Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second and it won't be my last I'm clumsy and my pockets are full of lint that gums up the ports on my phone. I'm the perfect candidate for a Otterbox. It was first suggested to me by a friend who's a carpenter, an occupation awash in sawdust. The protective port covers seal tightly and keep the ports completely free of debris. Throw in that Otterbox has the best drop protection available and it is the ideal case. I couldn't be happier. I can't imagine ever owning a phone without an Otterbox protective case. Ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expanding silicone a major problem Previous OtterBox have worked great but these start to stretch and separate and my blue outer shell all but falls off my phone now. It doesn't even hold on one side anymore. See pic for how far it's stretched since purchase. Which was less than a year ago.

Every time I picked up the phone, I was afraid I would drop it. My husband purchased a new Otter Box cover for me and it works perfectly!

I bought another Defender case for my newest Pixel without hesitation, as these cases allow me to drop or throw my phone without any damage. However, I like to have a colorful phone case so it doesn't blend in with the bottom of dark pockets or bags. I wish that Otterbox would continue offering fun and bright colors - I would love to walk the line of amazing phone protection while not having a boring, ugly case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defender Series OtterBox Defender cases are the only ones I ever recommend. Others slip off your leg or the couch. Others break or allow moisture in. And others are less attractive. The style, features, colors and non-slip material are the best around, IMHO.

I love the OtterBox Defender for my Google Pixel 6 Pro but the only inconvenient is that with both Pixel Stand (Gen. 1 and 2 the phone with the case will always ask to be realigned. And with the Pixel Stand Gen. 2 it refuse to charge at full capacity because of that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple overlooked design flaw makes this worthless I use my phone with my right hand and attach the belt clip to my right side. If anyone at Otterbox had actually used this product they would INSTANTLY discover how cumbersome this is to use. Because the notch that secures the phone to the clip is not in the center the phone can only be secured into the belt clip one way. If you're holding the phone in your right hand and your clip is on your belt, the notches will not line up unless rotate the phone 180 degrees (By either using a second hand, or risk twirling it in your hand or, you can rotate the clip on your belt so it's upside-down. But now the phone has to be lowered below the waist and be brought back up into the clip, which is not intuitive, fights against gravity, and almost always requires 2 hands AND my vision to be able to perform successfully. Not only this, when the clip is in said upside-down position, 2 hands are required to remove it from the clip. I've used defender series cases since my LG G2 from 2013, Pixel from 2016, Pixel 3a from 2019, and now this Pixel 6. If anyone at Otterbox used this product just one single time, they would have noticed this problem instantly. I can't believe how much money I spent to receive something nearly unusable. If you don't mind using 2 hands to free and/or secure your phone this case will work fine for you. I use my phone constantly for work, and using 2 hands to grab and secure my phone is very disrupting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A regular frustration I've relied on otterbox through several generations of devices, and this is the first time I've found a regularly frustrating issue. Because the buttons on the phone are too close to the center, the notch that holds the phone in the holster had to be moved down. This means that it's not centered and the phone only goes into the holster one way. Depending on which hand is dominant and how you learned to put the phone in the holster, it won't go in anymore. Most people (I think? eventually learn the the phone is easier to put into the holster upside down and if you're right handed, it doesn't go into the holster upside down, so you actually have to flip your phone over every time you go to put it into the holster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swing and Miss I have had otter box defender cases on all of my phones. This isn't a good case it's still a clam style by having two halves. But there is no screen protector, nor does it protect the camera. I was let down with one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case is A+... Holster is not The case itself is A+ and the quality I would expect from Otterbox but... The holster is frustrating! I understand the latch had to be moved down (or up to accommodate the Pixel 6 buttons being in the way, but the holster was designed backwards! This is a plus if you are a lefty, but the majority of USA are righties!! The holster is extremely awkward to use. If you have this on your right side and use your right hand, either the phone is upside down when it comes out of the holster or you have to use 2 hands. I have used Otterboxes for almost all my phones, and this is the first time I have had an issue with them.. and it looks like quite a few other people feel the same way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still making great gear! I've been a OtterBox fan for about 5 years. I've used them for 1 of my HTC's, 1 LG's and now my 1st Google Pixel 6. OtterBox is always the leader in innovation of everything from iPhones to Android. I'm a disabled veteran, spending lots of time in VA facilities. I have the Defender clip holder attached to my mobility scooter, so I can see it as I go from appointment to Appointment. Once, my phone fell out of hand (From about 4 feet) and came out of the fall unaffected. The only thing I would like to see improved on is the clip that holds the Defender and holster together. I'm able to keep my Pixel 6 visible while clipped to my scooter so I don't miss calls. Oh, maybe adding defender holsters to accessories. I'd like to have an extra just in case. Defender is a great product.

I feel my phone is safe and have no complaints about the protection. My one complaint is that the material the case is made out of isn't as grippy as my previous Otterboxes making it more difficult to hold my phone without it slipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case Separation I've received two of these cases and both have the same problem. The rubber top separates from the main case around the phone leaving a gap where dust and debris can collect. Terrible flaw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will protect your phone. Bought this case about a year ago. It has survived all drops, and I work in construction. Highest drop was ~1 meter onto concrete. No issues with the hard shell as it has held up fine so far. Clip case works fine, it's just awkward. However, about two months after receiving, the top right corner of the soft shell started to get loose. There is now a 1/8th inch gap at just the corner. Overall it feels like the soft case is a bit too big for the hard shell. I can pinch the back of the soft case lightly and it lifts the bottom of the camera area about 1/4 inch off the hard shell. Expect to remove the case every month (depending on dust exposure) to clean it out. I never use the clip base. Its awkward. If they did corners instead of sides, that would have been a game changer in this area, but as it is, it feels like it's for left handed people. The only part that's started to fall apart is the soft shell charge port protector. After about a year of use, the flap has started to break down, the hinged area. So, soon it will just fall off. And after a year, assuming I plug it in every night, and sometimes plug it into my car stereo, that's less than 1000 uses in a year.
