It's a great way to display a picture or stickers without having to worry about them getting damaged or harming the integrity of the case or my phone. The rubber bumpers have yellowed into this transparent walnut-y color however, this doesn't bother me. It has a cracked back and sides, the plastic is scratched up but other than that the quality has been top-notch over the years and I can't wait to get the same style for my new phone.

Well, they no longer make the specific style I like for my iPhone model. I decided to give Otterbox I try and have not been disappointed. The light weight of this case is superior to the bulkiness of the other company's. case. It is easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to clean and -- most importantly -- provides just the right amount of protection. Love it! The only room for improvement IMHO is that the plastic feels.a little flimsy around the side of the case were the silent mode on/off button is. Other than that, this is a great product. Highly recommended!

I recently upgraded my iPhone and I purchased the Red limited edition. I usually purchase the Defender series due to the 3 layer coverage and protection it provides. Unfortunately the Defender series doesn't come in a clear so I purchased the Symmetry series. It doesn't provide the coverage and protection that the Defender cases do but I really wanted to display my red phone so I purchased the Symmetry cover.

I love sparkles, and they definitely help to hide the fingerprints on this case. I also bought some stickers to put between my phone and case to give it a personal touch. Love the tough quality of this case, and will definitely be buying them for all my phones!

I've been using their cases exclusively for 7 years and any time I get a new phone, I go ahead and order the case first, before I even get a phone, so I can go ahead and have the case. I was pleasantly surprised to see the clear options for the Symmetry line. I ordered the stardust one because I wanted to show off my rose gold phone but still have the protection. The case is really nice. It's thin, but offers the same protection you can expect from Otterbox. I love the stardust design because it adds a little something extra. I haven't experienced the issues other reviewers have about it being difficult to use the power button with the case. The only complaints I have: I am not a huge fan of how slick the case is. I wish it was more rubberized or had a better grip (like the defender and commuter cases). I just like the feeling of having a really good grip on my phone and don't get that with symmetry. I know I can order a different case, and I know my phone is still protected, but it's something I would like to have on future casss. The other complaint is the color options that are available. I wish that some older designs and colors would cross over into newer releases. Newer designs seem to be really limited in the color schemes and I've really liked some casss only to find that they weren't available for my phone. So, overall, the complaints I have aren't serious and the case is really good. Otterbox still has a very satisfied customer.

It looks so natural on the phone that it almost appears to be the phone's actual "case free" design. The hard plastic appears to be very durable. In my opinion, the only slight negative is the hard rubber edging because it lacks a completely slip-free tighter grip like softer rubber does. However, with that said, I've never dropped the phone due to losing a good grip on it. This will easily be my case of choice for the lifetime of my iPhone 7 Plus, as well my first choice for future iPhone models.

I like the case but its not crystal clear like the case I have for my macbook, this has just a bit of "frost" sort of like shower doors but not as intense. Just enough to be noticed. Personally its fine for me, as long as it dosen't yellow with age like some other clear products I have purchased from other suppliers. Cant beat the quality though, still an otterbox

Its made ade with the same great quality theyve always had, and feels very sturdy. My only critique is that the cover for the button on the right hand side of the phone (the “sleep” button if you will) is really hard to push with just one finger/hand. Sometimes I have to hold the phone in both hands to push it, which is kind of annoying.

Once the case is handled for any length of time the fingerprints make the case slippery and oily on the back making it hard to keep in your hand. Forever wiping it down with a micro cloth, it's the only thing that will clean it quickly. I do not recommend it!

I have been using them since the second generation iPhone. I have always used the Defender model. I decided to change it up and I wish I would have stayed with the Defender series. I like the idea of this case being clear, but it is not clear on the back side. I really wish there was a clear Defender model. I also miss the clip that is offered with the Defender series. I am not happy with the Symmetry Series Clear Case for iPhone 7 plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yellowing Edges I bought this case about 2 months ago and the edging around the phone has already yellowed to a brown color, in stark contrast to the clear back. Truly a disappointment from a company that I have always bought phone cases from. Wish I had bought just a straight color symmetry, as everyone constantly comments how dirty my otterbox looks due to the yellowing edges. Also the main on/off side button and volume buttons are significantly harder to push in, very stiff, where as my husbands regular symmetry in all black has such easy push buttons. It's like on the clear cases the covers to the buttons don't make enough contact with the phone requiring aggressive pushing. I would not recommend the full clear case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed this time around I ordered the crystal clear symmetry cover for my iPhone 7 Plus because I had previously had the black crystal cover for my iPhone 6s Plus and was pleased with the clarity of it. The new case is not clear as you can see from the photos. It's not as evident in the photos but it's the difference between clear and frosted on my phone. They are two different color options for the edge of the same case style and should either both be clear or specified otherwise. Had the description of the case been accurate I would have ordered the black crystal option.

If something isn't right they fix it immediately. At this point I won't by any other cases except Otter Box.

It would be helpful if the back side had a few small ridges across to reduce the slickness of it. It did not come with a screen protector of any sort.

The case makes the jet black case look matte, dust is trapped in the back of the case, and the case is scratched up from basic use. Buy a commuter or defender series.

The case has excellent protection for a 7 Plus, but the back is hazy, so it deludes the color of the phone. Not sure if it was a defect, but it is not Crystal clear as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scratches and Yellow Rubber I got this case about 5 months ago when I first received my iPhone 7 Plus. For the first month or two, it was great, I had no issues whatsoever. The grip is good, and it was clear all around. Keyword: was. At this point, there are scratches throughout the back of the case which, other than looking generally bad, cast ugly shadows on the back of the phone when light is pointing at it. Also, the rubbery bits of the case along the sides and around the power/volume buttons has become a very unpleasant shade of yellow, and is slowly becoming orange. It looks really bad. In short, it is a good case in all aspects except aesthetics. After more than about two months, the case will really start to look dirty and old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from clear symmetry I bought a symmetry for my new iPhone 8 plus. It is a nice clean looking case, I ordered the clear with black trim. the case feel good in your hands. I did notice when I would put it to my ear to talk that I felt something sharp against my ear. there was a casting mark all the way around the case that was causing the problem. I had to take a small file to remove and all is good now. Have now dropped my phone yet so not sure how good it is at protection. But if it is anything like my last otter box it will work great.. The volume buttons are a little stiff, hope they will soften up with time and usage.

It's now March 5 and the case has already gotten the typical yellowing of the bumper around the screen. There's quite a big difference between the bumper color and the actual sparkly part of the case. I wanted a clear case to show my red iphone, and I thought that Otterbox would make a clear case that wouldn't start yellowing after 2 months. However, that's not the case here since I already feel like I need to get a new one because of how gross this one looks now.

However after only two months the case turned yellow. I called otterbox and they are going to replace my case for free except for a small shipping fee.. also great customer service.. So I got my wife the new gold iPhone 7 Plus and told her to pick out a case at the store. I told her I didn't matter what color phone you get because it's going to be covered up by a case. Then I looked online and saw the Clear Symmetry! Ordered it immediately and she loves it! Now she can show off her beautiful gold 7 Plus with the ultimate drop protection!

Whoever designed the case didn’t have the iPhone 7s to ensure that it actually worked with he phone and it’s components. I wouldn’t recommend it.

However, the back of the case is opaque instead of being clear like glass. Even though the case quality is good, this is very disappointing as it does not bring out the color of the phone.

Makes the phone a bit bulky and heavier then I like. But it sure is a pretty case and it sure does sparkle. I love it. When the sun hits it oh my it’s so pretty. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the case. I just wish it was a bit cheaper but other then that I do like it.

Also, this phone case scratches VERY easily, so be mindful of it at all times. Overall not completely pleased with this case, but I'm using it so clearly it's not a complete loss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrating yellow edges! Have only been using the case for a couple of weeks and already the rubber edges around the face side have turned completely yellow/green. This is extreamily noticeable between the white of the iPhone screen, and the truly clear plastic of the back. Also as others have mentioned the buttons are near impossible to press unless using one hand to steady the phone and the other to press, and I have large hands. Finally the case collects ridiculous amounts of dust and debris underneath which has to be regularly removed to avoid scratching the back of my phone. Extreamily unhappy as I trusted otterbox and paid for quality, and I could have paid a quarter of the price for better.

Have given to my daughter to use when she takes her phone to school, looks like it will certainly protect from knocks and bumps - but not something I want to carry around with me. Pros - sturdy, would protect against drops and knocks Cons - clunky and not the most attractive design shape-wise

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece I bought 2 of the iPhone 7 plus Crystal Clear cases and within 6 weeks the "rubbery" edges that touch the front of the phone turned yellow. So, when I first bought this one, I thought the glitter encased every part of the case. It doesn't. The same part that yellowed on the clear cases is clear (for now) with no glitter. I guess time will tell if it will yellow. I will be installing a Zagg gold full screen protector, tempered glass when it arrives, so if it does yellow, it won't be noticed.

Apparently EDEN is NOT made for the iPhone 7 Plus, so I got the Clear Stardust. Although I've only had it a few weeks, so far, so good. Should, however, the EDEN become available for the iPhone 7 Plus, I will definitely order one!

I always get high resale when a new iPhone is launched because my phone is in pristine condition. When I got my iPhone 6Plus, Otterbox was delayed in production because of such high demand. No matter what, I had to have a case or I wouldn't use my phone. I bought a VERY SUBSTANDARD case from a competing manufacturer. I was so disappointed. I couldn't wait for Otterbox to catch up on production. I was so happy when I got my case! I kept the 6Plus for 2 years... I got $315 resale!!! Thank you Otterbox for your Standards of Excellence!!

I have this and the alpha glass screen protector and it has saved my phone a few times already (when I've dropped it on hard tiles). The only con is that it is difficult to remove in order to switch to the Universe case for example. But that could be part of its robustness... I wonder if you have any tips about how to safely remove nail polish from it.

Because it is clear with some glitz, it enabled me to purchase a decal for my favorite team, put it on the back of my phone, and it displays great through the cover. It is not multi-layered so it is compact enough around my large phone that it doesn't make it feel significantly larger! Very pleased!

It was just today that otterbox fails me. :( I ordered online and have it shipped here in the Philippines for my jetblack iphone 7 plus. I noticed that after months of using it, the case is turning yellowish. The box of this case claims that this will not turn into yellow like the other cases. I'm really disappointed because I've been recommending this case to my friends and officemates even this is really costly here in the Philippines. It's really a big problem because we cannot contact otterbox toll free because we are living in asia. I hope someone from otterbox go an extramile go reach out to me and address the issue. This is really making me sad. The case doesn't look anymore. The back of the case is also not clear, it is more of an opaque one.

The reason why I wanted a new case because the old case that I had got really dirty real fast and it didn't make my phone look appealing anymore. My next option was to get a durable case that would last long, wont get dirty and would make my phone look nice and I got all three with this phone case, it doesn't make my phone look to bulky, its clear and easy to see my rose gold color and having the star dust look at the back of the case gives it a nice look. I've had this case for about four weeks now and I can say I love this case.

I dropped my phone on its back once and there is a fairly large scratch on the back now (of the case). All in all pretty good quality but the clear casing makes it really easy to see scratches and other kinds of damage.

I have the rose gold phone, and it looks very pretty. It is secure and my phone feels safe. So far I've had no discoloration on the edges. Other cases have turned dark around the screen edge from being in and out of pockets and purses. This case is still clear and clean.

I finally received my case today, and I was estatic. I was pleased to see that I had none of the issues that I had read in the reviews thus far (other than the somewhat hard to press volume/sleep buttons). Or so I thought. While I was admiring the beautiful glitter accent on my case I noticed a long scratch. This is my first Otterbox purchase, so I am a little upset that this is the first impression I am receiving. I decided to give three stars because I really don't want to give up on the company just yet, but I don't exactly like having my brand new case scratched right out of the box.

Otherwise I’m very pleased!! I have three other Otterbox covers for my iPhone 8Plus, and they all great covers. I tried the Symmetry Series Clear Case and it didn't work out. It was very hard to put on and take off. The buttons on the side of the case were hard to push, and it took several attempts to make them work. The back of the case always seemed dirty - I was constantly wiping it off to keep it clean. The case looks "cheap" - I was expecting more. I have a "Call to Duty" case, which I really like. I like the sleek look and feel, and the support this cover gives my phone. I have already returned the cover to Otter Box for a credit, after having it only one day. I wish Otter Box would make other sold color covers (like the Call to Duty covers). I am still a loyal fan of Otter Box, I just didn't like this particular cover.

It made the Matte Black iPhone look kinda grayish which is not good if you got this case to showcase that you have the new matte black and jet black colors. It's probably OK if you have the silver color just like in their pictures. It still does the job of protecting the phone while still retaining a slim figure. This is my 6th otterbox purchased (first one purchased here in their site) and I will still but an otterbox next time I change cases.

I don't worry about dropping my phone and damaging it. However... Within two weeks the top bumper of the case began to turn yellow/green. I have a white face on my phone so this stood out quite easily. I contacted OtterBox support and did receive a replacement, but unfortunately it has the exact same problem. Within two weeks, the bumper is turning yellow/green. I have read several replies to similar reviews where this is supposedly "atypical" for this case but after having two of them I would have to say it is in fact typical. My guess is that those who don't have white faces on their phones do not notice it nearly as much.

I'm disappointed that the case is not crystal clear to show off the beautiful finish on the phone. The phone looks like its matte black when in the case. I ordered the other Symmetry that has the black around the edges and clear back. My son has this case on his phone and the back is crystal clear. Hoping that case is like his. It will show off the phone. The phone slides in and out of my pocket easily and feels very nice in my hands. I'm not worried about any scratches. The on/off button is a bit hard to push but either I am getting used to it or it's getting easier to push. Nice protection for my phone.

I have had five Otter box cases throughout the years and I am always pleased with the product I receive. This case will be returned. I see another review stating that the clear case with the black trim is "Crystal Clear" in the 6S Plus version. Is this the case in the 7 Plus? If so I will order this case and see if it is more of what I was expecting.

I was a bit worried about spending so much on a phone case, however I wanted a case that would show off my rose gold colour along with protecting my phone. This case is everything I wanted! I absolutely love the glitter on the back, it’s so protective and very comfortable to hold. I’m sure this case will last a very long time, however if it doesn’t I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again!

My biggest issue is that the case seems to have a frosted appearance to the back... so my jet black iPhone now looks like it's a regular black iPhone. The main reason I purchased this case was to showcase the stunning jet black body and still get all the protection I've grown accustom too from otterbox, but 1 out 2 isn't bad.

The case is slippery at first and that is of concern to me. It is too new to know if this will change with wear.

The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because as others mentioned the power button is super annoying to press. My fiancé has the black symmetry and it is SO easy to push in, I really wish they were able to make it that way for all the cases. Also, the left side with the volume buttons is already starting to lift and I've only had it for about a week now so that's pretty upsetting. Other than that it's a really nice case.

It looks nice on my white iPhone 8plus but, I find that the buttons are very hard to press(volume and power buttons) so I am not sure if I will have it for much longer.

I bought it for that quality, but also specifically to show off the shiny new jet black iPhone. Unfortunately the case is not crystal clear as glass ; rather it will matte the appearance of that phone. it would be fine for all the other iPhone finishes.

I love how it show cases the color tone of my IPhone in the back as well as protect it from breaking when dropped. I've always purchased the thick glass screen protector with it and it's the best combo. I've been using Otter Box cases since the first IPhone and never broke my phone.

I have tried other cases over the years, but always come back to the Otterbox. I have had the Defender and the Commuter - and loved them for my iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 Plus. When I saw that Otterbox had a CLEAR case for the iPhone 7 Plus, I was super excited and knew I needed to try it out. I had not purchased a Symmetry case before, so was a little nervous -- but I reminded myself it was an Otterbox -- how could it NOT be awesome?!?! I have used my case for a week now and wouldn't trade it for anything. I love the clear case - now I can show off the beauty of the rose gold phone. Thanks for making a clear case, Otterbox!

Pros: slim, lightweight, durable Cons: sometimes slippery when handling, already getting scratches on the clear back and outer edge after a week. My only suggestion to improve this model would be to make the entire black outer edge rubber for grip and durability from scratching.

I've even set it on soft things like a mouse pad at work so it doesn't scrape anything. Kind of a bummer for how expensive it was.

This case is one piece, doesn't feel as industrial as other Otter Boxes, but that's why I like it. It is easy to put on, slides in and out of my pocket or handbag easily and I feel confident that this case will protect my phone if/when I drop it. I recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case Overall The case is overall great but clicking the power button (and volume control) is difficult at ALL times and I really have to press down super hard to get any kind of response from the phone. This may be because the button on the case sticks out too far from the phone or maybe it's too stiff. I'm not sure but it makes using the power button frustrating especially when trying to take a screenshot - it ends up closing the app because it's doesn't click quick enough. I had a Symmetry case for the iPhone 5S and it didn't have this issue. I am considering sending the iPhone 7 case back for these reasons. Other than the button issues, everything else about the case looks and works fine! It is clear and I am not having the other issues some reviewers have commented on about it being hazy. I would still recommend the case.

And it also looks sharp and slim. This case also protects the camera lens the case just goes out enough to protect if the phone were to fall back down. I also have the otterbox screen protector and it is so easy to put on, and theres no bubbles, and touch and clarity is perfect. I have always loved otterbox brand products and I hope you will too.

The only thing that is a negative is the buttons are very hard to press. She’s 11 years old and finds turning the volume up/down or locking the phone incredibly difficult. But hopefully after time they will become easier to press.
