Know your gear
You love your laptop, but its WiFi network adapter is on the fritz or you're stuck with an old and slow Wireless G or B card. You could try to get it upgraded or repaired, maybe plunk down a few hundred dollars for a new computer, but there's an easy, inexpensive option that will get you back on the network in no time: a USB-based WiFi adapter!
The Plugable USB-WIFINT wireless N adapter sticks out just a quarter inch when plugged into a USB slot. It offers 802.11n wireless N connectivity up to 150 Mbps in an incredibly small package.
At just 0.25 inches long by 0.5 inches wide when plugged into a USB port, the USB-WIFINT is barely noticeable. With its low profile, no worries about the adapter snapping off from an accidental nudge. You won't even need to unplug it before stuffing your laptop PC into your backpack or totebag.
Ideal for wireless connections where line-of-sight to access point is available. Consider ""high-gain"" adapters instead for applications where signal quality is important.
Because of its small size, the adapter is especially useful for setting up a separate, peer-to-peer (Ad-hoc) connection between two WiFi adapters In Windows 7 and earlier. Search "ad hoc wifi setup" for details.
Easy Windows setup in Windows 7 and later. Just plug in while your PC has a wired connection and Windows update will automatically install drivers. Uses Windows' built-in WiFi management interface.

small, easy to use in a convenient way to add Wi-Fi to a computer
I like how small and simple this Wi-Fi adapter is. I plugged it into my computer and it doesn't take a much space or stick it out too far one set up it worked really well for connecting to Wi-Fi and the connection was stable for my regular Intrnet use. The performance has been good for browsing, email and every day task I also like the compact design because it can leave it plugged in without it getting in the way. It's also a useful option for a computer that doesn't have a belt in Wi-Fi or needs another way to connect wirelessly. Compatibility and set up were pretty straightforward for my computer. For the size, functionality and price, I think it's a good value and handy to keep around.
