Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy product but… Purchased this for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max since I had a good experience with a Defender case on my iPhone X. I had no problem with wireless charging with my iPhone X with the case on. At the bottom of the page to buy the Defender for the iPhone 13 it says wireless charging compatible. After putting the case on the iPhone 13 I found that it would not wireless charge. I contacted Otterbox service and they said it would not wireless charge. I pointed them to the bottom of the page where it said it would wireless charge and was still told it wouldn’t wireless charge. I was told I should have bought a different case. Great service!

I went from the XS Max which stayed in the holster all the time to the 13 pro max case which just pops out when I’m walking. Today walking around it popped out 5 times luckily I hear it hit the ground.

The phone doesn’t seat completely into the holster so there is a gap between the phone and the bottom of the holster giving a possible place for objects to grab ahold of the phone and dislodge it

We upgraded to the new iphone 13 pro max and he always uses his belt clip. I must say for the first time this belt clip doesn't work well at all. his phone always falls out of it, doesn't clip well at all, so he's disappointed in that. we had to buy a generic belt clip that works great with no pop outs. So if you use a belt clip, I wouldn't suggest using it.

I have to look elsewhere I should have read the reviews before buying it! I've used otterbox since the Iphone 4 never had a problem, so much for quality control!

I have ALWAYS relied on OtterBox and their superior quality and phone protection. But the case broke my existing screen protector, AND would not accept a new one. Screen protectors DO NOT fit this phone case. And the “protective” ridge around the edge is no longer deep and protecting of the screen. New design is poorly executed.

Going 65 mph on a highway I saw to my horror the phone drop and hit the road. Went back and found the case on the side of the road partially askew and the phone about 10' away undamaged. The Defender case is cheap insurance. for my phone.

They are not the same size which is why I think the case is not working. I writing this review because my husband phone feel off the clip and he did not know it. Phone lost a week after buying it. Thankfully we were able to track the phone down and get it back or this could have been devastating situation. We have never had this issue in the past! Please send me another case when you make a case that fits the 13 Pro Max!

I bought this case for my new IPhone 13 ProMax like I have done for the last 6-7 iPhones and iPads, and they also fit snugly in the holster. This one is very loose. I had to put electrical tape inside the holster to make sure it didn't fall out. Just the slightest bump would cause it to wiggle loose, to the point where it definitely could fall out. I tried four other cases inside of BestBuy and they all did the exact same thing, so clearly there is a fit and finish issue with this specific case. Please advise if / when / how this is being addressed. I pay the extra money for Otterbox products because I expect quality, fit and finish.

Bought a new Defender for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max. It moves around in the belt clip holder and easily releases the phone. Does not hold at all. I've already had my phone drop to the ground a few times. POOR design, not at all like previous Defender cases. Get something else.

I have two in the pro max size and one in the 13 size and am seriously considering moving to another brand that that has wireless charging compatibility

I’ve owned 6-7 otterbox cases over the years for various phones I’ve had, so I was excited to get one for my 13 pro max, but to only be a little disappointed when it arrived. My main reason for purchasing the otterbox is the belt clip, but it just won’t clip the onto case and hold it securely. Hopefully otterbox is working on a solution quickly. I’ve been trying to contact their customer support for the past few days with no luck.

I work in construction and i need to have the belt clip securely hold the phone. The enclosed clip Does Not Lock The Phone in and it drops is all the time. The iPhone 13 max pro does not “click” into the clip securely at all.

The many is not because the Defender would wear out but I’d break the belt clips often…, but the clips held the phone like glue, but all in all the defender was a great product. HOWEVER…, with the new design and the redesigned belt clip I am not so sure it’s a great product anymore. For one, they made the case less bulky and heavy by slimming it up and using less material (rubber. The redesigned belt clip does NOT FIT SNUGGLY, causing the phone to snap out of the belt clip and fall …, a lot. Now it is a nuisance… and if that’s now going to be the norm with the defender case then I want all the rubber the older designed defender case had to offer…, and more.

The belt clip does NOT hold the phone securely. Phone has fallen out of clip multiple times and almost lost the phone one of those times. Tried to submit a claim but you are trying to charge me for shipping on your defective product. Not the way you treat a long time customer.

I have used the defender series for a very long time and has always been the best. With this new one the phone does not stay in the belt clip. Not sure what changed but it needs to be fixed.

The phone case is 2 hard shell halves that snap together and then are encased in rubber. The phone is so large that it is uncomfortable to carry it in the belt clip either vertically or horizontally so I just carry it in a back pocket now.

I fixed that with a lighter by heating the tab and pushed it down. this case will not work with my wireless charger like my last one did. now i need to find a different case manufacture.

The belt clip is not SECURE and your phone will fall from the clip. Luckily someone found my phone and gave it back. I have never had an issue with the defender series, but this one is not worth the money, until they fix the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as protective as they used to be This case fits great and is a good purchase for people like me that drop their phone all the time. It is much more square on the back than the old iPhone cases which aren’t as comfortable to hold. THE BIGGEST DOWNFALL of this case is the complete lack of raised edges around the screen. They used to be raised above the screen and gave confidence that the screen wouldn’t contact the ground if it fell face down. This new case won’t take any impact off of the phone screen and will leave the screen in pieces.

I returned them for a refund and purchased one from your web site. It does not hold the phone as good as the old model either and just waiting for it to drop my phone. I have an I-phone 13 pro max. really disappointed.

Every time I think it is secured, I take a few steps and it falls out. This is the first time I have had a problem with the otterbox but this is getting very maddening. I am afraid it is going to cause damage to this very expensive phone. I have started carrying it in my hand which defeats the whole purpose

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case except belt clip I’ve used otter box cases for years the case withstand everything I could put them through in the construction industry and to me they perform flawlessly every time. The issue I have with this particular case is not the case itself, but the belt clip. The phone just will not stay in the belt clip. I had it hours and called otter box about the issue and they In formed me that they’re aware of the problem and they are working towards a solution. The only solution I found are the clips that are mounted to the case are backwards if you install the case in the belt clip with the screen out, it locks with no movement (but defeats the purpose of the belt clip), but if you install it with the screen in it does not lock into the belt clip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not specifically for the 13 I purchased this case under the guise that this was specifically made for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s not. It’s made for the 12/13. So there’s a slight difference in a couple minor aspects. The camera protrudes more on the 13 and the phone is a couple millimeters thicker. Disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plastic clip defect phone comes loose VERY easy I have always bought the defender series for my phones and never had any issues untill now..The plastic clip that holds the phone is slightly to big and the phone detatches VERY easy ...I have read other reviews about people experieancing this same isses and hopefully i just got one from a bad batch because i need the same hevey duty protection that i have become to expect from OB defendersieries in the past on this phone as well...OB please resolve this issue....OB please note i acdently posted this same review for the non defender series...But just to clairfy the issue im experieancing is with the plastic clip on the 13 MAx Pro Defender series

The iphone 13 pro max case AND clip are not good at all the case fits right down to the screen and cameras (so it has no protection from fall damage and the clip doesn’t even hold the phone! I’ve had it for one day and my phone has fallen out of the clip 5 times…. Super upset and disappointed…

I put the case on only to realize how much protection I am missing! The screen protection is minimal and with a screen protector it’s negligible. I have always purchased Otterbox for about a decade. I am now in the market for something to protect my $1,400 more than what this case has to offer. Materials and edge protection had changed very noticeably from the case offered for the 11 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max. Help!

My only complaint is the lack of colors for women in this series. Please add some more colors for the ladies. AND PLEASE BRING BACK THE BUILT IN SCREEN PROTECTORS. Other than those two things, I would never buy another protector case anywhere.

My phone is not secured in the holster, due to it falls right out of the holster. Even after I hear the clicking sound of it supposed to be secured, when it is not. No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have always used otter box without any problems and knowing my phone was protected. I work construction and need the protection. So day one the phone falls out of the holster walking around my yard 3 times...like why?!?!?! So I make sure I'm not clipping it in wrong, I wasn't. However it is so sensitive to release from the retaining clip. I went to Verizon today not quite 24 hours of having it and they seemed surprised as well. So surprised they took another new one out of the package with same results. I am unsure of the reason weather it be a slimmer not as bulky design making the clip area smaller or what. I am lucky I found my phone without walking on it or worse. I cannot say anything about the durability of the case itself but other than it being slimmer it seems similar to older models. A replacement or warranty claim will not help with the attachment to the holster. There is a design issue that should be revisited before people start dropping, breaking or losing their new iPhone worth $1100. Not sure to keep the case and modify fitment, ditch the holster and back in my pocket or simply return for a new brand to stick by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like the Defender but belt clip…… Five stars for the Case it’s self but removing stars for the belt clip/holster. For years I’ve used the defender case, from iPhone 4 to my present iPhone 13 Pro Max. I choose the Defender series as it has a belt clip plus superior protection while hiking, biking and more. In the past the belt clip held my phone securely but they must have redesigned it and frankly it’s terrible. I have lost my phone several times falling to the ground as it comes out of the holster just getting out of my truck. I’m afraid that the clip will fail and I won’t notice it and lose my device, or it will hit hard enough that it’s damaged. Over all I like Otterbox and do recommend them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Belt clip problem I purchased the 77-84381 Otterbox Defender case and Aliun glass screen protectors for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max on Dec 2nd, 2021. The belt clip does not hold my phone securely at all. I has fallen out 15 times already. I suspect I have a defective belt clip unless it has a design flaw. There is about an eight of an inch gap between the clip and the phone after the phone is installed in the case. The phone rattles around and falls out often. This is unacceptable. If I cannot get a clip that secures my phone safely I will need to return the entire case to Amazon for a refund. I plan to call the support line when you open tomorrow. I never had this kind of problem with my Otterbox Defender case for my iPhone 6 Plus. Thank you

The old ones had a lip above the screen and gave it a better protection. The hard clip also is very loose, and the phone slips out constantly, hinch why my screen protector and camera lense protector are cracked. Give us a better case that protects our $1300 phones.

If you examine the belt clip and case closely you will see that the cutout on the case for the belt clip is about 1/2 the width of the Defender case of an iPhone X for example. Then, instead of a mini bar on the belt clip clip itself, to clip into the case cutout, there are just 2 thin prongs that don't go deep enough into the cutout and looks like they could break off easily. Otterbox has to be aware of this design change that probably saved them a penny in manufacturing cost but they will end up losing that savings through CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION!!! Stop cheaping out Otterbox!

I have tried three different screen protectors and the hard inner shell pushes up on the edges of the screen protector causing it to bubble. This allows for dust and dirt to collect between the protector and the screen. Now I have to look for a new case.

The plastic edges do not line up tightly like my old IPhone 11 Pro Max does.. in fact you don’t even hear the old “click” like mine does. I have absolutely no faith that if my 6 year old drops it from one of our cars it would hold up. Shame on you Otterbox, quality is not what it used to be at all. I have heard, the holster has been an issue, for some people but I don’t use it so cannot relate. However, the protection it offers when you drop it and say to day use is beyond incredible. I have butterfingers and drop my phone at least once a day. My phone is in pristine condition. Not one scratch or ding. As a result, I’ve used the lifetime warranty on each of my phones at least once, which has also proved to be the best program/warranty for phone cases. After about 2 years of every day use and drops, I’ve only had to replace my case once for this particular phone. There are no downsides. Also comes w/o an attached screen protector which is better than initial models of the defender series for older iPhone models (4, 5s etc). This allows me to keep a nice, fresh pristine glass screen protector which has no impurities and doesn’t yellow (the old built in screen protectors would get yellow and cloudy over time). The defender case works so well I’ve only had to replace my screen protector once as well and that was only as a result of dropping my phone down several flights of concrete stairs.

What I love the most about this case is the overall protection, and most especially the lipped edge that goes around the front of the screen for added protection. Also, when clipping it on, the screen faces inward, so that allows another layer of protection. I also like how the clip is also a kickstand for a handsfree viewing of video and camera. The hard case definitely gives your phone the best protection out there. Highly recommend this Otterbox Defender Case.

I always buy the Defender cases for all of my iPhones, but like the other reviewers posted, the phone will easily pop out of the holster. These are $1000 to $1500 iPhones too! The phone does not sit flush against the inside of the holster and I've tried several of them. They're all loose fitting like that. You can actually see a gap and daylight! You can snap the phone into the holster and feel it pop, because it goes too far into the holster on the side with the latch. Then it returns to the correct, latched position. It's still too loose though. I'm going to call Otterbox and see if they'll send me out a revised one if/when they get them done. They usually have great products and customer service, so I'm sure that they will make this right.

Both the purple and blue cases are not at all similar to the photos online. The blue version is nearly baby blue with a hint of purple. The purple version is not a rich royal purple like the color but instead a soft gentle purple. Its not bold. The texture is nice, it fits the hand well, but I just cant get over the color.

Using an Anker charger, 1 phone will not charge, 1 will charge for a few minutes then stop, the 3rd phone flashes blue which means foreign object detected. Does not work with my Yootech charger either. Never had a problem with the last IPhone 11 cases.

I was hoping I would get one that would but the fitment is wrong and comes out of the clip easily. I’ve emailed otterbox about returning the product over a week ago and I haven’t heard anything back. Actually feels slimmer, and I’m 5 drops in and not a scratch yet. Definitely the best case if you want maximum protection but still use the cameras and touch screen unencumbered.

We have always bought Otterbox Defender cases for every iPhone my husband has ever had, so when he expresses dissatisfaction with it, I know there’s an issue. The phone will not stay in the clip and is constantly falling out and hitting the ground. We’ve only had the phone about 2 weeks, and I’ve already had to replace his camera screen protector after one too many meetings with the ground/asphalt. The clip design definitely needs to be reviewed and give customers the chance to get the new and improved version because we’ve been Otterbox customers for years (have the cases on our iPads also and do not want to have to shop around for a new case tough enough to survive a LEO’s on the go lifestyle.

Defender case for the Pro Max does not charge with QI. I’ve tried different chargers with negative results. The only way to get it to charge is by removing the rubber outside case. This is the first Otterbox case I am disappointed with. They don’t have any other cases with a full rubber back so I’m going to have to find a different manufactures case. I’m also disappointed by the false information in the FAQ section on this page.

The phone doesn't properly clip in and falls out with just a little nudge. Luckily I was able to return this product to my local Best Buy just hours after buying it. It does not snap in securely as past models have and I use the belt clip daily. I also feel like the edges are lacking the same protection From previous models. I even purchased a second one from Best Buy to be sure the one I got from Amazon wasn’t defective but sure enough, same situation. Super unsatisfied. I can’t believe this even made it past quality control but I guess these days nothing surprises me anymore.

I took a hard fall on my One Wheel and this case, with the holster to protect the face, took the abuse with aplomb.

This last purchase I made for my iPhone 13 pro max was a disappointment as the otterbox clip did not securely hold my phone to it. When I placed the phone to the clip, it would fall off on its own after any type of vibration hit the device. I can see that Otterbox is already aware of this defect. They should stop and recall this particular item to avoid having customers damage or lose their device because of it. Not to mention, word of mouth of dissatisfied customers could end up hurting your credibility and overall sales.

My iphone 13 pro max fell from belt clip holster twice in first half a mounth after I bought it.(Thanks for a good case my phone wasn’t damaged though It was a big disappointment for a brand which I used the series for iphoneXS satisfactory with. Another disappointment is your asian regional branch: I emailed about the problem and NO response whatsoever, I live in Japan but in need of revised belt clip, I may like you to have it send it directly to me, if skipping the HongKong office is much smoother..

Found out though most Otterbox’s will work from at least Verizon wireless accessories. As the defender pro series (black case with lines on back this cases is Great though no worries other than it is slicker and with damp hands hang tight. black case is known for is more dense- much Easier to hang onto. Had I known that it would work wireless, I would’ve purchase it instead !

This box claims to work with MagSafe. Bought an Apple MagSafe charger and it doesn’t even charge with the case on. I have to remove the rubber piece and even then it’s still not a streamlined connection to charge. Kind of disappointed with this purchase.

I have always been a huge otterbox fan when getting a new toy, doesn’t matter if it’s my husbands Samsung s10plus, my sons iPhone, and or my new iPhone 13promax. This case fits my new phone prefect, doesn’t add much to the weight of the new iPhone, it alone is already heavier then past phones. But I find it also doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone either which I am amazed by. I do, however, wish they would go back to the built in screen protectors like their older cases. Another thing I would love to see them add is a screen protector for the cameras. The belt clip that comes with it seems a little loose but not majorly noticeable, it does fit tighter if you push it pass where it’s actually supposed to be, only worry with that is all the rubbing it may cause to the rubber side of the case, will it last and how long? Other then that I love it ! Now off to find a wireless charger that would possibly work without having to take the case off!!!!

On This case,the edge of the case and the screen is almost even so if it lands face down, it has next to no screen protection unless it’s on a perfectly smooth surface.

Regrettably, my personal experience has proven that the cases just don't last as long as they used to. I've had to replace at least one or two per year. It's unfortunate to see the drop in quality, and I hope that the company can improve its standards in the future.

The case itself lifts my screen protector in the upper right corner, my $15 Spigen doesn’t. The holster doesn’t hold the phone securely like my past defender cases have. I have used the chat support and reported the holster issue, I was told they were aware but it didn’t affect all of them for some reason. Would love to do a warranty return on this product. The price we pay for these cases, quality needs to be a lot better.

However, immediately noticed that the phone was not very secure in the belt clip. I rationalized it and blew it off, deciding to give it a shot. Within the first hour of work my phone hit the ground, and then once more before I decided to abandon the belt clip. Sadly I had to return my case for the second choice. Please fix this! I want my OtterBox!!!

Once I dropped it against the table, I cracked my screen protector. The week after that I dropped my phone on the ground and cracked my case a lil. So I invested in an otter box to protect my baby!! A couple of times when getting out of my car, the phone has fallen out and onto the ground. Never had this happen with an Otterbox device.

However, this year for the iPhone 13 Pro Max it was a very big disappointment and let down for me. My phone fits too loose in the holster / belt clip. The phone actually fell out twice. I sent the Otterbox case back for a refund. It was received by Otterbox in Fort Collins, Colorado on Nov 1st at 10:32am. Still no refund and can’t reach them on the phone due to “Scheduled Maintenance”!!! This is not a good way to leave a long time, loyal customer “hanging”. Totally unacceptable when there’s so many other phone case manufacturers out here to choose from. In the past Otterbox was my goto case and the only one to protect my investment. I think it’s time to start looking for other options!!!

The Fort Blue color is a combination of cornflower blue and light gray. I'd say this shade of cornflower blue is more of a gray-ish blue than a purple-ish blue. The colors look great in person and the Defender case is not much bulkier than my previous Otterbox Lumen case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent case except for belt holster I been using Outtabox Defender cases since the iPhone 3GS they always provide maximum protection and this new case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max is no different.I love the slimmer design and the raised design at the top and bottom of the case so the screen won’t touch surfaces when drop so you don’t need a screen protector with this case.My only issue is the belt holster the phone doesn’t seem to lock into place that good like previous holsters I had but it holds the phone into place but takes very little effort to release the phone from the holster.Outtabox needs to fix this ASAP!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally Worst Defender Case Ever I just got my iPhone 13 Pro Max last week, and like every iPhone I have owned since the iPhone 5 I ordered a Defender case for it. This case has been my go-to, only-solution-that-worked for the last 10 years and 4 iPhones I have owned because it was the only one tough enough to match my work and play environment, had a screen protector built in, and a solid holster that firmly held my iPhone in place, even when I bumped the holster. NOT ANY MORE! Like so many others have reported, it takes literally a brush with something for the phone to pop out of the holster and fall to the ground. AND they took away the built-in screen protector so I had to add an aftermarket OTTERBOX brand screen protector that the OTTERBOX case caused to bubble up from one side! This case went from one (for 10 years! that nobody else could match and I was happy to pay the extra $ for to one that is on par with solutions costing half as much. The worst part is that my first iPhone put into an OtterBox only cost $700; this one (now the worst protected of any of them) cost $1600!!! Hey, OtterBox, if you're gonna make me buy a crappy stick-on screen protector IN ADDITION to the high-priced case now, the least you could do is make darned sure that the $1600 phone won't just fall out of the holster!! Don't know what else to say; serious OtterBox Fanboy for many years here. You just seriously dropped the ball here on the most expensive iPhone ever produced.

I got the new iPhone 13 pro max so I got the new defender case to go with it. My iPhone 11 pro max and defender case fit snug and secure with no wiggle room. The plastic holster case was rigid and secure as well. The new defender case fits loosely and the phone is barely held in, plus the holster case is flimsy. My iPhone fell out 6 times the first day. I don’t think my iPhone 11 fell out 6 times in 2 years. Very disappointed and sad that this case has the otter box name on it.

When I received the defender case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max I noticed on the package was written IPhone 12 Pro Max and therefore wasn’t made for the thicker iPhone 13 Pro Max. I couldn’t get the two halves to completely close and lock over my phone but the outer soft jacket holds it all together anyway. The phone case clicks too easily into belt holder. Makes you think it might pop out but it hasn’t.

I’m a bit upset though, because I’m this real tree case. The inside plastic is not black and not the normal. Blazon orange, or hunters orange. That was one of my favorite parts of the case, that orange color peeking through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otter box slim and protective iPhone 13 pro max is def worth protecting. The otter defender has been around for a min and it’s been RELIABLE!!! My last 3 phones have had the defender they survived >7 slips, falls, fumbles and whatever you want to call it. It’s sleek and slim which is great for a larger phone, I only dislike it for how hard it is to put together for my clumsy self. Putting this case on my wife’s iPhone took WAY longer then it should ever take. I looked long and hard for a negative and that’s all I have, buy the case already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPhone 13 Pro Max Defender Otter Box I love Otter Box products. The Defender is the toughest case I have ever used. Drop resistant and super durable. The only down-side is that it is a little bulky. Also, this case didn't come with the hard plastic screen protector. Overall, though, it is the best case on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Only Case I Trust! Having carpal tunnel in both of my hands made me constantly drop my phone. I would cringe every time I’d go to pick my phone off the floor. This case has protected my phone time and time again. And, thanks to the material the case is made of, it helps me get a better grip so I end up dropping it way less than with other cases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy and trying to help with others’ woes! The case is awesome and allows for glass screen protectors to be added. My wife liked my case so much she is getting one for hers. For the wireless charging, I got a phone/watch charger combo from the store that works if my phone is lined up correctly. Worst case scenario buy a charger, try it, return if it doesn’t work. Wireless charging is cool but not something I would compromise protection for. It will always charge with a cord too. My belt clip works as it should. It looks great and holds my phone securely as I carry the snack tote and kids to the minivan. I just make sure it is seated every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and durable, but won’t let iPhone charge I bought this case yesterday for my new iPhone 13 pro max to protect it, which is seems to do. But the package says wireless charging compatible, but I’ve tried 2 different chargers and it won’t budge or charge at all with the case on. I have to take the rubber sleeve off the case just to charge it. Is this normal and expected? How to fix this?

I do wish there were more colors/designs to choose from but that does not negate the quality of this product. I will definitely buy it again and would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy case with some issues I had high hopes for the case. When I received it, I couldn't figure out how to install it. Luckily, I found a video on YouTube and as I installed the case it nearly snapped/broke my screen protector. So, please, if you are considering this case, install the case first and then install your screen protector. After I added the case to my iPhone 13 max, I wanted to find out how to use the holster as a hands-free kickstand per description. I'm still at a loss. I am also afraid that the phone could jump out of the holster, so, I packed this to the side. Also be aware that this case does not work with MagSafe. There is another case that does. Please do look for the MagSafe case in case you are considering using an Otterbox case with MagSafe.

I know with the defender cases I do not have to worry about breaking my phone. I walk a lot and lift heavy things at work and this. This baby is perfect for me and I appreciate the craftsmanship.

I feel very safe having my phone inside of this case, because I have dropped it a few different times and I was sure I was going to break the screen. Easy to install the phone, no real issues getting the case and the skin to settle together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality has gone down hill By far this is the worst Defender case ever! Apparently Otterbox has made it to where you have to buy their glass for a screen protector. If you use other glasses the case sits so close to the edge it lifts up on the edges of the glass. The case itself feels very cheaply made compared to the Iphone 11 case and is lighter in weight. The holster doesnt snap and lock the phone into place. It is very easy to knock the phone out of the holster. I have purchased the defender for every phone i had because of excellent quality of the product but this case does not meet the quality of past Otterbox defenders i am very displeased with the product! Sure Otterbox is saying they are working on the problems but what are they going to do about the crap product i just received! It should have never been released to the consumer until the product was made right! Im a design engineer and i would be very disappointed in my self if i designed a crap product like this xase is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So let down by otter box! Bought this Otter-box about a month ago when I got an IPhone 13 Pro Max. So let down, always been an otter-box fan. This one is horrible, holder is loose and phone barely and stays in and sometimes falls out and place to turn on and off ringer is to small. Ended up getting a different case but feel I was duped by Otterbox. You just lost a faithful customer. Hope this helps you save your money and choose different, if not, you will see what I mean and you will think I should have listened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived a drop into the ocean! Otterbox is simply the best. I had my Iphone max pro 12 in an otter box when it fell off my backpack and into the ocean. It was tossed by two waves and it took me 2 minutes to get it out as the sea tried to claim it. I ripped off the otter box and shoved the naked phone in my pocket so my body heat would dry it as i finished the hike. The phone is fine. Phenomenal. It has also withstood many dicey drops onto hard surfaces. THIS is why I remain brand loyal to Otterbox. The cell phone os too important and expensive to trust to cheap protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The holster still doesn’t fit the phone. 2nd ottorbox defender purchased for my phone. The first was January 2022 and second was January 2023. Neither came with a belt lip that holds the phone. I have purchased replacement belt clips from ottorbox that do so I don’t understand why they continue to sell new products that are defective.
