The Plantronics Voyager 5200 WindSmart Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headset offers reliable call clarity especially outdoors as well as cutting edge, adaptive noise cancelling. With six layers of WindSmart technology, this headset eliminates disruptive background noise like wind and chatter to make voices sound clear, indoors and out. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charging I purchased this product on sept 27th and received it on sept 29th, I also got the case with it, in the description it says that it uses a micro usb to charge it, not true, it uses the plantronics magnet charger, I tried charging it in the case and on top of the case and it won’t charge either way, this is after I charged the case fully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good headset, needs work Have been through three of these headsets in the last year, the third went a month or so ago. When its working, its a great headset. These headsets are not recommended for someone working construction outdoors in the summer time. All three of mine stopped working once subjected to heavy sweat. Would be nice if they could be a little more water resistant. Not sure if I’m going to buy a fourth.

It just starts making beeping sounds and actually connecting to seri. Causing my phone to make a call. Software is up to date. I am tempted to try another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Fit I bought this device a couple months ago because I work in loud areas. The functionality of it is good, but I can't get it to fit properly in my ear. I have tried both left and right ears and all three sizes of th ear buds. I have came to the conclusion that the length from the top of my ear to the ear canal is too large for this device to fit me properly. I am now looking to get an over the ear model since I just cant get this to work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice was it lasted I use this headset inside about 4 hours a day. I lasted just over 7 months before it started to get choppy and people were unable to understand me. By no way was it abused. Still looks new. I'm shopping for a different product, for $100 bucks it should last a lot longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not suitable for drivers I was using Legend Voyager and very happy. I've used 3 years, it was very easy to charge and stand was very useful. I 've just bought Voyager 5200 Series and very big disappointed, it was very difficult to charge when you are driving, no stand to keep it, you need to put somewhere in the car. I've checked everywhere online but could not find any stand for this device. Why they did not make charger stand for this device like Voyager Legend. I will send it back and buy again Vayager Legend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall I bought this in June. It is a great headset. Unfortunatly i work outdoors all year and it doea not hold up to sweat and moisture the best. It now wont charge due to being soaked in sweat mtiple times this past few months. The seem to have remedied this on mewer models with a plug in The charge port unfortunatly i didnt get that updated one on my original purchase. This is a great headaet for people in low mosture areas or mostly indoors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent unit overall but power button has failed I have always been a Plantronics user for years and never had a problem . This unit power button has actually failed through normal wear and tear so I cannot turn it on or off. What a disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasted barely 2 months I only wore this to work indoors, never worked out with them, just talked and listened to books. Now it won't even turn on. I was very excited about these because they sounded good, were comfortable, did well with background noise. I'm sad because they were expensive and now they don't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disconnect issues/overall not impressed Upgraded from Voyager Legend. Having issues with constant “PC Disconnected”, “PC Connected” notifications. I don’t even turn my head and it just keeps going. Very annoying! Haven’t found any resolution for this . Not even sure it actually disconnects as it just babbles back and forth. Side note: not as comfortable as the old legend; when I leave it in the charging dock(travel charger) and my laptop goes to sleep, it was not charge. Woke up to a dead headset for work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small fault I have use the hands free ear piece for about 7 years, and found it to be functional and an asset. But must inform you that the rubber strip on the edge closest to the ear has come away from the body of the unit, it seems the curved rubber has changed shape and will not stay in the grove that is ment to hold it into it's shape. Other than this it has been a perfect addition to my safe driving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAVE YOU MONEY! While this thing has some nice features, I can’t talk about them! IT CONTINUALLY DROPS CALLS, CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING DURING CALLS. I keep it updated and my iPhone 6, too. I’ve followed tech support instructions, to no avail. I’m now in the process of asking friends what brand they use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPhone + 5200 = TERRIBLE I have had 3 now. I have tried over and over and over to make this combination work to no avail. Either the 5200 drops connection or I have to hold the phone directly in front of my face - so what’s the point of the BT then. The previous version (Legend) worked well. So sad because the device has excellent noise cancellation but now it’s canceling the conversation. Good bye Plantronics (or Poly)...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid bluetooth earpiece We got these more than 2 years ago, and they have been hard working and durable. We use them 6 days a week, during the week for the entire day. Their price point makes them a wise decision, their reliability makes them dependable. They have good clarity. The buttons are convenient and make the functioning of the piece even better.

Do not drop them, Do not get them wet and what ever you do- Do not plug them in to charge when they are ON, they will short circuit and stop charging altogether, even with these precautions all the Legend line of BT headsets seem to have failed on me somehow and at $80 to $100+ a pop it's just not acceptable anymore , oh they are great when they work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated, however, remains a dominant unit. The Voyager 5220, lives up to the features, functions, and amenities as mentioned in the product description. In fact, under the Best Buy warranty policy (purchased extended warranty - return to any store and they will replace with the new unit), I simply exchange the unit after normal wear and tear or a noticeable performance drop (10x in five years). The advent of this process bolsters the attractiveness of the 5220 unit. The low review is attributed to the recent swap-outs due to talk issues (i.e., receiver continually mentions I sound like I am underwater, like a robot).

Crackling, disconnecting from the phone and charging only to 90% causing me to carry cord with me. It runs down even if I am not using it! I had to exchange on one in less the a month. I use too change them because of the new look! What happen to you? Using my almost 9yr version that's mono!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not good I bought this a month ago to replace a plantronics 100 serries. The 100 ferries blows this one out of the water. The 5200 ferries isn't loud enough and the ear pice wont stay in my ear so I have to hold it in which makes this hands free useless. Ill go back to the 100 ferries it is 10 times the ear pice as the 5200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Features I bought this a year ago then daughter gave me apple ear buds, after trying them for the last few weeks I went back to your product, buds do not answer phone you must tap bud to answer lost of luck before drops call, voyager is voice operated just say answer and you are good thank god for voyager !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too big. My husband bought this for us to use when we work from home. It fits his ear fine but it constantly falls off mine as it's too big for a woman's ears. Was this designed with different ear sizes in mind or was it designed by a chap for chaps to use?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be great Fantastic on every measure I care about except one, it doesn't fit my ear well. It is just a smidge too short, so it rides high in my ear and there is nothing I can do to get it to sit where it belongs. I'm going to try to find some different ear tips to see if that will solve the issue. Seems like a no-brainer to engineer in some adjustment, but apparently it is a brainer. Might be good for the design decision makers to read the book, The End of Average, by Todd Rose. Otherwise, it is superlative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crackling sound during calls I bought this headset yesterday from the authorized distributor in egypt ( global communications) and i am a long user of plantronics and i was having high hopes for this high end headset but i was very disappointed to hear crackling sounds only during calls ( does not happen during hearing media) and it is a shame to hear that cause i didn’t have this problem on the cheaper models so it is frustrating to face this and i found this is a common problem on that model on the internet communities and that should not be the case in the expensives sets i requested to return it and waiting for the distributor response and i am actually afraid to try this model again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea, but... This headset has all the features I need, but two things are happening. First, no matter what ear bud I use, the headset keeps walking out of my ear. Second, though I've replaced it, it keeps losing Bluetooth connection with my phone. Communication with Plantronics is slow at best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best purchases I ever made I always had troubles to be heard on phone calls especially in car, so I gave up calling or talikng while driving. Voyager 5200 really changed this completely! Moreover it is a great handsfree device so comfortable and high quality. Also full of features such as anouncing the caller's name , voice recognition and more. Great sound for music. What can I say - thank you Plantronics for this great product. I am recommednig this to everyone I know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't recommend We've been using the Voyager Legend for some time, we like them, noise cancelling works well. We purchased a 5200 to test it out. The problem is we have a lot of charging hardware for the Voyager Legend. Plantronics deliberately made the new headset (5200) incompatible with their legacy charging bases and portable magnetic cords. They look the same, until you try to use them. Apparently Plantronics expects us to purchase all new hardware? Not acceptable, probably a good time to try something new..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away again! I’ve used previous models and all have performed exceptionally well. I’m in sales, on the road a lot so having a Bluetooth with great battery life, crystal clear sound is very important . The 5200 model is the “GOAT” in its field. Clients, managers, team members think I’m in the office when I’m actually on the road, in a Starbucks. Keep up the great work as I look forward to new product releases from your company!
