The top half of the phone will be completely out of the case. Doesn’t do my much good for protection. I won’t buy another one after I get a new phone.

The last time I purchased the flap that protects the lighting port started to wear out at the hinge, faster than the normal 2-3 years. This time it only lasted 9 months or so I bought a new one to keep the port dust free. Otherwise, the case is excellent. Protective, small profile, in and out of pocket without too much grab on fabric, yet not too slippery to hold like the phone itself.

Not too bulky but protects my phone when I send it half way across the room because I lost it under a blanket. My only negative remark about this one is the little lightning port flap thing. I hate those. I cut it off of mine. Would be nice to have an option to not have the flap.

I don’t trust anything else on my brand new, very expensive phone! It keeps my phone safe while also being very easy to slide in my pocket! I hope the commuter will be around for many more years!

After trying both, trying to put them in my pocket, appreciate the size added, the commuter was the clear choice for me. Still protective but slim, and with the plastic outside it made for easy egress from many different types of pockets. The superior edge, just above the front camera, doesn't quite lock into place the way the commuter did on my 8+ so I find myself unconsciously popping it off and on the top of the phone. My three children have already tested the drop protection and I'm happy to report no visits to an Apple store needed so far. Overall, just what I'm looking for in a case.

I bought this case and the heavy-duty Defender case at the same time for iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I found they were the same size as the cases for iPhone Xs Max, so I have been testing then with the iPhone X to see which one I will use daily. The only difference is the cut-out size for the camera lenses, bigger for the iPhone 11. I have also used other Otterbox designs, and whichever one uses, they provide the "best of type" protection.

The iPhone 11 max pro is a large heavy phone and I was having trouble picking it up off a table, etc. and actually dropped it a few times. This case has some dimpled grips on each side which make it easier to pick the phone up. Plus it has the inner and outer protective shells.

First one was the Lumen otterbox that i spend $45 at the apple store then after a week the pink rubber front edge became nasty and stained then I bought this Commuter Green case that cost me $35 after ur email discount and its the same problem. Why ur materials are becoming cheap now? I trusted Ottebox for so many years with spending a lot of money and now its frustrating. Do I have to order it on black so it wont look nasty and stain or can you guys replace it with black or dark blue colors so it wont look nasty. Im thinking of not buying ur product anymore because it cost too much with the cheap materials that your company is using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case, but slightly weak near the screen top I have pop socket minis on mine, and just popping them out to use near the screen top, makes the hard part of the case bend and partially release the internal part and the phone. I am a fan of the commuter series cases, and this didn’t happen on my iPhone X, but on the 11 Pro Max, being a larger phone, has some weak points, I guess.

I really wanted to protect this expensive piece of technology from the start. Just like my previous Otterbox case, this has excellent drop protection while not adding too much bulk to the phone. I’m very happy with my Otterbox Commuter case.

I take many table top photos, the light reflection off of any other color case spoils what would otherwise be a nice shot. Next time that you design a case you must somehow add a Minimum of 1/32 of an inch protection around the camera lens area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s good enough This case is a solid case but after a few weeks i notice it scratched a lot and it feels weird to hold the case because of the scratches, also i wish they made the overall grip more comfortable because the plastic or whatever doesn’t feel nearly as good as something like silicone. But overall the case is a solid everyday case that can protect your phone, it might not be the most comfortable but even so it’s still worth the money i’d think.
