Rated 5 out of 5 byEJ927 from Solid CaseI was an Otterbox Defender user for my Galaxy S to the Galaxy S4, when I switched to Lifeproof. Since then, Samsung has gotten their phones the same water intrusion rating as a Lifeproof case, so I started to look for other options.Along comes the Pursuit. It promised the same or better protection as the defender while cutting down a chunk of it's bulk and somehow improving the sound. At almost the same price point as a Lifeproof, I went for it, and I'm glad I did. The case is no more difficult to put on than a defender or a Lifeproof, but a little finesse is required. The back is hard plastic, which makes for a very pocket friendly case. The rubber hasn't started to lift away from the corners, which was a problem with the defender series. It has a rubber gasket around the part that seals the screen to prevent any nonsense from getting into the case through the sides, as well as a gasket around the camera cutout in the back that prevents intrusion from that area as well. I don't like glass screen protectors, so I use an IQ Shield Liquid Skin, and the two work perfectly together. I took the case off after about a month, and there were no dirt or dust particles inside. The crazy part is the sound. The case routes the sound directly from the downward firing speakers right into your face, so my phone actually feels like it's gotten LOUDER. Both mics work perfectly, and nobody has noticed a difference in call quality. Another thing I didn't like about Lifeproof is their screen protector would have the pixel effect on Samsung's beautiful screens.Overall, this is probably my favorite case EVER. The level of protection is there, but it doesnt require sacrificing your screen quality, sound, and pocketability. The screen and cameras are uninhibited, and it adds minimal bulk to the phone itself. I work as a firefighter/emt, I like to work on my truck, go hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and camping, and the case has made it through fine. I just took it off again before writing this, and the phone looks brand new. If you're thinking about it, go for it.

The only drawback in my opinion is that it feels a little too slick/slippery in the hand. I assume this probably because it is designed to got into pants pockets.
