Okay but has flaws
The case that goes around the Otterbox is great but the shell that protects the screen and can be used as a stand is about as bad as it gets. When using the stand it gets stuck and to put it back it nearly break every time as if it gets stuck truly an awful design. Other than the stand the case does as expected.

If you want a screen protector, DON'T BUY THE PRO!
I made the mistake of buying the Pro instead of the regular version, only to discover that it doesn't come with the built-in screen protector. For another $50 I can buy one to add to it, or return this one and buy the regular one again (minus $5 for shipping of course!). I'm just returning it and buying one from another company. The black stand is difficult to operate and the black piece entirely is VERY hard to remove. I foolishly thought you'd be able to use the camera when the black piece was attached as well (nope!). I do not understand why something marketed as "Pro" would have less protection than the regular version. It was easy to install at least. I guess I would recommend the actual case, but NOT the black stand or the fact that there's no screen protector.

Sturdy!!
Solid case / stand…I love the new design. It sits at a nice angle both in portrait and landscape mode. And I also appreciate that this one doesn’t have the removable side piece to expose the area on the side where it charges the Apple Pencil. The only thing I don’t like is that it only holds the Apple Pencil. The Logitech Crayon won’t fit in there. Kind of a limitation…

I have all my Apple products in Otterbox. And was really excited after watching the video that this case had a cover.. the video is old that isn’t the actual case I purchased, it is an older version. Maybe add a note that there is NO screen protection on the $122.47 CND case. I could have bought locally on a store sale for less and got the screen cover same day.

Misleading Installation Video - No Screen Cover
I specifically watched the instal video to make sure this came with a screen cover. I stupidly didn’t look at the reviews because I’ve always bought OtterBox cases for my phones and iPads and didn’t expect the website to be deliberately misleading. And now I see from the review responses that I should just shell out another x dollars to buy a screen protector on top of this expensive case? If you’ve removed the screen cover to make it compatible, then update the installation video. You are being very misleading.

Please bring back the old pop up stand
As othere mentioned the new folding stand is useless. It’s flimsy and breaks easily and not easy to use. The pop up stand on the inside of the previous defenders was perfect. Don’t fix what’s not broken. Too bad cause I really live this series for my kids.

Protection at its finest
Finally got a chance to test this product. It was pretty easy to get this on my ipad. It provides features that allows you to go hands free as well with how the product is built, which is always great! Anyway, people generally buy this brand based on it's reputation for being able to protect the product/or ipad in this instance. And that it did. I had my daughter play on it, and she threw it down a couple steps of stairs, and low and behold, no impact, no cracks to the ipad. It provided great protection!

Very happy with this product. Protects the device from water and dropping. Good for kids who are rough and careless. Black color prevents the case from looking dirty and scuffs are camouflaged. Very practical product.

I have always put otter box cases on my devices, I have to say very disappointed in this case. It it is not well made at all. The stand is cheaply made, it love the way the order stands are for the other otter box’s. You can not reverse the camera, because it does not have a hole for it.

The solid plastic clip on back and stand see aweful the case itself is alright but do not waste your money just go buy i nice one piece you will break the stand becuse it is weak and very hard to close and open especially don’t recommend for protecting a kids iPad get something easier to use

I hope the very slim adjustable stand will last.
It has taken me a bit to familiarize myself with the versatile stand that is built into the case. The mechanism to change the angle seems a little bendy and thin, it makes a lot of creaking noises upon moving, so hopefully this won’t affect its longevity. Everything else about it is good and as expected from Otterbox.

Deceptive marketing. Not accurate.
Everyone who watches the video shows a screen projector is part of the unit. Same video for the Pro and non Pro models. Your responses to upset owners of the Pro Defender is that they didn’t read the specs. Correct your error and Otter should pay for the return shipping. Why would the Pro model provide the least amount of protection. Marketing has the two models backwards.

I received this Otterbox Defender for my iPad 10th generation and absolutely LOVE it! I always purchase protection for my new devices and always Otterbox because they make the best products available. This one is used on my 5 year olds iPad and given that she drops it multiple times I never have to worry about any cracked screens or damages. Like ever! The iPad Defender Pro is a fantastic investment if you wish to keep your iPad looking and acting like new. The case is the classic Otterbox heavy duty crash protector that fits the iPad like a glove. It’s even better because of the crystal clear built in screen protector and two way stand if you want to watch a movie. The cherry on top is the microban anti microbial coating and port protectors over the charging port and everywhere else. This is a very good product.

Solid case, could use a few updates
This case has been useful in keeping our iPad protected from dings and falls, in Otterbox fashion, but it falls short in a few key areas. Firstly, the case doesn't fit as well around the camera as one might like, however I rarely use the iPad for taking photos, so that is not much of an issue for me. Secondly, the stand is quite cumbersome to set up and I have seen much better/easier to use stands on previous iterations of the product. If you have little use for the camera and don't often use a stand, it is a good product.

This product includes a iPad case and an additional protecter piece with a stand. The iPad case itself is just fine , but the additional protecter piece stand is so cheap and not functional. The stand gets stuck constantly and trying to close it without breaking it took me almost ten minutes. I chose this case specifically because it came with a stand for the iPad and now I’ve wasted money. For $90 I expected way better quality.

The tilt mechanism for reading/gaming is cheesy. Not smooth and very awkward to adjust in/out. Feels like it will break very easily. Also, no screen protector unlike other otter box cases

Pretty disappointed! Bought for a Christmas gift and received manufacture defective item.
So right off the bat we have to spend ten more bucks to hopefully receive a product we can use. At this point having had to take pictures and jump through your hoops. (and wait several business days for your convenience.) QC at your place not mine!

No, the stand on this Otterbox is almost Impossible to use. You missed the mark in trying to make it so you didn’t have to remove the back to stand it up. It’s so hard to manipulate the stand, it’s still easier to take the back off. Next time I buy a new iPad, I’ll looked for an alternative

Good case, terrible screen shield/stand
I have used otterbox products for many years and have relied on the defender series of cases to protect my devices. Overall I am fairly pleased with this case, however I am disappointed with the screen shield/stand. The stand redesign seems ore flimsy and stubborn than before, and I hesitate to use it for fear of breaking the case. In addition there is a sizable chunk of material missing to make room for carrying the Apple Pencil (which I do not have) which leaves a portion of the screen exposed even when the shield is in place. This irritates me a great deal. Again, I don’t know why they did this when the previous case allowed for storage of the Apple Pencil on the underside of the shield.

The iPad 10 folding stand is useless.
I’ve used Otterbox on every Apple device I’ve ever owned. The folding stand for my IPad 9 was perfect. The folding stand for the 10 is a joke. In making it super adjustable you’ve ruined ease and functionality. I’ll be amazed if this frustrating, flimsy stand lasts even a couple of months.
The case is great as always but I use the stand often. Terribly disappointed.

Otterbox is no longer good. Case is cheap feeling. The stand is flimsy and enraging to use. It's just bad all the way around. I miss the old cases that had a built in screen protector. I'm done buying Otterboxes. And now the return/refund process is taking like a month to be processed. What a joke this company has become.
