine with the single screen most of the time. But, every now and then you would not mind having that extra screen and you even have an old vga monitor well this will get you that duel screen without having to go out and buy a new monitor you really don't want. : )

I even had my husband try it. I wish I could say more about it but I do not know how to get a replacement to try it again.
