Wouldn't be without one
Have the Otterbox defender. It's saved my phone from certain destruction four or five times. But I dropped it with the belt clip...and the belt clip broke. Glad to have another belt clip...I got real tired of carrying my phone in my pocket.
I will not buy a phone without getting the Otterbox Defender. I BELIEVE in the Defender. Phones are so dang expensive...the Defender is the cheapest insurance I can think of.

Pays for itself
Gives you more grip so phones don't slide out of your hand or off of surfaces. Makes the phone feel more substantial. Absorbs energy when phone does fall. Use this and if you do drop your phone, nothing happens. Don't use anything out use something else, drop your phone, you'll be replacing or repairing it. Been on both sides, this is the only reasonable way to go.

Like my Phone close at hand
This Otter Box holster is my third one. I wear it every day. My only problem is they're fairly brittle so parts break pretty easily when they drop. The one feature I just recently started using is the "easel" when you put the clip out and you can rest the phone in a position easy to view hands-free. Thanks Otter Box.

Great product - works to really protect my phone
I have had an Otter box for many years with my previous phone. I subject my phone to rough use (cross country horse riding, and the box always protects the integrity of my phone. After many yeas, the hone itself is pristine (not so much the Otter box!). The new box is equally rugged.

I bought this clip because I can’t keep my phone in my pocket while I’m cooking (I’ma chef). It’s wonderful for being able to hear the ring, feel the vibration and I’m not worried about it not being able to stand up to the abuse a chef can put electronics through.

Excellent Protection!
I really like the protection this case offers. It is very durable. I also like the non-slip finish. My phone slid all over the place before I got the case. Now is rests securely. I also like the screen protector that came with the case. I did not realize I would get this screen protector. The only thing I dislike is that the buttons are very hard to press. Maybe over time, they will get easier, but I am not sure.

Satisfactory purchase
Just purchased this otter box for new phone. This is my second otter box. The first lasted seven years with no problems. The new otter box doesn’t seem to be the same. A little thinner perhaps. The little flap that lifts so you can plug in phone is definitely not going to last. It’s flimsy and I can see it eventually snapping off. Too soon to know how it will hold up. Looks great. Happy with colors. Time will tell regarding the quality.

The ONLY safe case!
I have owned an otter box several years back. When I bought my new phone last year, I chose another type of cover to make it less bulky, but I literally paid a price for that vain decision! Recently, I noticed my screen saver was cracked and when I took it to be repaired, we found the back of the phone SHATTERED! After paying over $60 to repair
my phone, I decided never again and bought this Defender. So happy with it and relieved to know my phone is truly protected!

So worth the money
I’m on my third otterbox, but only because I get a new case every time I get a new phone. I’m so hard on my phones. I drop my them regularly; on concrete, down the wooden stairs, launching it if I’m running and trip. I’ve accidentally thrown it in the washing machine with my clothes and it was 5 minutes before I realized what I did. I’ve even had my phone break my fall, on the corner. The Otter Box saved my phone each time. Without Otter box I’m sure I would be on my 17th iPhone and not my third. Worth every penny. Thanks Otter Box!

Love it so much bought another one
I purchased one for myself, i have been an otter box fan for several years now, but i mostly bought black, i can’t tell you how many times i have dropped my phone and this case saved it. Recently my daughter dropped her phone she had a glass shield on it and yes that broke, so I told her to go to the website and pic a defender case, she picked the same color as i a teal blue and i bought her that one as well. You just cant beat an otter box, when it comes to safety for your phone and they have such nice colors too.

Pretty Good Case
I bought this case for my 11 yr old son who was gifted his first iphone. He was the one that actual suggested that we get an Otterbox for him. I like that it offers drop protection. The case is not slippery in the hand - it provides some grip. I did have to watch a youtube video to figure out how to open the case. I hope that one change would be a glass screen protector instead of the plastic one that comes with it. The plastic works fine.

Money saving, stress free phone case!
This my second Otterbox purchase, and once again, I'm really happy with my case's great quality. Before getting this case I was replacing my phone screen every other month due to cracks and scratches. But not any more!
I've literally dropped my phone down flights of stairs, off a rockface, into the surf on a beach multiple times, and always: no damage!
While Otterbox don't make any claims about the case being waterproof, in my experience, it keeps out enough water so that if you drop it in something wet, in the time it takes to notice, scream, panic and finally fish it out, there is no damage,(but you might want to take off the case and dab round with a tissue to be sure.)
About taking off the case - I've read a couple of reviews complaining that the case is hard to take off- and it will be if you try with your fingernails. All you need is a small coin or blunt knife to lever the tabs round the edges, and you can have the case off in a few seconds. Not that you will need to do that very often.
To sum up- I love my Otterbox case, it gives me confidence to live my life to the full, knowing that my trusty phone will always be safe!

A bit expensive but worth it
I’ve had the phone and Otter box cover for about a month now and have had no problems. I find there products expensive up front but well worth the investment for protecting the phone. The Otter cover I had on my 1st iPhone kept the phone working and like new for 5 years. I expect this one to work just the same.

Excellent case
I’ve had the case for a month now and have to say how delighted I am with it. I broke my old phone when it fell off the garden table onto the patio. I previously had a wallet case which was open at the time so it totally smashed the screen. So, after a lot of research I eventually ordered the OtterBox defender. I am so thrilled with it. It’s really comfortable to use and feels solid. My husband originally wanted me to buy a wallet case again but after delivery of the defender, even he is taken with it. I would definitely recommend it.

I have defender cases for all of my Apple products and they are all safe from my clutzy ways. I have dropped, kicked, left in the rain, sat on, dropped a few more times and not a scratch. Do cracks, no dents, no damage. love these cases and while I wish they came in cuter colors or themes, they are the best protection.

The only protection I will use for my I-phone
I have used an Otter Box for many years and have dropped my phone, had water spill on it, etc., and my phone stayed in perfect condition because of the Otter Box. I bought a new iphone and the otter box wasn't available at that time so I bought a different case with a plastic film for the phone; my screen didn't break but I didn't like it as much as I like the Otter Box. It is the only case I will use to protect my iphone !

Great overall protection, including plug ports.
Bought the Defender Series Case for it's high-level of shock, water, dust/dirt protection that included a power-plug protector flap. Well-designed and fits my phone like a glove. The case is new and and stiff particularly at the left-side volume up/down buttons making it difficult to press when changing volume. Hopefully, the plastic on the side will soften a bit with time.

As always super protection, great new color.
Four years ago when I bought my first iPhone, some friends strongly urged me to invest in an OtterBox Defender case. I did, and I was never so thankful for a recommendation. So when I upgraded recently there was no question in my mind that a new Defender would be part of the package. I've owned it two weeks now, and I have already dropped my phone once with no damage to either the phone or the case. I also love the fresh new color.

Love the colour, and the grippyness of the rubber outer case. Easy to fit. Bought as an alternative to lifeproof, as I preferred the colour. Very robust. Screen looks good through the cover, no problems with Touch ID.

The case protects my new iPhone SE well. I love the color Big Sur (teal. My only regret is that since the new SE moved the apple logo on the back to the middle, it doesn't match the window on the case. But it is minor.

This is my third Otterbox. The first one kept my iPhone pristine for 4 years whilst working on a building site. The second I bought for about £20.00 from an Amazon seller lasted 2 months before a hole appeared over the home button. The third one I have had for about a month is working as I expected it seems better quality than the second one it was however more than twice the price but if it lasts as long as my original case I will be more than happy. In my opinion the cheaper case was a poor quality copy.

Defender series IPhone 7
I have used Otter box... defender series for about ten years. I actually left my phone on the bumper of my truck accidentally... I watched it fall off ... ( in my rear view mirror) to watch it get run over , by a semi ! The Otter box did defend my phone. The screen was broke ... but the phone still worked. GREAT PRODUCT!

I like Defender Series
I had purchased a Defender 4 years ago for my iPhone 6S and it worked well. Just bought another for my new iPhone SE2, so I'm expecting it to be great as well. Only thing is that it's really an iPhone 7/8 case so the Apple Logo in the middle of the SE2 no longer shows in the window. No big deal though.

Thilrd defender box for me! The best solution.
I am a happy user of the defender series, first for my Blackberry Z10, then for my iPad and now for my iPhone8. I love this solution. I am alot outside with my dogs; lots of sand and water and thus I need the enclosure of the lightning connection. And as for the iPad: whenever I touched the sides something “went off”! Very annoying. With the case I can handle it any way without it doing things of its own.
Tip: I had problems first with typing some characters (didn’t react), but then I decided to remove the glass protection that had been added when I bought the device and now it works just fine! For me no other protection than the Otterbox ! Thanks for a wonderful product!

Great case but one issue
This is my second defender case for my iPhone. My first one was black and I went with this gray-blue color the second time. I really like it. My only issue with this case is that over time it stretches when you remove the outer part for cleaning. When that happens It allows dust and lint and other things to get underneath the plastic. Overall it’s a really good case!

This is the fifth Otterbox I have purchased for various devices, its as good as all the others. Perfect fit and feel with a lot of imact protection - with one exception, don't like the plastic screen protector. So, typically I cut the plastic out and replace with tempered glass, easy but necessary modification for me. The rest of it is great, shipping was fast.

Always a smart purchase
The effectiveness of the Otterbox defender series at protecting is unmatched. I am always working in environments unsavory for the health of smartphones, but the defender series case always keeps my phone in proper operational order. Extreme cold, heat, rain/snow, multiple drops, and various strikes to the case/screen areas are always deemed ineffective by otterbox.

Best iPhone protection available
I have purchased an otter box case for every iPhone I have owned, and this case stays true to the level of protection I have come to depend on. Working in the metal recycling business and constantly taking pictures of machine repairs and materials, this case let’s me relax knowing my phone is safe. The rubber outer shell provides a secure grip and the built in screen protector cleans up easily. The rubber shell does feel a little less pliable and soft than the previous versions, but it does not affect daily use.

Great protection for iPhone 8
We had the Otterbox defenders on our IPhone 5’s for 5 1/2 years and the customer service rep that activated our iPhone 8’s said they still looked new when he pulled the covers off. We are careful with our phones, but they had beef dropped a few times. The screen protector does a great job and doesn’t seem to affect the ability to operate the phone or send a long text message. We knew we were going to get new Otterbox protection for our new iPhones and had them ready before we activated the phones. We would not go without them. They also provide extra grip so the phones don’t slip out of your hand easily. A little harder to slip into your pocket, but well worth it.

Practical but unattractive
It’s a well-made high quality product but it’s just ugly. I got the blue and pink but it’s still ugly. If you have an active job or you are hard on your phone these complete coverage cases are great.

Must have
This case has saved my phone so many times!
I’m a repeat phone serial killer! I drop or kick The phone daily!
Usually skidding across the street- but sometimes into a puddle or bucket of water :(
I had replaced a several phones before a friend suggested this case.
This is my 3rd otter box (believe me- it’s hard to break these things
But my phones have lived!
I also gift them to friends as clumsy as I am.
The only downside would be the screen is a little hard to see in sunlight-

So worth the money!!
I have Otterbox's on all our iphones and ipads in the family. Has saved us many times.Example I went to pull out my phone while riding on the back of our Harley Davidson down highway in Sturgis and I dropped it and we were going 60 mph when it hit the ground,The state patrolman behind us seen what happened stopped pick it up and brought it to us after we pulled over..He was very impressed and said I gotta get my wife one of these!! No damage to phone and am still using it 3 years later!!!

TOO STIFF
I’m glad to have protection around my iPhoneSE (2nd Gen). But I find the rechargeable port is too stiff and that makes unplugging the recharge cord difficult. The sound controls are also too stiff. And it is very difficult to turn off the phone because that button cover is very stiff.
The case is very protective. The case makes accessing the controls very difficult.

I only use OtterBox!
I’ve only used OtterBox phone cases for the last ten years. This case is as high-quality as they come. I’ve dropped my phone countless times on its corners, in water, in cooking oil (don’t ask), and my babies sometimes teethed in the edges of my phone. I’ve never had a crack or chip on my phone as long as an OtterBox Defender case protected it. I once broke a piece off my case in a rather aggression drop, and OtterBox replaced the case for free.

Fits well
Purchased a new I Phone 7 and ordered the Defender case. The case is nice quality and fits well. I noticed that the case material is fairly hard and not as "rubbery" as my last Otterbox case. The harder material makes it more difficult to push the buttons. Website could be reworked to make the selection process easier. I thought I was ordering the other style case.

I always get this case because I know it is reliable. As a coach I am constantly tossing my phone out of my hand (it doesn’t always make it to the ball cart ) and my phone is still alive and kicking. The outer shell does get worn down after years of use but I always keep the inside shell to mix and match with the new cases I get.

Love the peace of mind
I have been buying the Defender for as long as I’ve been owning iPhones. I love the peace of mind that comes from not having to worry about dropping my phone. The newest Defenders are now even easier to apply to my phone than ever now that the screen protector is built into the frame and I no longer have to position it just right directly on my phone screen. I will continue to order a new Defender with every phone upgrade.

Decent Protection
My wife wanted a color that was a little different than my new case which I bought in black. We had Otterbox Defender series for our old phones so when we got new phones, Otterbox was the logical choice. I got mine at a retail store but they ( all others also did not have the purple one my wife saw online. Ordered right from the website and, and boom, wife had the purple case for her phone. These cases add a lot of stability and make the phone more robust plus giving it a better feel than the phone without a case which felt fragile and like, slippery. My wife loves the color and added protection the Otterbox gives her new phone. Touch ID works as though there is nothing there but knowing there is a screen protector there gives a peace of mind factor that is satisfying.

Highly protective, minor flaws
I bought this case to be a highly protective case as I work in lanscaping. It performs very well and I love the level of protection. I have struggled with the sensitivity of the fingerprint identity covering not being sensitive enough to allow my phone to read my fingerprint on the home button. I frequently need to use my passcode to open my phone. I also was slightly disappointed in the design of the back of the case because the open circle is not where Apple logo is actually located on this new version of the SE. This does not effect functionality in any way, but just is cosmetically odd.

OtterBox is ALWAYS my first choice!!
I buy OtterBox cases for all the devices I own that they make them for. I've tried many different types of cases but they just don't hold up. Their cases are extremely well made and while adding a little bit of bulk to the device protects it and makes it look brand new years later. I've even had people blown away when I take my 3 year old phone out of it's case and it looks like I just purchased it.
The only con that I've ever had is the silicone covers tend to get deformed with age so they don't fit as well as the years go by. This is just a minor issue to me but is the only issue that I've ever had with any of my many MANY OtterBox cases.

More armor than I realized
I ordered the Defender thinking it was what I previously had and liked, but I was wrong: This case has a plastic screen which makes using the home button as well as letters close to the edges harder for me to tap hard enough to register. My phone does get dropped a lot which means this case would be desirable, but for the majority of my use, it is frustrating. I will either try to cut away the protective screen or get a Commander case or similar model.

Good condition
I bought this a few weeks ago and it arrived fairly quickly. It’s in good condition and it works well with my iPhone. I don’t regret this purchase. My only complaint is that the screen protector smudges up too much, but other than that it’s fine.

I've used this case over the years with all my smart phones. It has protected my cell perfectly. I drop it a lot from some heights too. I mechanic with it in my pocket and the oil and grime never get to it, it always looks brand new when out of the case.

Love Otterbox
I love Otterbox and will always go to them for cases. The only problem I have with this case is that I ordered it for the Iphone SE 2nd Gen and the Iphone 8 one came. It's not that big of a deal because it's the same size but the hole to show the apple logo is in the wrong place (which is why the 2nd gen is supposed to have no hole). I am going to keep it however because given the current state of our world shipping for almost everything is super slow. Overall though this case is my favorite and I have been getting the defender series for at least 5 years now.

Wonderful Product!
Purchased my first OtterBox in 2012 and it protected my first iPhone 5 for 7 1/2 years! Kept the 5 this long just to prove to the kiddos that it could be done! Just got the iPhone 11 and of course I had to have the protection of an OtterBox! Broke two holster clips, but the OtterBox kept my phone safe all those years...sure hope this one protects as well as my first one did! Great product!

Great product
This is a great product. I have had a few of these over the years. Use in an engineering environment and really do protect your phone. After having a phone for 4 years it comes out as new.
One word of warning, make sure its a genuine OtterBox. The one that I had before was a little cheaper but it said it was an Otterbox. It was a fake!

Love it so far!!!
Recently purchased for my husband’s first ever smart phone. He needed something rugged to protect his phone. His last flip phone ended with sawdust under the screen before it finally gave out. He wanted something he could carry in his front pants pocket that would take his hard work. After looking at all kinds of phones, decided on an iPhone with the Otterbox Defender case. He’s had it for two weeks so far and loves it. He uses the belt clip( which he didn’t think he’d like and says it’s not in his way at all. He’s afraid he’ll knock it loose when he logs but so far so good.

Good protection for iPhone
I’ve had my iPhones in Otterbox for years, so when I got a new one I got a new Otterbox Defender. It is excellent for protecting against breakage and screen damage. It is NOT waterproof. A few drops of liquid spilled on the face were able to seep around the screen protector to the phone’s screen. I had to take it all apart to dry it, but there was no damage. Also disappointed that my favorite red was not available so I had to settle for the purple which unfortunately has dated looking mauve trim. All in all I’d buy it again though. Best protection I’ve found for the price.

Does the job for iPhone SE model
Fits perfect but is not specific for the SE model. There is a window on the back of the case for the Apple logos that were on the older "7" and "8" models. The new SE does not have the logo so it looks like I have the wrong case for the phone! Oh well!

OtterBox is worth the money
I am replacing a purple OtterBox Defender Series Case after 3 years of faithful service. I spilled varnish on the screen and the thumb film finally wore out so I peeled it off myself. While I owned my purple box, I accidentally left my phone on the top of my car while in my garage and drove out into a heavy rainstorm. By the time I arrived at my destination, my phone was still on the roof of my car, held fast by the grip of the outer shell of the Defender case! I will be forever thankful for OtterBox cases! Note the Defender case is thicker and will not allow the phone to fit into small slots designed for thin or case-less phones. The rugged protection I have received is worth this negligible inconvenience. During those 3 years, my phone traveled with me internationally and on hiking trips all without incident. It was dropped into a toilet and the case kept my phone safe. My phone still looks brand new! My only wish is that OtterBox would come up with a replaceable plastic screen and thumb film, because my purple box is still in perfect condition! Still, I'm delighted with the sleek color combo (Big Sur) of my new box. Its quality appears to be the same as my previous box. I am keeping my purple box in case a replacement screen becomes available from OtterBox.

Best iPhone Protection
I had a 5s iPhone that was dropped a lot during the five years that I used it until the battery swelled and I needed to replace the phone with a newer SE model. An Otterbox Defender Series protection case was purchased with that phone and it protected the phone to look like new when I finally replaced it. I had no hesitation to purchase another Defender Series to protect the new SE phone.
This case is a rugged and hefty case that comes with a plastic screen protector built in so that you don't have to buy one separately. It has fairly thick rubber and feels substantial in your hand, but doesn't add a lot of weight to the phone. The case is easy to open if dust gets under it to clean the phone (and the case itself, but that doesn't happen too often since the Defender case is very snug and protects the phone. The case buttons align perfectly to the iPhone buttons and the connection ports.
I used the included belt clip/stand that came with the old case and that plastic clip broke about a year into owning the phone while I was walking down an airport terminal dropping the phone to the hard tile floor, but the phone was well protected during the fall. Otterbox replaced that belt clip/stand for free and it again lasted about another year or so before the clip broke again. I really didn't need to use the clip anymore, but it does make a decent stand for the phone. The clip just has a weak point in the plastic that fatigues after some time of use. After five years the older case was suffering from some fatigue and stretch on the rubber, but that's a lot of use over time.
The new case is virtually the same as the older one with a few slight changes to accommodate the different style of the newer iPhone. The protection covers for the charging port and the sound switch have thicker rubber which is good. The case is thick enough to protect the camera lens on the back, cleans easily and has already protected the phone from a few drops. I have the black color just because it shows less damage marks or wear. I hope that it will last as long as the previous case and so far, after a month or two, it's been doing a great job. Nothing in the plastic or rubber appears to degrade the signal on the phone.
I definitely recommend this case if you are rough on your phone and want good protection.

Protects my investment!
I recently purchased my third iPhone and my third otter box. The phone arrived a few days before the Otter Box. I trust Otter Box more than I trust my ability to not drop and damage a “naked” cell phone so the phone sat unopened until I could enclose it in my new Otter Box. Now I can use my new iPhone knowing that it’s safe and secure inside the Otter Box. Thanks for making such a great product.

It’s exactly what it says it is
It’s a great case! I love the color, a brighter blue than I’d expected, but lovely. You can just tell it’s good quality when you fit it on the phone. It’s snug and perfect and while I never feel completely safe with throwing my phone on my bed when I get home, this is about as close as I’ll come to that. The defender is fantastic protection. Well, I’ve only had this one for a week now, but I’m expecting it to stand up to my expectations. Had my other defender (on the SE for 4 years before the rubber flap over the headphone port came off, and even then the phone was still safe (not a scratch, and I work on a farm and have done all kinds of crazy things with it untouched). Here’s to the same great lifespan with this one!

Best protection for your iPhone
I loved the Otterbox I had for my IPhone 6s. I had to replace my phone it worked fine it was 3g and the network wasn’t going to support it anymore more. That is the only reason to replace a phone protected by an Otterbox. It’s like the old Timex ad. (With an Otterbox) your phone “takes a licking and keeps on ticking “. I write very few reviews Otterbox is one of the few products worth the effort.

Color selection has gotten boring
I've always loved the way the Defender series protects my iPhone investment; It's all I would ever use...... But you color options have gotten down right boring! I miss the bright colors that allow me to find my phone in a busy work space. Please bring back some more exciting colors for the shells & slip covers. I usually use your build my own option..... but I almost fell asleep doing it this last time....... come on guys.... It's 2020

Love my OtterBox
I love first supporting local Colorado biz! Also love the durability of the cover- like many others, I’m sure, there’s a lot of phone dropping and rough mishaps, and I feel safe with my phone knowing otterbox has my back.
I was actually given a discount code for my otterbox and jumped on the chance to get a new otterbox. I think since I’ve had iPhones, I’ve had otterbox case- so definitely have some years with you guys. So Thank You for making a great product!

Rubber!
I bought my first otterbox when I bought my first iPhone, a 5S. I asked the sales agent for something that would bounce if I dropped my phone, and it's what he showed me. That was in 2015 and the otterbox outlasted the phone. Last month I upgraded to an 8 and promptly bought another otterbox. This time I got to mix and match my colors. Tres chic!

Otter Box Holster & Belt Clip
I have used Otter Boxes for over 15 years, first with an iPhone 5SE and now with an iPhone 12SE. I went through several holsters in 15 years, but there is nothing better than the Otter Box system. The holsters take a beating, at least in my life, but Otter Box cannot be excelled in keeping you cell phone in one piece and functioning, because you will drop it -- Guaranteed!

Too bulky and hard to press buttons
Although this product will nicely protect your phone, it's too bulky. The volume buttons are hard to use and, the most challenging is opening the little flap to plug in the lightening cable. It also makes the phone REALLY heavy which is to be expected I suppose. You have to choose between bulk and difficulty of use vs. protecting your phone

Otter Box not up to its standards
I was forced by Apple to buy a new phone with the latest update so as usual I bought an Otter Box to protect it . However the cheapest phone Apple offered was the 8 and i must say if you start with junk you end with junk. The Otter Box cover protects the phone well but operating the phone through the case and the screen was hit or miss.
I think it’s tome to go back to a flip phone !

It’s ok
I bought this for my teen son because he is HORRIBLE with phones. I have an Otter case but different style. It works great against dropping of the phone BUT the plastic that protects the screen is annoying. You have to almost punch the numbers and letters to send a text or place a call. The thumb print option works sometimes as it can not read all the details of the thumbprint. Again, it’s ok because it’s saving the phone, but annoying you can barely use your phone.
