Meets all of my needs in a noisy manufacturing environment
I found and am trialing this unit for my company connected to my desk top phone with the Vista M22 amplifier as recommended by another review. It is exactly what I wanted and I am recommending it to my communications department for production applications.
I am able to hear and talk on calls sitting next to several machining centers blasting away. When on conference calls the amplifier allows me to dial the volume up or down to hear that quiet voice in the corner of a room with a table top microphone.
It is not perfect silence, which is good, I can hear someone talking beside me too, they don't have to poke me to get my attention. It is muffled and you will want to take off the headset to join the conversation.
Note: you need the boom mic very close to your lips, not touching, to work properly.
I am soon to trial the iPhone hookup, there is a concern that it will not drive the speakers. So I am also looking into an iPhone audio amplifier to attach between the two.
