I also think it’s weird that it always used to come in the box with the OtterBox and now this time you had to go through the free code inside the box to have it ordered and sent to you. It did come very quickly. You can’t beat an OtterBox if you want to protect your phone, that’s why we’ve always used them. I’m just not sure about this one.

All other previous versions (since iPhone 4S days), that click sound indicated the device was locked in to the holster and secure.

The one I had for my previous phone took the phone in the safety part right in the holster part. With this one I have to be very careful to make sure it is locked in place or it drops when I start to move around. Would rather it held when I put it in the holster. Maybe it is just the one that I have. Haven’t seen any one else that has had that problem.

What needs to be different is: the case does not cover the camera button on the iPhone 16 so you can have access to it, but also makes it vulnerable to damage. The problem is..when it is in the clip, it covers to camera lens. So what good is it?? Either make it so the clip adds protection for the camera button.. Or make the clip so it has cut outs for the camera lenses (and the flashlight too)

The first thing I purchased for the new phone was an OtterBox case, and they supplied the holster. Together they go everywhere I go and basically I couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to carry around the Plus without the holster.

The phone keeps unlatching from the case, not sure if it’s a design flaw or a fitting flaw but I am disappointed in the holster.

It’s like the holster is made for a thicker phone or case. It has fallen out with no effort at all. Don’t waste ur money on this product. I bought the case at a store and had to have the clip sent to from otter box. This will be my last otter box purchase.

If I bump my phone while it's clipped to my belt the phone falls out of the clip holster. It also was very inconvenient that it did not come with my new case I had to scan a code, wait for it to arrive a week later and then find out it doesn't fit perfectly like all my other Otter boxes on previous phones for the last 10 years.

So in hindsight, it appears that paid full price that almost fully protects my phone. Also, having to place a secondary order for a holding clip is annoying. Sure, this model saves you money. But it inconveniences loyal customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from low quality belt clip use Otterbox defender for over 12 years now, recently purchase a new one for my new phone and notice the clip where the phone clip been made differently. working in Hvac industry, the phone fall off constantly now with this new style,, they should keep the old style, never had a problem with old style before

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult latching. The holster is good but requires extra care when latching. It doesn’t latch completely unless you press the latch a second time. I am afraid if I didn’t give it the second squeeze the phone might pop out of the cradle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from And why isn't it included with the case? I have always kept my iPhones in Otterbox Defender cases going back to my iPhone 3G, and I do use the holster. The phone hardware stays pristine, more than long enough for Apple to make it obsolete via software (but that's another story). Probably because of the size of the phone, I find that the holster tends to wear out/break first. I just upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus to an iPhone 16 Plus and immediately put it in an Otterbox Defender, even though, despite the premium price, it did not include the holster as it always has in the past. I sent in the card to get the holster for free and I have been using it. After about a month, I can say it's not as good as the one I had for my iPhone 7 Plus; it doesn't hold the phone as securely and I have had the phone pop out several times already, which almost never happened with my old case. I realize the Otterbox is just trying to keep up with the design changes Apple makes, but this one needs a little more thought. I'll continue to use the Otterbox case because there's no better protection out there for my very expensive phone which I hope to keep for a long time, but I hope they'll take a look at improving this holster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iphone16 plus defender I have always loved my OtterBox cases and holsters but a little disappointed when I found that this one did not have the holster (belt clip)with it and had to wait almost another week to get one even though it was free I had to carry it in my pocket which I don't like. But now that I have it ,I am having problems with it staying latched to the belt clip, if I just bump it lightly it becomes discharged and hits the ground or floor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 90% satisfied. Still a great product. Have owned the Defender for the last 3 phones. I am very hard on my phone due to an active job. Need the belt holster which normally comes with the case…but not this one. When I found out it wasn’t included I went to the Otterbox website and paid for one. When I received the case a day later I saw the coupon for a free holster. Ordered that too. Seems like the only things that fail on this product are the holsters and the flaps for charging ports. Otherwise it keeps it safe from bangs and drops. Will stay with the Defender series until quality changes. Hopefully that won’t happen…but time will tell.

This model’s rubber coating is delaminating in less than a month in two locations, exterior side by the camera lenses and new I phone quick camera button. The case’s price commands high quality otherwise would be at least 4 stars. It appears the already annoying failure points might require case replacement in a few short months. My last I-ph14 OtterBox case lasted 2 yrs of harsh use and was 5 ??.

Purchasing directly from Otterbox brings peace of mind and security - I've broken a number of "other" holders that were supposed to be genuine OEM from other vendors. They looked "right" - but none have lasted as long or as well to abuse as the original from Otterbox direct.
