DOESN’T COME WITH SCREEN PROTECTOR
I wish it would have indicated that it doesn’t come with the screen protector attached like all the former “defender” cases come with. Was incredibly upset considering that’s the only reason I purchased this case. So yeah “defender series” with no screen protector, hope others read this before buying.

Yes ! I finally saw this case at my local cell phone store and I immediately purchased it . It Reminds me so much how I missed my OtterBox back in the days when I had the iPhone 4s . I don’t care that it doesn’t have mag safe because the lightning charger that come with the iPhone charges way faster . The case makes it easier for me to text and I love the outer material. I wished they came out with a pink color I would never take it off. Thank You otterbox

This OtterBox case is incredible. The package was easy to open and it was very straightforward to install on my phone. The fact that it integrates with a clip is excellent. I don’t always use a clip, but there are so many times when I do, and it is great to have a case that is designed perfectly with, an integrated clip. The case is very comfortable in the hand, and the controls are effortlessly lined up with the case. The camera ring adds to the case as it acts almost like a lens hood. The case is very comfortable and doesn’t slip and it also doesn’t resist coming out of a pocket or bag like a lot of other cases that have a grippy surface.

Not as secure as past units!
Disappointed-the phone case itself fits really well. The phone retention clip on the belt holster does not securely hold the phone, so I am constantly checking to make sure my phone is still with me. I have used Otterbox Defender cases for years, and never had the concerns that I am having with this one. I am using an iPhone pro, and they aren't cheap. I have been attempting to contact the company to see if I just got a bad belt clip holster, but no luck. I am looking at my options, as this belt clip holster does not secure the phone adequately. The phone case itself fits wonderfully. I'll look elsewhere for a phone case in the future unless the company can come through with a better phone retention clip.

I miss the full screen
I am a ride or die Otterbox Defender fan. I've had them on all my iPhones and *knock on wood* have never had one damaged within. This case is no different save for the lack of built in screen protection. I've dropped my phone countless times, and only just recently suffered a small crack in the corner of the case.

Otterbox Defender - IT IS NOT THE SAME
My husband and I have used the Defender Series case for years. Just got our new iphone 14 Pro's and purchased the Otterbox Defender for both phones. What a dissapointment. THIS IS NOT THE OTTERBOX DEFENDER THAT WE HAVE HAD IN THE PAST AND DEPEND ON. You should call this case something else since it does not have the protection of the older version -- NO SCREEN PROTECTOR. It would also be helpful if you made it clear that you NOW have to purchase a screen protector. I really don't care about your reasoning for the new case design -- if there are folks that want a more streamlined case, they can buy something else. This is not up to the standard of the old Otterbox Defender.

Top Quality
The great thing about the Defender series is they keep the same basic design because it just works. I will be the first to admit I've dropped my iphones more times than I can recall, and I have yet to have them crack or shatter with an Otterbox Defender. As with each generation, a belt clip snap on holster is included and just like every generation, I rarely use it as I prefer to just put my phone in my jeans or shorts pocket face in.

OtterBox Quality Can't Be Beat!
When you pay over $1,000 for a new phone, you don't want to skimp on protecting it with a case. OtterBox always makes great products and this new case for the iPhone 14 is no different. It provides a true level of comfort knowing my iPhone will be okay when you inevitably drop it. It still allows for the side buttons to work properly and doesn't add too much bulk to your phone. I don't and won't use the belt clip attachment, so I can't speak to that. But the case is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch phone protection.

Rugged & Grippy; Trouble with Wireless Charging
We bought this case for my wife, who has arthritis in her hands. She needed to case with maximum grippy texture, and the defender is great in that regard. She's previously used Speck Presidio Grip cases with the raised rubber strips, but they don't make those for newer iPhones.
Unfortunately, this case does not seem to support MagSafe charging, and does not do well with most of the Qi wireless chargers we have at home. For my wife, the grippiness has won her over, but for my new phone I'm going to want better wireless charging performance.

I just got a new iPhone 14 Pro so of course I want to protect it. Otter Box is definitely the brand I think of first when I need my phone to stay safe. This case gives me peace of mind that my phone is protected. It is a bit tricky to get your phone in this case, but hopefully that means that it’s very well protected with such a tight fit! I have already had a few small drops with this case on and so far no cracks! I don’t use the clip part that it comes with but it is a good option to have!

The best case for your Iphone Pro that you can buy
My family and I have used Otterboxes for many years--including the two vets in my family, and their mobiles have endured many drops and other adventures without any issues. I have only used the Iphone 14 Pro Defender for a short while so far, but I can tell that is one very rugged, no-nonsense case already. Pros: (1) cushioned, multilayered protection. (2) easy to slip your mobile in, and fits like a glove. (3) raised borders on the front as well as around the camera lenses at the back (4) allows for you to use a screen protector (purchased separately) for additional screen protection (5) is non slippery (6) all the buttons on the case work. Con: it does not allow for Magsafe charging, but this is a feature I don't need since Apple provides you with a lighting cable, and charging via a lighting cable is much faster than charging with a Magsafe. Overall, a superior, well-designed case that I expect to use for several years in the future.

My phone feels indestructible when it’s in this case! If you work construction or play action sports, you NEED this case. The only downside is it’s bulky for factor but that’s a small price to pay instead of breaking a $1k phone

What happened?
What happened to the Otterbox defender phone cover that I used to buy? I bought a new one today for my new IPhone and was so very disappointed at how thin and less protective the screen and camera was. I did buy a screen protector but I am still nervous about dropping it.

Having purchased OtterBox cases & holsters theough many generations of iPhones I have to say that this is the first one that I’m very disappointed with. The case fit is just so-so, a bit loose in spots. The holster? Just horrible! I’m on my second holster, this one a warranty replacement for the first poorly fitting one. The issue is that they do not grip the phone case tight enough so that the slightest touch or bump drops the phone. Just saying that I’m severely disappointed seems like an understatement.

i love OtterBox accessories, and the case is extremely rugged, but not MagSafe friendly. It clearly states it is MagSafe, but it wont work with the OtterBox MagSafe charger. The magnet won't hold the phone on the charger.

Fits perfectly everywhere, except it isn’t quite centered around ringer on/off switch. You can still access the switch, but if you have fat fingers it’s a little tricky to get even your pinky mail on it, it’s still doable, just tricky.

First, I've owned 4 Otter Box Cases on four iPhones. This newest one, on an iPhone 14, is thick and strong. It was easy to install with 2 attempts for alignment. This OB seems to come clean easier than previous ones I have had. It has dropped twice from ~4 ft. with no damage.

Do not waste your money on the 14 pro cover
iPhone 14 pro, Otter Box missed the mark on this model, phone can not be secured on clip. Phone will just fall to the ground. When a new Otter Box was sent to me, I was told this is my warranty replacement. Warranty replacement isn’t for their issues!

i wanted this for camping and fall festivities. it’s perfect, it’s even been drop tested 4x to military standard. i trust it with my life. it’s also 5G compatible so it’s great for my new iphone 14Pro. the case also has grip to it so it doesn’t slide around easily, the kickstand on the back of the holster doesn’t really provide much height, but it does support the phone, just not too much higher off the table. still convenient to have nonetheless.

I have always been a huge fan of the otter box cases so I knew I had to get it for my new phone. It is very nicely designed and built. It definitely keeps your phone safe. I am only docking it a star because it is to big and bulky for my liking especially with the belt clip.

This case is a very sturdy, tough shell case. I just recently got the iPhone 14 and had a silicone case on it but was still worried about accidental drops and breaking it. This case is definitely going to protect the front/back screens from any falls or drops. It is a bit bulkier than I am used to for everyday use so I will still probably use a lighter one for everyday and switch this one out for travel and more active situations where theres a higher potential of me dropping it or it getting broken. This case fits really well though and seems to be very well made and rugged. I will definitely be getting my husband one of these cases for everyday use since his job is more labor intensive, at least with this case I know our pricey phones will be well protected!

Just what I needed
I almost didn’t buy this case because of some of the reviews. I live at the beach and I need a case that covers all the ports because of sand. This is one of the few cases that does that. Watch the YouTube video, it’s easy to install, it fits like a dream, and it’s the ultimate protection. It is a little heavy and that’s the one trade off for a case like this but I love it.

Pretender, not a Defender.
I have had defender cases for years for my phones, because of the protection. I don’t want to worry if I accidentally drop my phone in the house if my phone is going to be ok. I never have worried with past defender cases if my phones going to be ok. With this case I worry if I drop my phone my phone will crack or break. This case is more like a symmetry case.
Unsure why Otterbox decided to take away the protective nature of Classic Defender Case. The sides are not lipped up the way my other defender cases have always been and the case around the camera is barely lipped. I fear if I drop my phone my cameras with be destroyed if it lands on the back.
Debating buying an older iPhone for a real defender case, that’s how bad this case is.

Hate the Color. Looks much different in person.
The case came in before my phone and I despise the blue color. It looked much different when i looked at it on both my laptop and current phone. I want to exchange it for a different color not return it but i don't see an option to do that on the site. :(

Fits the iPhone 14 Pro perfectly. Love the protection and the accurate color of case as shown online. Because of the case’s thickness, it doesn’t work the best with MagSafe. It’s difficult to line up the case on the MagSafe charger and I have already woken up once to a low battery. Works fine with other typical Qi Wireless chargers with careful placement.

Very solid case, well fitting, have great experience with Otter. Must have dropped my iPhone X hundreds of times without damage ...... was a little disappointed in ship time - like 10 days. UPS handed it off to USPS. For the shipping I paid, I would have hoped 2-3 days.

I like how it fit my phone perfect and how I feel like my phone is well protected from anything. I also like how I can easily snap it on and off without any problems. The quality is of great value and it saves my screen from cracking if dropped. I get to have a nice case to cover my phone and keep it well protected. Not up to what I've come to expect of a Defender
Just put this new case on my phone, and my first impressions have left me to wonder how long (or how well) it will protect my phone. I've always had a Otterbox Defender on my phones and have LOVED how much the case raised off the actual phone. This gave me the piece of mind that if it dropped at an angle, neither the screen or camera would face the brunt of the blow. I know that others have disliked this, but the thickness was exactly what drew me to Defenders in the first place.
This new defender barely raises off the front screen and back camera lenses leaving me to question if it will actually protect both vulnerable areas (despite drop rates and what Apple claims about durability). I wish the design had kept up with previous models so that I would feel better about spending as much as this one costs.

I don't know who to blame
This the third "Defender" I have owned. The first did exactly what it was supposed to do, brace for impact. I credit Defender with saving several phones because I drop it a lot. This Defender protects the phone, I still have it wrapped around my phone, but the case leaks over on the screen and causing unattended touches to screen which is very frustration. I have tried everything to resolve this. Apple won't or can't help because the phone operates correctly when not in the case and otterbox says no other users have this complaint. Any suggestion welcome.

Highest quality phone protection there is, very durable and not too bulky a design. The grib on the back and sides helps holding the phone one handed. I was not sure on the plug covers but they keep the plug connection clean of debris and dust.

The perfect low profile case
I have been using this case for about a month after not being happy with a different brand.
I enjoy having a low profile feel but don’t want to compromise durability (eg not panicking when I accidentally drop my phone on a hard surface). Otterbox checks that box big time.
The new iPhone 14 Pro also has large cameras that my previous case was not level with, so when I had my phone set down on a desk, it was resting at an angle and was unbalanced when texting with one hand. This Otterbox case resolved ALL issues I had been having.
Needless to say, this was a major upgrade in my phone case. If you’re looking for a one-and-done choice, this is it.

Not up to previous models
I cannot recall how many Defender cases I have had over the years, but it started with a very early model. I like the Defender because I ride a Harley, and it keeps it in place on my belt, until now. I started with Otterbox the first time I dropped the phone on my bike. I have an iPhone 14 Pro that will not stay put. It takes two clicks to get it fully seated in the holster. That never happened before. Not sure why two, but when I first got it, I only pushed it in the holster until the first click. Later, I watched as the phone bounced off the garage floor (still protects well). It was then I realized I had to press harder and have it click twice to make it secure in the holster. Often the first click will lift the rubber case off the hard plastic, and it only clicks once. I have had many iPhones with Otterbox Defender cases. I even ran into a couple of Otterbox employees whom I asked to take a picture of me and my bike in Glacier National Park. I thought they were weirdly examining my phone until they said they worked for Otterbox. They were riding BMWs, so I let it slide. The case does what I want, protects the phone if/when it gets dropped, but it should not be the one dropping the phone. I do that enough by myself.

Worst case ever made by otter box
It is unfortunate that quality control has slipped. My new 14 pro case/clip don’t jive well at all. Have had both for 9 days and have spent more time looking for or picking up my phone then I have to spare. Luckily I read other reviews and got the # to call, they were apologetic and will ship replacement so I am hoping to say I love their product once again.

Not as expected
Thought it was supposed to have a built in screen protector but apparently the holster with belt clip is the screen protector. Can’t see through it so to me, that’s not a REAL screen protector. I’ll keep it as a backup but I’ve ordered one from another company at less than half the price with equivalent drop protection and it has a REAL screen protector that seals out dust and moisture.

For my iPhone 14 pro and I love it! Been using Otterbox for years. Never had a problem with this phone and my prior two phones which were covered by otterbox

give a great grip and no slip!
These are so sturdy for someone who drops their phone all the time. I highly recommend them. It's the only case I will use b/c I tend to have a weak grip and these help me remedy that.

It's a good case, but ........
I apologize if this is a duplicate post, but I guess I left before I submitted it and when I came back, it wouldn't post. I was limited in my purchases at the store I purchased my phone from. This case is more secure and snugger than the Defender I had for my iphone 7. In the iphone 7 case, my phone could slide a bit around the inside of the case. I wish this case would also protect the lenses since they are so prominent. The clip that holds the phone in the holster is weak. There was no screen protector so I had to buy one made by another vendor. My biggest issue is my phone will not charge with wireless charging with the case on. I went to another cellular store and they confirmed that was the case, even though the package shows it will charge wirelessly.

As great as ever, easier to clean.
First, I've owned 4 Otter Box Cases on four iPhones. This newest one, on an iPhone 14, is thick and strong. It was easy to install with 2 attempts for alignment. This OB seems to come clean easier than previous ones I have had. It has dropped twice from ~4 ft. with no damage.

Case is weak, but CS is weaker
Case is thin and doors are fallible. Charger port door does not last. CS and warranty are a headache. I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes listening to this boring elevator music too long… help! Pick up my call.

Worth every dollar!
Excellent case but I don’t use the clip. I’ve had 2 older iPhones and OtterBox is the safest case to carry this expensive phone in! Defender is awesome! I will always use OtterBox!

Screen protector issue
The case did not work with screen protector. I had to place a plastic piece at each top corner to keep the case from peeling off my screen protector

Low point in case, allows rubbing on camera border
I have had this case for roughly 7 months and had noticed no issues. Recently I took the case off and realized the iPhone’s finish is rubbing off around the camera’s border. The cameras themselves have no noticeable damage which is good.
Upon further inspection of the case it seems there is a low point in the middle which does not give the proper protection to this border

14 Pro Defender Case
This case was a little dissapointing compared to my previous Otter Box cases. I didn't think the case was a well protected.
It also doesn't cover the camera on the i-Phone very well so I was going to get a protective cover for the camera screen but the case will not work with any screens that are not Otter Box and Otter box does not have a screen protector for the camera. Completely my fault for not realizing this before my 30 days were up. If I had I would have returned the case.

iPhone 14 pro Otterbox Defender case
Very sturdy. The suede blue is very attractive.
I’ve always had one on my iPhones it protects the phone and also helps me to grip the phone securely while I’m using it.

Case is sleek, lightweight and easily clips on to the holster/clip that comes with it. Dropped my phone a few times and case has protected it. I would buy it again!

Fall protection
This case works great for fall protection but it let dirt in and grinds way at the bezel which is said to see on a 2 week old phone.

No camera protection
I have had OtterBox defender cases on my phones for well over 10 years. I am clumsy, drop them with unfortunate frequency, and work in a profession where there is a lot of handwashing and liquids in the environment. I have had to replace the rubber case, because it gets stretched out, I have had to replace the plastic enclosure because it has cracked after being dropped, but my phone has always been exquisitely. Well protected. got the new 14 Pro and ordered the case before I ordered the phone. The case is lighter than prior defenders but the reviews suggested it was just as protective. Shocking to find that there is no camera protection, and the 14 pro camera protrudes so much that it is not protected in any way by the case. I emailed and then called otterbox to see what to do about camera protection, and they initially told me to be careful and not drop the kid the phone! But on further pressing, they recommended an alternate case. These cases cost $70-90! OtterBox customer service was lovely and they said I could return that case and get the Fre which has an enclosure for the camera.
The regular defender case seems like it would be great for somebody who would never drop their phone or not worry too much about the camera. The Fre is a disaster; very, very difficult to manually text, and significant glare through the screen protection. But the case encompasses the camera, and does not appear to interfere with picture quality at least that I can tell and I need that kind of protection, unfortunately.

I absolutely love this iPhone 14 Pro Defender Series Pro Case. It fits my phone perfectly. It is strong and resilient without being overly bulky. The clip comes in handy because women's pockets are a joke. Very pleased.

Weak belt clip
The phone case itself is very good, slim and comfortable. However, the belt clip is very weak in terms of gripping the phone. The edges are quite slim and it is very difficult to secure it. My phone has slipped of the belt holster several times without no reason. I have owned previous versions of the defender clip and case and they were awsome. This time I am dissapointed with de quality and engineering of the belt clip.

Lens protector does not fit.
I love Otter Box cases I have used them for years. One disappointment in this cover is that most camera lens protectores one fit with this case cause the opening around the lenses is just a little too small. I could not find a one piece camera lens protector that would work. I had to get the 3 individual camera lens protectors so that they would fit in the case opening.

Happy w/the New OtterBox 14 Pro Defender Series!!
My only complaint is getting the darn thing on! It fits snugly, protects the phone very well. This is as good or maybe better than any other case before it. and I've been buying OtterBox cases since about 2010. I've tried other and there has been no comparison at all. Their competition was a far distant second. This is the case that will save your phone and in doing so save your day! Maybe your week.

Does what it’s supposed to , not for me
Case fits well and OtterBox has never disappointed in terms of protection so I don’t doubt it’s protected. My only complaint is that it’s way bulkier than it looks on the cover . Also the clip is HUGE. I wish the commuter case would come with a smaller clip. The texture of the back of the case makes it really hard to slide it in and out of my pocket and it feels like a brick in my pocket. If you’re looking for a case with just pure protection this is it but I think I would go with a commuter case if you want you’re wanting more movability. Can’t really exchange it since it’s not defective so I’ll just have to wait till a deal comes on for the commuter.

Not nearly as sturdy as the case I had for the iPhone 11. The cover era don’t wrap around the phone far enough so it gets cocked. Disappointed
