This case sucks - would not recommend
Have always used Otterbox but they really disappointed me this time. I work in construction so phone is subject to harsh conditions…needed solid protection. Bought the new case for my 16 Pro Max, and the new phone cover accommodates for the new button on the lower right side of the phone. This leaves the glass exposed and mine broke within two weeks of getting my new phone. Otterbox needs to fully enclose the perimeter of the screen and this case doesn’t do it. After replacing the glass, I replaced the case with an off brand case from Amazon that fully enclosed the screen for half the price. So much money down the drain.

Quite unhappy
You keep asking me to review the product. I haven’t received it. It was supposed to be free with the code on the box I received when I purchased it- you said the code was invalid. So like a dummy, I paid for it. Haven’t received it. And when I tried to contact customer service, I keep being blocked by pop-ups wanting me to sign up.

Not happy with exposed camera side button
Not happy with the side camera button not being covered. It’s exposed along with the phone itself. Other phone cases do cover the side camera button. I’m a big fan of OtterBox. I think the design team should consider covering the side camera button like all the other buttons.

Poor design for the case this time
Poor design this time. The camera cutout should have had some screen protection. As a result, this case breaks or sets up to break screen protection. The lack of any protection for the screen means there is a vulnerable spot where the screen protector is bumped. Anyone with knowledge on tempered glass knows a bump on the edge equates to broken glass.

Major Flaw in case for 16 Pro Max
Major Flaw in the 16 Pro Max case and it cost my wife a glass screen protector. If we didn't have the screen protector on the phone the screen would have cracked. Above the new camera button on the side there is zero protection for the glass screen. If it falls in this area the screen will break, this needs a rubber strip to protect the glass. Very disappointed in this purchase.

Great product, but durability concerns.
I love these holsters and the Defender product. However, this one fell off a shelf I had placed it on, a drop of about three feet, and one of the corners of the holster broke off. Hopefully, it was just a defect. I guess we’ll see. I already have a replacement.

Great accessory, almost mandatory!
It's a great way to prop up your phone for browsing or watching your favorite shows and movies. I have not used it as a belt clip cause I’m larger than average and I’m wide enough without adding accessories, but it fits well in my pocket and adds a layer of protection for my screen or camera. I’m still debating on if I should slice up the holster to allow me to use the camera, but I’m going to leave it alone for now.

Great, but snags on things
OtterBox has always been my go to protection for my iPhone. And it still works perfectly. Only problem with the holder/Cayce is that the phone is now thinner and doesn’t fit as snug. And it tends to catch on things while wearing on my belt. Otherwise it is great.

Free Holster
The case works just fine as an additional layer of protection and to clip the phone onto a belt (or anything else the clip can get around). The kickstand function works pretty well, the phone is secure and remains standing. The kickstand is fairly upright without the ability to “recline” or change angle but that is more personal and subjective. I personally wish you could use the camera with the holster on but can’t because the lenses are covered (again, personal preference). But the holster was free and arrived quickly without any hassle so, personal preferences aside, I’m very happy with the holster. My personal preference items were the only reason I gave it 4 stars versus 5 stars.

Cradle leave much to desire
Initial case is fine if you don’t need the cradle. But if you get the FREE cradle there are two major issue that stand out compare to this case on other phones. 1) The cradle has gaps in the corner holders more than other OtterBox case for other phones. 2) the cradle will trigger the emergency screen whether want it or not, I lost calls when trying to remove the phone from the cradle several times. If the buttons involved in triggering the screen are blocked until the phone is remover from cradle then this would be 5 star like my other phone’s Otterbox cases with cradles.

What I’ve Come to Expect
This holster and case are the gold standard when it comes to premium device protection. It is durable and handles an extreme amount of abuse, whether I am getting in and out of a vehicle multiple times or moving around and being active. The case itself is what you expect from Otterbox high quality built to keep your phone safe, I just wish there was a way to improve on the plug for the charging port, these always seem to break off. My biggest gripe is now you have to send in for the belt clip, I get it not everyone uses them but typically if your buying the defender case it’s for a reason, also the clip fits very loose and rattles I feel it is only a matter of time before my phone begins to fall out of it unfortunately.

Bought the case from the ATT store but they couldn’t sell me the belt clip. They said the company doesn’t ship together and I had to purchase separately. Really! So I did and then the case didn’t fit good. Years ago this company was really good but now I’ll buy from someone else, I’m tired of dealing with those who don’t care.

To holster, or not to holster.
I like to carry my cell phone on my body - either in a suitable clothing pocket (not the back pocket of my pants) or in a holster. I understand OtterBox’s decision to no longer provide a holster with their phone cases - some folks don’t want the holster. But if they do want one they can get a free matching phone holster.
This holster fits my Defender Pro phone case perfectly. The rotating belt clip will accommodate a belt that is up to 1-1/2 inches wide. There is an issue with the belt clip to be aware of, though. With routine flexing at the hips the clip can come off the belt. I usually check for this, especially when exiting my vehicle. But the one time I didn’t check the clip the holster fell to the ground. Fortunately, my phone wasn’t in the holster at that moment. Maybe if the lip at the bottom of the belt clip was a tiny bit longer (maybe 1/32 inch) it would be less susceptible to coming off the belt. Or maybe providing an “on demand” version of the holster with a rotating belt loop instead.
At the end of the day this holster gets 5 stars.

The Otterbox case makes the profile of the iPhone Pro Max that much bigger but it does work well and suits my needs. The snap in holster I received as part of a promotion by Otterbox is exactly what I needed.

If it is offered free as a free accessory as mine was, people should be an offered a choice between it and a screen protector (which should already come with your case but doesn’t).
A screen protector would have been a more useful accessory for me.

Phone dropped out of it while working and cracked screen protector, not sure the reason why? It seems to be sturdy, I will keep using it unless find out later it was to do with the holster. I have been using Otterbox case and holster for at least 10 years.

Cover is great for protecting screen on front of iPad especially while traveling. If it had opening for camera would help when you place cover on back when using phone and want to take pictures instead of having to remove cover by choosing to keep everything together. Like being able to use as a stand.

iPhone 16 pro max case and holster
The holster is fine. The case would be 5 stars if it covered the camera button on the iPhone 16. I have already dinged up that area on my phone because there is no protection. I didn’t realize when I bought the case that it did not cover that area of the phone. Just really poor design where the camera button is. 1 star on the case. Would be 5 stars if it protected 100% of the phone, but with 5% unprotected might as well not have a case at all in my opinion. Don’t understand how current case design made it to market.

Defender seems better with every new phone I get. iPhone 16 pro max now has great protection and peace of mind. I’ve never damaged a phone that was housed in an Otterbox Defender. The outer shell has just the right amount of hardness. Not too stretchy and not too hard. Plus accommodates the MagSafe charging/holding system now.

I just bought the new IPhone 16 pro max and needed a good case and holster with a belt clip to go along with the defender series case. The day I bought the case they were includeing the holster for free. If I had to pay for it I would have given it one star. It fits the phone case horrible. It looks like it was designed or made wrong. The last case I bought was for the Samsung Galaxy S22 plus it came with the holster and it was a matched set the holster fit the case perfectly. This fits so bad I'm afraid the phone is going to fall out of it when I'm outside working I won't notice right away and I'll lose my phone. Sloppy fitting case. I now understand why it was free and came in a plastic bag not a package with some kind of paperwork.

I’ve been using OtterBox since the blackberry days and these products have always been great. Recently my wife and I upgraded our iPhones and got the iPhone 16 Max Pro and while we were there, I picked up the defender case. I found out that at the time of my purchase that I could only get the case and had to scan a code to receive a “free” holster. 2 weeks later the holster came in but it doesn’t fit properly which blows my mind. Hopefully OtterBox will actually review my….review and reach out to me. I still love OtterBox products but the holster sucks and I’ve already cracked my camera protector.

It’s great for what it does. However, the holster and case used to be one unit, not 2. The people at OtterBox failed to tell me that if I bought a case I could get a free holster so I ended up buying my holster separately. Several times I have jumped down from a two foot high platform and the phone comes out and hits the ground.

Holster seems generic in its ability to accept thicker phone cases. Not a snug fit regarding the thickness of the case this holster was provided with/for (iPhone 16 Pro Max Defender Series Pro for MagSafe Case). With the holster in the horizontal position, the lower right hook of the holster protrudes over a quarter inch above the installed phone in case thus catching on everything.

The belt holster doesn’t fit the phone snugly. It is bigger than the phone and otterbox cover so it’s not a secure fit. Phone has fallen out of the holster. Does not fit like others I have had from otter box.

Decreases in production, increased cost
Like other reviewers, I have purchased many Otterbox cases and holsters to protect cellphones and watches, replacing them due to age. Previous Otterbox cases and holsters protected my property from damage, even when the Otterbox product took a beating. As the attached photos confirm, Otterbox literally cut corners in the production of these cases. Not only is the thickness of the plastic diminished, giving the holster a lot of flex compared to previous models, the ends that cradle the phone extend less far less around the case. I do not have confidence this holster will securely contain my phone with Otterbox case, if I were to wear it on my belt as I previously did with others holsters and cases.

Unexpected change in design.
I’m not to big of a fan this year of the holster, don’t get me wrong it works. I just don’t like the fact that ithe phone is only held in place by the tooth that snaps into the side of the phone case. I feel like the tooth of the holster or plastic sides of the phone case won’t last long. I was hoping for security like prior holsters where the phone is sitting snug in the holster including walls the wrap around the phone to actually touch the phone.
I was told this was designed so that the phone can also be placed wheee the screen is showing. I mean that’s cool & all but I think the majority wear it with the cameras are facing out & not the phone screen.
Thankfully it’s covered in warranty if the tooth or case wears out quickly.
I love OtterBox & I’ve always used them and will continue to do so. Just wasn’t to fond of the holster this year.

The cut out for camera button on side exposes edge of screen to damage. Screen protector cracked after third day because I bumped edge because it is exposed. I have used otter boxes since I phones came out now I am looking for something else.

Good, but loose fit
I use the OtterBox Defender series cases on every phone I get due to my work environment. I constantly drop my phone while on duty and the case protects my device. The holster is a must have for me and I’m disappointed they no longer come with the case at purchase. I waited a week for the IPhone 16 pro max holster to become available when the device first launched. After order and arrival, the holster works, but there is a lot of wiggle room causing the hold to be weak. When I attach the phone to the holster, the phone can rock back and forth and sometimes comes loose. I had to attach foam inside the edges of the holster to remove the free space to securely hold the phone in place.

Still the Reigning Champ in cell phone cases!
I have relied on OtterBox for several iterations of cell phone cases over the years, and OtterBox was the first name I turned to when looking for protection for my new phone. The thing that impressed me is that this case is even lighter than my previous cases, but afforded the same level of protection. I like the fact that OtterBox offered a free holster clip with purchase, because I am one of those that like to have it clipped on my waist! The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of the full 5, is that I would like for there to be more protection for the camera control on the side of the case. I don't like for that button to be out and in the open exposed to the elements.

Secure but loose fit
It hold the phone securely in the holster but not snugly, the phone wobbles in the holster because the corners are too high on the holster. They attempted to put little pieces of plastic in some corners to decrease the gap but they fall short of whats needed.

Doesn’t keep the phone locked into the holster clip. 3 have broke so far and the last time my phone fell out of the holster, it damaged the back of my phone. Had the have camera and entire backing replaced on my phone. The holsters use to lock the phones in a lot better. Shouldn’t have changed the design.

A Hit But Not A Home Run
I cannot do without a holster style carrier for my cellphone and this is without a doubt a holster. Unfortunately this version seems to be a modified design made to accept the thinner Otterbox Defender phone case for my iPhone 16 ProMax.
The bottom track is wider and the top clip tighter. When loading the phone the seating in the wider portion is clumsy and I have to fiddle with the device before the top clip aligns properly. Even when “engaged” it is not and the phone has fallen out several times and hit the ground hard. I have to give a solid push near the connecting point to make sure that the clip closes properly. This NEVER happened with the wider case/holder combos for my iPhone Pro Max 6 or 11.

Defender iPhone 16 ProMax
Purchased the defender for my phone as I have never been let down from my previous defender series cases. So far I have no complaints other than you now have to redeem a mail in coupon to receive the holster. This is a bit of a hassle. I highly recommend getting the holster. The retail price hasn’t seemed to reflect the fact that the holster is not “technically” included. So be sure to get the holster. You’re paying for it!
All in all the quality of the otterbox is as good as always. And now the defender for the 16 does actually have the magcharge cases so you wirelessly charge the phone. My last case (12 promax) did not really accept the charging ability. Go get this case for your iPhone 16 promax. You won’t be disappointed!

The phone clip will not hold the I-phone securely in the clip. It will pop out the clip with slightest motion while clip is on your belt. If you are not careful and watching when the phone pops out of the clip you could lose your phone. After having the phone pop out several times and having to retrace my steps and find new I-phone 16. I am very disappointed with case, screen, and phone clip.

Not as happy as I have been in the past
I have been an otter box owner from the first day of the first defender and have put them to the test and they have proven on many occasions to Defend my device as expected. Until now I was 100% satisfied. The belt clip holds my phone, sure but it’s like having a pair of shoes that are 2 sizes too big. My phone is swimming in the clip and not providing the snug hold that I had grown to trust.

Why did I have to PURCHASE this for my protector??
I certainly like the holster BUT I find it very frustrating that I had to buy it after I upgraded my iPhone to 16 and bought a new OtterBox protector for it. The Verizon store did not have any holsters and told me that they were no longer provided when one bought the protector (as I had done for numerous prior iPhones.

Holsters fine, the otter box case itself SUCKS. It’s only been about 3 weeks, and the cover where it gets plugged in is already starting to tear off. But the holster works great. So when I throw away this cheaply built case, I will still have a nice holster. The holster was free, but the case itself, I spent WAT TOO MUCH MONEY on. I would not recommend this case. 2 years ago when I bought the Otterbox case for my old phone(same one, just the newer series), the Otterbox case was great. Now I think that you get better quality, from anyone on ebay

I've had Defender holsters for several years. They always used to come with a free holster which was included with the case. I don't like the fact that the newest Defender cases do not come with holsters. Otterbox does offer a free holster with the Defender case but you have to have the new Defender case in your possession at which point there is a code inside the packaging that lets you order a holster for free. It would have been much simpler to just be able to order the holster at the same time I ordered the case so they would arrive at the same time. To get a free holster, the process goes like this: I ordered the Defender case online and then had to wait for it to arrive at my home and then I had to open the packaging to get the free redemption code for the holster and then order the free holster and then wait several more days for the holster to arrive. Why not just give the option to order the holster at the same time that the case is ordered...would have been much easier and taken less time.

I bought the Defender pro model Otterbox with expectations of the entire package coming with a screen protector as well as the belt clip all in a single package as my previous Defender cases for older models. I learned the screen protector has to be purchased individually, and you have to scan a qr code and order the belt clip.
Overall, I like the Defender pro, but not the complete package it was for former model IPhones.

If you don't mind your phone constantly falling out of the holster, buy this item. If you want your phone to be securely held in place, buy something else. The holster came separately and appears to be some type of universal holster that may be intended for use with multiple cases. Approximately 3/4 of the time I exit a vehicle, I find my phone on the seat, the floor, or the ground. Luckily, it hasn't been broken yet but I expect one of these events to cause damage before long. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

Terrible. I'm writing to express my disappointment with the phone clip. Unfortunately, it seems to break easily and the overall construction feels flimsy.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and provide a possible solution.

Fits my new iPhone perfectly, but I’m on my third or fourth one. Now, I should say that I’m not the smallest of gentlemen, but I’m also not the biggest. And with that being said, I have broken this case a few times already, just getting out of my car. It keep getting caught on my seatbelt buckle. As careful as I am, this thing just hooks it at the right angle and snaps it. Also, the clip on top that holds the phone in place, seems like it wears out after some heavy use. First one was free, so no complaints there; and they are reasonably priced, so I’ve learned to order 2 each time so I have one while I wait for the next one. Maybe make them a little tougher, I’ll keep buying them either way, great job!

OTTERLY CONFUSED - 4 Stars
The Otter Box has Saved many of my phones from Damage.
I Recently purchased a New I-Phone 16+ and found the Otter Box Very Hard to Find in the Stores. Out of Desperation, I purchased the Pelican for a couple days, I returned it. (JUNK)
I Finally ordered an Otter On-line, only to find Very Few Colors.
I opted for the Purpleish because of Lack of Choice.
I almost Died when the Otter Box didn't come with the Clip. Fortunately, they had a FreeClip Program. It's Another Step I could have Done Without.
Now that I have the Phone Clip in my possession I find that if Requires a Double Click or it will go Flying on the Ground or Perhaps get Lost if I Don't Hear or See it
In Conclusion:
It's Good but it doesn't Seem as Good as it Used to Be.
So I Rate it 4 of 5 Stars

Every single OtterBox that I’ve had in the past is perfect the case they’re amazing is not good. It breaks at the spring and don’t drop the clip, it will break off side walls poking out.

Two issues.
The phone comes off the holder too easy. I feel like my phone is going to just fall off the holder. It should have more holding power. Also, the charging port cover always breaks off after a few months. It’s a decent product besides those two issues.

Redesign Issue
New Apple 16 Pro has the side button which there is no hard plastic around that area. While trying to get phone back in OuterBox carrier, dropped the phone. The protective glass shield has broken/cracked twice now. Need to redesign the hard plastic to extend around that side button.

Sturdy and holds well, the stand works good for a sideways position. But the upright is very lacking it does not open enough to stand the phone at a useable angle.

Great case very bad customer service
When I buy a Defender Case I expect a holster. 20 years it has saved dozens of personal and work phones. At the time of buying the case it’s obvious I need the two pieces together because it’s when I start using THEM not just the case. Honestly it’s the main reason I started buying the PAIR 20 years ago. On the job it’s essential to keep up with your phone at all times. Not only for quick easy access but to keep the phone from being left at a job or elsewhere. Going back to hope you find your phone is no fun and can be a very long trip.
I give the holster the usual A score. I give Otterbox a D for not providing for my needs when needed. Needed when I walk out of the store NOT a week later in the mail. Free or not. The price of the case is already a premium price and a two dollar case is expected. I am super disappointed in this business decision based on lack of customer support from the beginning of the purchase. You need it when you need it not a week or more. I have been a loyal customer and the cases and holsters are top quality but I think is just a greedy and selfish move from Otterbox. Give us the tools we need when we need them. My next case is now questionable. The greed just is a little two much for me to want to support the company.

It's not as easy to put phone in and know it's secured. My phone has dropped out a few times and does not snap in as easy or straight. I've always had Otterbox with phone clip with other phones and never had issues like this.

Disappointed in the case for iPhone 16 Pro Max
I’ve only used OtterBox cases since I started buying smart phones. Bought a new iPhone about 3 weeks ago and also a new OtterBox case. Unfortunately the notch/cut in the case near the action button on the lower right side of the case exposes the top edge of the phone and screen protector. I replaced my 1st screen protector on Fri April 4th, and just cracked the 2nd screen protector 4 days later. Both cracks originate from the area that is exposed by the action button. Not sure why the action button can’t be protected like the other buttons. That’s the only flaw in this particular cases design. Other than that, I think OtterBox cases are the best cases out there. Unfortunately I am replacing my current case with a different brand that offers protection on the entire phone.

I have loved all of my Defender cases and holsters for a variety of phone over the last 10+ years. I must admit I think this holster is just so-so. You have to really push it in to lock in the phone into the holster and have the holster fully engage. There are multiple times I think have locked in the phone, only to have it pop out and fall down. Sometimes when pushing it in, it takes 2 clicks.

It’s okay, not great… the bottom is very loose. The two parts that are curved up to hold the phone are very wide and don’t hold the phone tight to the holster.

Well, OtterBox keeps hounding me to leave a review for the iPhone 16 pro max case I just bought. I have trusted OtterBox on all my iPhones and I buy one every year. Hands down the best cases made in my opinion. This new iPhone 16 case has me wondering how the rubber will hold up at the new side notch. So, my rating is a little early. Good as those purchased in the past. But an annoying thing happened when purchasing the Otter Box for my phone. It came without the belt clip! All I have purchased in the past had a clip. Packaging included a way to order online for free. It was smooth, but an unnecessary extra step.

Trouble with down swipe
This isn’t my first otter box and up to now I’ve never had an issue with one. With my new iPhone 16 Pro MAX, after putting the phone in the Otter Box, swiping down to open notifications no longer worked. Am I the only one having this problem? Not sure if this an iPhone issue or an Otter Box issue. I’ve implemented a temporary workaround and activating a double “back tap” for notifications is working but not as easy as a conventional down swipe.

iPhone 16 Max + Defender case is a must have!
The new iPhone case has been designed perfectly to fit the functionality of the iPhone 16 pro max. The holster however, requires an upgrade since they tend to break when they are caught on something. Exiting a vehicle is one of the biggest issues when worn on the left side. The case gets caught by either the seatbelt, or the material on the seat itself. A carbon fibre holster may increase the strength a little preventing this issue

I’ve had OtterBox since the first iPhone, and had protected my phone ever since. I did have a hard shell break once but the phone remained perfect. The exposed camera button on the 16 gives me reservations though. If I was not retired I would probably search for a case with total coverage. I find myself in constant careful mode for the first time.

Poor Design Causing Phone Accessory Damage
The Otterbox Defender Series has consistently been a reliable product over the years. However, the design for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is problematic. The holster's clip connection to the case has caused my screen protector to crack, which I believe stems from a lack of support around the camera button. This area should be fully enclosed to provide stability and prevent damage to the screen protector. I would like Otterbox to replace my screen protector, as this issue appears to be the result of a design flaw.

Defective MagSafe charge pad and customer service
Tried the MagSafe charger for the first time. Seemed to heat up quickly and heat my new phone and new OtterBox phone case. Both the MagSafe charger and Case ordered through the Otterbox website. My phone would get so hot while charging that the phone gave a notice that it would continue charging once the device cooled down. Charging with MagSafe was also extremely slow. Whenever I switched to wired charging, the process was super quick and nothing got warm or hot. The first customer service rep from OtterBox was really great! Sent out a warranty replacement item, waived shipping and got approval for extending return policy days with option for refund if the second MagSafe was not up to par. My delivery was missing (or stolen) so I contacted FedEx who said they would contact OtterBox who would then contact me about a new item or refund. I contacted OtterBox (they did not reached out to me) to inform them of what happened. They said they would file a warranty claim again but I would need to pay for S&H. I asked for a refund instead. They denied my request basing the policy on the first defective device going past the policy date and would not apply the curtesy given for the lost replacement item. So I have to pay for the poor service of their choice of shipping company who didn’t deliver to me. If I could give zero stars based on the defective item and the light shipping packaging they use to ship across the border (items always arrive crushed as they are shipped in soft cardboard mailer) and the second customer service rep, I would!! I paid for a device that damages my phone, is slow to charge and is too hot to handle, and am expected to pay fees for a replacement item after the original replacement item was lost by their shipper. Please give me a refund, OtterBox! Make this right!!!!

Very poor design. Does not hold the phone securely. The face of the phone faces the ribs on the holster and has very little clearance thus putting the screen at risk. I have read many comments on screens getting broken due to this. I filed them off. Phone is still not real secure but I do not worry about the screen getting broken.

I can’t believe I’m so dedicated to making sure this review is exact and succinct. This case is an underdog and WILL HOLD THAT (censored for profanity) PHONE! I work as a server, but also do regular banquet work. This phone holster has been in the trenches! It’s been knocked up against multiple walls, corners, columns, and tables edges. When the phone is properly secured, it’s NOT COMING OUT! The holster material is extremely durable; not a single scratch or crack in sight. The clip that doubles as a stand is a benefit I found excessive, but now use all the time. I was prepared for a garbage product and was delightfully proven wrong! This a great phone holster, pure and simple. And here I am, no longer being succinct.

holster too big for the iphone case
Service call was addressed promptly- new holster sent but the design of the holster is dissapointing. It is too deep for the phone case. The ends are sticking is space and catching clothing and other objects. It seems designed for much thicker phone case. I have had at least 5 other Otter cases and holsters and they had much much better fit than what I got for iPhone 16ProMax defender case. I am not sure if customer service checked the pictures I sent, but they clearly show that the phone case does not fit the holster properly. I got the same replacement as the original. I am disappointed and my issue is not resolved. Not sure if I should send my request again. I got the holster, but I still believe it is not the right model, not the Otter quality I am used to.

Love Otterbox and their products
I work in a metal foundry and also do some trail riding in our jeep and having a holster on my phone is a life saver. I have always carried an otter box since my phone fell out of my jeep and my phone was saved from any damage.

As a Tradesperson, I prefer the holster/belt clip vs putting the device in my pocket. I have used a OtterBox Defender Series with holster for many generations of iphones and this product is well made and robust. I highly recommend this product.

Has a glitch.
Went With Otterbox for all of my phones due to the rugged design that protects the phone, but the on-hip carrier for this years Iphone 16 ProMax has a few flaws that need to be addressed. Specifically, it seems to be tight which places pressure on the case components at the side of the case wearing the case at that location.

Case is great, but the holster seems to be a one size fits more than one. Phone and case seem to be too thin for holster. It does hold it, but can move around in holster. Also took over a week to get holster in mail. It would be nice to get it with case at purchase - carrying your phone in your hand with you everywhere go is a pain.

Items sent to me from Otterbox do NOT properly hold an IPhone 16 Pro Max with Defender case. Don't know if they were tagged wrong when stocking, but the bottom parts are too wide to hold my phone with the Defender case as snugly as it should. The belt clip from my 13 Pro Max works perfectly and holds the phone as it should.

The phone is not held as securely and is allowed to move around when it is “ in the clip”. The clip unit appears to be made for a phone that is thicker than the IPhone 16 Pro. While it works, it could be made to work better in my opinion.

Case holster
This is a great addition to the Defender case. It is very strong and holds the phone securely. It gives added protection in drops, and gives more protection to an already well-protected phone. I am so glad this was made available to obtain for my phone!

Disappointed
Does not fit correctly. Fits loosely risking the phone falling out and losing it. Not what they used to be. Bought another case and holster off Amazon for a fraction of the price and fit way better than this. I had otterbox case and holster on my old iPhone 11 Pro Max. Fit perfectly and never once had a problem with it. I’m guessing companies now manufacture products to fail to keep driving profits.

Bad design for the camera button surround.
First Otterbox that I didn’t like. The cutout for the camera button is severe and annoying. Half the blame goes to Apple for its stupid phone design, but other cases don’t have such a severe difference in profile where that button is. Also the rubber on the back of the phone already separates behind that camera button. As it ages, I’m sure it’ll be sagging in an annoying fashion.

I bought the OtterBox Defender Pro case for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max, and I appreciate that OtterBox mailed me a holster at no extra cost! Thank you! For those who wear a belt and a tucked-in shirt, the holster is certainly handy to keeps one's phone accessible for calls. But with the camera lenses covered, I'm afraid I'll miss a lot of impromptu photos as I struggle to get my iPhone out of the holster (without dropping it). Perhaps I'll get faster with practice... but I wonder if OtterBox might make a holster that hangs around the neck (with a wide, comfortable strap), with the camera lenses uncovered, bouncing lens-down against the belly. I used a case like that on a tourist trip, and all I had to do was flip the secured cell phone upright, position it and shoot, without worrying that I would drop it. My phone survived the trip, and I got lots of quick-response photos! I would pay OtterBox for a case like that!

Holster doesn't fit properly on iPhone 16 Pro Max
Long time user of Otterbox cases for iphones. I typically do not use the Otterbox holster but decided to request it for times when I am working outdoors. The holster does not fit the case / iphone. The holster is noticably larger in depth than the phone and even the slightest bump on something and the phone is falling out. Otterbox cases are still great but this holster is a huge disappointment.

Don’t like the hole for the camera button
Love everything about my otter ox except the “dent” in the right side for the camera button. Don’t see why it’s necessary and it’s really annoying.

It used to be the best, now it’s just….eh.
The quality is good. The clasp doesn’t always latch securely. It clicks but needs to click twice. I was a huge fan, however, not so much now. I didn’t appreciate the fat it didn’t come with the original purchase. It did come within 5 days and the process was quite easy and it was free.

Utter box IPhone 16 max
It doesn’t really fit in the case all that great after a few times of taking it out and putting back in it tore the soft case at the notch that locks it in. So now the soft case needs replaced

Dumbest case I’ve ever had made by you. The cutaway for the camera button is a fatal flaw. I’ve dropped my new phone 3 times accidentally while housed in your “protection” being a defender series doesn’t even matter at this point because every time, it busted my screen protector. That exposed edge does not transfer the continuity provided to the other corners and edges. After the third time, I said I’m going to buy a case that doesn’t suck. Sorry otterbox you missed the mark and we’re all dissappointed
