Pioneer's DVR-A05 drive writes and reads DVD-RW, DVD-R, CD-R and CD-RW media, and also reads CD-ROM and DVD-ROM discs. The drive offers up to 4.7GB of storage capacity on a single sided DVD disc. Pioneer's DVR-A05 also provides wider compatibility, higher speeds, lower noise, UDMA33 support and buffer under-run protection for both CD and DVD recording.
High Speed Performance
The higher the quantity of data, the more important the recording speed. Because the DVR-A05 can record at 4X for DVD-R (Roughly equivalent to 36X CD-R), you can finish recording in a short time. And now it supports High-Speed CD-RW media recorcding at 16X. Whats's more, read speed has been boosted to 12X for DVD (single larer) and 32X for CD-ROM and CD-Audio extraction.
Buffer Under-run protection for both CD and DVD recording
The DVR-A05 prevents buffer underruns for both DVD and CD media through the use of a unique Loss-less Linking scheme. This saves both time and money by eliminating the most likely cause of wasted media.
