The previous 2 Otterbox cases I purchased came with the holster as a packaged deal. When paying $70+ for a case, I believe you get my point.

The quality of these cases gets poorer and poorer with every iteration. This case for the iPhone 17 is so cheaply made and at the highest price I ever paid. The front no longer has a plastic encasement to keep dust out. Also, the extra step to get the belt clip was time I didn’t really have to waste. Never again will I buy a otterbox product. There are more sturdy brands for less money.

You charge a VERY high price for the item. I shouldn’t be waiting on it in mail!! already sent a review and was told it was due to “sustainability” for not including it when purchasing the case. Since then, I have purchased 3 for the various IPhones and two more for the two IPads I have had over the last 10 years+. They have saved me many hundreds of dollars and a lot of grief. I have looked at other phone cases and in my view, no other product provides better protection.

That was followed up with a Defender case for each issued company iPhone (6S, XR & 13). I worked field service for retail store security and the phones took a beating at times. Not one of them suffered any damage other than a cracked screen protector (screen was ok). Now I am retired, my new iPhone 17 of course has an OtterBox Defender.

I also really love the textured rubber outer layer that gives the phone a very nice nonslip grip. I also really love that the outer nonslip grip comes with a cover for the charging port. I work a dirty job so it’s really nice, that it helps keep dirt and dust out of it.

This is my second Defender case having used the first one for 6 years without ever a problem, iPhone is always protected well from falls onto hard surfaces. However, I’ve had this Otterbox cover for just over one month. The pins that keep the cover locked onto the phone case have broken off. The cover won’t stay attached and I’ll need to get a replacement.
