Planar’s VS 17™ Hospital-Grade Monitors are the flat panels of choice for critical applications in the patient vicinity.
Designed with patient safety, cleanability, and ruggedness in mind, the Planar VS 17™ is cost effective for hospitals because of its durability and compatibility. It is also a perfect solution for medical OEMs seeking a display device with a managed lifecycle.
For infection control procedures, the Planar VS 17™ is easily cleaned with liquid germicides. It is certified to the stringent IPX1 standard to resist intrusion of liquids inside the monitor. Planar VS™ 17 has global medical certifications: IEC/EN 60601 equivalents that serve to provide additional protection to patients by meeting strict standards for electrical shock, electro-magnetic emissions, interference, and fire safety. Planar VS 17™ comes standard with a variety of features not found in office-grade monitors including a rugged acrylic faceplate to guard the LCD, sealed control buttons, and locking video and power connections.
The Planar VS 17™ features industry leading optics featuring a higher performance LCD that increases patient safety by prohibiting color inversion when viewed from an off angle. The monitor has analog and digital inputs, and built-in speakers. This space saving, slim design and lightweight solution is 75mm VESA compatible. An optional resistive touchscreen version is available.
