My new case got in the day before I got the new phone. I love the Defender case since I switched over to it. My friend used to break her phone every month. I told her about the Defender series and she has gone 4 months without breaking a phone. New record. That is how good the Defender series really is.

My phone is secure and it also helps me to hold my phone. It has like a non slip rubbery plastic so it’s scruwlly harder to drop the phone when it’s on.

The case seems to be just as durable as all the others I’ve had. Otterbox has a quality product but should not have took away the screen on the defender series

I've subjected these cases to ridiculous amounts of accidental abuse, and at no point (even if the case itself breaks) has it allowed any damage to the phone within. If you're rough on your expensive phones, Defender is the way to go. Also - for the iPhone XS Max, the screenless Defender case is an EXACT fit with the Bodyguardz tempered glass privacy screen, which is my personal go-to for screen protection. This differs from the older Defender cases which had the screen cover.

IT is a little more bulky but the phone is very well protected and when it's time for a new phone, the old one, when I take it out of the case looks brand new. I can't ask for more than that. This is my 3rd otter box case (since it's my 3rd iPhone upgrade) and I just had to be sure I got a defender series since the last one made it through a ride on the top of my car, fell off onto the road and I had to go back and find it after I lost my connection in the car! Low and behold, the otter box was a little beat up but my iPhone was in perfect condition! I will alway own an otter box for my phone!!!

Have been using the defender series since the iPhone 5 and every new release the design gets better and better. Normal wear and tear and accidental drops will be 100% protected. However raging and throwing your phone as hard as you can against the wall will not LOL. Definitely recommend the defender series 2 people who need the most protection possible Autre box also stands behind their product with a limited lifetime warranty on the case.

Basically, I purchased a product which was unusable. I tried several times to the point I thought I might damage the new phone. I do not recommend purchasing this case. Overall, I am impressed with Otter Box and afterwards purchased the Otter Box Symmetry Series case for the same phone which fit perfect.

The case went on with ease, it provides the protection I expected it to, and it fits comfortably in my hands! My job requires me to wear a large belt that is similar to the belts police wear (although I'm not in law enforcement). The belt I wear for work is 2 inches wide, the clip on the holster for this case doesn't quite fit on my belt, however, it still goes on and keeps my phone right where I need it. That would be the only reason I would rate it 4 stars, but it is not advertised to fit belts this large, so I still give this 5 stars! I also have had a little bit of a hard time when I need to silence or unsilence my phone. The protective cover for that switch is a little stiff, which is great to keep dirt and other stuff away from my phone, but for my lifestyle, the cover isn't necessary. For more strenuous lifestyles, I'm sure this is perfect! So overall, I love the case! It does exactly what I wanted it to do, exceeds my expectations, and keeps my phone safe! Highly recommend!

You just have to have big pocket due to the fact that the phone will not easily slip into the ones that the phone will fit otherwise. My friend bought the same case to his iPhone 6S some time ago and got the screen protector for free but this was not included in my case. Why, I don't know...

However, one issue that I've noticed is that my phone will sometimes "pocket dial" as the side button covers are a bit sensitive. At one point, 911 was called! While I appreciate the side buttons are protected, maybe the material should be a bit more sturdy to prevent "pocket" dialing.

I have never had an issue with breaking or damaging any of my phones and I owe it all to Otter Box. Defender is my preference because it doesn’t slide on any surface. I am comfortable with the children using my phone only because of this product.

The case made the phone much heavier but did its job to protect the case. Like the fact that there is a piece of clear plastic covering the logo so it doesn’t get scratched and there is some grip to the case so it isn’t that slippery.

I feel secure in the integrity of my phone, I'm not worried about what will happen when (not if) I drop it, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the feel of the phone in the case in my hands. It's nice and grippy, and feels substantial. I love the color, it was represented perfectly in the pictures on the site. I love the doors for the vibration switch and plug, it's the best solution for protecting them while still allowing access that I've seen, and they're just the right amount of resistive to avoid accidental openings. I simply could not be happier with this case.

Both snapped and fit perfect and I was ready to go five minutes after the package arrived. Was surprised by the built in tripod feature using the clip hold back detent. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It even charges wirelessly I bought this before my Xs Max came in. I thought I was giving up wireless charging by using this case. Not the case. LOL No pun intended. It charges wirelessly right through the case. They don’t even tell you this. They should definitely let people know this in big letters right on the front page. Great case.

If you want a screen protector get the one from here that works. the nonsense about no screen protector built in is just that if you want one get it. I had the defender for the 6 plus for years and had zero issues in multiple climates and areas around the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I bought this last week for my 17yr old lad as I purchased the IPhone xs max for him he struggles with holding a case as he degloved his hand 4yrs ago and gripping is difficult this case is the best great texture feels solid looks fantastic would recommend this to every one with expensive phone. Well done otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Case Otterbox is my go to case! Using some other brand makes me feel uncomfortable especially with an expensive phone like the iPhone Xs Max. My only gripe is the belt clip that comes with the Otterbox case. I have no use for it at all! It should be sold separately! Don’t order it online if you live far away like Hawaii. It will take forever and it will already be in stores by the time you get it.

With iPhones costing so much now this case offers unmatched protection. Its nice to have peace of mind knowing you have the best case shielding your phone from danger!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPhone XS max case I bought the defender just like I did with my iPhone X and my iPad fourth gen. First off I like otter box don't get me wrong but every time they come out with a new product for a new device it falls very short. My first iPad case the back runner part started sagging after about four months of use got another about two years after the first and it seemed to be made of something better because I never had a problem with it again. My iPhone X was the front inner plastic cracked about two months in no big deal but still should have lasted longer than that and now the max case I just got the back rubber is starting to get a little rubbery and the front plastic seem real flimsy like it might break down the road soon I treat my phones very well they never have been dropped or miss used in any way

A few years ago, when the iPhone 7 Plus was the bees knees, I loved the defender cases but I was always disappointed that they didn’t have the real tree cases for the plus size phones. So when I saw they had the realtree defender for the iPhone XS Max I ordered it as soon as I could. I got the case before my estimated delivery date and I will order another if this one ever breaks (not that it ever will). LOVE IT.

A good design just feels right, and this one certainly passes the test Much more expensive than the competition, but I have had otter box products for the last three iPhones I have had including the iPhone XS max

I used to have one for my iPhone 6s and just enjoyed it so very much. I am usually a careful person and almost never let anything fall down, but only three times my iPhone 6s fell down and the Defender was there just for that: To Defend It! Not a single scratch on the glass of my cellular! I hope this product never get discontinued no matter how many new iPhone models Apple brings up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most rugged case you can buy i needed a really rugged case for work since i work in a yard full of potholes and my expensive phone can fly and hit the floor with the otterbox defender i don't have to worry about the back and the sides cracking or scratching only the screen if it was to land on a rock theirs no rocks on my floor I'm good . I would definitely recommend the defender to anyone who needs to have extra protection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good case I got my XS max a few weeks ago and we all know the phone is really slippery. This case adds better grip to your phone and protects it really good also. It is a screen less case so if you’re interest in it but you also want the screen protection you’re gonna have to buy one separately. Without a screen protector it still is a great case and will protect your phone great just as long as you’re not dropping it face down on a rock or something like that. Overall it’s a great case and I highly recommend it.

I was never a fan of the built in, inadequate screen cover, so this Screenless Edition saved me some time taking the built in one off. Put a High Quality Screen Protector on it and you are almost bullet proof! Awesome Case Otters! Including a High Quality Screen Protector would really be the cherry on top!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price! Purchased this for my Husband who is a Diesel Mechanic. This case keeps his iPhone Xs Max like new inside the case. In his line of work his phone is subject to grease, oil and drops. When he trades his phone it is in new condition. This is the second case for this phone and only reason we had to get a new one was the charger port cover broke off due to the wear. We will continue to purchase Otter box for any future phones!
