Ordered the correct one on Amazon and it’s great aside from the camera button being extremely sensitive. I did have to shave down the rubber so it’s less sensitive now. Customer service was not helpful nor responded to my return request on the one I ordered directly from the site. Now I have a $80 case that’s good for nothing.

My phone is constantly in the camera & I swear I haven’t touched the button. It’s a major design flaw. OtterBox said there’d be a fix but there’s been no follow up & nothing sent out to me. BUY ELSEWHERE!

The case does a great job of keeping my new phone safe and protected, but something is off with the design of the camera control button. Even the slightest contact opens the camera setting for visual intelligence. I can’t figure out what the design flaw is, but out of the case, the camera control isn’t as sensitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this case not realizing that it was a new design of the original defender. I have had the otterbox defender on nearly every iPhone i have ever had and have really enjoyed them. This however being only 2 piece construction disappointed me. I've always enjoyed the rubber backing on the defenders but this has a slippery plastic back on it. also, I ordered the camo one, and the camo is simply a sticker they placed on the back plastic. On my specific case the sticker was not centered correctly and being the perfectionist that I am it has really bothered me. To summarize, this case has not lived up to the quality i have come to expect from otterbox and I have been pretty disappointed. It certainly doesn't appear to be worth the money especially when you compare it to other similar cases that are priced below it.

I can't get excited over having a new iPhone because my cover keeps activating. They have NO update on when replacement will be available and made me buy a different cover until they can get the replacement covers in stock.... NOT HAPPY WITH OTTERBOX and I how they treat a loyal customer!

Just in my coat pocket. My only explanation is that it must have been hit at a weird angle by my door key in my pocket or something like that. The crack is next to the ring on/off button on the phone. But really I thought this would provide more protection. Hugely disappointed.

My main issue with this case is that the ridges near the charging port are very uncomfortable on my pinky with the way I naturally hold my phone and causes pain, so I will be returning and likely ordering a different series.

I cannot count the times that I have dropped my phone without a scratch. There are copycats, but there is none better than OtterBox.

I have it turned off right now because of how sensitive it is my fingers accidentally hit that button all the time, but it is a solid case. I’ve dropped it once already took it like a champ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvement of an already great product I have been an Otterbox Defender user for many years. I have never incurred an incident that damaged my phone because of how well the Defender protection system works. However, the silicone cover would grow and deteriorate over time from body oil and other oils. This would cause me to have to purchase another case. (Total disclosure, I typically don’t upgrade my iPhone until it’s 4 or more years old). The Defender Pro XT doesn’t have that silicon cover which will alleviate that issue. Also MagSafe charging works flawlessly with this case. I have found no issues with phone functionality using the Pro XT. With or without the holster this is a well designed product. Otterbox has hit a home run on this one! Love the look also verses the black silicone.

But I am in a wheelchair and clip the iphone on the bottom of my wheelchair seat. So, when I grab the phone with the clipper on it, I've got to take the clip off to be able to use the photo section and other aspects and features of my iphone.

My mag safe charger has significantly scratched the clear back. It makes my phone look bad. Cool case if you’re super careful with your iPhone! But if you’re that careful. You probably don’t need a defender case in the first place. I’m still waiting on my replacement. One without a clear back.
