Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid case for sure bought this case as a backup for my commuter case. feels good in my hand pocket. looks absolutely beautiful in the colorway I chose. only two issues I have are the buttons require a bit more thumb grease to press and the case doesn't work well with magnetic phone stands. I'll be using it when I travel and won't be using magnets. others that, this a nice case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great! This phone case is a beautiful two-tone color. It's easy to hold as the grip area has a bit of rubbery texture. It's already been dropped and fared well. The only drawback is using the side buttons. They are very hard to press. You have to use your fingernail and press really hard to get them to respond. That has been an issue. I'm giving it another couple of weeks to see if it gets easier. If not, will have to buys something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this because I loved my last one so much I bought this case because I had the exact same one for YEARS and it 10000% saved my phone’s life on many occasions - to the point that I wore it out and had to replace it (but my phone is still completely intact! An impressive feat considering I’m super clumsy and shattered a lot of my previous phones). Love the new color and it seems just as great at protecting my phone as my previous case. I will definitely stick with otterbox brand in the future.

A strong rainstorm blew in, and it poured... of course, I did not remember that I'd laid it down outside, while gardening... and then realized my mistake... I thought for sure that I'd 'trashed' my new phone, given to me as a present from my kids... Well, lo and behold, after letting it dry out a bit, the phone was not damaged or destroyed at all, as I thought it would be! Wow!! Great protective 'jacket' this Otter Box! I am very grateful!

I’m not a very clumsy person, but when I do drop my phone, it’s a doozey. And since I travel and partake it activities from water sports to dirt trail riding, it’s good to have something that will cover all bases. The only issue I, and my mom actually, have seen is that no matter what color, the front seems to rub off, discolor or something. I’m beginning to see it on this one after a week or so of use. Other than that, the case has always been reliable when it comes to protection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug as a bug in a rug I got this to use on my iPhone 8. It's fits well. Not too difficult to put the phone in or to remove it. It stays snug on the corners so it never wants to peel away from the phone. More importantly the sides remain rigid, so they don't bow out and catch on anything or let dust in. The buttons are firm and matched well. The case feels good in your hand or in your pocket. I've dropped a lot of phones in my day, and have never broke one that's been in an Otterbox case. Carpet floors, hard wood floors. Brick sidewalks. Concrete parking lots. I've survived it all. The case takes some scruffs but never breaks or tears either. The ports are accessible and works with most docks I've used. The only dock I've had trouble with recently is the Elevation dock. It didn't have a long enough room to maintain a locked connection the case is on.

My cell has taken a few tumbles, onto cement, no damage to my cell. I really love this new case because it is much thinner & easier to hold, and no cover over my charger outlet, the cover on the other one caused a little difficultly getting to my outlet. so far so good!!

Also, I think it would protect better if the corners were solid rubber instead of part plastic, part rubber type material. It was very easy to attach & doesn’t add too much weight to my phone.

I like how snug it fits and doesn't make my phone feel too bulky. The only thing I would change is maybe adding some type of grip feel to the sides or back, I feel like this slides around on a table very easily. Other then that one thing it's a great case.

Bought the exact same model for my iPhone 6 and this new 7 case version appears to have used different (plastic, not rubber) material and it is missing the bevelled edge that the 6 case version used to have. See the photo - anything that was gray was a softer rubber (important to protect phone when I dropped it) with a bevelled edge. The iPhone 7 case does not have the same quality. Disappointed.

I have accidentally slammed and dropped my phone on the concrete many times, and even dropped it flat on its face. The Symmetry case has protected my phone and kept it good as new. The fit is tight, so dirt and dust are unable to get in-between the case and the phone. Highly recommend.

This case is a hard gloss material that is different to any of my previous otter box cases, which makes it easier to keep clean. As always, it protects my phone. There have been a few bumps from a height & one onto bathroom tiles & my phone is absolutely fine.

I was ready for a new color and don’t like any of the ones carried in stores. I was leary about ordering online, as I like to feel the case before purchasing but it worked out. The body of the case has a slight texture to it.

I wanted something strong enough to protect my phone if I dropped it but slim enough to slip into my back pocket. The Otterbox Symmetry delivers! This is the second symmetry case I’ve owned and they did a great job of protecting my phones after being dropped several times. The maroon color is perfect for Texas A&M fans!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! I had a Symmetry for a iPhone 6 and I tried one or two other cases for it, but kept coming back to the Symmetry because it seemed the sturdiest. I just switched to an iPhone 7 and immediately shopped for an Otterbox Symmetry and to my surprise they had one in "red" (Rosso Corsa). I love the Otterbox Symmetry because it feels and looks like a quality product. The edges surrounding the screen provide grip and it easily slips in and out of my pocket or whatever I'm carrying it in. The best part is that I had a spare unused tempered glass screen protector (edge to edge) from my iphone 6 which I was able to use on the iphone 7, and it fit exactly to the edges with no interference at all from the Otterbox Symmetry case. I would buy an Otterbox case again and again and would recommend it to family and friends and strangers!

I've used these for all my iPhones and the new edition lives up to its name. The black compliments the phone perfectly and it's just feels naturally like a phone should. No doubt another years worth of scratch free protection.

The rubber area around the top also keeps the glass of the phone from hitting the ground if dropped and lands face. This is an excellent case for the iPhone.

The material is way too hard and it makes accessing the phone quickly almost impossible. Unfortunately I couldn’t return it within 14 but I would if I could.

The back of the case is easily scratched up though, and the front rubber (pink on this case) turns blue/black from my pants/purse & it isn't easily cleanable. I clean it every single day and it looks old/dingy and I haven't had it for even a month yet. My clear case from Otterbox did the same thing.. It turned an ugly yellow after having it for a few months.. The reason this product is getting 4/5 stars is because I drop my phone frequently and Otterbox always saves the day. Lost a star for the fact that the case is scratched up on back easily, and the rubber front piece gets dirty sooo quickly (but doesn't clean properly) and the rubber seems to stretch out if you remove the case to clean the case and phone.

Since the case is such a light color it makes the discoloration very obvious and displeasing to the eye. You would think for the price of the case that this would not happen so I am kind of disappointed with my purchase.

It was a bit much and I didn’t care for the whole built in screen protector thingy. After recently upgrading my phone I was looking for a case and saw the Symmetry series. This case feels rock solid and it feels like it adds some pretty serious protection to the phone without adding much bulk. Also the rubber edges aren’t a lint mangnet like on the Defender series. So far this case is just right for me and I’m happy with the purchase.

Based on earlier reviews, I chose a case with a darker colored rubber bumper to avoid the dirty look described by other folks, and I have not had problems so far. My phone feels protected, and there is enough weight to the case that I feel safe in knowing my phone won't fly out of my hand, like it would without a case. My only problem was how difficult it was to put my phone into this case. It was very stiff out of the box, and I thought for sure I was bending my phone. I feel like this case will have to be on my phone for eternity, since it won't be easy to remove.

I had a blonde moment and left my phone on the tonneau cover of my truck bed… and it fell off on a major roadway… when I realized it, I went back and located the phone! It felt a bit too massive for me (the material is also quite hard, I imagined something softer like rubber) and actually had to buy another slimmer case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very sturdy case Ordered this case in the stardust option and am really pleased with it. It’s tricky to get on and off but fits snugly to the phone which is what you want. It does start off stiff to use the buttons but I’ve had it a few weeks now and got used to it. The case is also holding it own against any discolouration. Going in and out of my back jeans pocket, previous (cheaper) cases have always turned blue after a couple of weeks but this case still looks good on my gold iPhone 8. Would definitely recommend!

It’s so disappointing after paying so much.Now I bought black symmetry it’s OK.Otterbox you need to resolve this problem with cases going dirty.The protection for my phone however is excellent!

I was hoping that the material was like my black Symmetry Otterbox (where it leaves no finger prints or scratches). It was different and on the first day it was scratched from just normal wear and usage so I don’t even use it. This was a gift from my company that accompanied an award I won so I am disappointed that I it was a bust. â?¹ï¸ ** I tried to take a photo but due to the color it doesn’t show all the scratches.

Light weight, slim, but tough enough to protect my phone. I have dropped my other phone a few times while it was in this case, and never had an issue.

It's a great single piece case that's already saved my phone from 2 drops. Neither the front nor back glass showed any signs of damage. This being after dropped on hardwood floors. The case is also thin enough to allow for wireless charging which is something the larger cases do not. 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from could have been perfect just got this case for iPhone 7 love the perfect fit without bulk ,nice precision protection for the lighting jack area and speakers and decent depth to camera surround and really looks good and buttons have a good not to hard to press feel the miss here is as nice and scratch resistant the poly carbonate back is and ease of slipping in pocket ,its as slippery as a wet bar of soap ,and as protective as you claim this case is it is you still don't want to drop such an expensive phone if you can help it ,another layer of the more gripple tpu on the middle back section of case maybe even the otterbox logo melded into that design would have let me give u guys 5 stars ,wish i was on the design team ,on this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The rubber edge won't come clean I want to love this case so badly. It's beautiful and functional. I do think it keeps my phone safe. Unfortunately, it gets dirty so fast that it's not worth buying. I'm a really clean, careful person, and I'm usually able to keep my belongings in great condition. I had this phone case for less than a week when I first realized that the light-colored rubber was attracting a very visible line of dirt. Scrubbing it didn't work, with any product (I tried many). I've had it about a month now, and I've had to soak it in isopropyl alcohol multiple times trying to keep it looking good. It's the only thing I've found that even kind of works to remove the marks. Do not buy this case. It's cute until you realize that you will never be able to make it not look at least a little gross. I'm not going to keep using it, and I'm really disappointed in what feels like a huge waste of money.

You have to push it really hard and even then it might not go off until you have to hold your phone is a weird position so you can eventually turn it off ! Just slightly annoying but what can I do about it

Got this case and was impressed with the light weight and slim design. When I switch phones, I’ll buy another one of these cases for it.

It doesn’t add massively to the size of the phone, so it’s still easy enough to hold it in one hand. The colours are great and the mixture of plastic and rubber, it’s sturdy and comfortable at the same time. My only small minus point is that the rubbery edges of the phone near the screen got dirty quite quickly and I haven’t figured out yet how to clean it.

I'm able to put it in my back pocket and it didn't fall out yet. Its easy to hold and type my iPhone with the case. I suggest you to buy this if you like "not too thick iPhone case."

All the ports and buttons work well even as they are covered and protected. It keeps your phone slim, yet adequately protected. I would recommend looking at a more protective case if your lifestyle warrants it. Shipping was an absolute dream. I didn't expect it to arrive so soon but it ended up arriving days before my iPhone 7!

After trying a half dozen other cases several years ago for my older iPhone I got an Otterbox and it protected my phone better than anything so when I got my new iPhone there wasn't any doubt in my mind what case to purchase to protect my investment.

My phone hasn't taken any terrible falls, but it seems really durable! My only complaint is that the screen isn't protected, which is why I only gave 4 stars. But I purchased an alpha glass tempered glass cover and it's working well together! I had bought the wrong size and had no trouble returning it. Great customer service.

A black phone in my possession is half lost...in a black purse...same thing. Just make the sides colored. Previously I had a neon cover, it was awesome.

The rubber around the speakers and charging port broke off. Then the rubber around the volume up and down buttons broke off as well. I was upset at the fact that the case only lasted for a year. Surely otter box would make their phone case last longer.

The buttons are extremely hard to push (sore fingers), the color is actually two tone (black and red when I wanted just red), getting the phone into the case was very hard to do and it’s very thick and you have OTTERBOX stamped in huge letters on the back of the case. Over priced! I want my money back!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Without an Otterbox, be ready to buy a new phone! This is my third Otterbox in the 3.5 years I have owned my iPhone 8 . . . and that's not a complaint, it's a compliment! The first two Otterboxes did exactly what they were supposed to do, taking the brunt of impacts that otherwise would have destroyed my iPhone. The first one lasted through two drops exactly on the corner on concrete (and saved my phone both times), and the second one took even more. I don't drop my phone often (maybe 6-7 times in 3.5 years), but Otterbox is a necessity for those rare occasions. Otterbox is the only reason I have not had to buy a new iPhone . . . so at $40 a pop, it is a bargain -- and beautiful to boot!

The Otterbox came apart from the hot water - but my iPhone survived. So I got a new Otterbox and I love it, almost as much as I love the old one that helped to save my phone.

It feels incredibly good to hold, I love that it doesn't make the phone more bulky, and it looks so nice. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish, yet still protective phone case. The only downside is that the power button is a bit hard to press? But that's very alright.

I thought it was more like the other one that comes in 2wo pieces, and it feels like I’m going to break my phone getting it in and out. It doesn’t fit with any holster either so you got to buy a separate thing to hold on to it.
