it’s a nice case i like it but everytime my phone is dropped it comes off my phone and my screen protector gets damaged. I’ve had several different otterbox cases and they offer a lot more protection and don’t come off as easily. 3 stars because it is a good brand but this case probably is just not the best option.

Incorrect items
I recently upgraded from a first generation IPhone Se to an IPhone 12. When the case and holster arrived, the case was to big as well as the holster. I returned both back to you with an explanation of what was wrong and asked for a correction of this problem and I still have not heard anything. Both items were ordered on 12/11/23 and returned the next day. Your help with correcting this problem would be greatly.

BAD Iphone Case
This case has a ridge around the camera. When the phone landed flat on the back it shattered the back glass of my iPhone 12 Pro MAX. I would say this is a flaw in the design.

I have had been using the Commuter case for iPhone 11, and now iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was well protected after I dropped my iPhones many times, no crack or broken. Love this good grip and the color.

Very nice and protective but...
I've used the Commuter the last few years and found it a good balance between protection and not being obtrusive. I got another one for my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but found myself regretting it only for the fact it is not MagSafe compatible. That's very unfortunate when lots of other Otterbox cases are. So I got a Symmetry case that is but yearn for the Commuter.

Very Happy with my Commuter Case!
This is my fourth Otterbox Commuter Case! The first was for an Android Phone. The other three have been for Apple phones! I like the way it installs and the “rubbery” side grips.
The Apple phones are so slim (good thing and smooth that i feel uncomfortable grabbing the phone for fear of loosing it out of my hands. With the Commuter Case, I can confidently “grab” my phone with no worries about dropping it.

Is not MagSafe compatible
I have had the commuter series case for every iPhone I’ve had for years. It’s hands down my favorite. It didn’t seem to be available right away for the 13 Pro Max. So when I saw it I grabbed it. It’s exactly what you’d expect if you’ve ever had a commuter series case. But I didn’t read the fine print and found that it is not MagSafe compatible. I’m bummed because I’ve already bought into the MagSafe ecosystem. Now to use it I have to take the case off. I’m back on the search for the perfect MagSafe compatible case.

Does not work with Apple MagSafe
Very disappointed. I just bought this case from Amazon. It does not work at all with Apple MagSafe. The whole reason I bought it was for that. The magnets do not stick at all. I no longer have the packaging so now I’m stuck with this $40 case.

Misleading feature labeling, but nice case
The responses to customer complaints about this product not working with MagSafe products directly contradicts the features listed for this case. The case is very well made, and comfortable to carry, but the company that makes this product does not see an issue with dishonest labeling of the features they use to promote the product. My last Otterbox product.

Not as great as they ONCE were
Too bad that a short 2ft drop to thick carpet cracked the case and now it is falling apart. I had Otterbox for years on older phones and I like them until they got bulky and gradually more and more expensive. I started using Spigen cases and those were some great cases. When I found the Commuter case, I thought great, not as bulky and not as expensive. I take care of my phones, and the cases that I use on them. I always make sure to keep ahold of the phone other than the rare time it happens to get knocked off the desk. That desk is in a bedroom with medium pile carpet and a decent cushion under the carpet, so it is safe. But be forewarned, the military doesn't actual do the testing.....companies like Otterbox should be doing it on their own to military standard. Things tell me they just use that standard talk as a means of marketing their product. They 'might' do testing when they put out a new product, but otherwise what you see on the package and the website is probably just there as a means to sell their product.
After this, I'm done with Otterbox. It's up to you as a consumer to go with who YOU think is a good product, but I'll tell you that Otterbox isn't as great as they're made out to be. I've had Spigen cases for years, whether on my iPhone, my Apple Watch or even previous Samsung Galaxy phones I used to use. They were taken care of just like my current iPhone and anytime there was a drop, there was absolutely no damage to the case, let alone the phone. Here is a simple short drop and the case is already compromised. Do yourself a favor, go with Spigen or another case maker....you'll pay less but probably get much better protection
I know the case is there to protect the phone and if the case has a crack, then it's doing its job....I get it, but compared to the Spigen cases I've used to years that have NEVER cracked once, that tells me that Otterbox is a crap case

I’ve been using a defender case on my IPhone 6S since the phone came out (with the same case for about 6 years and just bought this for my 13 pro max because I expected similar quality and this case is super disappointing.
This case doesn’t fit right, the rubber isn’t gripping the sides correctly around the volume and power buttons. There’s this loose area that dirt and dust can enter between your phone and case and will start damaging your phones finish over time. I know because this was a problem for the defender case back with the iPhone 5. They fixed this problem with the defenders for the iPhone 6 so I don’t why they went backwards. This new silicone is also less supple and harder feeling. It just doesn’t feel as protective.
The hard plastic shell is also not as good as the shell on my nearly 6 year old defender. This just isn’t holding the silicone well. It slips off so easily. If you had a bad drop in this case I wouldn’t be surprised if the silicone case popped out of the hard plastic shell.
I think you guys are trying too hard to get your old case designs to conform to wireless charging and MagSafe and ended up making subpar cases in return. Just go with the old school heavy duty designs for the older defender and commuter cases and create new designs that are MagSafe compatible instead of making your old designs bad.
TLDR: Will not buy again, will not recommend. These don’t fit right anymore and aren’t as protective as they used to be.

I’ve consistently used Otterbox cases for 3 different phone upgrades over the years, and they never disappoint! My phone stays protected and in good shape no matter how many times I’ve dropped it (which is a good deal of times because I’m clumsy lol. Thank you again Otterbox!

I normally love otter box but…
I normally love otter box but I’m really sad that my case already has 2 random cracks in it around the camera, especially for the price of it… Hoping for a replacement ?? Or maybe a different case from otter box because I’m not sure this will happen again with the cracks. I feel bad leaving 2 stars, Otterbox is always my go to for phone cases for years.

Not really MagSafe compatible
Very disappointed in this product. All of my iPhones have been inside of an otterbox case since the beginning of time. For my 13pro max, this case isnt truly MagSafe compatible. Yes the MagSafe charger does work through the case but the magnetic connection is very weak. You have to keep the phone still or just laying down flat on the MagSafe which makes using the phone while charging not very practical.

MagSafe Issues
I really like this case and have used earlier models in the past. This is listed as a MagSafe compatible case but the magnet is non existent and will not hold the MagSafe disk. I lost the order number and cannot return it.

Ok case but does not allow for wireless charging
I purchased and received my case for the iPhone pro max commuter series. This case does not allow me to charge wirelessly. The magnet does not connect and I must hold it myself in just the right spot for it to work. What a pain!!!

Case was a pain to get to line up
The rubber part was a pain to line up to snap the shell in. A few times i thought it wasn’t going to fit. Was ready to give up and demand a refund. But it finally lined up. This is the worst case for taking your phone out of and back in. Once you get it in correctly it seems like it definitely will protect the phone.
