Does it fit?
I literally cannot get my iPhone into this case. I’ve had it for weeks and I’ve asked all kind of friends and family. I’m convinced it doesn’t fit. Even if I could get it on at this point, how could I ever take it off… it says defender pro XT and I have the iPhone 14 pro (not max)… maybe they sent me for the pro max?? But that would fit even worse?

Belt holder
Belt holder does no it Allow phone case to fit securely into holder. I’m constantly having to double check if it’s securely fastened in. MKes me very nervous about losing my phone. Not near as good as my old case holder

Falls out of holster
I’ve had this case since I bought my iPhone 14 pro max and it has fallen out of the holster more times than I can count. So far, the phone has not been damaged, so I guess it’s doing its job. However, I’d prefer my phone to stay in the holster and not on the ground.

Leaner, Not Quite Meaner
Coming from an iPhone 11 Defender case, I understand this new one for the iPhone 14 Pro had to be shaped differently because the form factor of the 14 Pro is different. I'm therefore not sure if it was possible to replicate the impressive high raised edges and depth of camera protection on previous Defender cases. What this new Defender appears to be is a mixture of the best features of the Symmetry, Commuter, and Defender. There's a rubberized exterior and interior shell, but the case is slimmer and easier to pocket. The black Defender case looks sleek with my Space Black iPhone. This is by far the most professional looking Defender case I've ever seen. I have no idea how well it will stand up to drops, but it appears to offer the best grip and protection of Otter's current offerings for the 14 series. That being said, the camera protection is shallower than I woud like. It's there, but it's a bit close for comfort. Overall, I like it, but I don't love it as much as I did my last Defender.

This phonecase is trash
I had Lifeproof for 10 years. My Lifeproof encased phone survived multiple drops in the parking lot, flying out of a moving golfcart and tumbling down the cart path 20 feet, pouring rain from a concert, etc. Now, I bought the new Defender case, what a waste of money!!!
This thing doesn't even come with a screen protector. It's your bare iphone screen out in the breeze. Your mute button and camera are also exposed. It's very difficult to put the phone in the case. I don't think this case would protect my phone from the experiences my previous Lifeproof case (which fully encased my phone and left no exposed parts) did. I don't know why I spent so much on this trash. I also hate this website and how it tries to make you accept a ton of cookies and constantly has popups with its own ads. TRASH TRASH

Camera issues
With the iphone 14 camera being so large this does not protect it how it should. I have used only otterbox for the last 7 years but im going to have to return this case and look for a different brand. Either you let your cameras go with very little protection or buy a case that allows a camera protector. Honestly disappointed as they should have taken this into consideration,

Plastic cover broke
Accidentally dropped the case once (from about 3 feet up) and one of the corners on the plastic cover snapped right off. This happened maybe a week after I got it. I’ve been using OttetBox products for nearly a decade and this was only the second time it’s happened. (The other time it happened was with my Defender series 11 Pro case) Still, this case was new and I’m very disappointed. Not sure whether I’d buy the Defender series again. May look at other brands.

Let me start it’s a super thin case,I felt off brand cases that had more protection than this.it don’t provide you with full protection on your camera!!! The camera are protruding.a couple drops it’s over with.I been an otterbox fan since the iPhone 4,all I buy is otterbox cases but over the years the quality looks like it been declining.ANd I’m not happy with this purchase.it’s a beautiful color that one pro I can say about it.but I’m thinking about switching to casetify bounce for my full protection.I wanted to love this otterbox case but I just can’t, it look like they just rushed and made thease cases without putting any thought to it.many of my friend said it DID NOT PROTECT THE CAMERA. And that they dropped their phones on the back and the camera crack!!!

Poor quality "alpha glass"
I gave it a 3-star, which is comprised of a 5-star for the case and 1-star (actually zero) for the "alpha glass" . The case is nice, just as expected, but the alpha glass is basically useless. I installed it very carefully, following the instructions to the letter. After a couple weeks of use the alpha glass does not adhere to the phone screen and the bottom half is a big bubble. It has adversely affected the use of my phone, making it difficult to use touchscreen commands on the bottom half of the phone. I reported this to Otterbox 2-3 weeks ago and was told they would send me a replacement under warranty, however, I have still not received the replacement. I hope the replacement works as advertised but I have my doubts.

Cheaper & Thinner than previous defenders
I’ve always gotten a defender case so purchasing another for my new phone was a no brained. However when I got mine in the mail I was shocked at how much cheaper this felt and how much thinner the protection was. This is definitely not worth the price anymore. It isn’t raised enough to even protect the camera lens.

Really knocked it out of the park with this one!
I had a defender case on my iPhone 13 Pro. It was nice but bulky. Definitely protected the phone over the year I had it and it was nice that it did not slide around when in the car. The case held up well and did not fall apart. This new case for the 14 pro is awsome! Slimmed it down, it actually feels good to hold. Does not slide around and the anti microbial is a nice touch. Well done!!!!

Beware when using this case on the newest iPhone models. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and dropped it back side down on the sidewalk and it scratched all my camera lenses. This being said, the new phone cameras are bigger and bumped out so the otterbox case needs to be updated for better protection.

Defender Case
This is my 3rd Defender Case. One of the reasons I purchase it besides its level of protection is the opportunity to use it with a holster. I would have given it 5 stars, but, unlike my previous case for an iPhone 11 Pro, this Defender case did not come with a PopSocket option. I didn't realize how much I missed having a PopSocket until having the new one without it.

Nice, but a bit sloppy for the price
This is the first Otterbox case I’ve purchased. I’m giving it 3 stars and will highlight the pros and cons:
Pros: I love the feel and grip of the rubber outter layer. Just the right amount of grip, but slides in and out of the pocket easily. I also find the holster surprisingly functional, keeping my phone secure during a full day of working outdoors.
Cons: I am only giving it 3 stars because ever since I first installed the case, it creaks, and feels a bit loose on the sides. I’ve uninstalled, and reinstalled the case, no remedy. The amount of “wiggle” in the case seems to depend of the temperature, or if I’ve recently had my phone in the holster. It’s the upper plastic ring, which appears to flex along the sides of the phone, despite being clipped all the way around.I still think the case would protect my phone in a fall, but for the price, I wouldn’t have expected to have this annoying feeling every time I go to use my phone. Maybe I just got one that is a bit out of spec.

I can’t even tell it’s a defender. Fits great on the hand. The Camo look is awesome and the feel of the Camo material is not what I expected, in a good way. Must have!

Don’t expect the thickness of the old Defenders
I was pretty disappointed with the Defender Pro. I was expecting the same type construction as my iPhone XR case, but it was much slimmer. I was told the reason was because more people wanted the slimmer size. I would have thought with all the other types, they would have left this one the way it was. To me it didn’t feel as sturdy as my old one. I sent it back paying the $5 postage, and I will search for one more like my old one.

Good quality, poor color choices
I got the pink, but it’s not a nice shade, and the contrasting teal is distracting. The other color options weren’t much better. I would have liked the old Big Sur blue color or a purple. The quality of the case seems good otherwise.

Phone clip isn’t even usable on this case. I called customer support and was sent a replacement that does the same thing. Now my screen is cracked from falling out of clip constantly. I’ve been using otterbox for years, really is a disappointment.

Otterbox Helps
My Otterbox Pro Protector and holster arrived in the time expected. It was well packaged and protected during shipping. I had initially purchased an iPhone 14, but the next week I had swapped for an iPhone 14 Pro. Otterbox was very generous in letting me return the first Protector and sent me the second Pro Protector. And the protection it supplies is perfect for me.

Only Time Will Tell
It's a great case, I believe. But this is the kind of purchase where only time will tell. I will say that there seems to be more flexibility in the hard plastic around the case, and I don't love that the lightning and silence switch covers have to be let out every time I want to plug in my phone or silence and unsilence my phone. These are minor inconveniences though, and all in all, things seem good so far.

Nothing protects like an OtterBox
Fits great, works great. I also added a glass screen protector to keep any scratches down. Modified the holster clip to hold the phone on my truck dash.

Great protection, not so sure for camera lenses
The case is easy to install and remove. I also used a protective sheet for the glass and bought a protective cap for the camera but due to the shape of the case, I could not put the camera protective case. I hope that the otterbox case does a good enough job protecting the camera lenses as they look pretty exposed to drops.

MeProof! A little color please
I’ve had a number of Defender series cases with holsters. They’ve been my go to for years for a reason. I drop my phone WAY TOO OFTEN. I’ve broken my fair share of holsters but never had a scratch on any of my phones. Holsters are cheap and the breaks were deserved. My only complaint is color selection. I wear my phone at work. There hasn’t been a non black case for either of my last 2 phones that didn’t look like a teenager. A little contrast to help you see it in dark places would be great. The inside case in white, blue, red, or orange as an option would be a win. The rest black or navy (!!!) would keep it looking professional. I’m going to try the Pro XT with MagSafe next. Stay tuned. If you can hurt a phone in it, I’ll figure it out soon.

I have used Otterbox phone cases for my last three phones. They have never failed to protect my phones. I’ve never had a cracked screen or damaged case. I use the Defender cases.

Nice case but needs work
Great case but the back piece is pathetic. Soft rubber instead of hard plastic. It flexes when I use my LifeProof quick mount and does not feel secure.

I have always had the defender case because it had the cover over the screen. My fault for not reading more, but disappointed it doesn’t come that way anymore. It’s just the extra security for me for such an expensive device. I do still like the durability though.

Defender Otter Box
I was happy to be able to get it from you as Roger's and Bell here in Ontario told me it was discontinued. I did find your price expensive with exchange compared to the stores here. The phone does not "Lock" in to clip as well as my previous Iphone 12 in its otter box. I have used the defender for all of my iphones and this one has a little click that pops and phone can fall out if you are not able to hear it when happens. I love that my phone is protected especially now with the phone return program in place with providers. I will continue to purchase, would be nice if you could address the glitch

I like it. It’s got a bump on the back near the charge port that creates a gap between the phone and case. It was aggravating at first but I’ve gotten used to it. Maybe it’ll eventually lay down. Wasnt sure if it was defective or made that way.

You got one star because I can't give a negative count. this is not anywhere near the quality of your previous versions, This was supposed to protect an iphone 14 pro but the phone spent more time on the floor than in the holster. the clip has an audible click when it is placed in the holster but within minutes i have to turn around and go find out where it fell out at. at this time I think placing it in a Walmart bag attached to my belt would be safer.

Giving 2 stars only for attractive looks. Otherwise not doesn’t live up to my expectations from numerous past Otterbox protectors. Case fit id sloppy, and the holster drops my phone frequently. The currentholster is a warranty replacement and is as poor a fit as the first one. Question: do we get only one warranty do-over, evrn when replacements are faulty? Oh, by the way, this is my third review for the same item, 1st two disappeared.

Mute button seems low in the access flap
The access flap to the mute button seems a little off center so that the button is up against the lower edge of the flap and frame of the case. It requires a bit more reach down into the bottom to flip the switch.

This case scratched the bezel on my new iPhone....
Do not buy this case. I put it on the first day I bought my iPhone 14 Pro. I took it off a couple days ago to clean and to switch to a new Magsafe Otterbox case so I could enjoy Stand-By with IOS 17. When I took it off I realized the bezel on both sides of my phone have been scratched bad. Not happy.

I absolutely hate this. its a lot thinner than what it use to be.the case don't even protect my camera.just waste of money.the engineers team should all be fire behind this.this is very sad.yet I've been a otter box fan since thee iPhone 4.everything was otter box that I rely on protection for my case.yall will lose a lot of customers behind this including the loyals such as myself.if y'all gone have a the case thin at least make a case that will be compatible to camera lens protecters!!! I'm not at all please.this need to change. y'all should make thicker case y'all been doing when it come to defender series and a case that gone protect the camera and have it compatible to camera lens protecters!!! if y'all don't I will never be an otter box fan again.this product was a disappointment to the MAX!!!!!!!
