I am sure that i haven't put the case with any fade color stuff but the TPU edge of case have some black color on it and looks is a chemistry problem. i hope Otterbox can contact me further and can help me do any after selling service to me. thank you!

Slides off the corners when I stick it in my pocket and have to be popped back on. It does fit though, and looks very pretty. Dropped phone a couple times and kept it quite safe.

The entire back of my phone is absolutely shattered from it being dropped with this case on it. You can tell by looking at it, that the blunt ridge around the camera actually caused MORE force on the back of the phone, as you can see that’s where the pressure was focused. I won’t be buying anymore otterbox products after this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bane of my existence I've used the Symmetry series for my last 3 iPhones. All of them were excellent, when I would santize my phone with rubbing alcohol. HOWEVER, this new version for the iPhone 14 Pro (and likely the other iPhone14 versions) gets tacky to the touch with alcohol. Even if I santize my hands and grab my phone before my hands are completely dry. The "rubbery" bumper chemically reacts to the rubbing alcohol and it will stay sticky for hours -- ACTUAL HOURS. Sticky to the point that it will show your fingerprints in the plastic, unless you erase it with more isopropyl. It's gotten to the point that I've avoided santizing my hands at time in order to handle my phone. First world priorities... This is a sensory nightmare if you santize your hands regularly. I would gladly have replaced my last phone with a refurb if I knew the case quality had tanked. On the plus side, I have dropped my phone lots of times, and it has never broken like some of these reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First case from otterbox that disappointed me. I have been buying only otterbox cases for my phone now, I have an otterbox defender and an otterbox defender xt for my 14 pro. I wanted to try a smaller form factor and maybe a more vibrant color so I went with the lime color, BIG MISTAKE! literally within the first two weeks I got it it got super duty on the sides and shows some discoloration nothing like the other two otterbox cases I have. The form factor is great, sleek and slim but it looks super dirty withing just two weeks, this is just not good, sadly my timeframe of returning this case is gone, if you get it, do it in the black or darker colors do not get any of the bright ones, wish I would've done that myself.

I have tried many ways to clean it and nothing has shown any improvement. I have never disliked my OtterBox case. Rated 5 out of 5 by from YELLOWS VERY QUICKLY I got my first case, in which the MagSafe magnets broke off on the inside, and it began to yellow on the sides after about three weeks. I don't live in extreme temperatures or anything and my phone doesn't stay in the sun. So I filed a warranty claim due to the magnet issue and had to pay another $10 for a replacement case of the same kind, and this one is doing the same thing. I can't say the case doesn't protect-- I'm sure it does. But you'd expect a clear case that doesn't yellow within a month for $50. Very disappointed. It isn't even worth the $10 warranty replacement. I'd like a completely different case.

The crack appears to have propagated from the ridge on the case around the camera bump. It appears that the glass on the phone is unable to stand the stresses caused by pressure placed on the glass by the ridge. A thicker, flat case instead of the thinest case possible with a tall ridge around the camera would prevent any stress concentrations that break the glass. I am at fault for putting my phone in a position in which it could fall so easily. However, Otterbox should not have made a case that concentrates pressure on such a vulnerable part of the phone.

There is something defective with the design on this case for the back of phone. I got a new phone a few months ago and decided to give otter a go and pay the higher prices. Dropped once and phone shattered on back. It started from the camera lens that apparently the case is not protective enough from when it lands on ground. The cover allos the lens to be flush with case which doesn't absorb any of the "shock" when hits a hard surface. The crack starts at lens,then runs down the back. Kind of like a chip on windshield that starts in one spot and then runs down further. DON'T PURCHASE THE SYMMETRY + FOR YOU IPHONE 14 PRO! POOR DESIGN!!!!

The company cases, even the low end series, have never disappointed. By reading reviews and company responses, the company doesn’t warrant/cover broken back screens only makes me wonder that they know the phones are and will in future be prone to the backs shattering easily from a slightest drop.

After a month of use I dropped my phone less than three feet while in the case and the back shattered and splintered into a million pieces.

All was fine (except the usual color transfer with a clear case) until I noticed the back of my phone was shattered. I’ve had this case for about 2 months and today I think I had a minor drop of my phone (by minor the only thing I recall is dropping it while getting out of my car) with the case on and I came inside to sit down and noticed my iPhone was shattered. I wish I could share a picture of how bad it is. Thankfully I got insurance, but still has to pay for repairs due to this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cute but I love the way this case looks but seeing as it doesn’t have a ton of protection for the camera on the back I bought a protective camera tempered glass cover. The case fits so snugly around the camera that it no longer fits properly with the tempered glass. The corner pops off extraordinarily easy. I’m really bummed. My husband said he could try sanding it down but it will need a pretty decent amount removed. So if you like protecting the camera, which is huge on the iphone 14’s, then it may be best not to get this case.

The color is beautiful, and it felt very secure. I’ve dropped my phone so many times and nothing has broken except yesterday when my phone fell off my table and the entire back of my phone shattered. I only think otter boxes are great if you get the heavy duty tactical cases, and let’s be real those aren’t cute. Again, dropped my phone many times before with this case but and never had an issue until yesterday. And I check my phone every time I drop it. Still gonna keep using it but like dang lol.

The edges are rough- it scrapes my fingers where I hold the phone and irritates my ear when I'm on a call to the point where it will be red and inflamed for a good while after I'm done. And, after two weeks of use the sides are discolored and look filthy. It has protected my phone after being dropped, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about it. Looking for something else to better suit my needs.

I first bought Otterbox for my S10 and it lasted me over 2 years before the rubber siding detached from the backer. For my 14 pro i started by paying $50 and less than a year later i am paying $10 to have another one shipped. Basic math here, between the 2 I am at $30 each which is more than some cases that last well more than a year. it was fine when with my s10 case since it lasted much longer but not even a year... the quality definitely isn't what it use to be. BUT! my first issue (common to light colored cases) is that the rubber sides discolored instantly and nothing works to clean it! Now that i have my 2nd case i tried various methods to clean the original and nothing works.

I’m not even sure when it happen, but I opened my case the other day and the entire back of my IPhone is shattered. This is a $500 dollar replacement. It consistently slips off the corners and obviously does not protect very well.

I've had my case for 2 months, within a couple weeks it began to discolor and just got worse. I tried to clean it with rubbing alcohol last night. The material used around the edge of the case turned gooey and got stuff all over my hands and my phone, enough so you can see fingerprints dried into the case. Worst part is once the goo dried, the case is rock hard and I can't use any buttons now. Otterbox typically replies to poor reviews with a scripted message about having a great warranty, this thing is going in the trash once I have a replacement. You'd have to pay me to use another Otterbox product.

It’s a bit shimmery which i didn’t expect, but it looks really nice. It’s more of a champagne tone than brown/beige. Really happy with the case!! Seems a bit over priced but I’m assuming it will be a sturdy long lasting case. Looks adorable with my pop socket too :)

This is the first time I have used this style, and I love the pattern but I wish it stayed on my phone better. Any time that I put it into my pocket or hold it wrong it comes off the phone. I am constantly having to push my phone back into the case. I love OtterBox, but likely won’t pick this line again.

Unfortunately after about 6 weeks of use the sides have turned this brown shade. Im rarely dissatisfied with OtterBox my last case lasted 2.5 years with no staining at all and got tons of compliments on it. Just a bad material I suppose ???????

To my surprise Otterbox changed the case. This case is nothing special and I would compare it to many $14 cases sold on-line. It looks and feels cheap and is not like its predecessor. Know that this case is supposed to be for MagSafe products, but this was another disappointment due to its weak magnets. Not sure what's going on at Otterbox but they could consider a redesign on this case.

This case has left me disappointed. the cutout for the camera has a lip on it from the manufacturing process that doesn’t allow the case to fully seat. I did fix this problem with #400 #800 #1000 #1500 #5000 grit sandpaper but for such a expensive case this has left me disappointed

I pick it up and there’s no cracks on the front Until I take the case off and there’s cracks everywhere on the back. After my frustration I just deal with it. A few weeks later I drop it off my couch. And there’s a crack on the front of the screen. I am so disappointed with this case and will NEVER be buying a OtterBox again and do not recommend at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t Survive 3 ft Drop! I have used an otterbox and tempered glass screen protector with my iPhone 14 Pro from day 1. I have taken good care of it and not done anything significant that should cause damage to it. Then one fateful day, I dropped my phone while removing it from my pocket, and the entire back cracked. The crack started on the side of the camera bump, so I suspect a design flaw created a pressure point that caused the phone to crack when dropped a certain way. Otherwise, it’s a good case, but there is no point in having one if it cannot survive a 3 ft fall. It definitely does not meet the 3x Mil Std rating that Otterbox claims, but Otterbox does not stand by their product and will not replace the phone.

The case, however, isn’t damaged at all. The drop was less than three feet. I am going back to the rubberized Defender if OtterBox makes one for the 14 pro plus since OtterBox clearly doesn’t make a magsafe case that can protect the phone from normal impact. If not I’m looking elsewhere. I’ve been using Otters for years and this is the first time the case completely failed. I dropped my 8 plus many times and never had an issue with the Symmetry. FAIL on this one.

I was walking in the door this morning and my dog got excited and jumped on me. My phone fell and the whole back is now shattered… I spent a lot of money on otterbox over the years because I figured it was worth it since they almost guarantee these will protect your phones. I guess now I have to spend another fortune to get my phone fixed. Thanks otterbox

Front glass is fine because of tempered glass…but the back of phone shattered inside this case! $500 to repair iPhone!

Now, the side of the case has detached from the back, and before this, the back of my phone completely shattered despite me never taking the case off. I’m very disappointed considering otterbox claims to be the most trusted brand in smartphone protection, their case couldn’t even protect my phone for less than a year! And now I have to pay for my cracked phone even though it was supposed to have been protected by this case.

I have dropped it twice that I can remember. I just noticed my screen is chipped at the edge and the screen protector is cracked in completely different places. ????? going to be searching for a new case asap. Seems ridiculous.

I don't drop my phone often and I'm not even sure when it happened. I just looked at my phone one day and noticed cracking around the camera lens, and when I took the case off for the first time since getting my phone, the entire back was ruined. I've used Otterbox cases for a long time and am really disappointed that the protection and quality has gone down so much.

It’s extremely difficult to get on and off the phone, which makes me wonder if the size is inaccurate and contributed to my cracked iPhone. I chose the symmetry case because it’s cute and although it doesn’t seem big and bulky, I believed it would protect my new iPhone. The case is slick and very thin, and unfortunately easily slips out of hands, pockets, or off of smooth surfaces. My phone slid off of my bed and onto the ground, and the back of my new iPhone completely shattered, including the camera. I’ve had this phone and case for less than a month, so I’m obviously very disappointed. I understand a case is no guarantee of protection, but I believe it should have done a bit more to protect the phone. I would encourage anyone viewing this case to consider something with more protection.

I'm convinced a cheap amazon case would be as good if not better than this. Usually otterbox is very protective but not the case here. Also the case is incredibly slippery and has no traction. The case is falling apart now and can't even get warranty because it's out of stock, but i'm not sure i'd want a replacement anyway.

The warranty doesn't cover damage to the phone and they charge you $9.99 shipping to replace the case.

So next I bought the plain black one because it seemed to have a more secure fit but that was my biggest mistake. My phone fell off the couch (literally like 2 feet) and shattered the back glass. I've bought otterboxes for years and have never ever had this kind of problem. Thankfully I have apple care+ but I am super disappointed in the case.

The back of a brand new iPhone 14 Pro is shattered from a 3-ish foot drop. OtterBox puts their name on it (hence purchasing it at Verizon when we got the new phone), but there is actually no warranty because they “are not the manufacturer.” Why would we want a new case (at a cost) when this one was terrible to begin with? Absolute nonsense.

Great color options however the camera lens extends further than cutout on the case, which caused the glass back of my phone to completely crack from the first small drop of my phone. This drop was from the phone sliding off the couch to the floor, roughly 18” below and landing flat on its back. The case offered minimally more protection than having no case at all, potentially no more protection. An additional annoyance with this case is the mag safe connections. They are poorly secured to the case and will fall out of their holes attaching themselves to the back of the phone and requiring the removal of the case to realign, which furthers the cracks your phone back will certainly have if your using this case. OtterBox typically offers more protection then other cases which gives them the brand recognition allowing for the price premium, however the quality simply does not justify the price for offering no protection whatsoever.

I usually get the LifeProof Case, but wanted a cuter option rather than the plain looking case. I don’t understand how they don’t have cute commuter/life proof cases already, because a smashed phone would be avoided. Do NOT get the OtterBox Symmetry Cases unless you want a SMASHED back glad of your $1000+ phone. It took one little drop out of my hand to smash the whole back of my phone with this case. Do not waste $50 on these cute “safe” cases for your phone. You may as well just get an Amazon case. I’m lucky I had a camera cover on mine or else my whole phone would be destroyed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phone back SHATTERED I purchased this Otterbox Symmetry Series+ with my new iPhone 14 pro back in October of 2022. I like the slim look and pretty color. However, I noticed my camera protector was cracked yesterday, so I took the case off to change the camera protector and realized the ENTIRE back of my phone and parts of the camera are completely SHATTERED. Luckily, the case contained the broken pieces of glass (resulting in a 2 star rating rather than 1), but it did not protect my phone. I chose Otterbox because I have heard great things from others. After this experience, I will be looking for a different case brand that will actually PROTECT my phone. On my last phone, I had a $12 case from Amazon, and my phone never shattered. Clearly, the money spent on the case was definitely not worth it.

Fast forward after the receipt of this case 3 weeks ago. Drop the phone, and boom! Case is solid, but phone is not. The phone shattered, and back to my cell phone company the phone goes! I dropped my phone once after 6 months and the whole back screen shattered. My phone has never been out of the case. I know OTTERBox’s response is to offer a new case instead of standing by their product. Really disappointing. I’m asking my office to switch case companies as well since they use Otterboxes for our work phones. No accountability is a big problem.

The corners tend to have an issue staying on which is annoying sometimes if you keep it in your pocket like I do. The worst part about the case is how the rubber edging has discolored to a yellowish brown. It looks disgusting and for the price of this case I expected better. I’ve had discoloring a few years ago with a clear case so I have stuck with colored cases since then. None have given me this big of an issue. It’s such a shame because it’s such a pretty case, just not anymore.

The corners pop out when in my pocket and dust/pet hair collects between the phone and the case. Also the edges of the case discolored after just a few weeks. I went through the warranty process and now have a new case on the way but I had to pay $9.99 for the shipping. It seems wrong to me that I have to pay anything at all considering the reason I am getting this new case is due to a manufacturing error and what must have been lack of prototype testing.

The case is smooth, and the magnet is strong. It works well with my MagSafe PopSocket and PopWallet, and it also holds well to the OtterBox MagSafe charging stand (and other brands). This was the 5th case I tried for my iPhone 14 pro, and I would definitely recommend it.

The back of the phone, protected by the case, slammed into the pavement. The case was damaged, but the phone is intact! (And the fall was hard enough my Apple Watch thought I had been in a crash and was ready to call 911.) Before the heavy fall, the case was great. The Bluetiful color looks gray in some lights and blue in others, but I like it.

Sad but its the worst case comes apart after a few moths rubber comes away from the back and good luck getting in touch with customer service to get a new one from the warranty they will not answer a email the chat is worthless and when you call be sure you have a hour to wait on hold and the get hung up on. This is my third OtterBox case all have failed all were replace Im still tying to get someone to replace my current one cant get anyone on the phone. Bummer because when these cases dont come apart they work really well.

I had this case (and my phone) for less than a month and it slipped off the couch on to the laminate floors, MAYBE 2 feet, and completely shattered my phone. I had a Symmetry case on my iPhone 11 for years and never had an issue. There is definitely a serious defect in the camera lip on this case. Incredibly disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit and function The case fits great. I also have more confidence in holding my phone because the case is less slick and allows for a more secure grip. The MagSafe works great and I am using the case with a pop socket wallet that is staying on perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Confusing experience I ordered a iPhone 14 Pro Symmetry Series+ Case for MagSafe and an Apple Watch Series 9/8/7 Eclipse Case in the “don’t even chai (brown). When my package arrived, it was 2 Apple Watch series 4 exo edge cases - blue and pink. I called customer service and they were very kind and sent out a replacement as that was not my correct order. When the order arrived again- I received a iPhone 12/13 camouflage defender pro case- I ended up contacting Otterbox again and requested a refund- customer service was great- fulfillment wasn’t- I would not order directly from them them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your back glass will shatter. DON'T BUY THIS CASE! My sister and I both bought this case and both of our phone's back glass shattered. She tried reaching out to Otterbox for support & got no help. I have never had an iPhone crack before but this case didn't hold up. Don't buy it, you'll regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Otterbox case! I just bought this case for my iPhone14 Pro and I love it! I have used Otterbox cases for many years and I trust them explicitly to protect my phone. The Symmetry case is my favorite! My husband uses the Defender Series cases for every phone he buys. Thank you Otterbox for continuing to make the best cases!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neon Green symmetry case Great shade of green! Sturdy and well-fitted. Only negative thing I will say is that the front rubber-trim discolors quickly, (as in it looks dirty after a few days of pulling it in and out of your pocket).
