My phone stays in my pocket unless it is charging or being used. I pulled it out of NY pocket only to find it broken. $60+ on a case that can't even last 6 months not again. My last case lasted over 2 years before it showed any wear.

I am very fortunate to have the OtterBox Defender Series Pro Case protecting my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Ultra for about four years now. It had its bumps and falls through the years which my cellphone survived it all. Most impressive since my cellphone survived them all even when I was sure that my cellphone couldn’t survive that one or that one, but it did and kept on working like nothing happened. Unfortunately, the Defender Case was badly damaged, so I had to have the Defender Pro Case replaced while my cellphone was oblivious to what has occurred to my Defender Case and kept on working like nothing happened (There was no damage to the cellphone at all. I found that most amazing.). Yep, the Defender Pro Case did its job and protected my cellphone while it was completely destroyed. Now, that’s the kind of case one would want for a cellphone, a case that really protects which is what the Defender Series Pro Case did. It really protected my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, to which I am most grateful. This case is truly a Defender. This Sunday was a most regrettable day. It brought sorrow to my heart. After many charges through the years, Sunday was to be the last charge that my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Ultra was to get. What a sad day. As the cellphone was charging, the battery (Lithium-Ion) exploded. As the shrapnel flew in all directions, the Defender Pro Case prevented anything from coming from the bottom or the top, and from the sides plastic and metal flew out. Needless to say that the phone and case was destroyed, but alot of damage was prevented because the bottom and top of the case remained intact even though it was badly twisted. I didn’t realize that hard rubber (Or whatever substance it’s made of.) could twist like that. What’s left now, looks like something that didn’t survive a war, is twisted metal from the cellphone and material from the Defender Pro Case. Nobody should ever experience something like that. Most shocking. I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra on the internet that is Unlocked with 1TB (1,000 Gigabytes) and 16 Gigabytes Ram. Unlocked allows you to change chips so that you can call and receive calls as local calls. And I am also ordering the Galaxy S23 Ultra Defender Series Pro Case which will Protect me from another battery explosion if that should occur again. Preferably, this was one and only such occurrence. Wishing all well, Ed.

I literally dropped it from my couch arm to the floor and the inner shell already had a crack in it. It was one of the first times i dropped my phone. I'm so disappointed with this product

I tend to drop my phone occasionally onto concrete and tarmac, the otterbox defender has saved my wallet and my phone for the past 4 generations of galaxy phones. The case tends to last the 2 1/2 - 3 years that I keep my phones.

However, had I known that this case has a flap that covers the power cord plug, I might have chosen a different style. I appreciate that it is probably for keeping dust & lint out, but, it is inconvenient. I have owned more than a few Otterbox cases and none of them had this feature. Still, a very quality product.

The case feels very sturdy and less bulky than past defender cases, even though it's a bigger case it still fits in my pocket very nicely. Like the antimicrobial aspect too. Overall I feel my phone will be very well protected in this case.

Most of the time I have to remove the case while on the car or any wirelessly charging. This is the main reason I am giving 4 star, other than that the case feels durable. (I do not have to remove 2 layers of otterbox, only remove one layer and it works)

As thick as the case is, there is plenty of room for a small low profile stand that can still hold the phone up. The stand doesn't even have to be long that it would not really take much from the design. Weight is nice but I now feel I can use my phone for self defense. If I needed to throw something and a brick was no where to be found... I'll surely use the phone :) Color is neat. Kind of like a copper top Duracell color with the navy blue. Grips nice, phone is wide already and the case makes it bulkier. Needs time to get used to. Not bad but not 5 stars. Sorry ??

I have never had a issue with my phone breaking when I have dropped it with my otterbox. And when there was a crack in the case plastic after having had it for over a year they sent me a new case no issues. They really stand behind their products. My only issue is that they move away from earth tones toward brighter colors. As I use the case color to find my phone a lot of the time. The brighter the color the easier I can find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case poor clip I LOVE the case itself the color, the protection, and the feel is all top notch. That being said the holster clip needs a lot of improvement. I've already had it replaced through warranty once and both belt clips broke on the first day of light use. Just wearing it around my office. It would bump a counter or any surface and snap off. Likely this is helped by the s23 ultra being a monster of a phone. Still sticking with otter box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High performance drop protection I've been a faithful OtterBox user for years and the S23U defender version is just as great as ever. My last otter lasted over three years, and kept my old s20 in pristine condition. I love the new 'canyon sun' colorway with its contrast of pink and blue. It is a bit bulky since the S23U is already a big phone, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the supreme drop protection the defender affords. Fortunately it fits in most of my pockets just fine. I also added a popsocket to the back- it adhered strongly, so if you'll be investing in one know that it grips just fine. I've had mine for three weeks now and have had a few drops-so far so good-I'm confident it will keep my S23U in perfect condition for a few years until my next upgrade. I highly recommend this case if you want the best protection for your new galaxy.

It seems like it will offer there usual superior protection of my phone. However it is very uncomfortable, almost abrasive - with the patterns they have etched in to the outer case.

This case is an awesome color blue, it adds a nice touch to the sky blue S23 Ultra. I have a Samsung branded stand up charger and I have had no problems getting it to charge as soon as I put it on the stand for the night.i know this case will protect my phone from any damages as they always do. My phones are always in new condition come trade in time. Pair it with an OtterBox screen protector and you are good to go. So high five to OtterBox for the case and the color choices this time.

Shipping on a new defective item should have a prepaid label or compensate me back for paying shipping. you paying for shipping back to me isnt helping me because i'm still out $10. otter box customer service is horrible and i dont know why i keep coming back.

The grip on the back around the outside is very aggressive and will hold your phone on a lot of surfaces but the way I hold the phone it digs into my skin. It is so annoying I am considering doing something to make it less aggressive or switch covers.

This case is an excellent example of why I've bought Otterbox cases for every single phone that I've owned for many years, and if this continues to be the standard then I will be buying and recommending them for many more years. It was easy to get my phone into the case, and the pieces snapped together without any trouble. It feels very solid and sturdy, and I have full confidence in this case's ability to protect my phone if I drop it at some point. I've chosen the Canyon Sun variety and I really like the look of the case. The colors are pleasant and appealing. I have to admit that I really like the design of this case. Not only does it feel like a secure and sturdy case, it also looks the part. I'd call this a pretty stylish case! There's a little gap in the corner to allow access to the S23 Ultra's built-in S-Pen, and that space allows sufficient room to access it without any difficulty. I'm also pretty happy that the camera cutout on the back doesn't interfere with the camera protector that I've purchased to go along with this case. Additionally, I've noticed that the protective flap for the charging port is a bit more flexible and soft than with other cases I've seen, including past Otterbox cases. I see this as a plus, as an extremely stiff flap would mean more risk of damage to the charging port when it is in use. I would definitely recommend buying this case for your S23 Ultra. It's absolutely worth it, especially considering how excellent Otterbox's customer support is. I've had times where I needed to use my warranty one time or another in the past and they've always made the process extremely pain-free. One way or another, you won't be disappointed.

There's no excitement and eagerness to receive my case. (Sadly) This is due to damage my phone as endured in the past, while "protected" It's still better than many others, which is why I've continued to purchase. I also must say the colors and designs or lack of, are certainly lacking luster - At this point they are just quite boring. Which is frustrating because I'm purchasing a case for a Samsung S23 Ultra - So this is ridiculous IMO. Lastly, but MOST IMPORTANTLY. These cases literally COLLECT dirt! I am a small business owner and work from home, I am slightly OCD about my purse(s) being squished or leaning a certain way and not letting it sit on the floor, with the concern it will dirty or damaged. With that said, I don't understand how my phone case can get SO DIRTY??!! I get the material may be needed to help protect your phone. But can't you line it differently on the outside? I'm tired of cleaning it and have moved on to a new company. It's certainly nice to have such a wide variety of options. However it definitely doesn't seem as sturdy as the OB Defender?? Taking my chances right now, and I can honestly say I'm happy to have taken the time to leave a review, as it's not something I typically do! DO NOT PURCHASE A LIGHT COLORED OR CLEAR CASE! You will regret it!

I've used otterbox for over a decade and this was either rushed or they didn't engineer it properly. This phone model I got was 1300 with tax. And a 65 case ruined it and cost me almost 500 to fix. Never again will I buy their products. This is unacceptable stating all they do to push this thru every cell store. You will regret buying this. I promise.

The assembly that broke is cheaply designed and held together with two dabs of glue. No wonder it broke os easy. Then to top it off I submitted for warranty and they did honor the warranty but felt it was necessary to charge me for the shipping of that new case. I have always had hit and miss luck with Otter products and lately they just seem to be cheaply made and higher priced and easily broken.

The reason for that is I bought the new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and purchased an Otterbox Defender case because they claim that it meets military standards. I dropped my phone from a 3-foot high kitchen counter onto a laminated floor. The case itself broke on the lower left corner and subsequently damaged the screen of my phone. I have attached pictures for reference. Samsung is asking for 500 CAD plus tax to fix the screen. I am very disappointed and regret trusting this brand.

I love that this defender series will allow me to charge my phone wirelessly. If you want something that is pretty or light. Then this phone case is not for you. But if you want functionality and piece of mind that your phone is safe then definitely recommend it.

I have dropped the phone many times and can say that Otterbox has saved my Samsung Galaxy phones. I started using them from the Galaxy S3. I have many friends that pull out their phones with cracked screens and cracked back sides. I always say "Get an Otterbox". I just got the S23 Ultra. Within 1 hour. The case was on and the Glass protector was on. I use the Whitestone Dome glass that is compatible with the Otterbox defender case. It is a great combination.

I ordered this case because it looks like from the picture it has a screen protector like most of the Otter box cases I have used, I know I should have read more carefully on the features, and that's my fault. It's very misleading, and I know I am not the only one who has had this problem.

I like everything about the cases except on this they completely left out any protection for the stylus port on the phone. I can tell already this is going to be a point of failure being that it's completely uncovered. Come on guys, this is supposed to be your rugged, heavy duty case. This is a weak attempt and you seem to be floundering with creating a better phone case.

My phone gets dropped or knocked off something at least 2 to 4 times a week. Was concerned it would not charge on the Samsung charger, however if phone is placed on its side and not standing charging is not an issue.

The case feels very sturdy and less bulky than past defender cases, even though it's a bigger case it still fits in my pocket very nicely. Like the antimicrobial aspect too. Overall I feel my phone will be very well protected in this case.

Had the same case on a s21 and it stuck out farther over the screen protected it fine . Not happy with this version after it was 420 $ to get it repaired.

My 1 month old phone fell off of my beach chair face down in a wave while sitting in the shallow surf ( our feet/shins were getting wet as waves rolled in) the phone was washing toward the ocean for a couple of more waves and my friend jumped up and grabbed it while it was face down and covered in the water during a wave. I took the rubber cover off and it only had a couple of wet areas. I disassembled the plastic inner cover and it was dry. Amazing. GO OTTERBOX!!! I was also concerned about the speaker and microphone but they worked fine---GO SAMSUNG S23! . VERY VERY HAPPY.

Slightly bent the case and cracked a small part of the case on the lower portion by the charging port cover. The belt clip holster received a few scuffs. Love this case and even with the cosmetic damage to the case, I find no reason to need to buy another one. Keep up the excellent work on your products. I stand by them and recommend them to anyone in need of quality protection! Thank you so much.

It has a lifetime / 7 year warranty but if Otter discontinues the item the warranty ends. Contacted customer service and this is what I was told.

My work environment and lifestyle are not overly kind on my phones so I don't care how bulky the case is as long as I can trust it to save my phone. I've had a Nexus 6p, Google Pixel XL, and a Google Pixel 3XL before my current Samsung S23 Ultra and all of those cases have been amazing. They've been dropped, ejected, and tossed several times and every time the phone was unscathed. I am sad to say this Defender case is not those of the past. My sisters and I both have the S23 Ultras and in less than 5 months of owning them we have BOTH broken our screens both using domeglass screen protectors and otterbox defender cases. The sides of the case are exactly level with the phone screen and not raised above the screen like previous iterations of the Defender cases so if you put on a screen protector, the screen will hit the surface before the case does. I lost my screen from a drop that was less than 3 feet (1m) and my sister cracked her screen from drop less than 2 feet (~.5m) on a table surface. My sisters and I are both going to have to spend another $380 each to get our screens replaced because of minor design change that should have never been made, and I will be looking for a different phone case for this phone.

Not as heavy so I don't think it will be as protective and the edges on it are not smooth so they feel rough on my fingers. Not happy!

When I bought the Galaxy S23 Ultra, choosing the case was a no brainer. All the while my new phone is sitting in the box as I refuse to use it without a case. I call yesterday, the prompt tells me I'm outside business hours and to check the chat. I check the chat, it asks me what they can do for me, I explain, then it asks if there's anything it can do for me. If nobody is going to man the chat, what is the point of having the chat opened as an option. I call today to speak to someone and it took about 10 minutes to speak to a representative. Needless to say, I'm returning the product if and when it decides to show up based on Otterbox's trash Customer Service.

They will replace the case but it gets exhausting when you shouldn't have to. The plastic cracks in the lower corners. I don't drop my phone they break from being in my pockets. Let me know when they don't break for the price you pay.

These cases are in my opinion the best way to keep your phone protected whilst providing a sleek look and feel. I can't find anything wrong with any of the OtterBox products.
