Doesn’t need a screen protector
I’ve had this phone with the same case for 2 and a half years, without a screen protector. I hate screen protectors so this case stood out to me. I dropped it hundreds of times and I to this day still have not one scratch or crack.: it’s made so you don’t need to have a screen protector on your phone

Took a chance, I’m impressed
My go to phone case company recently went out of business so I tried the Otter Box Defender Pro. Sure adds bulk, but That’s where the protection is. The fit and finish is most impressive. I need the belt clip feature and it’s hard to find a robust one, seems companies aren’t offering much for clips. The whole package is quality, the case will probably outlast the phone. I should’ve looked to Otter Box years ago.

easier openings needed
nice case but seems to me the flaps to both the charge port and the silence "switch" are too difficult to open. you need two hands and seems the flap should open the opposite way it opens for easier access.

Its an OtterBox
Have had the iphones every couple years since the 3G model. Always had em encased in the Defender. I work in Facility Maintenance. Im on roofs, asphalt, concrete, kitchens, retail areas, fueling stations for semi trucks and cars. And im a hunter. Yes, my phone has been dropped a few times. When i trade em in or sell they are still out of the box new condition. No scratches, no broken screens...EVER!
This Defender series lacks the screen protector which we all know got nasty fast, scratches, debris collection underneath etc. I’m ok with it not having the built in screen saver so time will tell. I have a screen protector in place so it just adds to the cost of protection where the old Defender series it was inclusive. For the same cost as previous Defender series models would have been really nice if Otter would have included a separate screen saver along with the case or lower the cost.

Still the best
I have had several Otterbox cases over the years and despite being completely happy with them I decided to buy something else just because. Mistake. I just replaced this other brand with another great Otterbox. Lesson learned. Some things are better than other things.

iPhone 11 Pro Defender
I have had this version of the Defender for a few weeks now - it is much tighter in the belt clip than the one I had for my iPhone X - this is both good and bad. You don't want the phone to fall out of the clip but at the same time you don't want to have "fight" to get it back into the clip especially when you are driving a motor vehicle. This one borders on TOO tight due to the case on the actual phone being just a little bit too big (although I am sure it is within manufacturing specifications. It does the same good job of protecting the phone that all the Defender series has done for many years.

Not quite what I expected
I was unfortunately very disappointed. The case didn’t have a protective screen nor was I able to fit my iPhone 11 INTO it. I was also unable to reach anyone in customer service for assistance so in turn, I ended up returning the case. Awaiting confirmation of receipt and refund now.

Interferes with functionality of speaker phone
I too have been an OtterBox loyal customer for well over a decade in protecting my iPhones with the Defender series. I have had my iPhone 11Pro for two years with the Realtree/Blaze Orange combo Defender case and up until recently, too busy to address this problem I have had over this span. I have found one Apple discussion board where other uses have wrote of the same problem, which is, phone cases imped telephone conversations while on speakerphone. Where the other party has difficulty hearing my comments conveying that my comments are oscillating in and out. But once I pull the rubber part of the case off, the other party has no problem hearing my words. Otterbox hadn’t heard of this issue but sent me a new one under Warranty, which did not resolve this issue. I am currently looking to try another Otterbox series that hopefully resolves this issue. In sum, I have had 5 Defender series over the years, and never once had an experience where it failed to protect my phones from falls and other imperils.
