Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I had an otter box previously it was broken ( by TSA) didn’t know what brand it was and I have been looking for a while ordered three different cases hated all of them finally remembered it was an OtterBox ordered it immediately! absolutely love this it fits my iPad. It doesn’t have sharp edges. The fabric is soft on the inside easy to hold doesn’t hurt my hands.

The most disappointing thing is the stand feature short or tall is that it will collapse very easily. Somewhat usable on a table but will not work in a lap by any means.

But I was given this one because it also has a pencil holder for my Apple Pencil. I was so excited & happy about that. The holder falls off all the time & my pencil falls out. If I forget & pick the iPad up by the side where the holder is, the holder falls off & I have dropped the iPad. The holder is secured with magnets which are not nearly strong enough. If I leave the case off, then the edge of my iPad is left unprotected. Do not recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnets barely hold and sometimes don't at all The magnets barely hold and sometimes don't at all when the case is folded flat on the back. It is very irritating to have it flapping in the middle while holding the iPad with one hand and trying to use the touchscreen or Apple Pencil with the other. Also, the triangle prop formation doesn't hold well at all, if you happen to touch it, it falls. I purchased this at a reputable third party retailer when I bought my iPad. Unfortunately I did not realize the problems with it (which other reviewers have brought forward as well) until after the return window (my bad). Seeing the other reviews and responses by Otterbox to call Customer Service, I did so to no avail. I was told that because I purchased this from a third party seller they could not refund, replace, etc., so $89 wasted. Very disappointed especially because Otterbox is well known and usually provides good products.

My 6 year old moved and accidentally dropped the tablet from the couch and it broke right off, being not that high of a drop but I guess the right drop for it to pop off but it just stays on because of the magnets. I got it because I wanted the color red to show but now I’m regretting it just to show the color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Worthy of the Otterbox Name Otterbox used to be synonymous with rugged, worry-free protection for mobile devices. I've kept an Otterbox on my phone for the better part of a decade but the iPad products haven't been as well designed. I understand the need to go sleek to appeal to more customers but this product has gone too far. It feels fragile. The construction looks lazy and/or incomplete. I had it on my iPad for less than a week and already the transparent part is scratched up. The worst part though is the pencil tray. It's so bad that I thought I had a defective product. One side pulls out further than the other. The four parts that connect it to the main body aren't the same height which is what made me think it was defective but I called and spoke to a representative who confirmed that hers is like that too. When you push it in - similar issue - it doesn't lay flush. It looks like it's broken on the inside. When I do have a pencil in it, I feel like it could break at any time. Definitely not worth the price or the Otterbox name. Needless to say, it will be going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay Away. In my opinion it suffers from poor product design and poor product manufacture. The pen holder slot fell out after four days and couldn’t be put back in. The design itself is super uncomfortable and clunky to use and to hold. I had concerns whether this was an actual Otterbox product and a dupe instead it was that bad; but I bought it from Otterbox direct so that ruled that out.

They stand behind their products and sent me a different case that I know to be durable as we have three others. Otterbox will continue to be our first stop for case needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!! Do not buy this. The piece that hold the pen keeps coming off without holding a pen. With a pen, forget about it, it’s worthless. The folding cover shows in the pictures that it will support the iPad in a reclined position. It won’t. The folding cover will not stick to the back it just flops around. This thing is garbage, we were very disappointed in this product since all of our experience with otter ox has been positive in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poorly made case. Horrible shipping practices!!!! First, Otterbox's shipping company is ridiculous!! This took 2 and a half weeks to get to me. I tried calling several times only to be on hold for 45 minutes. The 3rd time after 30 minute's I finally got to talk to someone. They told me it was not unusual for there to be delays in shipping. None of the other items we ordered had any of the shipping problems this did. Very bad shipping!!! The case is of poor quality. The flap that covers the screen does not seem to line up correctly, and flops around a lot. Look for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case doesn’t match dimensions of iPad. The case does not line up with the buttons, for instance the volume buttons have to be accessed by wedging the case off since the buttons on the case don’t engage the buttons on the iPad when pressed.

Very poor mechanical design. And so, I decided to call Otter's 'awesome' customer service for a replacement and have been on hold for over 15 minutes.

However the back connection to the cover began to loosen and lose function after a year of daily use. I really expected better from Otterbox since this is such an expensive case.
